MirageYo! The name's Jonathon Vash, but you can call me by my surname if you want, its totally fine with me. I first grew an intense appreciation for anime and manga in my childhood years. Nothing was better than coming home from a seemingly-endless day of school, plopping down on the couch, and turning on the television to Toonami and watching some of your favorite toons. One thing that may surprise you is that at first, I hated Naruto. I thought it was the equivalent of the Devil's spawn. When I gave it a chance and read a couple of chapters of the manga, I was immediately hooked, and could not get enough of it. Which brings me to the here and now. I searched for a Naruto RPG, found Saga, and as a result moved here when the former was hacked.Ninja ApplicationPersonalFirst Name:Vash

Personal v2Personality:To call Vash a people person would be an understatement. On more than a couple instantces, Vash has been told that he outputs such a warmth that could rival a fire in intensity. One can always find Vash smiling and enjoying himself, entertaining others with his bright personality. Due to this bright visage he demonstrates, Vash can acquire and retain the friendship of others quite easily, and has landed him in some pretty good situations as a result. Throughout his life, Vash has found an extreme amount of pleasure in helping others with any problems they might be having. These aforementioned problems could range from anything as simple as a cat stuck in a tree to something as severe as saving somebody's life. Although most accept Vash's kindness, and appreciate him for it, some people perceive it as overbearing and would prefer it if he would leave them alone. As far as inter-personal relations of the sexual nature go, Vash is very selective of who he shares a relationship that close with.
In spite of his nice, friendly demeanor, Vash has been known to slip into somber moods every once and a while. These moods can range from just being kind of down, to being severely depressed. The less severe dark moods are usually the result of being unable to help somebody with a task, or having to observe a funeral of an unknown individual. The depressions are the result of having to kill somebody during a mission, seeing a comrade get killed, or receiving news of an acquaintance dying. The mild somber moods usually last no more than a day, and Vash recovers quickly. The deep depressions, however, can last for upwards of a couple of weeks, and are not vanquished quite as easily. To escape these dark moods, Vash usually trains his body to exhaustion, such that he will sleep for a couple of days, waking up in a more elevated state of mood. As Vash ascended the ranks within Boufuugakure, he was inducted more and more into the atmosphere of death and killing - what does this mean? It simply means Vash has grown to accept that in order to accomplish peace, some must ultimately die.
While Vash displays a very friendly and uncaring visage of the time, in the depths of his mind he analyzes everything. Whether it be a combat situation or not, Vash is always on his toes. Some attribute this portion of his personality to his adolescence, in which he had to fight to survive, others argue it is due to the ninja life he has learned to adapt to. This aspect of Vash has its perks and has saved his skin on more occasions than one could count on their fingers and toes. Vash's analytic nature has also helped him survive, as years of practice has led given him the ability to notice if most people are lying. Although his actions do not necessarily illustrate it, Vash is very intelligent. The constant meditation and exercising of the mind has led him to become an excellent philosopher and strategist. This has its perks in battle, as he is able to dive within his conscious and come up with a strategy or counter within a moment's notice.
As far as shinobi life goes, one could label Vash as a no-nonsense leader. His ability to come up with strategies and counters on the spot has proved to be a useful ability in the midst of battle, and his insight on battle has proved to be invaluable. Reflective of his overprotective nature, Vash has proven to put the safety of his comrades above the completion of a mission during several instances. One such instance where Vash was forced to surrender a successful mission because he ordered his squad to retreat, therefore ensuring their safety.
Likes:Over the course of his life, traveling has remained constant for Vash, and as a result he loves to travel from one place to another. One of the main staples of Vash's life has been practicing his kenjutsu, whether it be perfecting katas or creating new counters, it has become one of the countless things he enjoys doing. Vash also enjoys helping others with problems they might be having. In addition, Vash enjoys the sweet taste of cinnamon-sugar, the coolness of night, a friendly spar, the sound of rain, and snow.
Dislikes:Due to his intense love of travel, Vash prefers to be on the road most of the time, and as a result he hates to stay in one place for too long; however, this has not hindered him from joining a Hidden Village. Vash abhors any sort of serious conflict, including anything from a simple fight to something as large-scale and devastating as a war. In addition, Vash dislikes hot climates, bitter flavors, and failing to help others.
Motivation:One could consider Vash's prime motivation to be the fight for peace. His philosophy of helping others to achieve total peace is one he strives to educate people with and spread such an influence around the world.
