The night was silent and desolate in it’s magnificence as the half moon looked down on the land where six paths were split with ‘God’s’ power in twined. This story begins on the soil of the village hidden within the moon’s pleasant glow as those who lost confidence in themselves now bound themselves in chains.

Within the veil of night, a shadow moved through the trees of the dark forest and a soft thud was then heard on the forest floor that was covered in fallen and dead leaves. “So you want more do you?” the shadowy figure inquired as his face and entire body was hidden within the darkness that was provided by the trees above him. A young Jounin with fiery red hair and tired, black eyes stumbles out of his hiding area in the bushes before falling over and landing on his face. “Fufufuhahah… I’ll take that as a yes.” The shadowy miscreant teased as he holds out his left arm and presents a small medical box with something ominous inside.

The weak Jounin manage to stand and smiled at the box but as he reached for it with his right hand, the box denigrated into dust as it simply a replica of the real thing. “Do you have the cash?” The shadowy miscreant asked with authority ringing through his voice. The Jounin frowned and finally gathered up enough physical energy to speak. “Yeah…. G- G- Give me a sec...”  He stuttered as he reaches into his medical pack. Meanwhile, not far from the area where an iffy transaction was taking place, a young boy walked through the dark forest with his vermilion eyes piercing through the darkness as they seem to glow from the moonlight that shined down on them. Shin sighed happily as he leaps up onto a tree branch and sits down on top of it as he looks up at the moon. Even when it’s not full, Shin admired its beauty as he stared up at it with awe.
 
This certainly was the best spot in Tsukigakure to bask in the moon’s glory. Not just because of the view but because everybody was always too scared to come here. Those losers are such cowards; there is nothing here but trees, animals and more trees. “ARGARAAAAH!!” A cry of pain was heard in the distance and Shin turned his head to the left with shock replacing the once peaceful expression on his face. “What in the…?” He thought as slips off the tree branch and lands on his feet. There are people here? At this hour?  Why? This certainly was a development since it is usually silent around these parts and since this particular part of the forest was so close to the actual village then no one would be dumb enough to cause trouble around here or they will be captured by the Jounin that patrol this area. Shin looked around the forest once again to see if he could spot anyone around him but no one was there.
 
“Hmph… I guess it won’t hurt to check it out…..” He mused to himself as he turns around as a feeling of excitement enters his heart and it starts to beat.  “…But first, I should go ahead and find someone who can be of use to me.” He added as he turns south towards the direction of the village and ran took off. When he finally returnedthe village, he stood at the entrance and waited for someone to notice him. Usually when Shin enters the village at this time, some Jounin pops up and scolds him as well as ask the usual questions. ‘What are you doing here?’,  ‘Do you know what time it is?’ The same old bull crap. So hopefully a Jounin would show up now that Shin needs one the most.

The night this night was truly something to marvel at. The sky especially. It was almost like the stars were reaching out to the world, for all living things to know that they were way up high and still shining brightly among the darkness which surrounded them with a rather tight grip. The moon reached out the most, as always. She seemed to be weeping this night as her glow was solemn and the way she seemed to sing was somewhat saddening.

Eden, on this one such night, was out and about in the town. After a few quiet hours, the village began to get quieter and quieter, until only he remained. At that point in time, he was at the main gate's entrance, leaning his back against the outer right-hand side of the opening and looking up at the sky. The moon sung such a sad song to him that he couldn't help but wonder why. Perhaps it was a sign for future events that could possibly unfold before his own eyes? He didn't know. Well of course he didn't know, since he wasn't a psychic.

Though he did not know why, he thought of the food he had eaten on his dinner break. Perhaps to get his mind away from stressful thoughts? He had gone simple that night and went out for ramen at a local sit-in ramen shop in the market area of the village. On this night, because there were many he had ramen from this same shop, he had his usual which was a good old fashioned bowl of pork miso ramen. He had eaten three full bowls which had him feeling just right and got his mind relaxed; pulled away from unnecessary, stressful thoughts. Eden continued to lean his back against the same place, watching the sky. In the distance, he heard the sound of footsteps but left it alone. If such a person wanted to see him, then they will have gone up to him. Ah...too wonderful a night to be true.

Two minutes and there is no Jounin in sight. Typical. Shin should have known that no one would show when they are needed which means that he was going to have to out of his way to find one and probably by the time he does find a Jounin  then whoever was in trouble would have been dead and buried. “Lady luck… You are my mistress...” Shin thought as his eyes looked over towards the tall man leaning his back against the outer right hand side of the main gate with a mask covering most of his face and long Velcro black hair going down his back as he too was looking up at the moon just like Shin was within the dark forest. If he was in the village at this time then he probably was not part of the patrol squad since he was just standing there without (what Shin assumed) a care in the word.  Well enough time has been wasted on waiting on a Jounin and since he has not noticed Shin or probably did and decided not to care then Shin decided to walk to him.

Shin approached the Jounin and decided to temporarily swallow his pride in order to speak with him. “Sensei.” He said in a soft spoken tone of voice but since Shin was right next to the man then he should not have a problem hearing him. “My apologies for pestering you at this hour but while I was in the dark forest, I heard this someone scream. I came to ask for you’re assit- I mean, to report this to you so you could probably check it out… or something.” Shin hesitantly explained. It was painful for Shin to listen to himself to speak. He was not nervous yet he found it difficult to find more appropriate words to use so he didn't sound like.... What did his class mates call him? An ‘ass clown’? “Memories…” Shin thought with a sigh.
 

Back in the forest, the once severely weakened Jounin seemed to not only be on his feet but was hyped up with chakra flowing through his veins like fire. “*pant* *pant* *pant*… This power…It’s incredible as usual.” The Jounin said as the shadowy miscreant puts his hands behind his back. “I’m glad you like it Valentine.” He said as the Jounin turned his attention back to the shadowy figure as he wondered how the Shinobi knew his name but unfortunately, he vanished without a word. The Jounin simply shrugged and performs a Ram hand sign as smoke erupts from his feet and covers his body as he too vanishes from the spot. With the patrol duties over and done with, Valentine reappeared in front of the main gate and sighed with a guilty look on his face. He noticed Eden and another Genin speaking over to his far right. "Hey! It's you again!" He called out as he walks over towards the two. "What did I tell you about staying up this late kid?" Valentine growled as he looks up at Eden. "Is he you're pupil Eden?" He inquired with an angry tone in his voice. Shin looked back at Valentine and squints his eyes.
