The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Shinoe couldn't help but smirk at Miyako's jibe at Mr. Creeper about not being deaf and she patted the blind girl's shoulder in encouragement. The man then went on to apologize but doing a very bad job of it, so badly that her expression had dropped into a flat stare as she stated, "You really weren't kidding about the poor knack for words huh? Jeez..." Shaking her head, the brunette leaned back against the side wall of the cave. When the silver haired man asked if they were really going to have a fire, the brunette shrugged. "Feel free to try. I only do suiton and I'm pretty sure Miyako wouldn't be very good at trying to make a fire she can't even see. Unless you're holding out on us?" Shinoe posed the open question to her new comrade before continuing, "Not sure where you're going to find dry wood or leaves though." Honestly she didn't particularly care. It wasn't that cold and the wet didn't bother her, she had absorbed most of it anyways.
Having heard his comment on her lack or sense, Misora was practically clutching onto the handle of the kunai she still had her hands on, tempted to just give that guy a good beating. If he couldn't speak properly, then he might as well think before he even spoke. She started mimicking the way he spoke under her breath, her head shifting downwards so as to prevent the nameless creep from seeing the movement of her lips. Shinoe had given her a good pat on the shoulder as a sign of her encouragement, something which seemed to change her point of view of Shinoe. Well, at least she'd shown some support instead of teasing her for this once, and that was something she ought to be thankful for. Then, the nameless creeper spoke about having the fire a suggested by Shinoe. The heck? What was wrong with him? Shinoe had meant it as a joke, and even she knew that. "Ayame might have some of those twigs with her. She brings a fe-" Misora's voice trailed off at that point, forgetting that Ayame wasn't even with her. "Never mind." was her continuing of her speech, before she sat herself on the ground as well, grumbling to herself. Ayame was still missing, and there was no mistake that girl could have gotten lost or something. Well, at least she wasn't blind, unlike Misora. Yes, Misora was an excellent tracker, but se decided not to use any jutsus to find Ayame. It was sort of lik a challenge for that rash medic-nin, and this was also to test Misora's patience. She wanted to see how long she could survie without her 'pair of eyes' by her side for a while, but this was actually a last minute decision that she chose after she and that girl had gotten separated. She was definitely going to get an earful of nagging from Ayame, who was more of an elder sister who took charge of everything to her.
Lee listened as Shinoe spoke about his way with words and that they were not a laughing matter. It was then said by the same girl that she only knew water release techniques and that starting a fire would be more than difficult with just that. She then added that, even with someone well versed in fire release, they would need something dry to burn to keep said fire going and Lee nodded his head in agreement that this was a sound and viable dilemma. Misora on the other hand seemed even less at ease with his presence and made him worry more so as it was the 'quite ones' or so they say.
It was then that Misora spoke of an Ayame and that she may have firewood for them but then quickly withdrew the subject. Lee then looked at the two and clapped his hands together and nodded his head in self-agreement "I will return with something to burn." And with that, he turned and returned to the rains of the outside. Once more, it bothered him little but it did still bother him. He would simply have to find something to make due and see just what these girls knew. 9/30
Shinoe glanced at her new companion as she began mentioning a person called 'Ayame' having twigs before cutting herself off and dismissing what she had said. Raising an eyebrow in curiosity and confusion, the brunette decided not to say anything at the moment, instead turning back to Mr. Creeper. He announced that he would leave to find some fuel for a fire before departing out into the rainy forest again. When he had gotten more than a few steps away, the newer genin let out a sigh. "Jeez, thought he'd never leave. I wonder if he's really coming back. I definitely don't trust him... Count yourself lucky that you can't see his smile. Reminds me of a snake or something." Shinoe shivered slightly not from cold but revulsion before recovering and tilting her head to observe the other genin girl. "By the way... Who's Ayame?"
She figured Shinoe would ask about Ayame, just the right timing as nameless went off to look for whatever they could use for a fire. Gosh, looks like he really took the fire thing seriously. "Ayame's my navigator. A medic-nin about a year older than me. She's got an IQ level around 150 and loves calling me a twit." She kept the appearance part aside since she herself didn't really know what Ayame looked like. She could have asked, yes, but what was the point of knowing the description of Ayame if she couldn't even see it for herself? "And why do you say he reminds you of a snake? You've got something against snakes, is it?" she took Shinoe's comment a little serious, seeing that she came from the Hachūrui clan, known for it's affinity with all sorts of snakes.
A loud snapping sound follow by a sickening thud before ending with a grunt was heard from what seemed to be above the cave, small pieces of rocks and dust particles falling off the ceiling. The chakra signal was very familiar, and that had to be non other than Ayame herself. "Speak of the devil." she mumbled, remaining quiet nonetheless. Ayame had no clue that the two girls were right under her feet, waiting for that nameless creeper to return with or without the needed materials. Why she kept quet was simple. She wanted to see if Ayame would notice that she was above a small cave, but also because she was just lazy to yell to Ayame to get her down. Besides, if Ayame hadn't found her by the end of the day, Shinoe might help guide her back to the village, that or she had to find Ayame with her sensory. She could practically hear that brash medic-nin yelling out her name along with the words 'twit' and 'baka'. No doubt, it had to be her. The way she spoke and her chakra totally gave her identity away.
Lee moved himself further and further away from the cavern with little care as he moved from tree to tree, peeking around each time to see if anything was behind it or in sight and each time, it was nothing major. His task was actually far from easy as during the current heavy rain, much, if not everything was dampened by the rains but that would give him little hope as he aimed to still find something to use for the fire and it was then that he gave himself pause and stood straight up and placed a finger to his chin. WHO was going to start a fire if he was going to be bringing back the firewood? That was never established in the first place.
He looked back in the direction of the cave and thought about heading back but he knew that if he did that, surely he would be questioned for not having anything to burn even if they didn't. He would have to look closer and around for at least something he could dry or that could dry once back. 10/30
