The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

0]Where are we going?]
Nibi had been very curious today, asking Tekishi question after question which would sometimes get a little bit annoying. He disregarded it though as he shuffled through the stone streets of the Hidden Village with their destination firmly in mind. 0]Boy...] The clatter of Tekishi's feet on the stone hurrying through the small, broken streams of people before him echo'ed off the empty streets. 0]I said boy!] {Boy isn't my name you idiot!} 0]Well you act like everyone but yourself else can hear me, which you know is not true!]
Tekishi shook his head with growing frustration as he rolled underneath a crate that was being carried between two men right in front of his path. As he came out of the roll and to his feet he jumped on to the sign hanging out from the house, the sign bore their family insignia and nothing more, then to the rooftop. His last bound had placed him on top of the Village walls that looked down into the Onozuka River.
Their voices synchronized in relief: {[Ahh]}.The mist that had come off the river so many meters down below still reached up and over the highest point of the village walls. The feeling of the mist touching his skin which had heated up from his run was euphoric. ]Is this where you wanted to bring me?] {I really want to go further...} ]Jump on in and kill yourself.] He knew he, as only a Genin, was not supposed to go over the walls. Tekishi had wished he knew what it would take for the Nibi to stop wishing for him to kill himself.
{[color=#003399]It wasn't my choice to have you sealed inside of me...you damn demon.} ]I wish I...] {Shut up! You're ruining my concentration.}

It was one of those normal days in Shippuugakure, Ren was on her way to the mission area, it wasn't a hot day but it was a little humid. Fortunately for her, she wore clothes more revealing than most girls, so it was felt very good to her- all the warm wind and mild sunlight, to her it was a perfect day. Her clothes were intentionally somewhat revealing because of her preferred fighting style, her body was fairly more gifted than most and she used that to her advantage quite often.
She was walking down on the streets of Shiippuugakure as she passed a strange house with a logo she was not familiar with; even more strange was the man who was standing atop the walls nearby, he was enjoying the moisture but he also seemed to be struggling with someone... was he a jumper? Hey! You up there! Are you okay? You're not going to jump are you? She stood there to wait for his initial reaction, if it was questionable, she would do her best to remove him from the wall without being aggressive enough to force him into jumping. What could be so wrong that someone wanted to jump and plunge to their deaths, Ren had no idea. Word count- 211

"Hey! You up there! Are you okay? You're not going to jump are you?" --- The voice pierced through everything. It had felt as though for the first time he had been noticed, recognized. Nobody seemed to pay attention to Tekishi and despite his lovable ways, this demon inside of him had made him very unpleasant. As he turned his head towards the left to look over his shoulder and see who had addressed him a large gust of wind swooped in hard from behind him, tipping him forward.
"Woahh!!!" He yelled, frantically spinning his arms forward in large circles to push the air in front of him so he could lean back and regain his footing. It hadn't worked. The moisture from the mist had made it difficult for him to regain his footing and down he went. Flipping his top-end weight over his feet he was able to quickly manuever and catch himself on the lip of the wall, his fingers digging into the cement holding on for dear life. [Mwuahahaha! Childish boy! You can't even keep your balance. There is no way you'll become a great shinobi. You won't be able to control a degree of the power that I hold!]
Shaking his head to give him a momentary reprieve from the voice that nagged at him, knowing the demon inside was hopeful of his death, he focused on retaining his life. "Some-one....help...me!!!!!"

Oopps! There he went, her voice had startled him enough to make him jump without hesitation; now she would have to quickly get to him before he could plummet to his death. Several quick handseals happened in an instance, she had practiced her jutsu often and was proficient with them. She leapt into the air and released a large gust of wind from her mouth, she had pivoted her body to have the gust of wind blow her upwards and over the wall at a very high speed. She released the chakra flow to the jutsu and closed her mouth as she used the trajectory to land on the wall right above where Tekishi was hanging onto the cement. Just wait, I'll pull you up!
She knelt down and noted that the man was hanging on for dear life, maybe he had changed his mind about the suicide jump halfway down? She grabbed ahold of his arm and began to pull as she used her knees to cling to the wall and the overhang so she wouldn't fall. She wasn't a super strong genin, but she had a fair amount of resolve... and she wouldn't let this guy fall. Not today at least, but if he tried it again tomorrow, she might look the other way. [How pathetic! little boy such as yourself had to be saves by a girl!] the demonic laughter echoed throughout his skull again just as he turned and settled onto the wall in his seated position. The view of the scene from the horizontal angle had the woman who saved him nearest to the camera and Tekishi on her right. His left hand came up towards his face half covering it in shame but more so trying to clear his mind so he could focus on the proceeding conversation with his savior.
"Th..tha..thank you," he muttered under his breathe, the rhythmic crashing of the waves at the base of the wall beneath them drowned out much of the noise that was spoken in anything other than a yell. His right hand was gripping the interior ledge of the wall: the side that led down into the village. The wind continued to flow freely back and forth over the wall; however, now Tekishi was prepared. His left hand followed suit of his right and gripped the interior of the wall allowing him to angle his head to the left, sliding his chin up and towards his right shoulder. For the first time he had gotten a good look at the woman who saved him.
[Oooo...busty little hermit crab isn't she?] {She is attractive and strong but that's no way to...} [Awh hush you damn virgin. I used to be king of the river that almost just claimed your life and I had all the soft shell babes at my disposal. Maybe if you would put the thing between your legs to good use it would make you a better fighter!] Demonic laughter once more. His blue bangs couldn't hide neither the moisture that covered his face, a mixture of perspiration and mist from the river, nor the wildly determined look mixed with a hint of struggle in his eyes. He spoke a few inaudible lines to the woman asking basic information but it was clear they would have to continue this greeting in a safer place.

