History: Before Birth – The 10 Year Hurricane and Great Grandfather KotenFather Koten, a man of great wisdom, and equal humility had been the great healer of the village before Shippugakure no Sato had been constructed! All turned to him for spiritual and physical healing, prayer and guidance. He had always held the appearance of a very elderly man; however, he never seemed to lack vitality and strength, speed nor wit in all of his years. His family had been protected by the clans as a neutral resource, much like the other elders of the island who were held their own skill sets and reasons why they were promised neutrality and protection. All of the clans on the island had sought him out if death or physical injury had occurred while fighting amongst themselves and other island inhabitants.
He wasn’t the most skilled elder on the island when it came to making predictions of the future although he had his occasional luck now and then, like most men do. Father Koten had predicted, since his affinity for the healing arts was so strong, that all of the fighting would one day cause a great calamity to fall upon the island as a whole, one that none of the island inhabitants would be able to survive.
Exactly a year later, on the birth of his fifth daughter, the ten year hurricane began. It devastated the island, traumatized the inhabitants and claimed many lives. The Clans were riddled with death, as they lived amongst the borders of the island. The main benefit to not being a part of the clan, at this point in time of history, on this particular island was that the neutral elders, the community of inhabitants who held no clan allegiance, rightfully due to blood or in the form of a fanatical admiration, were mostly saved due to their central focus on the island. The years passed, one after another, after another. At first the island fighting was as it was before, in belief that the Hurricane that was spoken about wasn’t to be as it was said to be. Eventually, near the middle of the Hurricane’s length, unbeknownst to them at that point in time, the fighting between the clans diminished entirely.
The second half of the ten year hurricane was primarily focused on survival and many families from the clan had come to Father Koten seeking for spiritual healing and forgiveness. In this process, Father Koten had realized what a miracle the hurricane was, and how by the God’s act of causing it, it was beginning to heal their island and most importantly bring everyone together. In this year Mother Koten had blessed the family with yet another girl, Father Koten’s sixth! They were reaching an age now where one or two more shots at getting their son would be all they had left. If a son wasn’t born, there would be no way for the name of Koten to live onward.
The ten years had finally passed and finally, what Father Koten and so many of the clansmen of the island had been praying for came to be: a savior, the already familiar Guardian of the Sky. Myria Edrick, the founder of the eagle clan, had gathered everyone on the island and pitched the idea of peace, the idea of unity, all of us – each and every clan to the neutral elders whom all the clansmen turned to for help – into a Village. It was unanimous that such a thing should be done, and it was so.
Family Lineage– A year before the construction of the Ao Phalanx Harbor“Father Koten,” spoke the old raspy voice which was followed by a small wrinkled and weather faded old hand that pushed back the flaps into his tent. “Yes, Mother Reivun,” he answered, quickly rising to his feet to help guide her in and down to a pillow to relax her bones. She had not been as fortunate in her aging as Father Koten, and most were worried for her health and what would happen to their Great Seer when she would pass. Her nickname came from the aura of her body growing so daunt and black, as well as the connection between Raven’s and their mythical ability to foresee the future. Mother Reivun had proven time and time again that she was no fluke and she only made trips outside of her place of residence and business to relay a message from the future. “You have already planted the seed for a son, whom will be the sign of great fortune for the village as a whole. A year from your son’s birth, the village will construct a great resource, which will be just the beginning to the prosperity that is to come.”
Family Lineage– After the betrayal of the Eagle ClanCenturies had passed with peace then BOOM! Like a loud, unexpected slam of the door, things in Shippugakure no Sato had changed. The Eagle Clan had overlooked the corruption within its own house. A grave mistake which sent the entirety of the village running for more stability, hopeful that they would find it in other countries and villages. Koten Chitun, the Grandchild of the Great Healer, Father Koten, trained and just as masterful, if not more so than the Great Healer was during his time, would never abandon the village and vowed to see it regain its former prosperity, despite the happenings of the Eagle Clan. Since the rise of the Hidden Village, the past centuries provided adequate time for the Medical healing techniques of Father Koten to be transformed into Medical Ninjutsu, written and sealed in scrolls, passed down from generation to generation and increased in effectiveness every time. Chitun had faced a similar peril as his own grandfather, having been blessed with many daughters, yet struggling to find that only son needed to carry on the Koten namesake.
BirthKoten Tekishi, a name that at birth held no significance other than the relation to the great healer, would soon get tasked with what many men and women the world over consider to be a lifelong curse, just as much as the power that comes along with what was about to be sealed inside him is a gift. The Koten family had not expected such a power to be bestowed upon their namesake, especially since they weren't born into any bloodline abilities or have any other advantageous starts into the Shinobi world. Exactly like the situation of Father Koten, Chitun had made a family consisting of six girls and the youngest born, Tekishijin, the only son.
