Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Mission:House Cleaning
Difficulty:D
Location:Tsukigakure
Reward:10,000 ryo
Objective:He will ask you to take out the trash, pick up four different stacks of papers that are the size of a child, fold shirts, dust and make his bed.

---------------

Hellllooo!

Semasu called out at the front of the house, this was the address on the piece of paper she had copied from the mission board at Tsuki's help-center. The help-center was a renowned business that was operated by Tsukigakure's government; here was where people posted mission to accomplish when they needed help. Quite lately, the government had taken into special consideration, the old people: they were after all, our previous generation that saw the protection of the village... it was only right that they were cared for when they grew too old to take care of themselves.

A moment later after her initial call, an old woman appeared at the door; she wore a smile even though she supported her body by walking with a walking cane. The woman was surely very old, all of her hair was grey with no streaks of vibrance that were once there; her eyes were somewhat glassy from seeing too many sights in her lifetime, and her skin was no longer smooth but wrinkly. She was a kind old lady though, not bitter like one might expect from a shinobi who could no longer do the most common house-hold tasks anymore.

Ah.. you must be the fine young shinobi who has volunteered to help me? Quite a beautiful young girl, I bet the boys are all over you!

Semasu nodded her head, but then half-grinned mischievously at the mention of the boys- most of them were afraid of her: she had a way of instilling fear into those without as much vitality and stubbornness. She was more interested in the girls of the village, than the boys: the boys were always so full of themselves- often making excuses when she bet them up.

Yes Ma'am, I am here to help you with your chores.

The old lady nodded her head and motioned for Semasu to follow her inside, the woman walked slowly: Semasu counted her stride to keep up the slow pace with the old lady- not wanting to hurt her pride. They walked through the small house and the old lady pointed at several objects and specific things she wanted done. After the explanation, the old woman seemed tired from standing so long, she trusted Semasu would get things done properly and went to recline in a chair out on the back porch- mostly to enjoy the fresh air and relax in sunlight.

Semasu had been taking notes in a small booklet she always carried with her; confident hat she could accomplish everything how the old lady specified- she eagerly got to work as soon as the old lady had disappeared at the back of the house. First she swept the floor and wiped down the furniture, there was so much dust that Semasu was certain anyone could get sick from just breathing the air: she assumed the old lady had debated whether or not to ask for help for a long time- it was the only logical explanation to why it was so dusty in here.

Next she took on the giant stack of papers; mostly just old newspapers and old mementos from the old ladies shinobi days. Several were old memories about missions she had been on, pictures of her and her squad... they looked so happy together. A hint of jealousy rose up inside Semasu, she hadn't yet gotten assigned to a squad- though she somewhat doubted she would get along so well with anyone who was assigned with her... After she had separated the trash from treasures, she took the trash out- several large bags were more than she initially suspected. She sat the bags out by the road, certain that the village clean-up crew would pick them up in the morning... She would make certain that they did.

She then began to fold the clean laundry that had been done recently: it smelt fresh with the soap that had been used on it; this chore did not take long, because the old lady favored only a few sets of clothes. Lastly was to make the bed for the old lady, making the bed was important- at the end of a day... it was always best to relax in one's own bed and be content before falling asleep, to wait the next day. The bed was larger than Semasu had expected, but then again- this woman had been married once, her husband had died in the last ninja war. The bed was soft and made of feathers, a thick blanket was folded at the foot of the bed, ready to be spread across it, along with sheets, two pillows and a pillow case.

This was by far the easiest task, except that the pillows were giving her trouble fitting into the pillow cases; after a brief struggle, the bed was finished and Semasu wiped a small amount of perspiration from her forehead. Helping people always made her feel good, being paid to do so was just a benefit. She left the bedroom and went out to the back porch where the old lady sat, enjoying the sunset. When the old lady saw her, she knew Semasu was done and invited her to sit at the small table across from her in a small chair. Semasu complied and sat comfortably in the chair and enjoyed the sunset with the old lady.

Doing the chores was only but a small part of the mission, the largest part was being social with the elderly; far too often were they lonely and needed someone to talk to. Semasu sat there and conversed with the old lady until it was nearly dark and then excused herself so that she could head home. The old lady thanked her for her fine work and handed her a note to give to the Help-Center to prove she had done her job.
