The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Shin masutomi quietly walked down an old street near the outskirts of the village, collecting his thoughts. He had his hands behind his head, idly scratching his head, and his attention was not on the road ahead of him, at least not the physical one. He had just graduated to a full genin, he currently had his head band tied to his tiger skin sarong. Thing. Heck, even he didn't really know what to call it. Nor did he care.
Shin shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He would be meeting his new sensei tomorrow! He should be focusing more on what would happen on the dawn, not trying to figure out what to call his tiger skin wrap. He shook his head again then resumed his walk, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he went. He couldn't help but wonder who would be his new instructor. He didn't know of any jounin who weren't already occupied. Perhaps there was a new one in town? He couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of some poor, newly appointed jounin with a bunch of troublesome genin.

Hm... This ramen tastes weird.. I don't think this is beef.
Rumi sat on a lone bench, his eyes focused on his half empty bowl of steaming soup. He had just began an intense day of training, and a day of trying to get the Ichibi to speak. Of course, though, that will probably fail miserably, because the Bijû acts like a little shit and won't responding to anything Rumi tries to say.
The Chûnin wore no shirt, per the norm, along with a pair of baggy, loose shorts, and a pair of simple sandals. Rumi wasn't one for many clothes, or armor or anything that served as a cover of his body. He was almost a bit vain when it came to his physical looks, because he wasn't a bad looking fella. Of course, though, not everyone was attractive all the time, and this wasn't excluding Rumi at all. At this time, Rumi was not at his prime. His prime was a long time away, sometime in the afternoon, not extremely early in the morning.
Rumis ears perked at the sound of footsteps far off in the distance, but he paid no mind to them, thinking closer to the fact that the person that was heading his way was probably a friend instead of a foe. He closed his eyes, his eating utensil still grabbing at the Ramen. It seemed that he didn't realize what meat was in it, until it was too late to return it.

Shin spotted the other ninja as he kept walking and couldn't help but smirk a bit. Apparently he wasn't the only one coming out here to think. The ninja looked incredibly distracted, it looked like he was just picking at the bowl of.....something, in front of him. For some reason, Shin took comfort in this. It was surprisingly reassuring to see he was not the only one to struggle with personal issues and seek solitude to sort them out.
Solitude is exactly what he would give Rumi to. The other guy seemed incredibly distracted, and Shin had never been much of a conversationlist really. He nodded to the unknown ninja as he moved to walk by, unless Rumi said something to stop him.

Rumi stayed silent, and his eyes slowly opened, staring at Shin, and his head turned to the Genins direction. He looked fairly simple. The teen probably graduated fairly recently, Rumi figured, though he honestly had no idea, nor did he want to know this kid enough to care. Rumi wasn't one for socializing, though he was fairly kind to strangers if given the chance.
Rumi took another bite out of his ramen, eating it quietly, the meat tenderizing between his teeth as he chewed it thoroughly and quickly. His jaw popped continuously as he chewed, making it seem as if he was crunching something, when in actuality, the ramen was silky smooth and his jaw was just strange.
As Rumis head turned to the walking boy, he nodded a quickly 'hello' to him, that being the only message Rumi wanted the boy to perceive out of the notion of realizing his existence. Whether the boy would take it as a gesture of friendship or an approval to talk or anything other than a simple kind nod was beyond Rumis power. Other peoples thoughts were, unfortunately, not his to control.
