The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Our hero was exploring the Hidden Glacier one morning, because he wanted to get a feel for the village. He still wasn't accustomed to the unique, sometimes elitist customs that the villagers had, including not greeting each other as people passed each other on the streets. This was quite a culture shock for our hero, as he was used to the jovial meet and greet that was the norm in his home village, the Hidden Jungle. And that was not all our hero wasn't used to. The cuisine of the village was foreign to his tongue as well. He couldn't say they were bad, it may be because he hasn't acquired a taste for the exotic native food yet. And so, he found himself walking along the Main Royal Street.
Our hero then noticed a huge conglomerate of people gathered about two hundred feet in front of him. They were standing in front of a magnificent palace. As our hero got closer, he then realized that it was some sort of field trip for high school civilians. He heard the tour guide tell the crowd: "Here in front Shichiyou Palace there is an entrance to an underground tunnel that leads straight to the Spirit Oasis, where many of our valiant shinobi come to meditate. Of course, civilians are welcome to meditate and do yoga as well!" Our hero found this to be very intriguing. Maybe he can learn more about his destiny from Ashura once he sees him again in his dreams... Or maybe he cane see him again if he meditates! With this thought in mind, our hero rushed towards the underground entrance, startling many of the civilian visitors.
As our hero entered the underground tunnel, the beauty of the architecture struck him. The way the tunnel was built was that the ceilig and walls all lok like they are corkscrewing towards the oasis. The art engraved on the walls also left our hero astounded. Paintings of intricate spirals and majestic floral art decorated the walls. Perhaps this was why many people find this place relaxing, our hero thought to himself. But what our hero didn't know was that the tunnel was nothing compared to the Oasis itself. He was about to find out.

“Whoaaa…” Yuumaru whispered in awe. The domed ceiling of the place was coated with mercury, and studded with large pieces of diamond, giving the “sky” a fluid texture with diamond stars twinkling here and there. It was an architectural feat Yuumaru could not possibly fathom. He wondered how long it must’ve taken for the Hidden Glacier Villagers to finish construction of this Domed Area. As the hero walked on the path to the island visible in front of him, about 100 feet away, he marvelled at the steel walkway and the beautiful mosaic of the little “sidealks” that these walkways had. The mosaic depicted a long dragon’s body, with its tail where Yuumaru came from and its head, Yuumaru predicted, probably lay on the end of the sidewalk, on the island.
As the island at the center of the Oasis Dome got closer and closer, our hero realized that it was colossal. Many civilians dotted the outer ring of the perfect circular island, but inside the island were shinobi, deep in meditation. There seemed to be a barrier of ninjutsu separating the civilians from the meditating shinobi. Suddenly, when our stepped among the civilians’ area, the ninjutsu barrier suddenly came crashing down. At the sudden dispelling of the jutsu, the civilians panicked for a moment until calmed down by the tour guides. FInally, they were escorted out by one of the ninja meditating. One of the older ninja, sporting a great white beard that stretched to the floor, looked at Yuumaru with a discerning stare. Then, without any expressions on his face, said calmly, “I see. The Savior of the World has arrived.”

Suddenly, the other ninja stood up and opened their eyes from meditation, and turned to our hero. Our hero’s jaw dropped. They were all the same ninja! They were clones… right? “My master, it’s been a long time. A long, long time. Welcome back, Ashura-sama…” Ashura? What the heck? What the heck is this old man blabbering about? “Old man, I’m sorry to inform you, but I’m not Ashu--” The old man seemed to not notice our hero speaking to him, and just kept on talking to him like he was another person. Like he was Ashura himself. “Master, the world has become a very, very dark place. It is very timely of you to arrive at this time. At this generation…” The old man then became quiet for a second, then spoke again. “There’s two saviors now? Huh? Your half-sister? That means there really is a dark danger ahead of us.” Yuumaru was starting to see what was going on. Ashura was talking to the old man from inside of him!