For a long moment, Ren thought she might actually drop this man and he would die; but after a long struggle, both of them were fully on top of the wall again and out of immediate danger. He thanked her as she helped pull him up and now both of them were sitting on the wall top and breathing heavily and allowing their hearts to slow down from the adrenaline. Of course, you are welcome! Why did you even want to jump in the first place?
It wasn't really a good idea to ask a jumped why they had jumped, but it was in her nature to berate people who acted foolishly. She stood up and leaned over him as he sat on the ground, a bit of her cleavage was right in his face as she wagged a finger at him and continued to verbally abuse him as to reasons why he shouldn't kill himself. It was a good question she had asked him, one that he had not even cared to think about entirely before he had climbed the wall. “Uhm, to be honest… I just wanted to feel the mist…” He blushed when he answered her, feeling a little ashamed of his foolish ways really not thinking before hand how dangerous it was. [Man she has a rack…] {That…we can agree on.} The Nibi no Kuni chuckled, finding the truth in his jinchuuriki’s statement for once.
He smiled at her, large wide and genuine. His blue tufts of hair had bounced softly from one side to the other as he tried so devilishly hard to look at anything BUT her cleavage. He slid a little bit away from her, and got his bearings about him then pulled himself up to his feet. “What is your name? I’m Koten Tekishijin, heir from the lineage of the Great Healer Koten, before this village was even a village. Not that that makes me feel special or anything, just formalities…”
[You’re a Koten?] {I thought you knew that…} [No. I only know what is spoken to me. During those days the separate clansmen would come into the river and try to bother me, when I was in my more docile, leave me alone type of mood. I hid very well mostly because I didn’t want to utterly ravage them but when I did and injured them really well. The skilled hunters who found me always came back for more, and their previous wounds were always all well treated.] {Is that a compliment?} [Not for you, but for your lineage. From what I’ve seen of you so far boy the skillset probably skipped you hahahaha.]
The Nibi no Kuni laugh boomed in his head loudly, making him draw his hand up to his head and squint his eyes as if reacting to some sharp head pain. He took a few steps back then looked over the wall again down to the depths of the River which couldn’t clearly be seen through the mist. If he or anyone where to jump they would be jumping into a grey abyss, ignorant of if they would land in the clear waters of the Onozuka River or a rock facing along the wall. “I think we should get down from here, I can feel another storm coming.”

Only wanted some fresh air? Ren suddenly felt a bit stupid for automatically assuming he was trying to commit suicide by jumping off the wall into the waters below. She paused mid-speech in her verbal abuse to him and blushed deeply as she felt like a fool. This guy was a bit careless it seemed, but he was from a great linage apparently, his name sounded quite noble.
Oh! I'm sorry, I assumed you were just trying to commit suicide. Umm~ My name is Ren'Ai Uchiha. The odea of this careless boy being a future medic-nin was a bit of a curious aspect that Ren didn't really want to think too hard on, hopefully he would be more careful in the future.
She stood up straight and offered him a hand to help him to his feet and then looked down safely to the ground and made her way to the ground. She dusted herself off and looked up at tekishi as he would make his way down... Tekishi, she had heard of his name somewhere before- but from where? She felt like she had heard his name before in some important discussion recently, but she couldn't remember where exactly. It would probably come to her eventually, maybe she could ask him. Hmm I'm pretty sure have heard of your name before, not just from your lineage either. Word count- 228

