The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Izumi walks through life without too much care. She is fully aware of everything she does and most of her actions are done without reason. She herself really can't give much reason for half the things she does, and is just floating through life without much motivation. This causes her not to really care about the things happening around her and could care even less about the people around her who have shunned her out.
Being a naturally quiet person Izumi would much rather listen to others than speak herself. If in fact she does strike up a conversation she tends to give off a sort of melancholy attitude towards the person. This changes as one gets to know her and she'll seem more open and comfortable. Her interactions with others are usually more or less strained because of the lack of trust she has. Izumi usually waits to be spoken to first and never comes out of her shell to approach someone herself.
Izumi has her own ideas of right and wrong and has no problem with standing up for her beliefs. She will never judge anyone for their past transgressions nor will she side with anyone on any matter unless she feels it's the right thing to do for her. Izumi cares little for violence, and never engages in battle unless she has too. The fact of the matter is she thinks she can't control the beast she had inside of her and rather not rely on it's power. She never speaks when she has to fight and even after the fight she is quiet. If she happens to win she'll just walk away as if nothing happened. Her usual battle style revolves around wearing her opponent down while saving chakra and taking hits. When the moment is right she will strike.
Coming to peace with the bijuu inside of her, Izumi is on rather good terms with him. She understands that she needs him and he understands that he needs her. Izumi has grown to enjoy Genbu's poetry and takes his wisdom happily. Though the beast rather be free he has not been particularly cruel to the young girl and became more like a guardian to her. On some days the two can have a full blown conversation and share their poetry in bliss almost forgetting the world that has forsaken them. Because of her time with Genbu Izumi has come to love other forms of art, including Painting, Singing, Origami and many others.
Likes:
Izumi has many likes most of them influenced by Genbu while others she just finds that she enjoys. Naturally because of the beast she enjoys the water and swimming. She rather be submerged in water rather than walking on land if she had her way. Poetry was the base for her liking of different art forms such as painting, origami, even singing. She found peace and beauty in doing these things and even found she had quite the knack for doing it. Genbu has been with her for a while, since she was born. Izumi has enjoyed his presence even if he was the cause of her being shunned out. He didn't ask for this and neither than she so for a demon to be so understanding Izumi feels pretty lucky.
Dislikes:
Izumi doesn't care for much attention nowadays, seeing as how she has gotten use to not having much anyway. She feels attention will just bring her trouble so she rather just be alone or if anything with a small group. Violence is something she can't really stand and rather not fight at all if she can help it. Izumi understands what can happen if she gets into a heated battle and dislikes the thought of possibly killing another person if she herself is not careful or possibly getting herself killed. Another thing Izumi does not like is those thinking that they are better than others because of some power they have. She does not present herself in that manner even with Genbu inside of her, she feels all should be humble.
Motivation: Izumi knows one day will come where she is hunted down and killed for the beast inside of her. She wants to protect herself and show everyone she is not the monster that they so unrightfully dub her as. Her motivation is to live, live and become much more than anyone expected her to be and to find the father that had abandoned her.
Fears:
Letting those who shun her control her mentally. She knows she is hated but she refuses to give in to it no matter what ( I know cliché ). She also fears the day when she has to fight for her life. Tomorrow is never guaranteed but in her case every moment is something to be thankful for.
Nanabi no Genbu
Bloodline Name: Nanabi no Genbu
Bloodline Ability:
An innate ability of the Nanabi jinchuuriki is the ability to swim twice as fast as any ninja should be able to, and water jutsu come naturally to the jinchuuriki (E-rank jutsu have D-rank damage, though D-rank also have D-rank damage). At the chakra cloak level, the jinchuuriki can tap into the Nanabi's wisdom more easily, allowing them insight during a fight and increasing the power of water jutsu (D-rank to C-rank).
At first tail, the jinchuuriki can easily breathe underwater, making it impossible to drown the jinchuuriki.
At second tail, the chakra cloak becomes more dense, and the jinchuuriki can tap into the Nanabi's knowledge even more (allows knowledge of [but not use of] D-rank canon jutsu, including clan jutsu).
At third tail, the skin on the back of the jinchuuriki becomes hardened, allowing the jinchuuriki to block D-rank taijutsu moves, but also making the user 3/4 as fast.
At fourth tail, the skin becomes leathery, the user can tap into the Nanabi's knowledge more easily (allows knowledge of [but not use of] C-rank canon jutsu, including clan jutsu), and the skin on their back becomes harder and thicker (blocks C-rank taijutsu moves and D-rank weaponry/kenjutsu, 50% speed).
At fifth tail, the user gains more knowledge from the Nanabi (B-rank canon jutsu), the skin at their back actually becomes a shell (blocks B-rank taijutsu and C-rank weaponry/kenjutsu, 50% speed), and the water jutsu used are more potent (C-rank are now B-rank in power).
