The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Spoiler:
A silent footfall would come down upon the rotting leaves around the seemingly cursed area. The black swamp of Kudamuragakure was the blight in the otherwise seemingly perfect village. But all things were not as they seemed though the swamp itself seemed to be one of the few exceptions to this rule. It was death and everything around it pointed to this single answer alone.
Even the animals of the hidden jungle village came her of their own accord to end their lives, the skeletal remains littered around the swamps edges gave way to a bit of a foreboding essence. The figure would place its hand onto a nearby tree as it would use this to pull itself into the clearing. A white mask covering its face would hide its true identity. The two large swords that covered its back would ensure that any sort of onlooker would know what they would be getting themselves into if a fight were to erupt.
The figure would come a few feet from the water's surface, the mask would turn itself downward as if trying to find some sort of answer over the blackened water's surface.

Few people from the village ventured near the swamp, knowing full well it's ominous nature, a nature quite familiar to the young looking male who even now slowly approached the murky waters. He ignored the small rotting carcasses that littered the swamp, a small price to pay for a little peace and quiet, somewhere he knew very few people ever came. Despite how long he had been living among the Kusamurians he still felt somewhat out of place.
He had come to make acquaintances over this time now, but still his mind would wander back to times long lost, and those whose he once called friends. His melancholy made him feel like he belonged in this desolate place, void of life. The single blade strapped to his back his only company. He moved silently, minus the small sounds as the three metal plates on the three headbands around his neck collided with one another as he walked.
The man jumped onto a nearby fallen tree, balancing on the mossy slick bark. He glanced around, and spotted something unusual. Another person had decided to enter this bleak landscape, and The Gray Maned Wolf decided to give the man a wide berth.

The masked individual slowly let himself crouch down and place his forearms onto his knees, head tilting to the side in a questionable manner. This place in and out of itself was a black stain but yet, it was left alone and to its own to engulf in upon itself. What was more curious was the fact that very little is known of the swamp other than it has a high kill rate for those that would see themselves ingesting it.
It was then that the sound of metal against metal would reach his ears. The figure would slowly turn its attention toward this sound and the one causing it. It would seem that he wasn't the only one to come to this desolate death pool today. This was quite the curious thing indeed as the figure would raise from his crouched posture and turn to face the direction of the other man.
"Well met."
