Two adjectives that would best sum up Yuumaru's personality are passionate and strong-willed. Having been born into the most powerful clan in the world, the Senju clan, Yuumaru has always faced high expectations from his clan. Deemed as a gifted young man and respected by both his family and peers, Yuumaru grew to have an optimistic and determined personality. His ultimate goal is to drive away darkness in the world.

On a personal level, Yuumaru is very friendly and open to forging new bonds. He does not like having other people as enemies, and will instead try to be friends with everyone. However, Yuumaru has a very competitive spirit, sprouting from his desire to make his clan proud. He is a very bookish shinobi, with his academy friends remembering him as the one who always got straight A's and the one who always had his face buried in his textbooks.

Being a descendant of Ashura, the true heir to Ninshuu, Yuumaru has an easier time making friends, and has a positive, albeit sometimes naive, outlook on the world. His mother and father often took notice of his burning passion, which manifests itself into his powerful Fire Style affinity. He believes that the children of the world deserve a better place to live, and so his ninja way is to drive away darkness.

Yuumaru loves being around other people, and is generally accepting of everyone. He also likes studying ninjutsu and spends a lot of time training. Although he hates to admit it, because he wants to focus on mastering ninjutsu, Yuumaru is a sap for anything love-related. He likes being around girls, reading romance books, the like. Okay enough about this I want to focus on my ninjutsu!! *blushes*

Yuumaru’s naivety pushes him to desire to rid the world of the darkness that’s plaguing it. As such, he hates all evil-doers. As his mother taught him, no matter how small the deed, if it be evil, then it must be condemned. An experience that taught Yuumaru this lesson the hard way was when, as a kid, he trusted a couple of teenage civilian bums into helping him with his groceries. The bums ended up mugging him and stealing all of the ryo he had saved for a year.

Yuumaru's ultimate passion is to make the world a better place. Sometimes he is labelled as a naive person, but he doesn't care; he doesn't go back on his ninja way! Taught from a young age by his parents to always look for the best in people, Yuumaru believes that all people are capable of being good. It’s just factors outside of their control that push them into their “fake” selves--their evil selves. And so, Yuumaru wants to master ninjutsu, so that he could gain acknowledgment and hopefully one day change the world just as his famous grandfather did.

Yuumaru is afraid of being alone. Having grown up with friends, just thinking about loneliness makes Yuumaru cringe. Both losing loved ones to death or to conflict are Yuumaru’s greatest fears, and he will strive to protect everyone he loves. As such, he treasures each and every bond he has made in his life. Because of this outlook in life, he was the favorite of his grandfather.

Mokuton Wood Style is an advanced nature kekkei genkai that combines earth and water-based chakra natures to create wood, or complete trees. This ability can also be used to create other aspects of trees, such as seeds or flowers. Wood Release techniques can be produced from anywhere, including the user's body, as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life. Wood Release Techniques Mokuton no Jutsu are commonly affiliated with the Snake seal. due to their many battles with the uchiha they have a natural resistance to genjutsu that reduces genjutsu used against them by 1 rank. The Mokuton jutsu is rather difficult to control and thus only chuunin and above are able to use it. members can choose not to have earth and water as elements but if they do not have them they will not be able to use wood style.

The Senju clan descended from the younger of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths who was born with the "body" of the Sage, inheriting his father's strength of will and physical energy and believed that love was the key to bringing peace to the world. The Sage grew to favor the ideals of his younger son over those of his older son, who believed that power alone was the true key to finding peace. Therefore, on his deathbed it was the younger of the two brothers that the Sage chose to name as his successor. The elder brother, bitter and hateful at having being denied what he felt was rightfully his to inherit, attacked his younger sibling. The Uchiha clan would descend from the elder brother, resulting in the bitter centuries-long rivalry between the Senju and the Uchiha.

The Senju clan gained their fame in the era before the founding of the hidden villages. Where other clans focused on mastering one particular skill, the Senju were prodigious in all skills, from ninjutsu, to taijutsu, to genjutsu. Because of this, they were "the clan with a thousand skills" which gave them their name "Senju" (a thousand skills", or "a thousand hands").

The Senju's place at the top of the shinobi world was undisputed, but there was one clan that was able to stand up to them: the Uchiha clan. Whenever one country hired the Senju, their enemies would hire the Uchiha, and vice versa. This led to a rivalry between the two clans.

