The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Back a long time ago, when the young kage was even younger. He had many adventures, met many people, and fought many foes. In a ninja world, this wasn't uncommon. Many ninja faced these sorts of life or death moments before they even reached the age of 16. The life of a ninja was a dangerous one. Wars use to plague the lands of the past, but eventually times of peace sprouted. Peace never lasted forever, though. Human nature is a very vile thing, easily corrupted. Whether it be a promise of money, power, or love, man would turn on their fellow man in a mere instant. However, this was not always the case. There were people who truly were benevolent and kind. Those who were able to suppress their mind natural desires. Man came in many different colours. There was someone for every end of the spectrum. What colour was Saizo? A good question, indeed. Its was not unusual for someone to be blind to their own colour while at a young age. To not know themselves quite yet, and what they were suppose to do in this world. Saizo had yet to figure out who he really was. Was he a hero? Was he a villain? Maybe he was something in between, or maybe neither. All he knew was this cycle of peace and war was ugly. Someone needed to change it, whether it be him or someone else. A long time ago, when Saizo was still just a genin and part of a team, just like any other benin, he was not preoccupied with these kinds of things quite yet. No, he was far more preoccupied with getting stronger and showing that the Hozuki clan isn't just a burden to the village. He wanted to show how he wasn't just another pirate just waiting in the village for his chance. He knew this was what they were thinking about him. Their looks told him everything he needed to know. He wasn't proud of his heritage or kekkei genkai. He wasn't normal. He had yet to embrace it, but even he knew of the almost limitless utility and defense his powers gave him. To turn into water at a moment's notice, sometimes even faster then a person can think. He didn't want to rely on it, though. Instead, he relied on his other skills. One of these being his ability to use Wind nature chakra. Though he was much better with water release, much better than the average genin would be, he found it was to similar to his hydrification technique. For this very reason he disliked using it in combat or for anything else, really. This is what made him start working on his other chakra nature. He didn't have the same raw talent with wind as he did with water, so kneading the chakra into his actions was troublesome at first. He didn't know how to approach it. With water, it was more about blunt force and pressure. Wind was a much more sharper and quick like feeling. He practiced continuously in the training fields of the village. He usually did it by himself, in between missions and other chores. It toke him nearly a week just to be able to summon up a tiny gust of win, barely able to move a simple leaf of the ground. He felt quite pathetic about it. It wasn't till his sensei found him training that he finally started making progress. It turned out that he was going about it all wrong. He was still on the mindset of water jutsu instead of wind. He was trying to make blunt pressure. This wasn't going to work so well when learning about wind nature. Starting out with simple training, he eventually got hold of simple wind jutsu, like simply expelling it out from his mouth. It was an easier jutsu for him, as water release shared similar principles to it. He still wasn't spectacular, as it took a lot of effort to do it. By that point, he had already ended up relying on water jutsu, but this didn't mean he was just going to forget about the use of wind. He continued training in both areas, advancing more in water than wind, but he was not bad with wind jutsu. His wind jutsu was able to compete with even jounin. He would also learn to combine his jutsu of water and wind one day, increasing his lethality even more. He had never considered his training in wind to be a waste of time. [763/750]

Water jutsu was always something those of the Hozuki clan excelled at. It was necessary for them to learn water jutsu. Turning into water without the ability to use the water would be completely outrageous. It was in their blood to learn how to use water, the feeling of water chakra and the such. Saizo had obviously learnt many water jutsu over time. It was his strongest nature after all. It would have been a waste not to. At one time, he had refused to do so, but eventually he had realized the error of his ways. He was had been limiting his ability and talent as a ninja. He was handicapping himself and preventing himself from getting stronger. His childish actions were, well, childish. To not accept ones own blood, to reject his family and own natural abilities. It was as if he was cutting of his own hands. He realized this and couldn't continue on that road. He knew he had to use water jutsu again and his kekkei genkai. It was in his blood. It was what he was meant to do, and so he gave in to his calling and returned to the use of water jutsu. Over the years he had learned many water jutsu, some stronger then others, some with more uses then others. Sure, he liked some more then others, but one couldn't deny his natural talent for all of them, and his ability to control the water as if it was his own body. Sometimes it actually was his own body. Made him wonder. What if he could turn more then just his own body into water. What if he could turn walls and floors into water. What if he was able to turn other people and their weapons into water. Even more, what if he could turn water into a physical form. Not like ice, but to turn it into steel, flesh, even an actual living thing. Maybe he was looking far too deep into this, but even if he was able