The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Description: The Ketsuekigasu (Literally meaning "Blood Agent") is a massive broadsword shaped in such a way that looks deadly even before use and is the size of a person in height. The blade itself has four bolts, the largest just above the handle, then one at the halfway mark, a slightly smaller one not to far from that and lastly, one a few inches from the tip. The latter notch allows a strap to be wrapped around the weapon, making it easier for the user to carry. However, despite being well-trained, anyone not proficient in either the Ketsueki clan's Ketsuekijunkan or Water Release would find using or even picking up the Ketsuekigasu difficult as its core is hollowed, the metal used has been reenforced so that even the strongest of strikes can be held at bay without rupture.
Abilities:
The Ketsuekigasu is unbearably heavy to the normal wielder and aside from its size, would prove better as a prop or weight than an actual sword. The key to this lay within the sword or more correctly, what doesn't. The sword is riddled with veins. These veins are all over Ketsuekigasu, leading to a small storage at its base. These veins help circulate blood throughout the sword, both to absorb and release. Water Release wielders can use water instead of blood to help maneuver the blade but its original design was created with the use of the Ketsueki in mind and so, the thickness of blood makes water flow to fast and thus needs to be fed water constantly if it is used.
The blade is meant to be wielded by a Ketsueki clansmen and to that end, employs its greatest talent. The Ketsuekigasu is able to take blood from its wielder and its foes and use it to the wielder's wishes. It does this by taking in the blood from its wielder and keeping it inside, when the sword draws blood from an enemy, it does not linger on its blade but instead, it is pulled inside, where the sword forcefully converts the enemy blood into that of the wielder's own and allows the wielder with more blood to preform jutsu that would require more blood.
The other, and lesser known fighting style is to channel your water chakra into the sword and to perform suiton jutsus through the weapon. By using this method, the wilder turns their suiton jutsus one rank stronger. This effect is only useable with offensive jutsu and the jutsu's channeled through Ketsuekigasu require a one post charging time in addition to normal jutsu cast time.
The sword itself is not indestructible and can be damaged like any other blade. It has two factors that hinders its demise. One, being its overall defensive capabilities of its metal, making it just as strong as a shield than a sword. The other being its blood veins as they allow the sword to move the iron in the blood to areas where the sword may be damaged and help in self-repair. The only downside to this is that the process is not automatic and the wielder must be active in the process, focusing on the sword to repair that areas that are damaged, meaning that using this during the midst of a constant battle would be unwise.
History: The Ketsuekigasu is a ancient blade that has been passed down through the Ketsueki clan. The sword was first created during the second Fukukikage's reign when the Ketsueki came into full bloom and their powers prospered. The Ketsuekigasu was crafted by the finest blacksmiths and when completed, was unworldly and impossible to wield by even the strongest of hands and was thus, placed within the Shichiyou Palace on display of fine craftsmanship.
It wasn't till the second Fukukikage, Shichiyou Senzou, brother died in battle that the sword was looked at for a more offensive purpose. At first, Water Release techniques were used around the blade itself to help with its weight and maneuverability but this drastically reduced its power and would drain the user quickly with the constant use of the jutsu. This made the sword worse than it was before as its power and strength were handicapped by the wielder. It wasn't until a member of the Ketsueki used their kekkei genkai, the Ketsuekijunkan and found that the blood could circulate into the blade and found small veins covering the blade. With the use of the Ketsuekijunkan, the Ketsueki made numerous new veins with the guidance of a skilled blacksmith which eventually lead to the finding of a empty 'core' within the massive blade.
The Ketsueki used their kekkei genkai to let blood flow into the blood and after cycling the wielder's blood through the blade for several days and nights. The sword was then used by a Ketsueki during the fight with the Kazan forces and eventually was won. During which the blade showed itself to have hidden abilities that, slowly but surely were evaluated on after the war had ended. The blade given to the leader of the Ketsueki at the time but soon it was decided that the Ketsuekigasu was more useful to a warrior on the battlefield and not at the side of a leader. During the term of the head of the Ketsueki, Unshō Ketsueki, Hyougakure began the practice of pitting Ketsueki graduates against each other in death matches as a final exam with the exceptionally skilled students named prime candidates for the chance to wield the Ketsuekigasu.