"I do not know where else you would've heard my name, I'm nobody of importance other than having the name of a Koten." He quickly diffused the situation by falling back on how he actually felt inside. It was still quite a mystery to him how much power he had held within him due to this demon being sealed inside of him. [Lies!] {Hush it...}
He dropped his hand from his head as the silence ensued his mental conversation with the demon. The pain that was there beginning to subside only for a moment. [Why didn't you tell her you're the two tailed jinchuuriki? Why didn't you tell her that you have so much power inside of you?] {Because I don't, and I don't particularly care either. You're out of control and just like you said... I will never be able to master you.} [You really believe that?] The Nibi no Kani had stated it with a tone of amazement, not really knowing how much his words had made an impact on the seventeen year old youth. {Why would I not?} The Nibi no Kani hissed at Tekishijin as if he had, for once, nothing at all to say. Tekishijin, being only a child and not the best judge of character, had not thought much about it and turned his focus back on to the woman who had introduced herself to him.
"Uchiha Rena'i...it is a pleasure to meet you. Unfortunately, not to say that I shouldn't have or anything... I haven't heard of your name before. That doesn't discredit you in anyway as a strong woman. Are you... a kunoichi?"
Subject: Re: A Day by the River Tue May 27, 2014 11:13 pm
It was probably just a curious coincidence, maybe she had heard someone else's name that sounded familiar and had replaced him with the recent memory. Regardless, he was an interesting guy and seemed in deep thought often- Ren had a way of watching people and noticing the slightest things about them. Tekishi had a way of becoming an inner-self to subdue some type of conflict within his soul. Possibly he was fighting over guilt? Or maybe it was the weight of his families lineage that he didn't want forced onto him?
I am a kunoichi, a Genin Uchiha to be precise. I plan to make it big for myself and become someone respectable enough to even prevent wars from happening. She had said too much, most people scoffed at the idea of her suppressing any wars before they happened: still, that was her dream- and if it did happen, she wanted to be the tip of the spear to keep her Uchiha clan from becoming the bloody shield of her village.
I don't doubt you haven't heard of my name, I'm just a simple ordinary Uchiha girl, I've done nothing worthy of praise. Hmm, Tekishi seemed like a good person and Ren didn't want to forget the fellow Genin, if he was a Genin... which he seemed to be from all his carelessness. Hey Tekishi.... will you fight me? I want to assess your skills and see if you're someone worthy of helping me, if you're okay with that. I know you probably have desires of your own, but I want to know I have dependable people I can count on in the future.
It was a bit sudden and awkwardly asked in this situation here she had just recently helped him live through a blunder of nearly falling to his death. Though she had been somewhat at fault for that as well when she had started him at yelling at him. She looked around and found a clear section of the wall further up ahead, it was a large square flat surfaced stone section of the wall meant for gatherings of crowds- no one was there or had been there for a while. It was the perfect timing for a spar between two fellow Shinobi. Word count- 376

“A normal Uchiha girl?” This statement had made Tekishi chuckle, knowing for himself that nothing in his life -- nothing -- was normal. [Bah, this one I would watch out for. She is one of those damn Uchiha!] {What is so special about them?} The Nibi no Kuni growled and his presence seemingly faded away which had felt like the pressure from a headache receding into the ether. His eyes had brightened up and his demeanor had seemed to receive an encouraging gust of wind, like a freshly set sail’s first lift. Conservation of momentum had pushed the spirits of Tekishijin up and forward.
“I don’t tend to meet normal people,” he continued. As they brushed through the crowds of the true normal people, faces all of various light intensities determined by their emotion and mental demeanor. “These people around us are the normal ones. Just by use being both Genin and devoted to protecting the village we are bit extraordinary in that regard.”
There was a type of stage off to the right where the wall had broken off. Then the question of whether if Tekishijin would like to spar with the Uchiha or not had come and the excited energy that Tekishi was buoyant on at the moment had dropped into a stomach nervousness -- what others would recognize as butterflies. He walked over to the stone surface, looking across it he identified large chunks and chinks in the stone, permanent markings of the ’spars,’ that had taken place here. Turning back to face Rena’i he wanted to finish his thought before answering her request. “Being worthy of praise is relative. I praise you for saving me from my own foolish self back there!” He smiled then turned back towards the stone stage of sorts. Lifting himself up and onto it, he turned back towards Rena’i and held out his hand to assist her up. “I will be more than glad to spar with you -- it’ll be my first chance to see my own skills in a real live situation.”
He overlooked the part of her statement that was made mention of his own goals and plans for the future because he hadn't entirely wanted to think about it. It made him remember all of the things he had to one day decide to follow or go against in regards to his family lineage. “I hope that we both can rely on each other, after all, we are both from Shippugakure no Sato.” He stretched his arms out, rotating them as he backed up putting space between the two of them. His hands began to sweat a little bit and he had taken notice of the few small children that ran eagerly to the side of the stage looking up and onward in excitement.
[Conditions seem to be perfect for my suiton. My katon element may be hampered by the moisture in this village though.] He still had felt the lack of the Nibi no Kuni’s presence, which had given him a false sense of belief in himself that he could do win this thing without his help.
Subject: Re: A Day by the River Fri May 30, 2014 6:04 am
It was true enough, shinobi were considered exceptional compared to others such as civilians and merchants: shinobi devoted their lives to protect the peace of their village and give the villager's hope for the future and cherish their pasts. Tekishi had a way with words it seemed, he had a unique way of being neutral in regards but also giving credit where it was due without making anyone feel more important or even left out. You say the word "normal uchiha girl" as if it was incredulous... is it that hard to believe an Uchiha girl can be "normal"? Normal is so over-rated anyways.
Ren wasn't someone who quickly got angry, but disrespect was a sure-fire way to get her in that direction: Tekishi probably hadn't meant any disrespect, but he had inadvertently stereotyped her as one of those dangerous and unpredictably wild Uchiha, who of which were not "normal" of course. Both of those lines of reasoning were things that particularly urked her, disrespect and judging her clan by knowledge obtained by others or even just stereotyping them because of experiences with a handful of Uchiha.
I'm sure you didn't mean in harm in the way you asked, but I felt like you were judging me and my clan just now... and that is something that upsets me quickly even though I am a cheerful and easy-going person. If he had meant to offend her, she would correct his attitude in their spar: if not, she would surely try to impress him and lighten his subconscious viewpoint he held about her clan. Her clan was special to her after all, and it was her sole reason for protecting Shippugakure, the village the Uchiha's resided in.
Luckily enough, he had wanted to spar with her as well and that made her asking to fight a little less awkward. Truly she wanted to know she could reply on Tekishi, being of an important medical jutsu family name and all, but more so as a fellow shinobi rather than basing her assessment solely off the importance of his last name. Ren followed soon and jumped onto the thick rock-based stage as well and began to perform a few stretches, all of which were a bit lewd considering her choice of clothing. She spread her legs and bent at the waist and touched both hands flatly on the ground- this showing that she was very flexible but also stretching her back muscles and loosening them for a good friendly spar. She performed a few other stretches before she took up her position a few feet away from Tekishi. Being a medical nin, I hope you are able to heal moderate damage: I have difficulty holding back if I am serious. She was fairly serious at the moment.
It was important for her to properly gauge her comrades abilities and that would never happen if she went easy on them; quite the opposite. If she went easy on them and they beat her, then she wouldn't have gotten a proper assessment of their abilities and weakness: nor would the opposite be true for how hey viewed her. Simple sparring with the intent of not hurting each other was child's play and not real sparring. Word count-540