to replicate the appearance of another person, not through the use of the transformation technique, but literally copying the look of their flesh and blood. What would the limits of the Hydrification technique. Sure, Saizo would have liked to experiment with it, but at the same time. It was far too risky to do something like that. What if he couldn't change back. What if he ended up hurting himself or even worse, hurting someone else. There were other experiments to try first though. Water justu were very versatile. Had many uses beyond the powers he had attained with the his clans personal power. Maybe he didn't even need to use it to do some of these things. That was his thinking, anyways. Making his own jutsu was something he had always wanted to do. As a genin, he had neither the skill or the time to do so. As a chunin however, he had learned the principles of making jutsu. He was able to mold chakra and use it with relative ease. He was lucky. He learned chakra control very easily. It was probably one of his stronger traits as a ninja. This chakra control had allowed him to learn techniques of power far greater then those of his genin years. His proficiency with the sealing techniques had started blooming at this time. Sealing techniques were jutsu that even some of the most skilled shinobi had troubles with. They were similar to the forth class. Able to rival the big three ninja skills of Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu. Some even surpassed the utility and strength or even improved the effects of theses skills. Seals were amazing. This however, didn't mean he had decided to no longer rely on ninjutsu. No, ninjutsu was one of the main staples of ninja skills after all. If he were to never use ninjutsu it would be like never sleeping. As I continued to type I got really lazy, and as such, I eventually started talking about myself, this eventually got really bothersome and I got even more lazy about that, so I went to go get some yogurt and then went back to writing some more bull crap to take up all the space I needed and all the words necessary for this damned jutsu. It was actually a lot of work to type this. Thinking about this stuff gets me kinda bored after all. At least Im getting it done, though, right? Eventually Ill finish the rest and probably return to my character. Eh, depends how I feel later.
I felt good to day so I decided to continue on with the training and all that stuff. Saizo was a chunin around this time, nearing a promotion to jounin soon. This was already past the days of learning his basic seals. He was already considered a sealing prodigy at this point. It was a rather strange skill for someone hailing from the Hozuki clan, but Saizo never complained. He enjoyed the sealing arts. The many different uses were outstanding and they just had an elegant look and feel to them. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. They just spoke to him in a way that most other techniques didn't. He was also lucky enough to get the teacher he did. He used his new skills well when moving up the ranks. He wasn't world famous for his skill quite Yet, but he was getting there. This is a different story however. This is when he learnedly the Water Mirror jutsu. He was, by no means, the creator of this technique. No, this technique was created much earlier in Saizo's lifespan. He had come across it on accident, having actually been searching for a certain seal. Instead he stumbled on ninjutsu. Normallly he would have tossed it aside and continued looking for the correct document, but this jutsu caught his eye. A water jutsu, but it was much more then just that. It looked like it had a lot more uses. Water jutsu were known for their versatility, but this one was interesting. Creating exact clones of someone. It seemed a lot more psychological. It also served as a counter to any physical attack. Now, Saizo already had the ultimate defense in his mind, but he loved not relying on his hydrification technique till the end. He liked it better as an ace up his sleeve rather then in his hand. It held far more stratification value when kept a secret. This is why he wanted to learn this mirror jutsu. The scroll wasn't the most specific, but Saizo was able to fill in the blanks rather easily as he was use to reading these kinds of things. It had been the same way when he learned the Rasengan. It was very easily the strongest jutsu he had in his disposal at the time. It was considered far above chunin level when it came to jutsu difficulty and chakra control needed. It was almost a miracle that he was able to learn the technique, let alone master it. Saizo toke the scroll out to the usual place. A nice little field out of the village. It had tall grass and some flowers. Not a very bumpy area. It almost reminded him of one of those areas where two samurai would duke it out in one quick slash. Samurai were so cool. Almost as cool as ninja. The not yet but soon to be jounin made his way with the scroll and a little water bottle to a nice little spot and prepared himself for the work. He said work because this was an A rank.justsu. He was still a chunin, so this would be above the usual jutsu he used. Kind of made it all the more exciting. Pushing the limits to see what he could achieve. It also felt kind of like a bother. Always working to get better. Guess that is the life of a ninjas. It was the easiest way to make sure you wouldn't die. It was especially troubling when every ninjas developed their own unique skills. Not only did one have to analyze the skill but then find a ln appropriate way to deal with it and then one needed a counter and way too many things to do. If only it was simpler. Maybe if they didn't need to fight. That was probably the simplest solution. If they had no reason to fight then why would they? Of course, then that leaves the crazy people who give