Maybe it was the fact that part of him was an animal, but Kara had often got on well with animals. Very well, compared to what most of the men around here worked with. Whatever the reason, he got the feeling that the noble girl that had sent him on this mission abused her cat. Simply by calling him Mister snugglywugglycuddlypoofy-kins. It was rare for him to burst out laughing, especially during a mission, but when he had been told the cat's name he started laughing uncontrollably before asking what the real name was. Apparently the owner didn't like that, and as he walked through the jungle to try and find the damn thing, there was a bright red hand mark against the side of his face, showing just exactly what happened to him. He was sure he heard Grandpa snickering in the back of his head, but he could laugh it up all he wanted. It wasn't like it particularly mattered to him, he was getting paid for this either way and that woman was going to have to apologize to him when he got the cat back. How she was going to love eating her words, he thought as he trudged through the village.
Noticing the first signs of the cat, he ran forwards and grasped the cat around the waist. Checking the cat's id tag, this was definitely Mister snugglywugglycuddlypoofy-kins. Apparently the name was unbelievably ill-fitting, as it had a fierce temper. Such a fierce temper, in fact, that he wriggled around in his grip and thrust his claws upwards, scratching across his face. Slicing through the already sore bit of skin, he felt the warm flow of blood coming out of his face and dropped the cat in surprise. The vicious bugger.. When he looked back for the cat, he was nowhere to be seen. Oh, this was not going to happen, cat. Running after the trail of fresh pawprints, he moved through the village for around two minutes before he found the cat again, leaping over a puddle. Catching it again, but this time knowing enough to keep it away from his face, he allowed himself a momoent of happiness about his victory before the bastard thing slammed it's leg out behind him, raking up the underside of Kara's right arm, the grip weakening just for a second to let him wriggle out again.
This was getting him nowhere. Concentrating chakra through his entire body, he felt an unpleasant coldness for a few seconds as the chakra coated his body, before turning it into a strange mass that resembled a living rock.Running his hand over the injury, he saw it caked through the stone like it was a vein of some sort of rich ore. So, injuries didn't disappear whilst in this mode... that was good to know. Looking for the cat, he noticed that it had crawled up a nearby tree. The damned thing stuck out it's legs, slamming out a pair of acorns that just clunked off of his armor and fell to the floor harmlessly. It was a rather odd sight, but as the cat lay there, Kara rolled his eyes. This was going to be a pain, wasn't it? His cheeks bulging as if he was a squirrel swallowing acorns, a series of glistening bubbles came out of his mouth, attracting the cat's attention. Struggling to reach far enough to pop them, he quickly fell out of the tree. Frankly, if kara hadn't managed to catch him, he might very well have just fallen on the floor and died. Now to go get the reward.