[I thought she would come rushing in at me, but apparently not.] Her words had made him feel bad, and he had known that how she received what he said was received in the wrong way. “No!!! I just have never met an Uchiha -- ever -- although this is the village you all are native too.” His hands and his defenses had dropped slightly as he started walking towards her shaking his hands from the left to the right as his head followed the same motion. “I really just met that I don’t meet normal people, so if you are, then maybe we weren't meant to teammates in our growth together.”
He had closed about half the distance between herself and him and as she had taken up her position. As a Koten, he was naturally more of a defensive minded and counter attacker more than anything else. “I can’t wait to see what you can do! I hope we don’t disappoint each other.” He spun as the last sentence escaped his lips, his fingers drawing on a couple kunai. One which he had released towards her abdomen that he pushed a little to his left, anticipating and hoping that her dodge attempt would be to the right, moving herself to center into its path.
His head had still felt clear and there wasn't a sign of the Nibi no Kuni in sight, although Tekishijin had known that he was watching. [I’ll show you just how worthy of being your jinchuuriki I am,] he thought to himself, the words going first out into the space, the space eating the words rather than returning them as normal.

(OOC: Note that as a Genin, you start out with 1 Kunai & 3 Shurriken, so I'm going to go off the premise that you threw a shurriken instead and are still holding the Kunai.
Normal was overrated anyways, Ren was just Ren and Tekishi was just Tekishi, even if he had been careless enough to nearly fall to his death. She understood that he meant no ill-will to her or her clan, so she dropped it and wasn't bothered by it anymore. He was clear in clarifying his reasoning and even made sure to apologize once he realized he had offended her. I know that you didn't mean to offend me now, so I'm not bothered by it anymore.
He had started to take up a defensive stance and waited, Ren wasn't really much of a defensive person... but she wanted to test Tekishi's patience. She just stood there seemingly defenseless as he carefully maneuvered closer to her until he had covered half the distance. He expressed his desire to see how well she could hold her own against him and sudden spun a complete circle. The circle was unnecessary, it just forewarned Ren that he was planning something. She tensed up and expected an attack, he pulled his shurriken from his pouch and throwing it at her.
The throw was accurate in aiming for her abdomen, her body tensed and the shurriken dug into her skin: a gust of wind blew some leaves past as the weapon clothes the distance. The problem was that she had pedaled backwards and tripped. The kunai digging deep into her throat as she tripped backwards and a deep red line splurged out as she grabbed her neck and gurgled in her own blood. She fell on the ground and thrashed about, vainly trying to stop the blood flow from her neck, her legs kicked against the stone floor and she spat blood several times.
In reality, Ren had evaded to the right and directly in line with Tekishi as she evaded his shurriken throw; she had performed handseals as she dodged and performed a low level Genjutsu on him to give her time to close the distance. She drew a kunai from her own pouch and rushed Tekishi's position, if he remained in the Genjutsu long enough, she would hold the kunai to his neck until he snapped out of it and realized what happened. If he broke free before then by realizing it was a Genjutsu and performing Kai or using pain, she would directly confront him with her kunai.
If he still wanted to keep going after either outcome, she would gladly continue. Word count- 408 Remaining chakra- 80/100