“Hm, looks like you have picked a bright young man as your reincarnation, Ashura-sama. He has already figured as out. Yes… I shall have fun testing his skills!” Testing my skills? What? Yuumaru didn’t have time to finish his thoughts. The man suddenly put his hands together to form a ninja seal. The “clones” that were next to him suddenly ran towards our hero, and then one tackled him to the ground and pinned him, while the other jumped in the air, intending to land on both our hero and the other “clone.” He then shouted in a loud voice: “Fire Style: Fission Burst!!” The “clones” began to glow, and in an instant, a fiery explosion that engulfed the massive island at the center of the Dome set off.

Am… Am I dead? No… that can’t be… but… I remember not escaping from that explosion…. I couldn’t have possibly escaped that jutsu… When our hero opened his eyes, he felt a feeling all too familiar. He was again in an alternate dimension. Everything around him was a sky blue color, this time, unlike Jiraiya’s pinkish white ambience. No… I can’t be dead… I must be in an alternate dimension… Suddenly, our hero heard a voice come from behind him. “Welcome, Savior of this World. Welcome…” It was the man from earlier! “I am Futsu, and I will be your Transmigration Sensei.” Our hero was quite overwhelmed at this revelation. A stranger proclaiming himself to be his “Transmigration Sensei”? What the heck?! “The man was talking nonsense. Maybe this was a senile, albeit powerful, ninja, who had the ability to suck people into alternate dimensions! “Ok, old man! Enough of this nonsense! Bring me back to--” The old man spoke, interrupting our hero once again. “Ashura-sama has sent me from heaven to educate you in the matters of the Rinne Samsara, also known as Transmigration. You and your friend, Megumi-- Excuse me, Yuri Onmyoton are very special indeed. You will both be the LAST reincarnations of the children of Hagoromo Ootsutsuki. You two, are the last chosen ones.”
Before our hero could let the words truly sink in, Futsu interrupted our hero, this time his thoughts, once again. “Now, being the Fire Ninjutsu Kami, I have complete mastery over the element of Fire. Ashura-sama has let me know that his current incarnation is of the Fire Nature Release.” Futsu then examined our hero for a brief moment. “Hm, yes… so it looks like you do not possess the Power of the Tailed Beasts, and as such, will never obtain the Bijuu Six Paths Mode…” Futsu looked disappointed for a moment, then suddenly, his face turned bright as if a light bulb flickered inside his head. “Now I see why Ashura-sama has chosen me for this task… So I guess he wants you to go to THAT path…” Yuumaru was confused. “What path?” He asked the old man, curious to no end. “young one, he wants you to go through the Avatar Path!”
Subject: Re: Taking in the Sights (Closed) Sun Jun 15, 2014 1:20 am
Before our hero could ask about the Avatar Path, the old man explained in a stern, commanding voice: “The Avatar Path is the path taken by Ashura himself during his fight with his older brother, Indra. It is a unique path that forces the person to go through extreme hardship and loneliness first, and then rising and gaining friends, and with that, gaining power--power to do good things… Since you do not possess the mighty chakra of your original self, Ashura-sama, you will have to settle for your specialty, Katon Chakra.” At first, Yuumaru felt offended. The old man seemed to be belittling the fact that he only had FIre Style as his specialty! But then, he recalled the words of his heroic grandfather, the previous head of the Senju Clan, Daiki: ”Did you know, my son, that even Asura, our ancestor, used to be a failure? It wasn’t strength that enabled him to defeat Indra...no, Indra was more powerful. Do you know what it was?....It was guts….If you get back up whenever you fall, then it doesn’t matter how many times you fail….you will eventually succeed! I tell you, Yuumaru….work hard, and in time, your Fire Style will incinerate even my Wood Style.”
