Name: Raiton: Fudou Kyutai (Lightning Release: Floating Orbs)

Description: After performing a series of handseals the user launches several balls of lightning from their moths, which remain floating in the air where the user wants for three posts. This can create up to five orbs and the user can manipulate them to move within 5ft of where they initially placed. These orbs can be used to temporarily trap someone. This trapping ability will barely stop a genin. Alone this technique has little purpose except as a distraction however, it is required for the Raiton: Gobou and can be used to extend the range of lightning based attacks by passing them from orb to orb. These dissapate after three posts and have a cooldown of four. If used in conjunction with a raiton tech it boosts the power by 5% per orb that it passes through (so if all five 25%). These orbs are 1ft in diameter.

Description: After performing a series of handseals the user slams their hands on the ground. A few seconds later two ropes of black lightning will erupt from the ground and wrap around the target's wrists. These move very quickly (30mph) and are thus quite hard to dodge. Once the arms are bound another two ropes will extend from the ground and attempt to bind the legs. As soon as any part of the body is bound the target will receive an electric shock. This shock is focused on the nerves entirely and can cause numbness or temporary paralysis for a single post. The shock leaves mild first degree burns. Even after the shock has happened the rope will remain until broken or until three posts have passed. The bonds themselves are about as strong as thick rope and can be broken with enough strength. However, the pain caused by the shock can prove to be a distraction as can the numbness/paralysis allowing for the user to get a strike in with another technique.

Description: With this technique the user charges their finger with black lightning chakra over the course of one post and then launches this off as a single bolt of lightning straight ahead. This requires no handseals and requires one post to charge. This requires a two post cooldown. It is possible to use two of these at once, (one on each hand) and this is required to perform the Raiton: Goubu. If two fingers are used it counts as two D rank jutsu instead of one. Whilst this is being used the user cannot perform handseals without shocking themselves. The damage of the bolts is quite low with piercing power roughly twice that of a thrown kunai and the shock can leave a heavy numbness as well as some 1st degree burns. These travel at approximately 30mph.

Name: Raiton: Goubu (Lightning Release: Pentagram)

Description: This requires the Raiton: Fudou Kyutai to be used either beforehand or in conjunction. After the orbs are in place the user uses the two bolt variation of the Raiton: Kuroburoto to send lightning into two of the lightning orbs. This sends the bolt into the remaining three orbs to normally form a pentagram (or something similar depending on the layout). This then hits anything within the confines of the shape with black lightning. The power of these bolts depends on the distance the orbs are away from each other. The closer they are together the more powerful the shock will be. This also shocks the ground beneath the orbs. These orbs can be a maximum of 9ft apart and a minimum of 4ft when used for this technique. This bypasses the 15ft range of the black bolt because each time it hits an orb it is basically re-fired in order to complete the pentagram. If in the centre when the orbs are 9ft from each other this technique is equal to being hit by six black bolts all at once and can leave heavy second degree burns and can cause heavy numbness. If in the center at 4ft the power is more focused and so it is like being hit with eight black bolts all at once and can leave 3rd degree burns as well extreme numbness to the state of temporary paralysis on the area(s) hit for two posts. Slightly further out (say between two orbs) the numbness is less extreme and the burns are only 1st degree, though quite extensive.

Description: With this the user performs a series of handseals ending with a clap. As they spread their hands after the clap a solid black spear 5ft long(the appearence of which is normally similar to this) forms between the hands which is then grabbed with either hand and either thrown at a target or used as a close range combat weapon. Once it is grabbed the spike at the base of the weapon as well as the blade and spike at the top constantly pulse with black lightning however the rest seems solid and does not damage the user. It is as sturdy as seasoned oak.

Anything hit with the tip of the blade receives a powerful electric shock that can cause numbness or even temporary paralysis of the area hit for two posts. This will also leave 2nd degree burns. The tip being of lightning nature has high piercing power and can easily pierce through flesh. The shocking effect is only active if the weapon actually pierces something, so if it was resting against the leg it will not shock the user. If used as a close-range weapon then this will last three posts. Although it lasts three posts if either the points or the blade hit two objects then it will dissapear.

If thrown at a target when it hits something it will dissapear after pulsing once with black lightning equal in power to the blade and spikes of this technique.

This technique has a four post cooldown.