Tcht! The sound of the kunai striking the stone wall lasted for a split second, prying itself into the wall.
His jaw had dropped a little bit as he saw the kunai hit it’s mark, but not the appropriate part of physiology he wanted to hit. There was something disturbing about this as he had anticipated missing, intentionally meant to miss to spur the action to a beginning. Blood began to splurge from her throat, where the kunai had landed, after she had taken a backstep, fell backwards and been unfortunate to get stabbed in the neck. It appeared to be odd, but was enough of a believable mistake he quickly ran forward to the side of the fallen Ren’ai within the genjutsu -- yet in reality running forward past Ren’ai. He had reached immediately for the kunai to pull it out of her throat knowing the appropriate medical procedure to begin to save her but his hand grasped at and physically felt nothing. {That noise…} he thought of the sound he heard just before seeing the image of the kunai striking Uchiha Ren’ai in the throat; {...this…} he looked over at the wall and saw nothing, identifying a sensory conflict between sight and sound. {this must be a genjutsu…}
With the kunai he held in his left hand he quickly made a small cut in the palm of his right hand. The genjutsu broke. Looking around to see his position on the stone stage he had quickly obtained his bearings. The first kunai that was thrown was stuck in the side of the wall that dipped in to make room for the stone stage but the wall was not close enough to quickly grasp to return it to his arsenal. Off to his right there was the real Ren’ai who was still alive and now armed with her own kunai. The crowd at the foot of the stage was also perplexed as to the unusual course of actions that Tekishijin had made after throwing his kunai and unfortunately, their presence made it slightly more difficult to get to the first kunai of three that he had thrown.
In rapid succession, as he knew Ren’ai would remain on the move, he sheathed the kunai he held in his hand while lifting his heels pushing all of his force down onto his toes before extending and letting the energy propel him up into the air. As he was airborne he made a series of handseals, summoning the katon chakra into his hands as he acrobatically flipped over the crowd. Just before he landed on the kunai lodged into the wall he drew his remaining two kunai.
The land was graceful, more graceful than he thought it would be, as he fluidly dipped his body to distribute the force evenly and pushed off the kunai to send him back into the air. He pumped his fists at Ren’ai pushing off fireball after fireball until he had sent about six towards her. The seventh and eighth fireball he released were hiding the kunai’s, followed by the last two fireballs to total ten. He had gone for only flesh wounds that would limit her mobility if they hit, targeting her limbs and hip rather than her head or vital organs in her abdomen. Each one was sent in a different direction attempting to cover all the areas she could dodge to. Each fireball hissed as it whirled through the air evaporating the mist that was in each fireballs trajectory.
As he fell from the air back to the stone stage he looked up to see if he landed anything, prepared to counter or dodge if he missed everything. The Mesu technique required no hand seals to initiate, so he was prepared to expend the chakra for it if she charged at him with the kunai. The hiss of the mist evaporating also came from his hands as they were cooling down from the use of the katon element.

It seemed to Ren, that Tekishi had the intention of rushing to her dying prone form on the ground and offering some kind of aid. He had ran right past her while in his tranced Genjutsu state, if it had been a death match, Ren could have ended the conflict right then and there. She didn't want to kill him though, not purposefully wound him greatly- small wounds and burns were nothing but pain and inconveniences, a medic nin from the village could easily remedy minor damage a genin could do.
Tekishi had lowered his form and was going through the motions of pulling the weapon from her throat in the Genjutsu and assessing the damage- that was when he visually showed confusion and double checked himself: he had realized he was trapped in a Genjutsu. he cut his hand with his weapon and caused the pain to force him to snap out of it. He realized how vulnerable he was on her left side, Ren shifted her body to the side to fully face him.
He wasn't finished however, quickly vaulting backwards while performing handseals: he was performing a jutsu now and Ren wouldn't let him get the upper hand so easily right after he had broke free from her Genjutsu. She took a couple steps back as she performed her own handseals. His jutsu was a well known katon jutsu of the Uchihas, likely projectiles were hidden in some or all of the fireballs, but Ren didn't have the time to try and guess which fireballs if any could have weapons in them.
Ren opened her mouth as she had finished her handseals as Tekishi had landed on his feet; as the small fireballs rocketed towards her, she released a roar of flames from her mouth- spewing a giant fireball ten feet in diameter from in front of her to collide with the small fireballs and push past in the direction of Tekishi. His two kunais were flushed out after losing their fiery concealment, but they still past through the large fireballs unhindered. The first projectile was off the mark as she had back stepped a few paces to allow herself adequate time to cast her own jutsu. The second projectile grazed her upper left forearm and gave her a small laceration: she winced in pain but wasn't too worried about it- a simple look down told her that the heated kunai from the fire had cut her but had also cauterized her laceration. Tekishi had expected her to be faster than she was for some reason. Not to say that both of them weren’t already moving at a moderate pace, but since they had the same speed relatively, it was easier for Tekishijin to read and react just as it was easy for Ren’ai to read and react to him. It was apparent that the crowd was keeping up with their movements as well so it wasn’t like they were moving at a blindingly fast pace either.
Just as soon as Tekishijin had landed she was finishing her handseals and there it was. A massive, stone singing fireball spewed forth from her mouth engulfing his own petty fireballs in comparison. {Holy…} His reaction was the single hand seal that would propel him almost instantaneously behind his opponent -- at the time -- but soon to be partner in crime -- in the future. With the singular focus of winning the sparring match to show his worth to the Uchiha who was quite the adversary so far, he went to the quickest and most powerful technique he had so far. He had known his arsenal of jutsu’s very well so far and as of the moment it contained a lot of preliminary techniques that would be combined to set up future combinations he would create. For instance, if he had already developed and purchased the necessary ingredients for his poison that would have incapacitated the limb or closest vital organ that was struck, Ren’ai would currently be down to one arm; however, that was neither here nor there.
The Shunshin no Jutsu placed him a little less than two feet away from Ren’ai and his body was still in a similar low crouch to when he landed from the launch of his last attack. His left foot was planted firmly forward bent at the knee and his right leg was extended back and balancing him on his toes, his abdomen tense to increase the torque that would propel his punch forward. The chakra he gathered took little time to formulate in his right hand still with the heated aspect of the katon element that this battle had been filled with. A cantaloupe colored aura of chakra had formed around his hand as he punched Ren’ai in the back of the thigh, a very precise punch because he knew the extent of the damage that could be caused, and wanted to avoid that at all costs. He punched her towards the outer part of her thigh on her right leg so as to miss the bone and the largest veins and arteries of the body that pumped through the legs. If he were to hit the Great saphenous vein which started right underneath the pelvic bone, or the femoral artery that ran right alongside it, although the damage wouldn’t be visible due to the nature of the chakra scalpel, the internal bleeding would be immense - much more than just a minor injury.
After the punch to the outer part of the thigh, seeking to gain an advantage in the spar by limiting her movement, he pulled his arm back and in one swift movement twisted his abdomen back towards the left pulling his right leg forward with a small skip just to re-position his feet. Once he found the stability he swept his left leg along around the ground until it came full circle to crash against Rena'i's ankle. A punch in the right leg to weaken her stability and mobility with the chakra scalpel and a sweep to the ankle of the same leg would hopefully weaken the foundation of the foot enough to collapse her bodies weight enough to that weakened side to get her to make her stumble or fall, Tekishijin had hoped for the latter.
If both of the attacks landed Tekishijin would resume a prepared fighting stance, deactivating the chakra scalpel as to preserve the remainder of his chakra, waiting to see if he had put enough force into the sweep to send her to the ground due to the strike to her leg just before, creating it so that she would not be able to support her body weight. The onset of fatigue was beginning to rise above the horizon which he compared to as the limits of his body. If anything, since he had used up some of the techniques he wouldn't be able to utilize again for the remainder of the match, this may turn into hand to hand combat.
The emptiness in his head was due to the clarity and current observation of the tailed beast. The Nibi no Kuni was always watching.