Afterwards, Yuumaru felt great; he thought of this as a way to further his strength, which is what it exactly was. Our hero felt that this training will enable him to save the world from hate and darkness, with Yu-chan. He also wanted to surpass his rival and fellow savior, Yuri Onmyoton. He smiled at Futsu. “YOSHHAAAA! Old man, I think I’m about ready for you! Bring it on!” The old man didn’t seem impressed. “Old man, you’re surprisingly cold for being the Fire Kami!” our hero joked. The old man’s expression didn’t change. Instead, the old man spoke, “Now, we start our training, Savior of This World. I want to see you control your Katon chakra.” The old man then spit out a huge ball of blue fire. Before Yuumaru could dodge it, it engulfed him. Surprisingly, it didn’t burn him. “I have now given you near-unlimited chakra in this alternate dimension of mine. Now…. start with your Fire Ball Jutsu!” Yuumaru did the necessary hand seals, and huge ball of fire spewed from his mouth, with maximum speed and diameter. The Fire kami didn;t bother dodging. When our hero saw this, he shouted: “Old man! Dodge it!” What the old man did next made our hero’s jaw dropped. He sucked the Fire Ball into his mouth!!
“I see. Very impressive, young one. It appears you have great mastery over the Fire Nature Release. It is the hardest of the elements to master, and yet, you have managed to master it even though you are still a Genin. You truly are the reincarnation of Ashura-sama!” The old man still didn’t smile, though. “But, I am still not fully impressed. Show me… your Phoenix Fist!” The Blue Beast of the Hidden Jungle then lit his fists on fire. The heat was so intense with his passions that it glowed blue. Yu-chan… just you wait! I’ll prove that I’m worthy to be your rival!! Our hero then dashed to the Fire Kami recklessly with no letup, fists burning as bright as the sun itself.

Before our hero’s fists could hit the Fire Kami, however, he suddenly was teleported back in the real world. Since he was still punching in mid air, he fell face first to the ground in the real world. He found that his fists weren’t on fire. Then, our hero realized that the old man, Futsu, was gone. Our hero got back up his feet. Man, I must be going crazy… He thought. Then, when he turned around, he saw that there was another person in the Domed Area. It was a young woman, about the same age as him. “Greetings… May I ask… what were you doing a moment ago?” The woman had this sleepy tone and expression about her, and her words almost sound like they were slurred. “I… My name is… Tomoko…” She almost whispered. “May I also ask your name…. stranger?” Man, new people appearing one after another! Our hero thought for a moment whether he should disclose his personal information or not. Then again, he remembered he had a fake name. “I am Aoki Yuumaru. Sorry about earlier… I was kind of in a daze.” Our hero then made a silly gesture that indicated he really was clueless about what he was doing earlier.
“Thaaank you…” Tomoko said slowly. Yuumaru was puzzled. Suddenly, Tomoko slowly fell to the ground-- good thing our hero was quick and he caught her in time. “Hey! Are you alright?” “Usually…. people get creeped out by me… and so… I always spend my time here in the Spirit Oasis… at this hour, when all the people are gone…” “Why would I get creeped out by you? You’re actually very--” Yuumaru said without thinking. He stopped himself just before making it awkward between them. Then, Tomoko closed her eyes. “Tomoko! TOMOKO!!!!”
When Tomoko woke up, she found herself in a hospital bed, and our hero was sitting on the chair next to her bed, diligently waiting for her to recover. When she saw him, she started crying tears of joy. “Tomoko… I’m so glad you’re okay. But why are you crying?” Our hero asked worriedly. “It’s just that-- I never dreamed that… when I get sent to the hospital… anyone would visit me or be with me…” Our hero then sat on her bed with her and hugged her tightly. He blushed, unaware that he was capable of doing such things with a girl he’d just met. But it came so naturally for him. “Don’t worry, Tomoko. I’m your friend… and this is what friends are for.” WHen he pulled away, he looked at the young woman’s eyes. Immediately, he realized that her eyes were the eyes of a lonely soul, one that has been surrounded by nothing but loneliness all her life. Her eyes reminded him of his own. He then started to talk in a soothing, relaxing tone: “Tomoko… I am like you, you know. I used to be lonely as well. But then… destiny always has something in store for us… something good.” Our hero then smiled. “You see, I met this girl… and instantly, our friendship clicked! It was one of those moments where you just don’t know why it happened but it did.” He stopped, then touched his cheek, remembering his best friend’s kiss. Then he looked at Tomoko again and said, “It’s just like us, you know?” He smiled and winked. Tomoko cried even harder, and chuckled while crying. She then hugged our hero very tightly. Then she whispered in his ear, “Thank you.” This time, she spoke clearly.

