The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Personality: “All things truly wicked start from an innocence.” ~Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast
Ukiyo is truly evil incarnate, liking no more than the suffering of others until their untimely deaths; Sadism at its extremes. This little known truth is absent from anyone meeting her, as she can act out and lie without pause. Her guile is legendary to the point that no one even knows of it. In her life, she has not met anyone who knows her true self.
“Many human beings need no supernatural mentoring to commit acts of savagery; some people are devils in their own right, their telltale horns having grown inward to facilitate their disguise.” ~Dean Koontz, Odd Thomas
An extremely great temptress, Ukiyo acts like she loves the world as it is, drawing people in naturally by her warm glow that seems to constantly be about her person. She relishes luring in and toying with her prey before she extinguishes their life. It isn’t uncommon for her to toy with her prey excessively, whether it be in battle or otherwise.
Likes: Ukiyo is fond of the cool night air, the moon’s light shining down upon the planet, the stars glistening in the distance. She is a night owl, if you will, much preferring to go through her day in the moon’s rays rather than the sun’s. Dusk is around the time that she becomes active, though this is entirely just a preference.
Ukiyo is a morbid being. She savors every moment of another’s pain or suffering before they meet their end. She adores torture in any form, and doesn’t mind if it gets a little bloody. She favors a long, clean and drawn out kill to quick and messy ones. However, this doesn’t mean she isn’t incapable of such a thing. When the time calls for it, Ukiyo is more than willing to slaughter an enemy as needed, her bloodlust getting the better of her.
Ukiyo loves both men and women, desiring neither over the other. Her “love” of both sexes is more or less a lie in itself, as she hates all humans. She does, however, love that with her beauty she can control the hearts of others. This “fancy” of both genders has also driven her to like the arousal of her prey. Since she figures that people are vulnerable sexually, she can more easily manipulate them using sex as a weapon. While she may enjoy the manipulation that comes with her sex appeal, she doesn’t necessarily like her enemies to be pleasured.
Ukiyo has a “soft spot” for the other animals of this planet. Other than humans, she has no problem with animals. To her, they are the true rightful inhabitants of the world. This caring for animals also leads people to like her for her compassion, thinking that it is a personality trait rather than a disposition towards animals.
Dislikes: Ukiyo hates humans. There is nothing more that she wishes to destroy than the humans that exist on this planet. Her deep rooted hatred of humans cannot be quenched by anything other than the purging of their life. She is disgusted by their very presence upon this planet, a parasite to all of the world. She feels that they are vile creatures that deserve only death upon them. No one in her life has ever been deemed to be acceptable to her.
Obnoxious people are the worst. Ukiyo has no time for a person who doesn’t listen, or only talks to hear themselves. If such a person appears, she feels the need to make quick work of them, a method she doesn’t particularly care for.
Pets and other animals that align themselves with humans are terrible beats that deserve to be put down. Ukiyo find clan animals, pets, and other animals that are friendly to humans to be “guilty by association.” Thus, she loathes them nearly as much as humans. It is notable however, that she is indifferent to the pain of animals, taking neither pleasure nor sorrow to it.
Motivation: Until such a time that humans don’t exist, Ukiyo feels that she will never be truly happy. As long as there are people in the world, Ukiyo will exist to destroy them. Nothing motivates her more than the prospect of getting to reduce the population of the human world. As such, assassinations, war, clashes, and skirmishes push her to be as ruthless as she can.
Fears: It has once been said that Ukiyo takes pleasure in the pain of others because she herself is afraid of it. However, this story is unconfirmed, as no one has ever had the chance to injure her in her life. The fear is said to actually be a phobia that causes her to have an emotional breakdown, and then faint.
Kyūketsuki
Bloodline Name: Fushi no Ketsueki 'Immortal Blood'.
Bloodline Ability: Kyūketsuki possess 20% more strength and speed than that of a human, complete with incomparable grace, a different sort than the animalistic fluid nature of lycanthropes. They are able to sap the life out of their targets and therefore have a much bigger lifespan. Kyūketsuki do not have a sense of taste as they cannot ingest food and don't need to.