Name: Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: D Element: Non-Elemental Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) - Medium (0~10m) Duration: n/a Cooldown: n/a Description: This jutsu requires one hand seal. This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. (Once per topic)
Name: Mesu: Chakra Scalpel メス Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: D Element: Non-Elemental Type: Ijutsu Range: Physical Contact Description: A more advanced medical jutsu that is used as a blade during surgery, so the skin does not have to be cut, and surgery can be performed simply without having to wait for external wounds to heal after the procedure is over. Used for surgical procedures, however this can be used in battle also. When their charged hands reach the body of their target, they can extend the chakra internally into the targets body to cut and neatly slice their muscles and blood vessels without harming the surface skin. This technique can be used in battle, but because of its hectic nature, the fine precision required for an instant kill is not feasible. Damage can still be done to the vital organs, but the technique should be used carefully in battle. The technique uses 10 chakra points per post for a maximum of 10 posts (maximum normally used for medical procedures).

The issue is that how you pulled off the kick leads into advanced martial arts- AKA Taijutsu; a Specialization you lack, so performing a high-skilled technique like this isn't possible for you. A kick itself is fine or even a jump kick, but not a combo like this. I'll finish/edit my WIP post after you edit your post. Sorry for the inconvenience.)
WIP post:
Automatically she had brought her hand up to her left forearm to suppress the pain from the cauterized laceration: it wasn't deep, mostly just startled her between the cut and small degree burn. Her eyes drifted back instantly to where she had released her fireball, Tekishi's fireballs had been nullified and her large fireball had just hit the far end of the sparring ground and exploded- a fair chunk of rock was missing from the rock wall. The problem was that it had hit the far wall... her intention was not to completely obliterate Tekishi, but to make him unable to continue fighting- somehow he had managed to evade her technique completely.
He hadn't been in the immediate area on a quick inspection, no where near the previously cast fireball or explosion. Since that was the case and he was nowhere in her immediate sight, her body tensed up as she figured there was only one place he could be; conventionally anyways. A sudden sharp pain in her left thigh confirmed her suspicions; her body flinched and shied away from the sensation of pain as she leapt to the side to reface her foe. She babied the left thigh from the burning sensation in her outer muscles as she faced her opponent again, he had already retreated into an aerial jump and roundhouse kick aimed at her head.

His kick did little but sting her foot as she had already shifted her weight to the other leg- she lifted her foot off the ground slightly as he had kicked and let the momentum pass through her and carry his kick farther than he might have intended.
Hand-to-hand combat was not her area of expertise, but she knew enough to match any regular human; she preferred the mind however, that was where she dominated others. She performed some quick handseals as she dashed back two steps: six clones appeared beside her, three on each side. they paused for a moment and then performed the exact same movements as they ran a full circle around Tekishi to confuse and entrap him. The real Ren was directly on his left but out of his immediate reach, just like the other six. The trick was to make Tekishi think it was a Kage Bushin no Jutsu, but only the real her was physical and could harm him.
All seven of her would rush Tekishi at once and aim to hit him on his left ribs: the "her" in front of Tekishi went for a straight left jab to his ribs as the "her" from behind performed a side-kick. The real her kicked straight out at his ribs and the "her" on the right side attempted to kick across his belly to his ribs. The remaining three ran in a half circle and stood just out of reach to swap out with the real her and the rest. Word count- 489 Chakra- 50/100

