The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Misora made her way down to the stadium, having rested enough the day before and a nutritional meal. She was going to need all the strength she could get for the battle she would engage in during the Chuunin exams. Aw man, she was getting nervous at the mere thought of it, especially when she had come un-blindfolded. This morning, Ayame had suggested her to go without any blindfold covering her eyes as a way of scaring the opponent maybe, by having him or her look at those cold lifeless eyes. A stupid theory, but it was worth a try. Ayame was amongst the crowd with Misora's parents, all of them shouting out her name and cheering her on. "Hachūrui Misora, ready to fight!" she said, saluting to whoever or whatever was infront of her. There wasn't any chakra signal that could be from her oppanent, so she figured that it was either she that was early, or that her opponent was late. Either way, she would have time to plan out all her attacks step by step. She could practically hear low murmur coming from the audience around her, a few even shouting at her to give up. So what if she was blind? She made up for it with her other senses and sensory skills, so why were they so biased against her? Nevermind them, she'd show them how good a blind moron could be. Even if she lost, she'd have known she tried her best, and that was what she could be contented with, though she did want to become a Chuunin...

Mitsuko remembered the countless training seasons with her father, brother and sister. It all seemed to come down on this. That is a lie. After this, life would continue. it didn't matter she would win or not, it would. What did matter, was that she wasn't going to make it easy for her opponent. She would grab any chance to win if possible. This was evenly matched two gennin. They were just from different villages. Mitsuko entered the arena. She could see that her opponent was already there. She could see her saluting and speaking. But she couldn't hear what she said. Mitsuko went closer. She looked in the tribunes. Of course her many people from different villages were here. A lot of people seemed to be from this village. Most of them were clearly cheering on the side of her opponent. It probably meant that her opponent was a local. As she approached her opponent, she bowed the same way she did just now. "greetings, Shichiyou Mitsuko, may the best one win. Can I please now your name? I was to far away last time." She said. coming up from her position only after she finished. She looked in the eyes of her opponent, or where the eyes were supposed to be. She blindfolded herself? That was foolish. Was she underestimating her. That was downright rude. It surely made Mitsuko angry. She felt down to her belt, where raijin hung nicely. Ready to be drown and the first moment needed.

Eden stood at the 'back' of the building, waiting for the two genin contenders to arrive. As he waited, he wondered how the Chuunin Exams would run this time around and if the genin this year will be just as promising as last year's Chuunin Exam contestants. It was odd being the proctor twice in a row, but he figured it could not be helped as he was often the best suited for it considering all of his battle experience. His eyes were most likely the most well-trained of all the other jounin in his village in terms of fighting, so he knew too well what things to look for in such a setting as the Chuunin Exams. After a couple of hours, standing in the exact same spot, he watched as the first genin walked into the building. This was Misora from our own village. The girl seemed ready enough as she waited for the other contestant in front of Eden. Soon after, a few minutes after, the other genin came in and stood opposite Misora. The other was Miyako who was from the village of Hyougagakure and a member of the renowned Shichiyou Clan. This was going to be an interesting match to say the least. "Alright, now that you both have arrived, lets get started. Please keep the fight clean. No lethal strikes. The fight will continue until either one of you gives up, passes out, or if I deem one of you unable to continue fighting. If you both are ready, then..." He paused a moment, giving the two genin a second to breathe before the fight began. He then shouted aloud in a serious, judge-like manner. "Begin!"