Age: As the Kyūketsuki can have a longer lifespan and even reach immortality their ages might differ from their appearance. Many people might want to be older than they look, to have the advantages of having a young look and yet a wiser personality. There is a standard +200 words required if you want to apply for being older than you look and besides that you'd need to calculate how many words extra per age.
The added wordcount per age is 50 words. So what you need to do is take the age you want to be minus the age your appearance looks like and multiply it with 50. If you want to be 50 years old and your appearance is 20 years old you'd get 50 - 20 = 30. Now multiply 30 with 50 and you get 1500. This is the number of extra words you'd need to write to 50 if your appearance is 20.
Location: Tsuki.
Clan History: The Kyūketsuki is one of the hailing clans in Tsuki. Many Kyūketsuki and Ookami are constantly fighting. Their history is quite unknown for Kyūketsuki are quite mysterious and don't show themselves much. In order to stay secretive yet show power in the village they always have a representative in the board of regents. While the Ookami are fairly scattered among themselves in smaller groups the Kyūketsuki managed to be more organized. Over the years they managed to own some land and buildings near Tsuki such as the Fortuna castle.
History: "It was then, staring into the fear, that my tortured existence was truly born." ~Anonymous
It is unknown as to how Ukiyo came to being in this world. She has no hospital records, nor any residence within the Moon Village. Her years of growing went unnoticed by the people of the Moon, much too busy with their lives to know or care about a lonely thing growing up within their village. In fact, most do not know of her existence.
“Wickedness goes to great lengths and depths where it is not checked and restrained by the free and continuous expression of the indignation of good men.” ~Henry Ward Beecher, Proverbs from Plymouth Pulpit
Though the other people in Ukiyo's Village do not know her, she knows them quite well. During her time in solitude from society, she has watched them live their lives from the various buildings around the city. She didn't move around too often, typically choosing one place to stay for a while and living there, watching the people on their daily routines. By this, she was sickened. It was not a long thought process for her, it came instinctively as she saw their selfishness, their pathetic attempts at selflessness, and overall cooperation. She does not know why or how she came to being, but she does know what her future is going to be and is set on completing her goal.
“People are always shouting they want to create a better future. It's not true. The future is an apathetic void of no interest to anyone. The past is full of life, eager to irritate us, provoke and insult us, tempt us to destroy or repaint it. The only reason people want to be masters of the future is to change the past.” Milan Kundera
At a young age she realized that she didn’t need sustenance to survive as the others around her did. She was never bothered by this, it only meant that she could do more in a day than others her age. Ukiyo was quite the busy girl as she grew up, constantly observing the humans around her, training herself to become stronger, keeping herself hidden from society. She never took up the formal ninja training until much later in life, preferring her own instincts and clan abilities over anything despicable humans could teach her.
“Just shut up and entertain me, meat puppet.” Bradley Whitford
Ukiyo is much older than she looks. Her appearance is that of an eighteen year old woman, but this is false. Her clan allowed her to retain her young looks much beyond her years, but that is not the only thing that has altered her appearance. Ukiyo has no recollection of how it happened, but it did. From all the years of her life, there is a memory that does not exist. Ukiyo was made into a human puppet. Her body looks entirely like a real person, indistinguishable from others. The wood her body is made of is as smooth as skin, and could easily be mistaken for real skin, as it has the many times she allowed someone to touch her. Not only this, but she is nearly impervious to damage, as the only true part of her that can be damaged is a small cylinder in her chest that contains her heart. Her body parts can be broken or ripped apart, but she can pull them back together with ease.
She eventually grew bored of Tsukigakure and thus traveled the world, both honing her skills and observing the inhabitants of various places. It was always the same to her, though, people going about their daily lives as if they had the right. They had no such right, those parasites of the world. At least, she gathered, she would know of the other cultures, animals, and architectures of the world. All of which are useful in life in some way, be it combat or social manipulation.