At sixth tail, the jinchuuriki's shell becomes large enough that they can pull their bodies inside, protecting them from A-rank taijutsu and weaponry, but decreasing their speed to 25%, except in water. Their lips also become beak-like and hard as stone, allowing them to bite and tear off limbs. They also gain knowledge of A-rank canon jutsu, and B-rank water jutsu become A-rank in power.
At seventh tail, they become the Nanabi himself, their shell now able to withstand S-rank taijutsu and weaponry techniques, and gaining all knowledge of the Nanabi. A-rank Suiton jutsu are now S-rank in power, and the Nanabi can now stomp hard enough on the ground to cause earthquakes large enough to make opponents lose their footing.

History: Passing on the torch
Her time was coming, it was only a matter of moments before she wouldn't be able to smell the fresh breeze that rolled in from the window near the soft bed she laid in. Her blue eyes flickered as the sun peered into the room and filled it with a soft glow. The only thing that she could feel was the pains in her lower abdomen and the heavy hand that was holding her own. Turning her face to the side she took in the sight of a male, her husband. He was stronger than she was and he had always been there to protect her from the world. Her face had turned wet with tears as she looked into his eyes, trying in the last moments of her life to be as strong as he. The woman, Kokoro Miyazaki, Jin of the seven tails, was in the last moments of her life and it scared her to know that she only had so long to live.
A sharp pain worst than the rest shook her to the core, it was time to go. At this point she couldn't hear a thing as she thought of the name for her first and only child. She saw the lips of her husband moving but she smiled while tears ran down her cheeks. In the room three others stood over her, two medical ninja and a fuin master to help with the birthing of both babe and beast. The seconds ticked down as seals covered her body and she could only do as the doctor instructed. A strong voice guided her as she pushed with all the energy she had to muster. In what seem to be a stop in time she gave her final push. Her last breaths became her last words as she muttered the name of her child. " Izumi...That will be our child's name.. I love yo...." Yes the child was a girl and even if it wasn't the name would have not changed because Nero would have honored his wife's last words.
With the passing of a life, into the world out came a child with hair a soft canary yellow and eyes that were as clear as springs. The child didn't cry but stretched out, struggling for the warmth of someone, anyone. It was a beautiful child indeed and it was quickly placed into the arms of it's father. The seal around the child's tummy indicated what was inside and once again another generation had successfully passed on the torch. Nero could only smile at his daughter, it wasn't her fault this was just how things worked. The man that was said to slay a village without a second thought was now sitting here crying as he looked into his daughter's eyes. The medical doctors informed him that a wet nurse would help the babe until she could eat solids, and that the body would be well taken care of. Nero could only nod as he prepared for his new life and his new purpose in life.
One step forward, Two steps back
As a baby Izumi was like every other, pooping, crying, eating. In quiet wonder she observed the world through innocent eyes. Her father, Nero loved his daughter more than anything else in the world. Once she was born he would set aside his duties as a ninja and along with the wet nurse take care of his child. In order to keep providing for his child Nero took up a job that allowed him to work in the village. Izumi grew healthy and before Nero knew it she was walking and soon after talking. The wet nurse was no longer needed but she had fallen for Nero. The wet nurse who's name was Kana didn't care for the child but wanted to be with Nero. Nero was unaware of this as he still loved his wife. Kana stayed around the family watching over the child coldly as Nero worked.
Izumi was not a stupid child, and she could feel the animosity that Kana gave off. She knew that Kana didn't like her, she knew that everyone in the village didn't like her. Izumi didn't know why this was and when she asked her father why the villagers gave her mean looks he would only tell her to ignore it. Izumi never did like that as an answer but she knew her father loved her and it was all she needed. Around the age of seven Izumi was explained about what was living inside of her. This scared Izumi and she now understood why she couldn't make friends and why no one liked her. This made her feel alone but her father would assure he that he would always love her, and someday the people would look pass the beast and see her. With the truth in the air Izumi felt sick with the people in the village. It was not her fault that a beast was in her, in her eyes she thought that she should be praised for keeping something from destroying the village. Once Nero had explained to his daughter her situation she was placed on a mentally and physically healthy regimen. The young girl was to meditate daily, study, and work out so that she kept her mind and body busy so that she would have an easier time controlling the beast inside of her.
Although Izumi was doing what she was told her father was afraid of what would happen if she went to the academy. He remembered how his wife was when she was angered or saddened and he knew the power of strong emotions in a Jin. Nero decided to keep Izumi from the Academy until he was sure she wouldn't explode on others which would bring more hate towards his daughter. For one year Nero drugged his daughter, unbeknownst to her. The drug was to calm her and he constantly provoked her, by treating her harshly and leaving her with other children knowing that they would do the same, he even urged Kana to do the same. Although it hurt him Kana enjoyed it and saw this as an opportunity to confess her love to Nero, thinking that he felt the same about her. The drug worked well and slowly weaning his daughter off of it he continued to treat her harshly in order to make sure she would " not care " and it worked. Upon reaching nine years old Izumi was sent to the academy and Kana saw her chance. Confessing to Nero she spoke of his daughter in a ill manner and suggested that the two sent her far away so that they could be together comfortably. Nero all this time was trying to calm his daughter while he himself was the angry one.
