The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

It was a good day, most like any other for Semasu; the almost carefree happy shinobi had very little that could dampen her days. Her day started out the same, waking up before daylight, exercising to keep her curvaceous body in proper form as well as fit for battle. After a workout she went about the more daily part of her life that had to deal with others, the checked the mission board a couple times throughout the morning to see if any interesting choices had suddenly appeared- nothing exciting yet.
Of the few shinobi she actually talked to, she saw a couple of them, but most were away on missions or personal business. She stayed so busy that she had forgotten to eat breakfast, but she usually forgot breakfast anyways and snacked on donuts in the meantime; today she would do things a little differently. It was good to have a wide variety in diet after all, not that she ever had to worry about diet or bad food. Her volatile chakra kept her from getting fat or eating too much.
Hmmm What do I want to eat today?
A couple people glanced in her direction as she spoke out loud to herself, she paid them little attention and looked around for somewhere close by where she could buy a meal. Her eyes lingered over the few men who happened to have more than a casual glance at her, her facial expression was enough to make them blanch. Whether they knew she was of the Rankujo clan or not, Semasu didn't know...but women from Tsukigakure had a tendency to be violent yet passionate. A well earned reputation, which for the most part, came from the Rankujo clan itself.
After staring down one older man who didn't seem to take a hint, she noticed that behind him was a restaurant. The place was quite large and had many customers, it wasn't that loud, mostly just cheerful laughter and casual talk from the patrons. She opened the door to the place and walked in, she had never seen this restaurant before and wasn't sure what to expect. Immediately she was greeted by a waitress who guided her to a seat at one of the far corners of the room, she took a small order of Semasu's choice of drink and disappeared. Moments later, another waitress walked by and dropped off a small basket of breadsticks: Semasu grabbed her hand suddenly and the waitresses' eyes went wide as she realized Semasu wanted her attention.
Excuse me... what is this? These breadsticks are small and there are hardly any of them.
The waitress eyed the breadsticks, true enough they looked hard... but there was a decent amount of them in the small basket. She was puzzled at Semasu's inquiry at first, but then a thought hit her as she regarded the "blessed" girl sitting down. A small alarm went off in her head, but she kept her calm and everything suddenly made sense.
Ms. Rankujo, I apologize for the small snack before we get around to taking your order; I'll have the chef make you some fresh breadsticks and bring them out.
Semasu wasn't at all surprised the waitress had deduced that she was of the Rankujo clan, their general appearance was surreal enough to make anyone wonder if they were indeed human. She thanked the woman and settled in her seat, a sudden noise two tabled in front of her caught her attention and instantly annoyed her. Loud boisterous laughter from a bunch of young male shinobi at the table was the cause, it was still early in the day- not even noon yet and they were already partaking in sake; there were at least six men and all were overly indulgent with the sake provided by a waitress who had her butt groped several times by the men.
Semasu could see it was bothering the waitress even though she was trying not to show it, the men just laughed eagerly as they praised their companions' actions. Semasu tapped her fingers forcefully on the hard wooden table in annoyance, the waitress who had gone to fetch her fresh breadsticks came back and stopped short as she saw what Semasu was glaring at. Of all the things in the daily life of the restaurant, nothing was more detrimental to the food shop than an unsatisfied Rankujo clan member. Several of the spots in the restaurant were new, the sudden transmition from old wood to new wood interior was evident enough for any intelligent or knowledgeable person to know that a Rankujo had been the cause of the repairs.
The waitress brought the breadticks, a very large flat basket that supported a mound of fresh and deliciously smelling breadsticks: the site dulled Semasu's annoyance briefly and she thanked the woman despite her annoyance. She picked up a fresh long breadstick and bit into it as she gazed at the waitress's attire; their blouses were meant to be revealing and their skirts were purposed to attract men for the eye candy...still, Semas herself had the urge to at least grab a handful, but she refrained.
One of the men across the two tables saw her fresh and large mound of breadsticks and raised his voice as he stood to get the waitress's attention.