themselves a reason even when there isn't one. That's why police forces existed. Then the police would have to fight with them, though. To stop the fighting seemed like an impossible task. It was times like these that he wished he was an Uchiha. They were always looked up to in Shippuu and for good reason. They were blessed with strength. Saizo was particularly interested in Izanagi. Just the concept of it was perfect. If only the cost wasn't as severe. He didn't know all the details, but he knew that it was able to forcefully change a persons mind, or trap them forever. It would have been interesting. Today he is a Hozuki, though. Water was his thing. Speaking about water, he had just commenced his training. He sat on top of a boulder he had shaped on a previous visit. He made it perfect for meditation. It also helped him open up his chakra points. Small dew drops started forming around Saizo and the grass around him. This was his chakra taking physical form. He was able to create massive amounts of water through chakra alone. Probably ran in the family. It would be no surprise to those who knew his heritage. If anything, it was to be expected from him. It wasn't impossible for him to hydrate himself like this. It wasn't his favorite use of his chakra though. Kind of felt nasty to him. Water that he made with his chakra entering his body. It wasn't that the water was bad or anything. It was just that weird feeling. It could have been a lot worse though. Could have been water from a latrine or pool water. The former being a lot worse then the later, but Saizo wasn't a big fan of chlorine. It felt especially weird when actually inside him. Gave off a sort of burning and almost flakey feeling inside him. He hated it so much. It was probably the only reason why he would never swim in a manmade pool. As the water started to surround him his eyes opened and gazed upon the scroll that he had set on his lap in preparation. The technique seemed rather simple. The only problem was the creation of the mirror. It obviously wasn't like creating any old regular water object. It had to have the ability to reflect, correct? That would need very pure and clear water. To get rid of all its impurities he would need to concentrate a bit. He did wonder who decided to make this jutsu, was his reason for combat, to protect himself, maybe he made it in order to pull of plays where the created water being and the user would copy each other in some sort of comedic routine for the children. It had so many uses, making clones usually did. This wasn't a normal clone jutsu though. There would probably be other applications that he would have to find out by himself and without the use of the scroll. After thoroughly reading the scroll he sat up and then began to mold his chakra to one central point. The water started rising from the ground to that point, forming the shape of the mirror as it came up. He could see his own reflection starting to form, a good sign. Once the mirror finished forming, he could see himself clear as day on the unreal reflection of the water. Instead of rotating and trying to copy something else, a water clone like thing started to come out of the mirror. It looked exactly like him. It was kind of amazing. He had wished to try it out on something or someone else, but no one else was around but this was enough proof for him to see that the jutsu worked. 2069/2000

A long time ago, Saizo witnessed a display of elegance and grace in quite an amazing fighting style. It was quite elegant actually. He believed they called it the gentle fist. A very interesting use of ones chakra and taijutsu, able to literally rip the ability to use ninjutsu from the victim of its onslaught. Saizo was in no way able to replicate it at all. He was quite a lost cause when it came to ninjutsu. Quite a flop at it actually. He did have hand to hand combat experience, just like every ninja. It was part of the basic training after all, but he just wasn't as spectacular as some ninja tended to be when they learned the skills and built up their bodies for it. Maybe he was just clumsy or lacked dexterity when it came to his own body. He knew it wasn't a matter of reflexes as his sword skills were quite deadly. His hands were quite quick too because of his seal usage, he kind of had to be. Maybe it was just a lack of interest in the arts. He wasn't quite sure himself. He didn't really need taijutsu though. He already had close range combat covered and most taijutsu fighters weren't able to touch him regardless. It seemed unnecessary for him to learn it now. Instead he just had to develop his current skills. Instead of even trying to learn the gentle fist, he instead tried to adapt the general style and use of the technique into his own specialty. Some jutsu he could probably use with water jutsu but the style of closing chakra points was something he would be able to replicate with seals. To close everyones seals would be difficult or even impossible (And would never be approved by the staff) due to the immense amount of points. Instead he decided to make a jutsu to only close a few points and just affect the entire system on a much smaller scale. Definitely not a deadly attack, but it could easily turn the tides of battle when used correctly. Now seals to hold chakra were very simple to make. They were one of the first kinds of seals that Saizo learned under his teacher. In fact, he was actually quite skilled at it. Strangely enough, he wasn't very artistic for being a seal user. He did work well with ink however, and every once in a while he was actually able to make an ink painting but he never considered any of them to be all that spectacular himself. He didn't really share them with people not being his style of doing things. He felt kinda bad for stealing other peoples ways of fighting, but he reminded himself, he was making an