After about two days, Tomoko had finally recovered. Apparently, according to the Medic-Nin and the civilian doctors, Tomoko had a rare genetic disease that makes her faint in extreme stress. Throughout her stay at the Hidden Glacier Infirmary, our hero had diligently brought her snacks and drinks, and on the morning of the second day, even brought her flowers while he was gone to train to keep in shape for two hours. After showering in an inn, our hero went back and picked up the currently recovered young woman. As the two walked towards the exit of the hospital, Yuumaru remembered the night when he got out of the Hidden Moon hospital to go to the Luna Cathedral, where he would meet his best friend, Yuri Onmyoton. He then remembered what Jiraiya told him, that Yuri had saved him from medical molesters in the Hidden Moon.
He then looked at Tomoko, and was quite surprised that she was also looking at him. Our hero, ever the gentleman, quickly blushed and looked away, to which Tomoko only chuckled. Our hero looked at her and tried his best to save face and act smooth. “I know I’m very attractive, but no need to faint next time, okay?” Our hero didn’t know, but that was exactly the reason why Tomoko fainted. Anyways, our hero realized that it was time to tell Tomoko the truth. He trusted her, and he felt that she felt the same about him. “Tomoko, would you like to go to the Royal Theater with me?” Tomoko wasted no time in replying: “Of course! My hero!” Immediately, Yuumaru froze. “Yuumaru-kun, are you alright?” Tomoko’s voice trailed off. But this time, it wasn’t because of her. Our hero’s mind seemed to be someplace else… He remembered Kyoko-chan. Those were the same words she had told him when he first saved her, and when she helped him recover, and when she died in his arms. Although our hero trusted Tomoko, he didn’t want to reveal his weak side to her, and so gathered his resolve and successfully held back the tears that were about to come. He looked at the young woman and smiled. “Of course I’m okay. Now, shall we?” He bent his elbow and motioned for Tomoko to cling to it, as if the two were a couple. Tomoko followed his implication and the two walked on to the theater, sharing small conversation along the way.
On the way to the theater, Tomoko educated our hero little by little on the Hidden Glacier customs. WIthout revealing his true identity yet, our hero successfully managed to pry from the young woman a little bit of the culture of the exotic village he was in. Our hero learned more about the history of the village, about how the Fubukikage of the village had taken over the whole Blizzard Country from Emperor Tenzou, the Shichiyou Monarch. Our hero also learned the landmarks of the village, and the sights to see. He also learned about the famous restaurants and eateries in town, many of which Tomoko told him they should go to together. He also asked about why the natives of the Hidden Glacier are quite snobbish, to which Tomoko teased, “I’m not that snobbish, am I?” Our hero blushed and replied, “Of course not! That’s not what I--” “I know, I know.” Tomoko laughed and teased. “First of all, we are called Blizzard-borns, and second of all, we’re snobbish because we like to emulate the Shichiyou Clan, the Royal Clan of the Blizzard Country…” Then she leaned closer to our hero and smiled. “So… when are you planning to tell me who you REALLY are… my hero?” Our hero blushed and was quite shocked. SO she has deciphered through my facade?! This girl is one smart cookie! “I planned to tell you in the theater…” And with that, Yuumaru looked ahead in a serious manner, letting the girl know that he indeed meant what he said; they would talk later in the theater. The reason being was: the streets were too crowded for our hero to reveal that he was a foreigner who had snuck in to the most secretive village in the world!!

