The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Vex had wrath and Chatity sheathes across her back like she always did, she was considered a troubled child but a prodigy- the higher ranking shinobi couldn't tell whether they liked her or hated her. Either way, they treated her with indifference and concern: they never liked her going near the Kanetsukage's office, for fear she would do something foolish.
Vex was intelligent, albeit her violent nature often got in the way of her actions. Se couldn't afford to get upset when seeing the Kanetsukage, likely the kage would give her a scolding- whether verbal or physical, Vex wasn't willing to venture and find out.
She knocked on the door before entering, bowed respectfully and stood there at the desk of Cornelia.
Kanetsukgake-San, I'm requesting a mission.
She set a brown envelope on the desk with details about the mission and waited for the kage to stamp her seal on it so she could start.

Cornelia sat in her chair, her hand moving diligently with a pen across the small stack of papers that were in front of her. It was a slow day and she did not mind reading, reviewing and signing the many documents that either needed to be approved or denied by the citizens of the hidden storm. It was something she had come to expect and no longer hated or made her as angry anymore. There was then a knock at her door to which she stopped and looked as Vex came into the room and requested a mission of her and she would let her eyes follow the brown envelope as it landed on her desk which she took and opened it and read it over.
The mission seemed simple enough, a guarding post that she would leave for a few days to guard it. Cornelia would start signing the document but would speak while doing so. "Are you sure you can handle this miss Xanadu without any problems?" She would finish signing the paper and put it back into the envelope and hold it out to Vex but waited for a reply.

Vex placed her delicate hands on the envelope and looks into her kage's eyes directly; the young woman hadn't been in the village long and was still considered a genin. Her physique was a pretty pretense to the real demon beneath; people often mistook her for a gentle and peaceful girl. Vex respected Cornelia for her position as Kage, only people with true talent and power could achieve such positions... but she wouldn't be looked down on by anyone.
Trust me, Cornelia-san- I'm capable of defending the crossroads and other things as well by myself.
It was all she needed to say, the look on her face was determination and spoke volumes of truth- she wasn't disrespectful, but she left little to no room for debate on the matter. She would wait for a proper reply from her Kage and then turn about and go about completing her mission.

Vex answered the Kanetsukage saying that she should simply trust in her abilities to defend herself and the mission objective. Cornelia placed the envelope onto the table and slid it forward toward the Genin and then withdrew her hands and interlocked them within one another. She then lowered her head down so that she could look above her fingers "I'm more worried about you going overboard. I will trust your judgement and we'll see how this turns out." She then reached over and took hold of a pen and then went back toward working on the papers in front of her.

Vex tossed the mission report paperwork onto the desk of the Kanetsukage; and stood by the desk as the papers would be reviewed, signed, stamped and her rewards awarded to her. Mission complete Kanetsugake-san.. though the other sentry on duty with me was a day late. So after we got back to the village, I pulverized him with the flat of my sword: he's likely in the hospital, so you can expect his report to come from a medical-nin later today.

Code: Name: Rumble in the Storm Difficulty: B Location: Boufuugakure no Sato Reward: 30,000 Ryo Experience: 100 Experience Objective: Head to Fenrir's Grove and there you will have to search for a petty thief and assassinate them. Description: Fenrir's Grove is a dark place that not much of anything can be seen once inside. As of late, thieves have taken it upon themselves to take what they want from the village and think themselves safe inside the Grove and the number of thefts are starting to grow more and more with each one that gets away. Kill any thief you come across unless they comply to turn themselves into Hel's Playground but we suspect they will resist.

Mission complete Kanetsugake-san.. though there were no survivors at the grove; all of them wished to not surrender- so I slaughtered them all accordingly.

Name: Old man of Thor Difficulty: B Location: Boufuugakure no Sato Reward: 30,000 Ryo Experience: 100 Experience Objective: Escort the elderly man to the Temple of Thor, protect him whilst he prays and dispose of the bodies before he exits. Do not let him know what you are up to so he can rest easy. Description: Consider this elder a VIP. He has aided the village much in its building and of its trade and deserves peace of mind. As such, some wish to eliminate him due to his involvement in past shady deals. He is not much of a fighter, though. On behalf of the Kanetsukage, he wishes to visit the Temple of Thor at the top of the highest hill in Boufuugakure. This would be when he is most vulnerable, so the ninja are likely to strike. They'll send large numbers in anticipation of ninja bodyguards. Protect the elder during his ceremony inside the temple, and let not one single ninja enter said temple. Hold them off and defeat them before the ceremony completes. We want him to feel as though he has nothing to fear, so remove the bodies before he exits so that he does not see them. That way, there will be no reason to believe there was conflict. Escort him back to the safety of the village.