Name: Raiton: Kuroi Bakudan (Lightning Release: Black Bomb)

Description: After performing a series of handseals the user concentrates black lightning into their palm where it swirls and forms a ball of pure black energy 1ft in diameter. With a thrust of the arm this is launched at the opponent where it will explode on contact (including on contact with an object or floor) sending Black Lightning 5ft in every direction. The explosion is equal to two exploding tags and the lightning has five times as much piercing power as a powerfully thrown kunai. It can cause heavy numbness and will leave some heavy 1st degree burns. It is possible to use this at relatively close range, but this can put the user at risk unless they prepare certain precautions. This travels at about 20mph. This has a three post cooldown.

Special Jounin

Name: Raiton: Kokuroi Bakudan (Lightning Release: Great Black Bomb)

Description: An advanced version of the Raiton: Kuroi Bakudan. This technique requires both hands being used. Once the handseals are done the user holds their two palms in front of the with the index fingers touching. They then focus a large amount of black lightning into their palms where it swirls and forms a ball of black energy 5ft in diameter. With a thrust of the arms this is launched, normally at an opponent, where it will explode on contact with any object sending out large amounts of black lightning in every direction for 10ft. This black lightning is more condensed and thus it will cause more damage then the Black Bomb. Like with the Raiton: Kuroi Bakudan it is possible to use this at close range, but this can put the user at great risk, unless they prepare certain precautions. The explosion is equal to five exploding tags and the lightning is equal to being hit with about twelve times more power then a powerfully thrown kunai. This can cause temporary paralysis in the area(s) hit for three posts and leave heavy 2nd degree burns. If someone is hit directly with this it is possible to kill them unless they have some protection like the Suiton: Senmu. This travels at 30mph.

Description: This technique creates a substantial amount of Black Lightning which takes the form of a panther-like creature that seems to emanate from the user's own body. It can be used to affect multiple victims at once by electrocuting them. Like various other Lightning Release techniques, the potency of this ability can be increased through the application of water. This requires a single handseal: Ram and requires several posts of charging (depending on the level of the user) The electrocution is similar in power to half that of a bolt of lightning and can cause extreme 3rd degree burns. This has a 6 post cooldown.

The panther itself is about twice the size of a full-grown lion and it travels at approximately 30mph.

Jounin

Name: Raiton: Tatsujin Kuroi Bakudan (Lightning Release: Master Black Bomb)

Description: The highest level form of the Black Bomb technique. After performing a series of handseals the user concentrates black lightning into their palm where it swirls and forms a ball of pure black energy 5ft in diameter. With a thrust of the arm this is launched at the opponent where it will explode on contact (including on contact with an object or floor) sending Black Lightning 10ft in every direction. Unlike its lower level techniques this has a close range variation. If the user thrusts the ball directly into a target or the ball explodes within 10ft of the user then it will only surge lightning forward and to the left and right as does the explosion. The black lightning of this technique is also more powerful so it will do a greater amount of damage then the Great Black Bomb. This has a six post cooldown. The explosion is equal to 10 exploding tags and the lightning has 25 times more piercing power then a powerful thrown kunai. This can also leave heavy 3rd degree burns. The numbness caused by this can lead to temporary paralysis of the area(s) hit for four posts and can cause death if the opponent is hit directly with this. It travels at about 40mph.

S-ranked

Name: Raiton: Kurodageki(Lightning Release: Black Strike)

Description: The user coats both arms and legs with powerful black lightning in order to heavily increase the power of their taijutsu techniques. The piercing power is significantly increased and each strike is likely to leave temporary paralysis on area(s) hit for four posts or if the user is hit someone particularly fatal (e.g. the heart or brain) this can cause death. Each strike will also leave extremely heavy 3rd degree burns, similar to those left by being hit with 75% of a bolt of natural lightning and it is quite easy for the coated areas to pierce an opponent. This can be used once per topic. The coating lasts four posts and whilst active the user is not able to form any handseals or perform any other jutsu. Furthermore, use of this technique will cause the user some pain whilst in use so it takes a strong will to use effectively. This technique can cut through up to A rank earth techniques easily and will only be slowed down slightly by an S rank earth technique. If a water technique e.g. the Killing Floor is hit with this then the electrical current can be sent through the water to shock any people within it with black lightning of about 50% the power of natural lightning. This can leave heavy 3rd degree burns and temporary paralysis for 2 posts.