“I've been a wicked girl," said I: "But if I can't be sorry, why, I might as well be glad!” Edna St. Vincent Millay
For a time she visited the Cherry Blossom Country and went to see as many places as she could. As she had no need for sustenance, days were long, but fruitful, one adventure leading to another. She knew that she wouldn’t be particularly fond of the humans that lived there, so she tried to avoid visiting the Hidden Jungle village until last. Much of the forest was too much for her, causing her to stay out of them entirely, like Pantano del Verraco. Though strong and formidable as she was, she was unable to even enter the place, though she figured it was probably for the best. After all, things would likely only get worse the deeper she went.
Ukiyo quite enjoyed the Spectra Forest. It was definitely a sight to see, though the animals were dangerous as the environment was beautiful. She was especially fond of the Old Tree, knowing that it had lived there for centuries. For many a year she spent thinking and traveling its various tunnels and passageways. She did not know of the myth saying that if she ever found her way to the top that she would be granted eternal happiness, nor would she truly care. She decided that this place would definitely be a favorite to her, as there were no humans to bother her, and she could just lose herself in the maze if she so pleased. The Black Swamp was also a place of Ukiyo’s liking, though for a different reason entirely. She didn’t spend much time there, as there was little else to do than watch animals come to die. She quite liked that there was a specific place for those who wanted to die. If only humans would just come here and die, she thought.
Ukiyo visited the Sea of Light on one boring day, but was unamused. She quickly left the place, as she found it uneventful and overall just unpleasant. It was on that same day that she was attacked by various Jungle animals. She fought them off as best she could, but was defeated in the end, as she was no match for the wise, old creatures of the forest. Once they realized that she was not a meal for them to eat, they simply tossed her away. Annoyed of course at being bored of a sea and then torn apart by animals, she collected herself and went on her way. She didn’t much mind that they had destroyed her, as they were simply looking for a meal and maybe even just protecting their forest.
At last she visited the Village Hidden in the Jungle. There she did as she normally did when among humans; watched and considered. None of the points of interest were all that amusing for her to see, so she didn’t stay too long. Humans acted as humans were, only this time there were animals there as well. While normally she liked animals as they were, she was not too fond of animals that were pets of humans. They were disgusting things and she didn’t understand them at all. Aghast at such living conditions, she left without a trace.
She didn’t particularly care to go see a bunch of humans huddled in a corner to keep warm in a giant glacier village, so she never visited the blizzard country. She had heard that they were particularly cold to outsiders anyway, so she figured her manipulation would be more difficult than it was worth. Beyond that, it was probably more likely that they would expect her to wear a heavier outfit than what she normally wear, and she wasn’t bothered to change her clothes. Since she is a puppet she has no need for temperature specific clothing like heavy coats and pants or skimpy bikinis. Although she would certainly consider wearing the latter should the weather deem appropriate and the humans nearby be worthy of manipulating.
Ukiyo was present at the fall of the Hidden Avalanche village, though she was most certainly not hit by the brunt of the assault. If she had, she would not be alive anymore. Instead, she was only crushed by the ruins of some buildings she was nearby. As a puppet, she had no problem getting out of her predicament with her body intact. She was glad she was there for it, though, as she got to see the death of many people. It was quite a happy moment for her, and she felt that she would always remember the mass murder that happened on that day. Before the village fell to the hands of another Kage, she had heard of a hidden city that was nearby from some local villagers. She spent some time searching for this village, but to no avail. She never really had a reason to go to the place, so she figured it probably wasn’t worth the effort she could put into it. Since there was little else to do since the hidden city was still hidden and the hidden village had fallen, she moved on to another place of interest.
Ukiyo was not particularly fond of the constant storming that went on in the Heat Country, nor did she care for the excessive heat of the hidden volcano. The storming got in the way of her social interactions with people, and was not great for her appearance, so she could never have her fun. Plus, since she cannot feel correctly, people would think it strange that she would be out in the rain and the like. If she was going to go out, then she felt that she should have a human be a puppet and hold an umbrella for her. Since she didn’t want to spend any effort looking for such a person, she never did find someone, and just left without staying for very long. Ukiyo knew that it would be dangerous if she caught fire or didn’t notice the extreme heat of the hidden volcano, so she never went there.