Fears:Vash doesn't hold many fears or phobias, but there is one specific fear in particular that haunts Vash to his very core, following him like a shadow wherever he goes. What is this fear? The fear of being unable to save somebody's life. After failing to do so once in his life, Vash has developed an extreme fear of being helpless in a situation that requires another to be helped or saved.
Clan InformationTakahashi Bloodline Name:Kage no Aoitaka
Shadow of the Blue HawkBloodline Ability:The Kage no Aoitaka kekkai-genkai only reveals itself in a sole member once every other generation. To activate the kekkai-genkai, one must be in a situation involving extreme peril or emotional distress, such as a comrade/friend about to die, or the user himself about to be seriously harm. When activated, the chakra coils of the user triple in size, allowing for a much extensive use of chakra (not to mention an extreme amount of chakra to be used as a result). As a result of the chakra coils expanding so rapidly, a large amount of chakra is expulsed through the body in the form of a shockwave that shoots anything with a ten meter radius flying. The combative purposes of this ability are extensive, as the extra chakra serves to dramatically increase speed, strength, and reaction time. In addition, the user's eyesight is granted extreme clarity, being able to see with such a clarity as members of the Sharingan.
The reason such an excess of chakra is possible is simple. From the moment the Takahashi wielding the Kage no Aoitaka kekkai genkai was born, small amounts of chakra immediately started siphoning in another place where it was stored and untouched. When the bloodline is activated, the large reserve of chakra unleashes itself and allows itself to be used. To regain the immense store of chakra, a work-week of bedrest is required.
Aesthetically, the excess chakra swirls around the user, creating a visual blue aura that does nothing to anything it comes in contact with. The entirety of the user's eye turns blue, as well. In addition, the members of the Takahashi clan are usually gifted with extreme prowess in kenjutsu and weaponry, reaching Jounin-ranked kenjutsu abilities through diligent practice from an early age.
Location:The clan originated in the southern deserts of Kaze no Kuni, but is now scattered throughout the lands in various
Clan History: The Takahashi clan was originally not a clan, but rather a group of families that traveled across the deserts of Kaze no Kuni. These families were ruthless in nature and merciless during combat, maiming their enemies and preserving the life as long as possible, as to cause more suffering. The group would pillage villages and rape women, both in order to ensure the material wealth and continuation of the clan through stolen goods and bastard children. It wasn't long before the group attacked shinobi groups. The first attack was against a fresh genin team from Shippugakure, two boys and one girl. The boys were killed in a most gruesome manner, and the girl raped over and over again. However, what the group did not know was that the girl was the holder of a kekkai genkai - one that entailed great power. It wasn't long before the result of the rape was born several months later: a bastard boy named Takahashi Izuna. Izuna would grow up to become an extremely talented swordsman, such that he could beat anybody in the clan in a battle. The clan soon saw Izuna as a threat, and launched a clan-wide assault on the teenager. Izuna was on the verge of death before he awakened his kekkai genkai and dispatched of his attackers, leaving him the sole survivor of the Takahashi clan. It is unknown what happened to Izuna afterwards, but it is clear he passed on his blood to the future generations, creating the Takahashi clan as it is known today.
HistoryHistory: Vash was born in the outskirts of Shippuugakure to a violent family consisting of his mother, his father, and his older sister. From the moment he was born, Vash ate, drank, and breathed conflict. He was exposed to grotesque sights and views, one of which being an enemy of his family being impaled on a large stake through his nether regions. Throughout his adolescence, Vash was forced to take part in the horrendous practices of his clan, blood staining his hands at the mere age of four. Vash was young and naive when it came to most things, but he knew that such conflict was morally wrong and shouldn't be practice. One night at dinner, his father was boasting about how he killed a man by strangling him with his own entrails, in the middle of the story, Vash snapped and labeled such behavior and actions as wrong and that everything deserves the life it has.
Vash's father crucified Vash to a wall with a katana and wakizashi not soon afterward, a gag stuffed inside his mouth to prevent him from speaking. In the middle of the night, Vash's mother and sister attempted to get him down, as they agreed with his philosophy, but unfortunately, his father found out. Vash's mom was raped over and over again in front of him, and his sister was to be soon after. It was at this moment that Vash activated his bloodline for the first time, albeit prematurely. The boy was able to move his body forward, taking the blades out of the wall as he did so. As his father was about to retaliate with a blade of his own, Vash struck first and impaled his father through the heart, offering a clean and quick death as opposed to the messy and drawn out ones he had been exposed to. Vash, ashamed of the atrocity he had committed, fled his house, using his new found agility granted to him by his kekkai-genkai to flee away to a far-away village.