The pair bought tickets to a more secluded part of the Theater, the Northwest Corner. Our hero spent RYO from CHieko baa-chan to get the best seats possible, trying to impress Tomoko-chan. Once the two made sure they were alone in their audience box, they started talking while also watching the majestic play below them. The play was about the historical Battle of the Wall, during the War of Kazangakure, during which thousands upon thousands of bodies lay during the aftermath, after three days of the Hidden Glacier forces holding off the enemy’s assault. It was during this battle that the Hidden Glacier gained the reputation of being Invincible. The play was superbly performed, with actors portraying with great finesse and feeling. Many people from the audience were already shedding tears at the tenth minute into the play.
Then, Tomoko leaned to our hero and whispered. “So, what were you planning to tell me?” Our hero turned to her and whispered in reply, “Tomoko-chan… I’m not as I seem to be…” Tomoko chuckled softly. “I already knew that the moment I met you, Yuumaru-kun.” Our hero blushed, but Tomoko smiled at him. “I’m sorry for interrupting! Please continue.” Our hero continued: “I’m not really a… what do you call it again? A Blizzard-born. I’m from the Hidden Jungle.” Our hero then unzipped his sky blue Glacier Cloak and showed Tomoko his black outfit inside, complete with the Senju mon (symbol) on his left chest and his Hidden Jungle belt. “My real name is Senju Yuumaru, and I came here because I’m training with a sensei. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you earlier, Tomoko-chan.” Tomoko didn’t even look confused or puzzled or surprised. “Aoki or Senju, Glacier or Jungle, it matters not. You are my Yuumaru-kun… my hero!” She touched his left cheek… Oh my Gods! It IS HAPPENING! A GIRL IS GOING TO KISS ME!!! Our hero’s heart started beating about a million times per minute, and he felt it burst out of his chest. As Tomoko caressed his cheeks and moved it to his neck, Yuumaru leaned in closer to his face. Then, closing his eyes, he puckered his lips. One second. Two seconds. Three seconds. Still no kiss. Finally, our hero opened his eyes, and saw a smiling Tomoko-chan. She then put a finger on the tip of our hero’s nose and said playfully, “Don’t rush when it comes to love, Yuumaru-kun… It’s better to take it nice and easy…” And with that, she moved in and kissed our hero’s left cheek. “Let’s start with that, okay?” She then winked and smiled at him. As the play went on, Tomoko also shared her secrets with Yuumaru. It turns out that she is the daughter of a noble family stationed out in the western region of the Blizzard Country. She comes to the village once in a while to do her duties as a shrine maiden at the Shichiyou Shinto Temple. Yuumaru then laughed softly. “And I thought I was going to impress you by buying these top seats…” When he turned back at the young woman, Tomoko was looking at him with a serious face. “You don’t need to impress me, Yuumaru-kun. You’re already my hero.”
After the theater, the two rented an inn. with two bedrooms, of course, (Our hero wouldn’t repeat the same mistake that he made when he stayed with Chieko and Yuri-chan back in the Hidden Moon Village!!), and explored the village together for a few more days. On the ninth day of them being together, Tomoko had to go back to her family at the countryside. When she was about to leave, our hero told her, “Thank you for keeping me company, even for a short while, Tomoko-chan. I really needed it.” Our hero was doing his best to hold back tears. Tomoko smiled. “No need for the long face, my hero. When I come back, I want to see you all trained, okay?” When our hero still had his somber face, Tomoko came and hugged him. “This isn’t a goodbye, okay? Just… ja mata. So, smile!” With that, she kissed him, for the second time, on his cheek. Suddenly, our hero was taken back to the night when he had to leave for the Hidden Glacier, and Yuri-chan was saying her sendoffs to him. Finally, our hero pulled away, and told the young, beautiful shrine maiden, “You’re right Tomoko. It’s just ja mata… I guess, I’ll see you later then, okay?” And with that our hero gathered his resolve and prepared to continue his training with Isais-sensei and Futsu-sama.