{Yes,} he thought to himself as his punch had landed on the left thigh of his opponent at the moment. Their spar had seemed far more intense than Tekishijin had originally thought it would be. Ren’ai was far more serious than he thought she would be, and in return he had to match her intensity and seriousness or he could end up hurt.
Something had happened that his sweep had not did as he intended to, either it was just not enough force behind the kick or if because of her steps backwards what force was generated wasn’t enough because the length it had to travel and upon reaching there it didn’t cause the desired effect.
Either way, Tekishijin was now at some distance from the retreated Rena’i and had seemingly been given the next move. He had very well seen her make hand seals in rapid succession but then nothing happened, she sort of just drifted off to his left some more. [What in the world is she doing?] Tekishijin had looked around for a moment attempting to see if there was another genjutsu that was effecting his surroundings but there was nothing. The people in the crowd still looked onward with their eager faces. {I have no idea but I’m not going to sit around and wait to see!}
Tekishijin had performed a few hand seals of his own sending his chakra out into the atmosphere around him to perform the Hidden Mist Jutsu which quickly began to cloud the entire area with a very dense mist. Since the area was already small to begin it, being a sparring stage and not one utilized for tournaments or the sort the mist had seemed to be denser than normal.
{Cool technique,} Tekishijin thought to himself as he proceeded to perform a few more hand seals despite the fact that he knew this would use up a large portion of the remainder of his chakra. Six water clones would be pushed out of his body, three on either side. For now five would begin running through the mist to cause additional confusion for Ren’ai up until Tekishijin had ordered them to do something different. The last remaining clone was sent to recover the kunai that were left scattered throughout the stone stage.
Tekishijin was focusing intently on the matter at hand, now directing his clones to rush Rena’i and restrict all of her limbs. In what time it had taken for Tekishijin to order them to do this and for them to carry out the order he performed the hand seals for his next technique. “Fukasu no jutsu!” The area of effect that the jutsu targeted was a small space and was best utilized against stationary targets which is why the clones were ordered to secure her in one place. The majority of the chakra was focused at the bottom half of Rena’i’s person but she would still feel the burning sensation all over if she was unable to avoid the grasp of the clones and move out of that immediate area.

After performing a few hand seals, he focuses his chakra into the oxygen and hydrogen particles surrounding his opponent (can be entire body or a particular body part) and then heats it up, creating a burning steam. The focus of the chakra is stationary; therefore, a moving target is much harder to hit with this technique. 5 chakra per use. Steam causes first degree burn.

They had seemed to be at a standoff for a short period of time, each were a fair distance away from each other as Tekishi began to perform handseals. Ren was unsure what he was planning, but a thick mist began to envelope the area and she knew somewhat of his intended goal; he was obscuring her vision to perform some tricky maneuver as well as to keep her from using visual Genjutsu on him! Smart boy, Ren hadn't actually considered him using smething like this... but now he had and she needed a quick counter before he could get a decisive win.
She lowered her stance a bit for defensive measures and listened intently to hear Tekishi's position in the mist: his jutsu was a double-edged sword, he wouldn't be able to see her well, and she wouldn't be able to see him well. It was a cautious game of cat and mouse, the victor was whoever managed to get the upper hand. She was half-tempted to use another Katon jutsu and evaporate the mist, but that would reveal her position too well and leave her with no counter to Tekishi's assault. She would have to improvise, but she was unsure how yet.
Suddenly she heard footsteps near her, she turned her head and tensed her body as a shadow dashed past her on her left. She had almost chased after it when she heard more footsteps and a shadow dashed past her on her right, she turned her head the other way. Two shadows passed in front of her and went around on both sides and then began to circle back; almost as if they were all circling her to get the best position for a strike. A clone technique? He's doing something very tricky in the mist; the question is, is this Bushin no Jutsu... or is this a water clone?
The clones were too surely be one of the two, given Tekishi himself was just a Genin- it seemed more probable that he wouldn't know Water Clone Jutsu. Still, even if the others were mere Bushin clones, he could still be hiding within their numbers and disguise his attack with any of them- pretty much the same thing she had intended to do to him earlier. She figured she could use Mist Blaze and blow the whole place up, but that was a fairly advanced jutsu and could kill both her and Tekishi if they were in the center of the explosion. Being that she had no cover like an overhanging shelf, a low rising wall or anything like that near her.... blowing the place up didn't seem like a good idea. If this were a real fight to the death, she would have done it in a heartbeat and figured out something.
It was a good move on Tekishi's part, obscuring her vision and moving about stealthily; she assumed. The best thing she could do was move from her stationary position where he had known her to be last, but if she moved, she would surely give away her position within the mist. Too late. Suddenly five shadows in the mist rushed her with abandon and their numbers overwhelmed her, surely one of them was the real one? Five! I only counted four before, does that mean Tekishi is one of these? She hesitated at their number of them and suddenly found them attached to her limbs, effectively pinning her in place. She recognized this much at least, neither of these four were the real Tekishi! They were merely decoys and effective means to hold her in place as he performed some attack that would surely prove his victory.
She struggled to free herself from their weight, but she couldn't dispose of four bodies at once, especially when both of her arms and legs were being held tightly. She knew what to do then, she hadn't prepared any substitution or anything and couldn't perform handseals right away. None of these were Bushin clones, so either they were shadow clones... which was very unlikely, then the only real assumption she had was that they were water clones.. impressive at the least! Now being certain the real Tekishi wasn't pinning her down, or at least she hoped, she waved her hands several times; sure she couldn't move her arms, but her hands were free at the joints to move and perform the necessary movements.
The fog nearest her began to thicken and take on a spectral form as five blades of wind suddenly appeared behind her five attackers. The air around Ren started to get hotter, a lot hotter- unnaturally hot even, she could feel her clothes heating up and her body beginning to sweat... Tekishi was performing some weird jutsu from a distance! She gritted her teeth as the temperature kept rising, with a final wave of he hands, the five blades of wind sliced right through the water clones pinning her down and curved upwards and gathered right above Ren's head. The five blades fused and formed a rather large blade of wind that began to suck in the Hidden Mist.
The area enveloped by the mist began to lessen as the mist was being drawn into the center where her large blade of wind was sucking it in like a vacuum. The mist had lessened enough that she could see Tekishi's stationary form in the short distance in front of her and likely he had noticed the mist being drawn towards her and could see the swirling misty wind blade above her head. She could feel the hot air around her starting to pain her skin as it stung from the intense heat, she let out a primal raged yell to push past the pain and release her large blade of wind.
The large blade of wind rocketed towards Tekishi, much more visible than it would normally have been, considering it was carrying a large amount of mist with it. The vaccum from releasing the wind from around her into a forwards motion had lessened the heat in her immediate area; she staggered as she felt the soothing temperature of the mist around her, but the lingering effect of the heated temperature was still there. She winced as she dashed away from the area and off to her right(and Tekishi's left) She glanced back at him to see how he would react to the large blade of wind rocketing towards him. She called out in the mist, Don't die on me or we'll never be able to be comrades!
Although it was a risky move, she was fairly certain Tekishi would be able to counter it or at least dodge it with minimal damage if he had spent too much chakra. She looked down at herself and inspected her own body, her legs and belly were a bit red and stung a little when touched by the fresh air- likely a mild burn, she would have to baby it and use some ointment after this match was over. She stood stationary as she watched how Tekishi would react, but she was more cautious and prepared this time; she was charging up for another special jutsu. Word count- 1,200 Remaining chakra- 30/100