Vash passed out upon arriving at the village, his kekkai-genkai draining his energy. The villagers took him in as one of their own, nurturing him back to full health. Vash thanked the villagers for their hospitality and made their acquaintance before setting off for a neighboring village. It was like this for years on end, Vash would move from village to village, meeting people and making friends before leaving for another village, in fear that he would be followed by the remnants of his family. It was not long before Vash finally settled in Boufuugakure, the Village Hidden in the Storm, and enrolled himself in the ninja academy, making excellent marks before graduating as a ninja of the village.
Vash, a ninja who was untrusted due to his adeptness of ninja arts before entering Boufuugakure, was placed in a one-man cell, forced to complete mundane and boring missions until his background could be verified by the higher council of the village. It wasn't long before news of a middle-aged man that was slaughtered by his son reached the ears of the higher-ups. Vash was fully accepted as a full-fledged ninja and was placed into a Genin team not a week afterwards. The genin cell Vash was placed into was led by an uncaring Special Jounin who was only looking at leading a team of genin as a promotion. Countless D-ranks were accomplished by the genin, who received little knowledge from their sensei. It was only through countless nights at the library studying ninjutsu and then teaching it to his teammates that Vash was able to adequately prepare his team for the Chuunin Exams. However, the bright and promising aspects of the Chuunin Exams soon turned grim, as Vash's team was hunted down in the physical portion - ending with one teammate dying. The death of his teammate sent Vash into a blind rage as he activated his bloodline for the second time and viciously tore the throat of his enemy out. Because of his efforts during the Chuunin Exams, as well as the recognition of his bloodline playing a prime factor, Vash was promoted to Chuunin ranks.
Throughout his time as Chuunin, Vash had to undergo vigorous training in order to make up for lost time during his genin years. Various fields of abilities went through an extreme improving - kenjutsu being the most advanced skill at Jounin rank. Vash was seen as fit to do missions, and was sent on some as such. As time progressed, Vash was forced to engage in combat with others, sometimes to the point of death. These constant clashes with battle and death would prove to steel Vash's personality against forces he once despised. Instead of viewing death as an evil that should only occur naturally, Vash realized that in some instances, death and combat must be utilized in order to save much more lives. Following this slight change in philosophy, Vash was sent on his hardest mission yet: an extermination mission. The mission dossier pointed out that a gang had been on a killing spree, and was heading towards an affiliated village of Boufuugakure. Vash was forced to kill one-hundred and sixty-two people that night, and as he rushed back to the village, various people saw him fly by, earning him his notorious moniker: "The Red Wind." The extermination mission, along with the advancement of skills earned Vash a promotion to Jounin rank.
Currently, Vash serves as an ever-loyal ninja of Boufuugakure, willing to shed blood in order to ensure the safety of innocents.
RP Sample:Takahashi Nekoro plunged a kunai into the man's shoulder, being sure to nick an artery as he ripped it out. As the gleaming metal blade tore its way through the flesh, beautiful flecks and droplets of blood - the glorious, life-giving blood - sprayed onto Nekoro's face, and he greedily savored each drop that happened to land near his mouth. It was such a delight! To have such control, such dominance! To have the power to take or spare a man's life on a whim... It was magnificant! Nekoro ducked under a swipe with a katana from a figure behind him, spinning with the same kunai outstretched as he did so. The kunai found its target and sliced the jugular clean open, arterial spray gushing with each pump of the dying heart within the man. Nekoro's tongue trailed the flat of the kunai, sopping up a majority of the crimson liquid that lay on its surface. The coppery sensation that occupied his mouth never failed to appease. Nekoro's delight was soured by an obnoxious, raucous racket.
"Oh? Yelling?" Nekoro's mocked as he viewed five men rushing at him from a distance, swords poised to strike him when they got within range. "Not today, boys!"
Nekoro crossed his arms, drawing two swords as he did so. He span in a circular motion, cutting through anything stupid enough not to get out of his path. The man stopped and admired his work, the only sound being the dripping blood and whimpering. 'Wait, whimpering...I missed one?' Nekoro thought. The whimpering man flinched as the blade came down upon his abdomen, splitting the flesh apart and revealing the shiny entrails inside. Nekoro reached inside and grabbed an intestine before pulling it out and wrapping it around the man's throat, effectively choking him to death.
"I only got to kill two hundred and twenty." Nekoro pouted.
As he made his way back to his house, Nekoro wondered how he would enlighten his family about his endeavors. Surely his son would like it.