inferior version. In a way, he was showing just how superior the gentle fist style was and emphasizing its own power. Thats how he viewed it anyways. Maybe that was a weird way to look at it, but he believed it was a perfect way to interpret it. Maybe it was something he just invented to make himself sleep better at night. Who knows. Saizo didn't anyways. Seals to stop chakra were different then seals meant to hold chakra. That much he had realized while working on this jutsu. It made it fun, interesting, new. Sure they were different, but at the same time they were quite similar. Most of the general concepts were the same, it was just the shape, size and location of the seal that varied from the original. Saizo enjoyed experiments. It was too bad this wasn't much of an experiment. Saizo was, what you would call, a genius. Well, at least in the area of fuuinjutsu. His other areas and general smartyness, If I can call it that, was only a little above average. Well, this isn't entirely true. His skill with water jutsu was very high, and his use of wind jutsu was almost just as strong. He was lucky in the sense that he was able to master nature manipulation rather quickly. Having learned how to do so before he even began the academy training. It had also made wind jutsu all the more easier to learn. If there was anything he really felt like he needed to improve with, it would have been his kenjutsu skills. He had started using the sword at a very young age but it was one of his more neglected skills. He relied a lot more on his other skills to survive. He didn't even use a sword for most of his time as a genin and chunin. He did start using kenjutsu a lot more later on. This was maybe due to the fact that he was blessed with an amazing sword. If it hand't been for that it would have been possible that he would never pick up another sword again. This was a story for another time, though. Instead he was making seals on dummies. They had replicated chakra systems, so it was similar, but not the same as doing it on a real person. They didn't actually have chakra flowing through them, they had another substance. It was sort of like water but it had the same movement and principle. Saizo experimented with different seals, one of them actually blowing the dummies arm off. It was too bad the seal was impractical and would be way to bothersome to use in a real scenario. Instead he just stuck with the little jutsu used to seal chakra flow instead of of arms of people. He had many other jutsu that could do that for him. It would have been awful if he had been using real people for his tests. He didn't know what he would have done if he handicapped a man for the rest of their life and made them quit their ninja job because of it. Looking back at what could have happened made him kind of laugh. He wasn't sure why. It seemed like a rather tragic scene. Maybe he was finally losing it. 1017/1000

Now even longer then these other three jutsu were made, heck, before he even new all the academy jutsu, he was learning how to experiment with the Hydrification Technique and creating his own clan justu. Now, they were weak jutsu, of course. He only had small chakra control and didn't know how to use it all at the time, but even without knowing, he was able to manipulate his body and create these cool little effects. One of them was colour change. It was rather interesting, changing the colour of water. It made for pretty shows and other kind of cute and pretty things a kid could think of. This jutsu, unlike most of the others he had ended up making and learning actually had value outside of play time. He never realized it at the time, but the strategical value was hidden within his jutsu, just like that of his kekkei genkai. The many uses were far better then normal offensive jutsu with only one use. Maybe not able to go up against one head on, but if used right offered so many possibilities. He could fake a bottle of beer perhaps. Spill blood all over someones floor to spook them out of their minds. Look like some crazy chemical that would burn and incinerate things on touch, or maybe he could use it to entertain children as a sort of clown coloured water monkey of some sort. Maybe he could use it in a fight. Nah, that would be ridiculous. Everybody knows that E-Rank jutsu are useless in fights. Just like dental floss. Dental floss was always very useful, just never in a fight. Maybe if the enemy was cavities, but the likelihood of that is... well maybe that could actually happen. He had seen some pretty strange ninja throughout his life. It wasn't impossible. Unlikely, but not impossible. Weaponizing cavities could prove to be an effective weapon. It would effectively shut down a large amount of summoned animals and some people who actually did use teeth and bones for their weapon of choice. Bones, eh? Could be the Kaguyas blood enemy. The Cavity creating clan of death. Able to cause immense pain to the violent bone users. That seemed like the only kekkei genkai that they would be able to fight. It was the only one Saizo could think from the top of his head. There were many weird mutations, though. Can't rule any of them out just yet. Well, maybe there was a clan just to change the colour of water. Something he replicated himself with a simple jutsu at the young age of five. That would be rather disappointing for that clan. Being bested by a toddler with minimal knowledge of jutsu. It would surely make that clan the laughingstock of whatever village they came from. Couldn't actually even call it a Kekkei Genkai, just a jutsu they all learned with ease. Maybe Saizo was imagining the box way too big. Sure the world was huge, but the chances of all these sorts of mutations were unlikely. They would probably die out before they were able to spread to other people. This was a world where only the strong survived after all. 537/500