Early ChildhoodKoten Tekishi had been raised by a family that was deeply rooted in the history of the Shinobi world. His father had taken a lot of pride, and much care in providing his only son with the proper tools and teachings to become a successful shinobi. From the age of birth to seven all of his training had been purely mental. His father had trained him in many different languages; the language of the flowers, the birds, mammals, reptilians, the weather, and as much mannerisms of the different countries and their respective shinobi villages as he had known. Most would think that the key to being the best mentor to the strongest, most skilled shinobi would be to start on his physical prowess, techniques and chakra control as soon as possible; however, Tekishi's father, had disagreed with that train of thought.
Chitun had known that the most optimal time to develop a mind is from birth to age seven, when the child can take in and hold the most complex information. He had taught him sciences such as astronomy, and numerology, to better know and understand people. He taught him astrology so that he would be able to orient himself wherever he may be, and navigate the world over with his knowledge of asterisms and constellations. He taught him about the human body and its anatomy, pressure points, natural weaknesses and strengths that may be of use to his son in the shinobi lifestyle that he was getting ready to set him on. He taught him the law of awareness, 'you must know yourself to grow yourself,' the law of the mirror, 'you must see value in yourself to add value to yourself,' the law of modeling, 'it's hard to improve when you have no one but yourself to follow,' the law of the rubber band, 'growth stops when you lose the tension between where you are and where you could be,' the law of contribution, ' developing yourself enables you to develop others.' The last law, that of contribution, just as he is doing his moral duty as a father to contribute to his son, he must do so for others -- especially those whom he holds no blood relation to. This way, and only through this law of contribution, will he be reach the world renown status that he expressed that he so desired.
Early Childhood to Teenager Training – Taking on the BijuuAt the age of 7 his father had decided to switch Tekishi's training and it had gone from mental to physical development. He began instructing him in the ways of Ninjutsu, passing him the secrets of medical ninjutsu that was their family keepsake for more years than anyone alive in the family now had actually known. This training had persisted for 10 years until the day the Nibi had arisen from the Onozuka River. Many lives had been sacrificed that day, for the moment bringing the Village back to a unified state. Chitun, secretively seeking to add even more meaning to the Koten name had offered his son to be the new Jinchuuriki after the direct assault and capture of the beast. Since the name of Koten had been trusted in the village, those and most importantly, Tekishijin himself, had agreed to it.
~The camera pans out showing the whole of Hurricane Country. A bright light breaks the darkness of the night sky, extending to the zenith of the celestial sphere and for what feels like an eternity, it remains until dissipating just as quickly as it came~
The black lines of the seal that surrounded the entirety of the house had all retracted as they dug into the skin and locked the entirety of the Nibi no Kuni's essence and chakra into this young man, Koten Tekishijin, the new two tailed Jinchuuriki.

The sun broke through the emptiness of the house, and shone brightly onto the face of Tekishijin. He laid there with only his loose fitting shinobi pants on. The bed and all the belongings that were Takashi's were removed from the house. The house had appeared aged by a couple decades overnight. Through closed eyes, he could feel the warmth of the sun, it's orange glow dissolving the stiffness and soreness he felt throughout his body.
{Nothing ends / every blade of grass / remembering your sound} The voice in his head, that wasn't his own, startled him to consciousness. "Who th.." He pushed himself back against the wall wildly looking around the house for someone else. His breathing heavy. {I will miss Takashi-san.} "Who are you!?" {The names Nanabi, I'm hot like Wasabi, but currently as sad as the living family of the finest piece of kalamari.} Tekishijin couldn't help himself but to grin at the rhyme. "Is this... you...what Takashi was talking about? Were you what he was saying that he would pass on to me, and are you suppose to be the beginning of my legacy?" {Unfortunately so, I'm heartbroken that he had to go. That's the way of life, if only Takashi could've lived it twice...} Tekishijin sat there with his back up against the wall, relaxing only enough to let his head roll back and rest on the wall. He bit his lip, bitter that now not only had he lost his father, but the only other person he saw as a father figure in his life. His thoughts repeated the first words of Nanabi 'Nothing ends, every blade of grass, remembering your sound...'
A slight breeze pushed it's way through the open shutter off to Tekishijin's left, and as it seemed to settle, seven cherry blossoms had floated in and spread themselves out around the empty room. Their voices synchronized in the following words as they both felt the same sentiment and saw the same meaning in the arrival of the cherry blossoms: 'Thank you, Takashi-san.'
