- Patience:
Name: Patience Type: Patience is a bladed sheathe for another weapon; namely sloth. Rank: S Quantity: 1 Description: Patience is a special sheath created specifically for the sheathed sword style of fighting. The sheath is fairly standard for the purposes of holding a sword, however it is unnecessarily long, being as long as a full on sword all by itself. The sheath has a thin but sturdy blade protruding from it on all sides, shaped like the general outline of a katana. At the base of the sheath, there is a non-bladed section, serving as the "handle" of the bladed sheath, allowing for it to be used as a sword all on it's own, even with the actual sword still in the sheath.
Abilities: Patience increases the wielder's foresight through a minor form of clairvoyance, allowing them to peek at the future once per post (approximately 6 seconds into the future, and all the time in between). Patience also gives the wielder the focus to take in all the details of their surroundings, along with the details of the future that they are peeking into; which in turn allows for better response time and planning for strategic movements and attacks. Patience also gives the wielder increased insight, giving them a great understanding of things and people around them, such as the workings of a jutsu, the way someone fights, or the general personality of the person themselves. Finally, Patience increases all of the user's senses, giving them keen sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch; on top of this, it also gives them a 'sixth sense', allowing them to sense the presence of a person or thing around them within 25 feet, giving them an accurate idea of where their opponent is at all times, as long as that opponent is within the range. These effects only come into play when the wielder is in contact with Patience.
History: The sheath has been handed down from generation to generation throughout all of Delilah's ancestry, since about 200 years ago, when one of her ancestors was gifted with the powerful item for being part of the great Xanadu clan. When her ancestor received the sheathe, along with it's mated weapon, a sword named 'sloth', he swore to keep them within the family. Passing it down only to the first born child of every generation, the sword was kept strictly within the Button family. This sheathe, since then, has traded hands over 8 times, and has finally been passed into the hands of Delilah. Her job is now to protect the artifacts and use them to become a great ninja for who so ever she chooses to ally herself with, protecting those close to her and banishing all threats to her or her family, until she can pass it on to the next member of the family. These are the ideals that the sheathe was forged with, along with the virtue of patience and the will to maintain one's calm attitude in a battle, knowing that this often was the deciding factor in a battle.
- Sloth:
Name: Sloth Appearance:- Sloth:
Type: Sword Rank: S Quantity: 1 Description: This is a long katana-esque sword which retains a black-and-brazen color scheme. Along the back of the blade are several spines, which twist in a tribal manner and give it a bit of a saw-tooth effect on the back of the sword. On the hand guard is an eye that is normally half-opened (when the sword is sheathed), giving it a tired, lazy look. The eye opens sharply and becomes bloodshot however, when the sword is activated. The handle is black with brazen stripes along the length of it. Abilities: Sloth is a lazy sword. It takes a long time for it to get ready to do anything at all, really, making it a fairly impractical weapon on it's own. It pulls in energy through it's half-opened eye (from the general area, not the user), at a rate of about 5 chakra points per post. When the sword is drawn, it's first slash will unleash all of the points stored up (up to 50 at a time) in one massive chakra-based slash. The slash is equivalent to a technique of a certain rank, based on the level of chakra that is released from Sloth's stores. It is as follows; 10 Points = D rank 20 Points = C rank 30 Points = B rank 40 Points = A rank 50 Points = S rank At a 5-point build up, the slash actually cuts things, but at any less nothing happens. The sword itself is too dull to cut with. At a 10-point build up, it's blade is extended by 1 foot and can cut through anything up to wood in durability and leaving minor wounds on people. At a 20-point build up, it is extended 5 feet in length, and can cut through up to stone in durability, and is able to cut through muscle, leaving moderate wounds. At a 30-point build up, either the blade can extend by 10 feet, or it can fire a shock wave up to 15 feet away in any one direction; in either case, it can cut through up to un-reinforced iron, and leaves significant wounds. At a 40-point build up the blade can extend up to 15 feet in length, fire a shock wave up to 50 feet away, or create a cutting whirlwind around the wielder that creates a circle with a 25-foot radius and cuts everything within it except the wielder and anyone who avoids it via jumping or ducking; no matter what though, this can cut through up to steel in durability, and leaves major wounds. At a 50-point build up, the sword releases a massive shockwave of energy, due to how much energy is pent up inside of it; it can no longer maintain a specific form. The initial shockwave simply pushes opponents away from the user for 25 feet, knocking them off their feet unless they successfully roll with it, and then a large blade-like blast emerges from the original shockwave. This blast can cut through anything, bar S-ranked barriers, and fires outward in one direction for 400-feet, the wave itself is a line that is about 5 feet in width and 80 feet in height. It leaves behind critical to fatal wounds. The sword WILL unleash the maximum amount of energy regardless of the user's will. Therefore, it is to be used very cautiously. The charges DO transfer from thread to thread, however it will only maintain a charge of 300 chakra points, maximum. After that point, it builds up no more charges. It's charges only build up when sheathed. History: Sloth is an extremely dangerous and even more so lazy sword passed down through the generations of Delilah's family, finally winding up in her hands with it's perfect mate; Patience. The sword was forged long ago, even longer than the sheathe called 'patience'. The sheathe was actually made to reign in sloth and make it a more powerful weapon because of it. At first, the sword was created to be an unstoppable force that would generate it's own power so that the ninja wielding it could keep fighting for a much longer time before running out of chakra and stamina. It was given to Delilah's ancestor along with the sheathe 'patience', which is when he decided the weapons had to be used for good rather than just raw power and evil as sloth was originally intended. With the weapons together, he fought long and hard until he finally had a son, starting the family line that would eventually lead to Delilah receiving the sword and sheathe. With the weapons that have been in her family for generations, and been in the world for even longer, she now must use them for the good intentions that her ancestor intended, and the goals her family has been working towards for the longest time.