The Senju clan, grew tired of the fighting, and a peace treaty was formed with the Uchiha clan.  The two clans came together to stop fighting. The Senju settled in the Cherry Blossom Country, and the Uchiha moved to the Ocean Country. Due to their lack of a basic kekkai genkai at the time the Senju clan all but disappeared the lines between them and other clans becoming dimmer and dimmer until eventually the clan disappeared. An occasional person can be found with these abilities but overall it's extremely rare for people to have any ability contained by the Senju clan, but it does happen and not just in their original country several villages have claimed to have a ninja that holds these abilities.

Yuumaru is the only child of Senju Masako, the daughter of the famous Senju hero Daiki, and Keiji, a civilian residing in the Hidden Jungle village. When Yuumaru was a child in the Academy, he thought himself inadequate, because he did not possess the treasured but rare Wood Style kekkei genkai that his grandfather had. His grades in the Academy were starting to slip, especially when he found out about his elemental affinity. Eventually, with the help of his grandfather, he learned to look past his faults and blossom into a splendid young shinobi. Although his grandfather died shortly after saving Yuumaru from a melancholy life, Yuumaru treasures his grandfather’s last words to him, and knows that his grandfather is always with him, watching over him. Wanting to prove his grandfather right, Yuumaru started to turn his life around. Working hard to rescue his grades, he graduated from the Academy at the top of his class. His civilian father, who was an architect in the Hidden Jungle, taught him to be balanced in all his Academy subjects. Earlier, Yuumaru had only focused on Ninjutsu, his favorite subject. It turned out that balancing his efforts was Yuumaru’s key to success.

He also started appreciating his Fire Style affinity, working day and night to master Fire Style jutsus. Although he will never learn Wood Style, Yuumaru took comfort in his grandfather’s words that he should be proud of himself, and embrace his own unique strengths. Passion bloomed within the young shinobi, and it manifested into the strong embers of his Fire Style chakra. Practicing with a bamboo sword his mother bought him, and staying after class to learn from a sensei that was a kenjutsu practitioner, he became proficient in kenjutsu, even though kenjutsu wasn’t taught in the Academy. His senseis looked in anticipation at the future of this determined young man. Now, fresh from the Academy, Yuumaru is ready to step into the ninja world!

….”Did you know, my son, that even Asura, our ancestor, used to be a failure? It wasn’t strength that enabled him to defeat Indra...no, Indra was more powerful. Do you know what it was?....It was guts….If you get back up whenever you fall, then it doesn’t matter how many times you fail….you will eventually succeed! I tell you, Yuumaru….work hard, and in time, your Fire Style will incinerate even my Wood Style.” Grandfather...thank you. I won’t let you down. Just watch me!

Enter: Senju Yuumaru! "Yuumaru, my boy, what is the matter?" Senju Daiki, who was once a formidable and imposing shinobi, was now bedridden. Yuumaru held back his tears, remembering that his grandfather was once feared, but now largely forgotten. Of all of Daiki’s children, only his second daughter and her family visited him. Yuumaru, the son of his second daughter, therefore, was his favorite grandchild. “Come on, boy, I know when something’s bothering you.” Yuumaru had always reminded Daiki of himself. Yuumaru, however, felt just the opposite. He couldn’t even fathom the possibility that he could someday rival his grandfather’s deeds and exploits. “It’s just...it’s just that,” Yuumaru couldn’t hold it in anymore; tears started rushing down his cheeks. “My son, keep yourself together. Men aren’t supposed to cry, remember?” Yuumaru hastily wiped his tears away, hoping to save whatever dignity he had left in front of his grandfather. “I’m sorry, sir. It’s just that, when my parents and I finally went to Lady Chieko this morning, I found out that I only inherited grandmother’s elemental affinity, Fire Style. I…” Yuumaru sniffed and tried to hold back his tears once again, but to no avail. “I wanted to be like you! I’ve always dreamed of being like you! A Wood Style shinobi! A great shinobi!” The tears were now gushing stronger than before. “And now...I can’t...I can’t be great anymore…” Daiki let his grandson release his tears. After a moment, he motioned Yuumaru to come closer. Then he put his hand on the boy’s shoulder. “My son, never, ever forsake yourself. Whenever doubt sets in, kick it out! Always be proud of who you are. Your grandmother was a great shinobi; that’s why I married her!” But Yuumaru would have none of it. He shook off his grandfather’s hand. “But I’ll never be as great as you!” Yuumaru sat down on the chair next to his grandfather’s bed. “You’re right. You’ll never be as great as me.” Yuumaru shifted in his seat, shocked at his grandfather’s response. He looked at his grandfather. Daiki was smiling. “You’ll be greater.”

Those were his grandfather’s last words to him, and Yuumaru has and will always treasure his words in his heart. Grandfather, I know you’re watching from above...I’ll prove you right!