(OOC: I mentioned that she wasn't wearing a blindfold, but nevermind. Just pretend that she is wearing one.)
"greetings, Shichiyou Mitsuko, may the best one win. Can I please now your name? I was to far away last time." A Shichiyou ey? Aw man, this wasn't the Shinoe girl she oh so hope to battle against at all, though it wouldn't be too much of a dissapoinment if she fought with a Shichiyou. Trying out new things should be what would increase her knowledge and know more places, and what better way was to do that than fighting someone from Hyougagakure itself? Besides, she could have her battle-for-fun with Shinoe anytime she wished, so long as Shinoe stayed in Tsukigakure.
The proctor had announced the rules and announced the start of the exam, but Misora answered the Shichiyou's question first. This time, the childish and immature persona she had was completely replaced by a serious and more mature version. "Hachūrui Misora from Tsukigakure. Just a sidenote by the way, don't go easy on me just because I'm blind. I wouldn't really like to be underestimated," she paused for a moment to allow her opponent to prepare herself as well as taking in her scent before shouting out "I'm coming at ya'!" she produced two kunais from the pouch clinging around her thigh, charging towards her Shichiyou opponent without hesitation, dust forming as she stepped on and off the ground. Yes, she had she was blind, but her hearing, smell and sensory skills made up for that in a way that she could run down a street without help. She swung the kunai held in her right hand at the girl, attempting to land a few cuts on her. If the girl managed to dodge her first attack, then she would back it up with the other kunai in her left hand.

(ooc: Sorry about that blindfold thingy.)
Mitsuko calmed down almost to same moment she became angry. She was blind she said, so it didn't really mattered she came to her blindfolded the result would be the same. The jounin explained the rules. No real killing, and a clean fight. Well, what was a "clean fight" for a ninja? That was not important for the moment. Once the fight started she saw the girl moving towards her. Her blind opponent said something about attacking her head on. That wasn't the best idea. Mitsuko was dangerous in close combat, and she had a legendary sword to compliment her skill. "charging at a swordswoman without a sword? admirable but foolish. " Mitsuko immediately draw her blade and blocked the first strike, she saw a second attack coming and attempted slice the second kunai in half. If the attack hit, it Raijin would make short work of it. As she attacked she remained her balance during her defence, and as such countered only a second later. She attempted to give her a slice in the arm. This could cut off her arm if not dodged. It would hurt a lot, but not be fatal. Losing her arm would unable her to use any seals. As she didn't had a blade the resort to she would have if that happened was taijutsu with her legs or last hand, if that happened. She still hadn't used raijin's special ability. She hoped she wouldn't have to use that.

"charging at a swordswoman without a sword? admirable but foolish. " Pfft, how was she even supposed to know? Besides, everyone had their own way of fighting, so that didn't really bother her. Misora's first attack was blocked, and her second attack was sliced in half. She retreated back at once, jumping back to avoid any oncoming attacks Mitsuko would have attempted. Right, so the girl was a swordsman as well, that just made things a little more complicated...
"Doton: Domino Kōka!" 3 blocks each about 3ft tall would surround Mitsuko, blocking her from moving left, right or backwards. Misora would then proceed with her next move, a spear made of earth forming in her hands. "Doton: Yari!" With that, she'd take a few steps back, readying herself before running towards Mitsuko, stopping a few feet or so away and hurling the spear towards Mitsuko. If Mitsuko had managed to dodge it, the blocks would fall on her, not crushing her underneath but trapping her and restricting her ability to run off and giving her a few bruises and scratches. If she managed to dodge both her attacks, then Mitsuko would be given a chance to throw a projectile to Misora who was standing rather near to her.

The girl jumped back, which was normal. But Mitsuko didn't gave her much time. She jumped immediately after her. Close combat was her field, and she wasn't going to let her getting away from it. Suddenly one of three blocks of rock appeared around her. They weren't big, just slightly less then a meter. She couldn't go left, back or right. That meant there was only one way to go. To the front. She already did so though. So meaning if she did this Jutsu on Mitsuko she would be taken with it to, as Mitsuko was standing right in front of her. She saw her opponent was making hand seals for the next jutsu. This would mean that she would do another quickly. Mitsuko rolled behind her as she did so. A spear formed outside of her hand. Mitsuko at the same time came up. She saw the spear coming at her. It hit her just on the side of the belly. It made a small scratch, but it wouldn't really hinder her fighting ability. She in response used her own technique. She attempted to slashed down Misora and unleashed her own jutsu. " Cloud-Style Front Beheading" She shouted while firing a wave of fuuton chakra at her opponent. She was standing right in front of her. She fired it horizontally it wasn't very likely she was going to dodge this, as the wave was about 2.7 meters big. And it could was strong enough to crush rocks. It wouldn't break a bone, but it would severely damage Misora should it hit her.