Being somewhat lazy, or rather indifferent to a new place, Ukiyo never visited the hidden hurricane, either. She knew that she would have to visit the places that she hadn’t already at some point in her life for whatever reason, but the ocean country was not appealing to her. While traveling back to the hidden moon, however, she did get to hear about its inhabitants. She didn’t feel any different towards them than she did anyone else. All was as it should have been.
She could hear his labored breathing as he clambered into the alleyway. He knew not what was following him, but he could feel the malicious intent shadowing him as he walked the streets. It was a foreboding presence that drove him to walk faster in the street, but it only felt like it was getting closer the faster he ran. Thinking there was no other option than to throw it off his tracks, he ran into a dark alley, thinking it would lead to the next street over. He was wrong.
Ukiyo followed the man to the end of the alley, watching him as he scrambled to draw some chakra for a wall climb. As easy as it normally was for him, for some reason he just couldn’t do it when he needed it most. It was far too late anyway, Ukiyo was upon him. He turned around to face the mass of murderous intent that was stalking him to find a teenage girl. She appeared to be a young, beautiful girl, why was she in such a place this late at night?
“Oh, what’s wrong, dear?” She asked the man. Her voice was pleasant and sweet, a stark contrast to her true intentions. The man would have been trembling from fear by now, but for some reason her voice put him at ease. He let out a sigh and replied, “I-I thought I was going to die just a moment ago.”
Ukiyo smiled and walked up to him. She spoke again, raising her arms to him for an embrace. “Everything is fine now that I’m here.” The man could feel only relief, completely under her control though her genjutsu. He hugged her tightly, like a child would his mother. However, this was a mistake on his part, as her chestpiece began to sap the remainder of his chakra away.
She stroked his hair like a caring mother would, feeling his arms become weaker by the moment. She drew a kunai from her wrist joint in her free hand and placed it against the man’s throat. He would have started to put up a fight, but before he could he fainted from the lack of chakra in his body. With his limp body pressed against her, she slit his throat and pushed him away. His body fell backward and landed flat on the pavement. Frowning now, she stopped her voice from sounding sweet and spoke to the body in front of her. “Disgusting human.” Without a drop of blood on her clothes, she daintily walked to where his head lay. She narrowed her eyes in disdain and stomped on his head with all her might. His skull was crushed from the force of the blow while blood and bits of brain flew up around her.
This was but one of many murders on Ukiyo’s part. Her clan’s graceful abilities allowed her to kill without worry of ever being caught. She had no preference over sex, age, or sexuality, as she hated all humans the same. No one was able to guess that it was a single person doing the killings, as she never kept a certain element the same throughout. That was not to say that every single time she killed someone it was done uniquely. After all, that could become a bit tedious to come up with new ways to kill a person.
Ukiyo continued these murders for a while, never keeping to a schedule so that she was harder to catch. She never got bored of it, either. It simply felt right to continue the killings. One by one she was cleaning the planet of its pests. In more recent years, she stopped abruptly. She decided that she would lead the authorities to believe that the murderer was dead.
Though not entirely bored of the world, Ukiyo has decided to change her lifestyle of doing whatever she pleases, and conform to the ninja villages she has been living in. Becoming a ninja, she gathered, should help her meet her goals. Or at least make her that much harder to kill.
RP Sample: I knew by now that it was not safe here. The familiar chill of the night was replaced with a warmer, humid, almost comfortable environment. This startled me and I had to take in a breath to contain my surprise. I found that my chest ached in a way that meant that the bindings that held me just earlier were too tight; All to the sick lust of whomever did this, I'm sure. I could feel that the ground wasn't cold and that it seemed almost....alive. Almost as if it was breathing down my neck, or going to swallow me up the moment I took my guard down. I hadn't opened my eyes yet for fear I may see something I may never 'unsee'. Now, it seemed, that it would be a good idea to take in a good perception of my surroundings. If the kidnapper came back, I would need to know the area I was in so I have a better chance of escaping. That is, if they hadn't already planned this out and this was all just a little game for them.