Hey! Where's our breadsticks? We want some fresh ones too!
Semasu turned from gazing at the woman's butt to the ringleader of the obnoxious men, she could see that there were at least three different baskets of breadsticks at that table- plenty for six men who were drinking more alcohol than eating. He was demanding fresh breadsticks even though he and his group still had plenty? She had a feeling what he really wanted, but she watched helplessly as the waitress glanced at her sideways as if in regret of going near the men. She apologized for not bringing them any and moved close to the table to pick up the "dull" breadsticks.
That's alright, lady. Just bring us over the breadsticks from that table you just served and give the ditsy girl these breadsticks, we eat more than her anyways obviously.
As he finished speaking, one of the other meant grabbed the waitress's butt with a firm grip and all the men began to laugh again. She the women enough composure, she wouldn't have been startled and let out a small cry of protest. However her thoughts were trying to keep the situation calm enough to keep the men from being aggressive or to keep Semasu from getting up.
It was too late though, as the ringleader laughed still standing, a breadstick suddenly went flying and lodged itself deep into his mouth. He fell backwards and tripped over his own chair. Down he went and up came his companions, they turned their heads to see who was the dough assailant; Semasu was already standing with two more breadsticks in her hands. The youngest of the men seemed truly bewildered and didn't know how to react, but the other four men instantly became angry in their drunken mood.
luckily, this section of the restaurant was mostly empty of customers, the patrons wished not to be near the drunk men. The table that was between her own and the men's table was empty, it was closer to Semasu: she kicked it suddenly and it flipped off and off to the left side- taking out the two men on the left.
You want some breadsticks, do you?
The youngest man tried to protest, but he had been doing most of the butt-grabbing. Another breadstick was lodged deep into his mouth before the first syllable escaped his lips. The last standing drunk took two exaggerated steps towards her, it was obvious he was so drunk that even walking was difficult. She bit off a good portion of the last breadstick and then threw the other half at the man. He tried to catch it, but his clumsy slow hands missed it badly; it hit him in the forehead and he toppled to the ground in a stupor.
By the time the ringleader of the group managed to pull the breadstick out and not die from choking, his companions had already turned tail and staggered out of the restaurant. He glared at Semasu and spat on the floor, he would be back. He hurried out of the place to go find his friends and convince them to come back and teach the "Babe" a lesson; meanwhile Semasu would probably be enjoying a meal.
She helped the waitress clean up the immediate mess, she righted the flipped table and chairs and cleaned up the food off the floor. The waitress was apologizing the whole time and telling Semasu that she would do it, no need for her to clean it up since she was a customer. Of course Semasu ignored her words until the mess was cleaned and only then did she return to her seat.
She chewed on another breadstick from her mound as the waitress apologized for the incident and explained she would be back after changing clothes from her ruined uniform. Word count- 1,529

It was just another day in Tsukigakure. Sun came up. Everyone crawled out of bed, some more gracefully then others. There would be things that needed to be done, and roles for said people to fill. This was no different for Rael either. She generally had a relatively busy day a head of her. One filled with missions, training, or working in the village hospital. Sure, there were some bumps in the plan a times, or an upset that left her with little to do, but today would not be one of those days. She knew that before she even woke up that morning. Though she was free for the majority of village work, she still had what little chores she had planned. Clean a bit here, pick up a bit there, make a trip to the hospital to check on patients. Pretty basic tasks for the young medic to think about.
Carrying on with the few tasks she had planned, Rael quickly managed to get the chores she had set aside for today done, and rather quickly. It almost disappointed her a little, since it had barely taken up any time at all. The curse of being a hard working and clean shinobi I guess. Regardless, there was very little reason to stay home; especially with it being such a nice day out. Sun was shining, barely and clouds in the sky. Odd, considering she heard that it was suppose to rain today. Mother nature had her own plans though. Being so, Rael shout out on her way to see what she could manage until it would be a good time to visit the hospital.
