Personality: Miko is a very quirky girl, she doesn’t take anything seriously, and the phrase ‘this is a life or death situation’ is a joke to her. Her interests vary from day to day, but they are always pushed to the limits of absurdity. According to her she is a savant. Of course, having so many choices is what drives her to do the things she does, which is part of the reason she became a ninja in the first place. She has a peculiar love for words, incantations, spells, anything that is spoken, which leads her to be somewhat of a motor mouth, a windbag, a blabbermouth and a chatterbox, it matches the way her brain works pretty well, her mind is always tracking different scenarios, thinking of new schemes, but is still a tad bit of a flake. Miko doesn't mind this teasing, or any at all, she has a very thick skin against bullies, and isn't known to be a seeker of revenge, at least not on the battle field. She is often regarded as that crazy lady, and one day she hopes to fulfill the role of the old cat lady completely.
She has a begun a revolution against leadership in which she is the only member. She doesn't take commands well that don't begin with 'please'. The need to defy leaders comes second nature to her, and at times can be a trouble to anybody in a position of leadership. She is resistant to all forms of leadership, and will only obey a command from herself. She has a lot of spirit in her, and isn’t one for giving up. Of course, with her determination, she has an interesting way of using it, she is relentless, anyway she can she will accomplish her mission, objective, or whatever it is. Speaking of missions, Miko’s protocol is completely her own. She will pick and choose what mission she wants to choose and what the true objective is. She likes to overcomplicate the simplest tasks just to add a little spice to the experience, or else she won’t be able to stand it.
She is slightly paranoid, but that is a common trait of tacticians like her. She will always be thinking of the battle as if she were the opponent. Though at the same time, she would rather toy with her opponent in a cat and mouse game than end it all in one brilliantly imagined attack. Miko is a curious girl, which coincides with her love of books and learning in general.
Likes: Miko has an enormous love for culture; she enjoys plays, books, and music. There are very few things she doesn’t like, and she has a tendency to try and experience as much as she can of the world. Being a free spirit, she has many hobbies that she has picked up and dropped, that range over a variety of subjects, even if she doesn’t have a talent for whatever she is doing. As can be expected of any ninja, Miko loves fighting, but she has her own unorthodox way of fighting that leaves people stupefied or annoyed.
Dislikes: Miko hates ignorance, and isn’t a fan of ignorant people either. With the few things in the world she can’t accept, like leadership, she hats having it, having to abide by it, and seeing what it does to people. She disdains people that are overbearing and nitpick at the tiniest of details, annoying rules that have no reason for existence make her skin crawl. Anything that squashes creativity and the free will of man and woman.
Motivation: Miko’s motivation in life and for becoming a ninja is to be recognized. To be remembered in a fantastic way bigger than being the maid to some daimyo. She’ll do almost anything to get noticed in a positive way, and tries her best to stand out from the dimensionless crowd.
Fears: She has very little fears, as her courage and pluckiness can normally vanquish any darkness. She is so strange in the way that she goes about being afraid because it’s not enough just to know that something is scary for her. She ventures to learn all about the phenomenon, until she has eliminated all mystery of the ‘thing’.

History: ChildhoodMiko was born the daughter of a prostitute and a son of a daimyo of some generic province. The consequences of her birth led to the terror of her life. As can be expected, a relationship between a whore and a prince would never last, and could never become public. Miko’s mother knew this, and the smart woman she was profited from an arrangement with the future king. Miko’s true lineage would be kept a secret as long as Miko’s mother was paid off to live happily for the rest of her life and that she would find a life outside of the province. But then begs the question, why didn’t they just kill her? A murder scandal on top of the prince’s already sketchy playboy life style would make him unfavorable in the eyes of the people, and thus Miko’s mother was sent on her way. Who was to say that the moment Miko was out of the territory she would be killed? She had to find a safe haven for and her still unborn daughter. The closest lighthouse of safety just happened to be the Heat Country.
Her mother tried to give her the most normal childhood possible, a lot of effort was put into ensuring Miko led a life better than her mothers, that she always knew that someone loved her. She inherited her mother’s wild spirit and her father’s cockiness.
AcademyThe life of a ninja intrigued Miko, she had heard bed time stories, read novels and even seen a few ninjas in real life. She seemed to be drawn towards the subject, being the determined lass she is, she wouldn’t allow her mother to say no. Adamantly she began training at the age of a eleven, her mother expecting it to be just a phase she would grow out of like all the others. This just happened to be the one thing she was passionate enough about to continue on. It wasn’t until she hit the ripe age of thirteen did she graduate a late bloomer. She wasn’t necessarily the most adept ninja, but she was far from the worst. She was by far the most studious and most motivated though, even though it took a little more effort to pass classes than the normal nin.
GeninBy the time Miko had become fourteen she was a genin of Boufuugakure, training in the art of illusion.
RP Sample: Miko’s soft footfalls barely disturbed the dust on the ground, her graceful strides, one foot in front of the other, as if she were walking along a tight rope. Her stylus withdrew from its casing with the soft screech of a crane. The sharpened weapon refracted silvery beams of moonlight off of its sleek surface. The urge to speak out about the terrors this simple weapon could cause was overwhelming; she almost bit her tongue off trying to stop the tsunami of information from pouring from her lips. She stopped suddenly, her once careful gait abruptly halted, before she quickly brought forth her weapon, it dangled in one palm with an almost lazy abandon. It wasn’t the hardened stance of a samurai, or one of any master of weapons, it almost looked innocent and nonthreatening.
Her curtain of darkish purple hair folded around her. She really wanted to show off her dramatic side, give her enemy a show before vanquishing him forever. Miko had all the confidence in the world that she could accomplish this, why not make it even more fun for her? Ah, but ninjas were ninjas, not some boastful soldiers on the battlefield cataloguing their day to day triumphs with trophies taken from the corpses of their enemies, but what a glorious life that would be, except for the part when your own corpse was looted for fame and glory. Aside from that, it would be magnificent. Enough thinking, it was time for action in the beautiful ballet of battle.
In the dim midnight light, a bright blue bulb began to form at the base of Miko’s weapon (if you could call it that). With a smooth gesture she began what looked like writing on the air, and wherever the tip of her stylus fell, a line was formed, the afterimage of the alluring blue light that hung in the air, transfixed by Miko’s abilities. The blocky kanji that was manifested by Miko began to bob up and down. It drifted lazily towards Miko’s target, before it kissed the fabric of the dummie and stuck there. The pasted lettering’s light began to intensify until it gleamed like the sun. A stranger looking in could clearly see what the kanji stood for. ‘Baku’ or Explode.
The light fizzled out before the true beauty of a brilliant nighttime explosion could be seen. Crushing disappointment as Miko deflated.