For a long time he wanted nothing more to be angry that his life had become complicated but he had to be a man. Nero's eyes darkened and Kana could tell she was in trouble. Without another word spoken, Nero grab at Kana's neck and crushed it into his hand. In truth he was starting to get annoyed with the woman but it seems now he had committed a grave crime something he himself knew was going to eat away at him, not to mention get his daughter taken away. Nero did not think about the next steps as he burned the body to ash and cleaned it all away, he knew someone would come looking for her but he had to leave. Nero knew what would happen if he stayed so he left the village seemingly undetected. No one questioned him as he past through the gates because they knew and respected him. All Nero left behind was enough money to pay the rent on the house for twenty years and a letter with a way to locate his brother.. It was one of the hardest choices Nero had to make, but he rather live to see her again one day in the world than to be imprisoned and have her shunned even more..
Izumi's first day of school was as she expected it to be so there was no real surprise. She knew enough already to be ahead of her class because her father had taught her, and Genbu had already started to speak to her once the drugging started. The drugging must of " awoken " Genbu because it was the first time he ever spoken to Izumi. He told her what her father was doing but she didn't care. Izumi knew if her father was doing it then it was for a reason. The two had talked a lot and life didn't seem so lonely anymore with Genbu so her first day of class went smoothly for her. Once it was all over she quickly rushed home, happy to talk about her day and the things she learned ( which was the things she already knew ). Bursting into her home she spoke loudly calling out to her father. Running through the house she found it empty and no response to her callings were heard. With a tad bit of worry she wandered into the kitchen and saw the ryo on the table along with a note. Quickly reading it she became confused but Genbu explained it clearly, her father was not coming back. She felt herself tearing up but did as she was told. Quickly she ran off to the kage's place and to her surprise she was accepted with open arms. The kage listened to the young girl and took the note. Reading it once he sent out a squad to find her father and sent another squad to locate her uncle in the case that they didn't find her father. The kage explained that she was to be in his care until one of the two showed himself.
It didn't take very long for her uncle to be found but they were having a very hard time searching out her father. The search would not last more than a week but notices were put out for the man. Until he was found Izumi stayed with her uncle who was just as loving as her father and found the child rather fascinating ..
It gets better...That's what they all say
Three years in the academy and Izumi was already a genin. Her father was never found but she formed a very strong bonds with her uncle. Even though Izumi would try to be nice and peaceful to those around her, the people of Kusa only saw her as a monster and a threat. Izumi though hurt had learned to deal with it and just ignore the world except those she knew loved her and Genbu. Her uncle would frequently reward her and was happy to present her with a bit of news of her father when she graduated. To Izumi's surprise and happiness, her father was still very much alive and in order to ever see him again she would need to become strong. Although she was happy she still didn't know why he had left and her uncle could not provide her with anymore answers. Although she was Genin she was also a special case and as such was not put on a team. She was told that one would come to her soon but until then she would be going at things alone, as she had always done.

The moon shone bright and full, illuminating the clear dark skies, outshining the starts surrounding it. The full, soft light that the moon gave off was the only light that covered the mountain, flooding every nook and cranny that it could touch. Cold, strong winds whipped up dangerously and would be so to those not use them. In the long hours of the night Hoshimi trained under the stars that she was renamed after. During these times most if not all of the members of the Shikyo clan were asleep or at the very least patrolling the caves and mountain itself, watching over the land that they have claimed as home. Hoshimi on the other hand could not sleep, and she was unable to patrol, so the young Shikyo did what she felt was best. " Hyaa! Hyaa! "
A tiny voice broke out against the crisp air, breaking the silence that was settled into the area. Small fists broke small chinks of rock from the craggy sides of the mountain, soft thuds echoed in her ears as her fist connected to hard rock. Hoshimi began to flinch at each punch but did not falter as she continued on. Being under lord Kurokon had made the young girl feel unworthy to be in his presence as of late. Since being rescued by her savior, Hoshimi had gotten to comfortable around him and showed little sign in regard to paying him back with her life. " Hyaa! Hyaa! " The little voice with much determination went on as her foot connected to where her fist once hit. Those in the village had welcomed her and she didn't look to far off from those who were born into the Shikyo clan. She could easily be mistaken for a blood relative with her snow white hair bouncing youthfully from her tiny little head. Though she knew she was apart of the clan she couldn't help but feel beneath them because she was not born into the clan. Her abilities though quite amazing was nothing like she saw those of the clan. As she kept up perfecting her punches and kicks sweat began to form mixing with salty tears that had seem to break down from her eyes. She wished to be stronger, to live a peaceful life, but in a world like this peace didn't exsit and as long as she lived she would have to fight, no matter how scared of the world she was. Her tiny hands and feet kept going, she had been going for hours, her pale skin turning black and blue around her hands and her feet swelling in her boots. The wind kicked up around her, the coal colored scarfed wrapped around her little face billowed in the wind