The single water clone that was created and instructed to gather the kunai was now the only one that remained. As he ran towards the wall he had first collected the two kunai which where the shortest distance to run. From the two kunai that were used in the Hosenka no Jutsu attack launched on Ren’ai earlier, had tossed the kunai into the hands of the real Tekishijin, who tucked one back into its sleeve and kept the other firmly in his possession. Then he would continue to run all the way to the wall that surrounded the stone stage was just reaching the kunai and apparently was having trouble getting it loose.
{What in the world…} the only thoughts that had come to mind when the mist began to disappear just as methodically as it had appeared. When the mist had been cleared by the wind vacuum which Rena’i created Tekishi was able to clearly see how his clones had been disposed of. As the wind gathered and coalesced into an immediate threat for Tekishijin he hurriedly tucked and rolled off to his right, the left of Ren'ai not only to avoid the scythe but to keep the circle pattern as Ren'ai had moved to her right, Tekishijin's left. He had made himself an easy target by remaining in the same place when the Kiri no jutsu was initiated, but he didn’t know that Ren’ai also had an affinity for the fuuton element and with said ability so easily remove the mist until that had become reality. He thought for now that she would have to relinquish the scythe fuuton jutsu to focus on her next act, unless she could control it to come back and slash at him again.
“When will you concede?”he asked her, seeing that she was just as exhausted, if not more from her injuries, than he was. He was surprised he had gotten through the fight so far with only the cut that he had put on himself to escape from one of her genjutsu’s. {She has used katon, fuuton and genjutsu against me. She hasn’t done much of any physical attacks and I’m not all that good at taijutsu myself…} he thought himself through what had already proceeded in the match and what may still be coming from his opponent. [She is an Uchiha so she more than likely is not finished with the genjutsu…] the Nibi no Kuni intervened. {Right… that is what I’m most afraid of.}
The clone had finally gotten the kunai loosened from the wall and now had it in its possession. {Stay close by and be prepared to cut me with the kunai if I get stuck in another genjutsu and do something weird like last time or become unresponsive.} He thought the command to the clone and ordered it to hide itself in the crowd of onlookers as to not get dispersed by Ren’ai first. He twirled the kunai that he was holding in his right hand out and across his chest a little knowing that he will may have to cut himself again if the clone cannot do it.
“How much longer do you want to go!? You’re hurt and if you let that leg bleed much longer you’ll faint!” He had not spoken a lie, and was genuinely concerned for her but he didn’t want to push the envelope. A spar was supposed to be just that, but it had felt like this had grown more and more serious at every exchange of techniques and counters.
{I wonder what she will do next… I’ve ran out of offensive techniques to use against her, and I do not wish to use any technique she has already seen, it won’t be a surprise to her…} [No matter the element of surprise you insolent fool. Finish her.] The last two words seemed to echo in his head as though this was a fight to the death. Either one of them could kill each other at any point in time, hence his gullibility to the very first genjutsu that she had used against him. He hadn’t known what to expect so he prepared himself by calling on a small amount of his chakra and placed it in his feet just in case she launched a physical attack at him.
“If you’re ready to call it a match, then I am.” The crowd that was still intently set on watching the match started to boo the inclinations of Tekishijin as though they had wanted to see a fight to the death, with no regard to the physical health of the kunoichi or shinobi that were sworn to protect their village and them! Tragic is the mind that is enthralled by violence.