As she walked through the streets, Rael had managed to kill a good bit of time. Talked to a few merchants, to see about incoming supplies and foods. Had to know these things if one wanted to get the best product after all, especially for making medicine or just enjoying some fresh, new things. Getting to the busier side of the village though would prove to tire the girl out though, not to mention stir up her stomach a bit. With a little rumble, it had brought her attention to the time. It was much later than she thought, though still just mid day. Time for lunch. Luckily for her, she was standing right in front of a restaurant. Rael had heard about it before, yet never actually been inside. From what she heard though, the food was good. As she approached the door though, it burst open all of a sudden, and flying through it was a bunch of drunken young shinobi, probably not much off from her age. They were all in a fuss and were loud and in a way, seemed like they were running away from something. Rael couldn't really know for sure though. They were drunk and crazed after all. Not exactly uncommon among men their age. The real issue came up when they ran into her, pushing her to the side as they quickly stumbled and tripped over themselves, making their way into the streets. "How rude..." she said, muttering just under her breath. It was a bit bothersome running into such men, but they were not her problem, and being so, she continued on into the building.
The place a bit bigger than Rael had thought from the outside. They had plenty of tables, though they didn't seem all too busy for the time of day. That could have been because of the rambunctious drunks who she just had the unpleasantries of bumping into. Despite such, Rael was eager to try the food that the place served, and being so, found herself a place to sit at a table by a window. She seemed a bit to herself in such a location, and the only other person in the restaurant were the waitresses and another women, and a few straggling sitters who were almost done with their meals. Rael didn't pay much attention to them though. After all, she wasn't much of the nosy type, to look in on what others were doing. She just sat patiently and waited for one of the waitresses to assist her. She didn't mind waiting. After all, she had the window to look out of and there was plenty going on within the busy streets.
However, though Rael wasn't much one for looking in on what everyone was doing, people very often watched in on her. She was the Jinchuuriki of the Four Tails after all. The Kururi, and a good number of people knew it. Plenty of people who knew her accepted and liked her, but everyone else tried to keep their distance and just judge her right off the bat. After all, the Kuzuri was a monster of a beast, and it had committed plenty of damage in the past for people to feel negatively towards it, and therefore Rael. The waitresses, now standing more towards the other side of the room, were talking and looking over at her. Muttering back and forth to one another, keeping their distance.
"I think she's the girl, you know, the monster girl." "Really? You know, I think you're right. She fits the description that I've heard of..." "Sh..should we serve her?" "We sort of have to, don't we?" "You be her server then."
The two of them bickered back and forth a bit, before one of them sighed and walked over to Rael, who smiled and just seemed happy to finally get some service. "H-hello, miss. How can I help you today?" The women seemed a bit uneasy about taking Rael's order, which was something Rael, or anyone else for that matter, could pick up on. Rael was used to such reactions though, and really didn't mind.
"Just some water and a cup of coffee please. I ran into some drunks on the way in and after bumping into them, I think I need to sober up a bit now."
Rael laughed a bit, trying to ease the girl a bit with her little joke, while in return the women just bowed and went off to fetch the water and coffee. She didn't seem any more at ease to Rael, but that couldn't really be helped. So she just went back to watching outside the window. A few minutes would pass and the waitress would re-appear with her water and coffee. She set them on the table and then offered Rael a menu, of which she happily took and looked over after thanking the nervous women. Who of which retreated back to her co-worker to talk and sigh some more. Once Rael had decided on what she wanted, she simply closed her menu and waited for the waitress to return to take her order. However, the waitress found an easier way to avoid the situation, which was helping other customers as much as she could. She wanted to avoid Rael after all, as did her co-worker. This went on for several minutes, of which Rael just sipped at her coffee and continued to watch out the window. She wasn't much of an outwardly spoken person, nor did she want to upset the waitress any further. Being so she just continued to wait, hoping that it would be her turn soon to be helped once more. Though her sitting there would continue for several more minutes, with still no assistance. She just remained in her little area though, running her finger along the rim of her now empty coffee cup. Watching out the window with a slightly sullen look on her face. Guess coming to this place wasn't the best idea after all... She thought to herself, sitting in silence as she was ignored by the waitresses.

