- Mission Title: Delivery service
Difficulty: D
Location: -set-
Reward: 9,100
Objective: A delivery man by the name of Gen has just opened a delivery service that could eventually be useful to the village and he needs help. Enough help that he has asked to have some help and has paid in advance. He thinks that with the use of a ninja could make the start of his business a big enough success that things will go smoothly after that. Your job is to help. This mission is repeatable and can be completed in any village.
Other: You have to deliver a small box, five letters, a barrel of fish, a box of chocolates and a large stuffed teddy bear. They can be delivered in any order but be careful, prioritize. Some are more important than others.
"
You are too report to Gen and help him out before we can return you back to active duty." Rain looked at the mission giver with a sense of irritation because he was a special jounin being sent on a D ranked mission of all things. However, looking at things on the bright side at least he did not have to worry about dying or anything to major while getting paid. His stomach groaned in agreement as the incorrigible two walked out of the mission hall.
The sunlight was the first thing to truly effect Rain as he was not expecting it with the weather being overcast when he first arrived. The lady who gave him the mission toward him the man Gen would be waiting by the city gates for Rain to transport the goods to the nearest mini-village in Storm Country. Not being in any particular rush Rain found himself idly walking towards the village gates wondering what surprises he'd face along the way. Though, this was merely a D-ranked mission, things in the ninja world rarely went as smoothly as one thought.
"It matters not I'm an Uchiha." Rain found himself saying even though he was among the more free spirited of his clan their was still a healthy admiration trained into it's clan members. Rain is not old enough to remember why they came to the Storm country in the first place but had heard the story countless times when he first arrived back here from the slaving ring. A thought arced through Rain's head like a lightning bolt as began to think about how he was going to deliver these objects.
So with the energy of the energizer bunny Rain finally found his body in motion as he leaped to a nearby ledge. Thankfully, the horse carriage system was not far at all from the village gates so in two relatively short bounds he found himself before the horse carriage owner's house. As he walked in he was ambushed into a tight bear hug around his two knees, the man had two younger daughters who Rain treated like his own when he was around. Having saving them from the threat of a bandit who was holding them ransom their father understood the close connection and also helped Rain out with his ninja career.
"Ni-ni is your father woke yet?" She nodded her head before literally dragging Rain into another room where her father was. For a young child she was already quite strong but Rain thought it had something to do with the clan her mother was from. The women of that clan seemed to boost a naturally unnatural level of strength. As Rain saw the horse owner a rare smile was brought to his face being around something close to family as he said "Rou! It's good to see you doing well and I wish I was not here on business but I need to borrow a horse and carriage for this rather quick mission." Rain paused for a second to watch Ni-Ni as she and her sister played ninja while they playfully fought each other through on the room using flowers as kunai much to their father's digress of course. "I should be back with your horse and carriage by nightfall however." In truth Rain no longer really needed to ask but he felt much better doing so.
As Rain embarked on his way out of the village gates it was a rather gloomy day which did wonders for foretelling. He knew that bandits also frequent the parts of the woods he'd have to navigate to get through the the nearby village in a quick fashion. For the most part the first part of the ride was uneventful but right on time two bandits hopped out the woods upon their horse driven carriage. Rain nodded at the carriage driver to tell him that everything was fine as he stepped down from the carriage. As he walked towards the bandits they laughed before rushing him. He side stepped the first to come while tripping him on his face. The second one he had to narrowly duck while driving his head into the man's chin.
The second one seemed to get up and struggle between thoughts of whether he would truly be able to fight Rain or not. And like the scared pup he was, the man ran off into the woods leaving Rain to hop back on the carriage and take off. Shortly after they arrived in the village and was able to drop off the load to Gen's customers in the sub village of Shippukagure. However, on a bone headed mistake one of the items was supposed to have been delivered within the village and it was worth the most ryo. Rain found himself telling the carriage driver to double time it out the sub-village. Sure that they would make it back before nightfall even with their previous interruption. However, as a rather large bandit came stomping his way out of the woods with an equally large axe and the cowardly bandit before looking snide; Rain did not know how his odds were currently looking.
Stepping off the carriage he charged the man with the attack, but the coward threw shuriken that caused Rain to have to venture off his original course to dodge while the man with the axe lumbered ever closer to Rain. As he took a mighty swing, Rain had to duck low and get beneath his swing path to only narrow escape a rather gruesome death. Rain did what any desperate man would do and repeatedly kicked the large axe wielding bandit in the private area. And you'd be surprised at how quickly the somewhat of a giant forgot about his large axe. However, while this was going on the coward was antagonizing the carriage driver for the last item. Taking a rock from his pocket and taking aim he managed to knock some of the man's attention his way. Rain took a moment to smile at the thought as he ran over and with a series of well placed punches knocked the coward out.
Winded from his exertion he told the carriage driver to march on as he laid down in the back for a quick nap. For a D-ranked mission all was to be expected as Rain faced two bandits on the way their and another one on the way back but they did not offer too much resistance. Before he knew it he was back at the office having his mission being marked as complete.
