Sigh. Another day of work in the tough life of a ninja. What was he going to do today? Risk his life in some sort of amazing and difficult mission to a far away land? Escort a beautiful maiden to her homeland, defending her from enemy and pervert assaults? Maybe fight a mighty dragon in order to secure his treasure? No, no, and nope. He was one of the lucky ones, taking the most prestigious mission there was. The mythical and legendary D-Class mission, Hand ads to people! Yes... giving out ads. That was considered a mission suitable for ninja. How? No clue, but it was, so deal with it. It wasn't like Saizo wanted to take jobs like this, but he needed the money and "experience" awarded by the mediocre quests that the village offered. As soon as possible, Saizo would make a breakthrough and finally be able to do the jobs of a real ninja. Someday it was bound to happen. If only sooner rather then later.
"Here are the flyers" said the merchant lady. She seemed rather unenthusiastic, almost as if she hadn't slept recently. She was kind of out of it. So was Saizo, though. Its not like he would need much energy for this job though. "Give em to whoever wants em, I guess." she said with a lazy look. "Yes, ma'am." he said in response as he toke the flyers and begun a long walk through out the village. Hmm. Maybe he could trick some dumb villager to do his work for him. Nah. They would probably screw it up anyways. At least the weather was nice, he would tell himself in his head, trying to make this seem like less of a chore then it actually was. He couldn't fool himself though. He wasn't going to enjoy this one anytime soon. He toke a glance of the flyers he was suppose to be passing out. Seemed like some silly wrestling match. Wasn't something he would have been particularly interested in seeing. To all their own, he supposed.
After a quick walk to the busier side of the little old village of his, he begun trying to promote the fight. "A clash of giants!", he said. "Come see a fight of epic proportions." he yelled into the crowd, trying to sell it with a few cheesy phrases. Honestly, he didn't even convince himself. Luckily, people didn't pay attention to what he said and were grabbing them as they walked by. He felt good, able to give out flyers so easily. The faster the better. Thats what he told himself. Well, until he saw people start throwing them on the ground or wiping their hands of with them. He was...unhappy to say the least. He kept his cool though. They were't his flyers after all.
"What a complete waste of time!" some snotty "High class" women began to say. "Such uncivilized and mediocre performances." She was the kind of annoying and arrogant women that most people found quite irritable to be around. "Im sorry ma'am, but could you please leave." he said, trying to restrain himself. "Uh, how dare you! This is a public area! You don't have the ri-" she plopped to the ground before she could finish. Saizo had knocked her out. Being a ninja, he was skilled enough to knock her out painlessly. Not saying thats what he did exactly, but she was unconscious and not many people, if any, noticed.
His work continued rather uninterrupted. He had moved the women somewhere where safe. Well, safe enough. He didn't much care for her type. Especially if they interrupted his work. He wouldn't have any of that. After all the flyers left his hands. He went to go find the women. It was almost the end of the day. Market had quieted down a lot. Wouldn't find many more takers at this time, so she let him go. He did the job after all, so no reason not to let him go. She seemed pleased enough. Another job well done in his mind.
