The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

First Name: Death Last Name: [unknown] Alias: Keun, The Bloody Demon, Death Reincarnate Gender: Male Age: 15 Height: 5'8" Weight: 130lbs Birthday: April 4th Sexuality: Straight Relationships: None Affiliation: Shippuugakure Rank: Genin Element: Fire, Lightning, Wind Specialization: Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu
Personality: Death is a secluded boy, who would rather spend his time alone than be with people. He holds his tongue, and prefers to stay silent. The reason for his recluse like state is his contempt for others when he was younger. He eventually lightened up on that contempt when realizing that not everybody was the same. However, his silent behavior remained the same, although he isn't afraid to attempt new things nor would he deny a conversation if provided. While he isn't friendly, he isn't rude either.
Because of his chosen seclusion, he doesn't understand his own emotions (or lack of), nor other's emotions, leaving him almost emotionless and alien to emotions. He has a lesser conscience and value for human life, as he wouldn't hesitate to kill if ordered to in a mission, despite why. He has a strong sense of loyalty to the village. He prefers to go for the best and most efficient way in problems and situations, even if it means endangering himself or others.
When around others in a informal manner, Death is slightly awkward. He prefers to stay in his silent persona, keeping up his air of duty, despite a relaxed setting. Even though he is skilled, he is quite naive of people and their needs/emotions, causing potential awkward social situations.
Likes: Death enjoys to work most and proving his worth to his village. For him, work first and relaxing later, as work is fun for him. He likes to make an impression upon people, showing that he's skilled and competent. He tends to keep up an air of always being on duty and being formal.
Dislikes: Death dislikes people who are disloyal, lazy, and are disrespectful. He doesn't like most food, although he'll eat when he needs to, and he dislikes sleeping. He hates losing, and he hates disappointing his superiors.
Motivation: What motivates Death is his desire to prove his worth to those around him. Rather than aiming to the best, he aims to impress the higher ups, he could care less about what his peers think about him. Because of this, he desires more power, yet he doesn't wish to become the kage.
Fears: Death fears failure of his duty as a shinobi. He also fears dying, even if in an honorable way of battle. The fear of death is something that he hides, as he feels that it's a cowardly and disloyal thing to think. Death himself does not know what he would choose if he had a choice of his village or his life, which also scares him.

History: Death was born to an unknown mother and father, who either abandoned him at birth or died shortly after. His heritage is a mystery. For as long as he could remember, he was always fending for himself. Sure, he was orphaned and put in an orphanage, but he was always alone. He had no name, so when he first grasped the concept of speech, he dubbed himself 'Death'. Despite his given name from the orphanage, he only answered to Death and Death alone.
As Death grew up, nobody came by and adopted him, and since he got older, it became harder. It taught Death to not get connected to the other kids, as they soon left him at the orphanage for their new parents, and the older kids were bullies to him. He became more withdrawn and silent, choosing not to participate in conversation. As part of the program at the orphanage, he was sent to the academy to train as a shinobi. He quickly became interested in increasing his skills and prowess, while his contempt grew due to the lazy and immature attitudes of his classmates. He chose to stay to himself, ignoring the attempts of bullying and idiocy.
When Death reached the age of twelve, graduated from the academy as a genin and was kicked out of the orphanage. He didn't mind, as he hated the place itself. Thoughts of burning it down often crossed his mind years afterward, but he ultimately chose not to because of the legal issues involved with it. Death was supplied an apartment and a monthly allowance from the village, as he had no legal guardian and was still a minor.
From that moment on, Death worked simple genin level missions, earning a small sum of money, and just doing his duty as a shinobi for his village. At times, he often wonders where his parents went and why they left him, or if they were even alive. However, he chooses not pursue the answers for his duty to the village and the fact that he is secretly scared about what the answer is.
Since moving in on his own, he became even more of a recluse, as he wasn't forced to talk to anyone, except for the brief mission briefings and the people involved. His contempt for others slowly grew more and more, due to his solitude and lack of human interaction. However, at the age of fourteen, it stopped and he came to an understanding that while humans are flawed, so was he. He still has contempt for others, just not enough to make a big deal or decisions about.

Abeo glanced at Hakumei as he arrived. He smiled and rubbed the boy's head affectionately, hoping that Hakumei wouldn't react by cutting off his hand. That would be extremely unfortunate, especially since they were about to depart for a rather long and dangerous mission, not to mention the fact that it'd be losing a hand in the first place. Especially his left hand, which was his dominant one. Fighting would be more difficult, as would be handseal making.
Abeo listened carefully to Takeshi as he explained the situation. They were to travel to Death Country (which was an absolutely brilliant name) and fight an apparently very powerful creature, known as the Butcher. Even the name was gruesome. While Takeshi was still debriefing him, Abeo glanced at Hakumei out of the corner of his eye. Although he seemed skilled, as he was still selected for this mission, he was still a kid. Abeo felt a strange and awkward worry towards Hakuemei, which was odd as he didn't even worry about himself. He inwardly sighed.
When Takeshi was done, they were off. Abeo closely followed behind their leader, lost in thought. While he did like to travel, he had only previously traveled within the country. This would be the first time that he would leave the country, not to mention that there was large chance that he wouldn't even return alive. And it was to Death Country, a place where the scum (outlaws) lived. Yet, he desired to rule the country. The name was great, and the inhabitants were awful. If he ruled such an awful place, being able to control the citizens, then that would be quite satisfying. Perhaps, later down the road, when Abeo had earned enough power and respect, he would. Until then, he would dutifully follow under Takeshi.
"So, who wants to sing some road songs? Since it looks like it's going to be a while, I say we should spend the majority of that time just singing. Doesn't that sound like fun," Abeo jokingly proposed. As he knew it, songs were the least desired thing to do on long trips, but anything to make it as less tense and serious as possible.
"But seriously," he said, moments later, "we should discuss tactics. What's known about our target? Is he strong or weak? Tough or tender? Fast or slow? Does he smell? If so, then may I request we start off with burning him...or perhaps, cover him up with some air fresheners. Is he stupid? As easy as it to kill stupid people, I think we should make it more difficult and educated him first before we kill him."