Had she been forgotten? True enough she was a Rankujo and it was easy for people to try avoiding conflict with her, or anyone else from her clan for that matter. Still, she had run the drunk boys off and stopped them from groping the waitresses... Semasu assumed they would be eager to provide service for her today because the self-control she had expressed when dealing with the trashy shinobis. Semasu sipped from her fresh green tea and glanced around, she had noticed when another person had entered the restaurant, but hadn't paid too much attention because she had still been somewhat brooding over the conflict with the drunks.
So naturally after waiting several minutes for the waitress to return and take her order, Semasu half stood up and looked around. She noticed the waitress sit down a single girl at a table not too far away by a window; then they proceeded to stand together and gossip quietly about the sweet looking girl. Whether they realized they were too loud or not, Semasu couldn't tell... probably they were too excited or fearful to realize how loud they were. She could hear them clearly and from her distance, she assumed the lonely girl had heard them as well. The girl's face didn't change much when she had heard the waitresses talking, it was almost like she expected the reaction from them?
Semasu's temper flared a bit at the idea of shunning such a pretty girl just because she carried such a heavy burden.. didn't they realize that because of this strong quiet girl's burden, they were able to live in relative peace? Until now, Semasu had never taken the trouble or curiosity to acquaint herself with Tsukigakure's Jinchuuriki. It hadn't seemed appropriate to her, what reason did she have to associate with her village's superpower? Still, as she watched this girl now, who appeared to be around her age if but a little younger... Semasu couldn't help herself but to try and socialize.
Normally, making a pass at another women was easy, regardless of knowing their orientation or not. Semasu was not sure how just socializing with the girl would go and she found herself a little nervous. She glanced at the large mound f breadsticks she had been snacking on, there were still plenty left and she was sure the girl couldn't eat too many of them herself without getting full. She glanced back at the waitresses who still stood there gossiping and had all but forgotten Semasu as well. The easiest way to get attention would be to blow a hole in the wall with her bakuton, but she didn't feel like it today; likely the Jinchuuriki girl wouldn't take too kindly to that and leave.
In one swift movement, Semasu stood up, grabbed her tea and breadsticks and walked over to the Jinchuuriki's table. She set the breadsticks down on the far side of the table and centered them as she eyed the Jinchuriki girl; she had been circling the top of her now empty coffee glass and looked like she was just about ready to leave. Not until Semasu made sure the neglected girl was full and Semasu had gotten to good friendly talk out of her. Not only was she a curious person because of her responsibility in the village, but because she was very pretty and quiet, not even bothering to get upset at the neglect she seemed all too accustomed to.
Knowingly or not, right then and there, Semasu promised to herself that she wouldn't let the girl continue to be treated that way. She set her tea down on the table and smiled at Rae as she sat down across from her in the seats.
Hi there! I hope you don't mind me sitting here, I couldn't help but feel lonely when I saw a pretty girl like you sitting all by yourself and being ignored by the waitresses.
Whether or not it came out sounding too forward or rather blunt and brutal, Semasu wasn't even aware; she was accustomed to speaking what was on her mind, especially when she was annoyed or nervous- both of which in this case. She glanced over her shoulder at the waitresses, they had noticed her get up and go sit by the Jinchuuriki. The color went out of their faces and it was apparent; now they couldn't ignore the quiet and self-afflicted girl who accepted the harsh way hey treated her. If they ignored her, then the Rankujo girl would also be ignored and end up blowing up their building.
Semasu turned back and snickered softly to Rael and winked as the waitress that had sat the quiet girl down returned.
Oh I'm so sorry for the wait Miss Rankujo, my friend and I had something to talk about. What can I um.. get for the two of you?
Semasu dropped the point of the intended neglect even though she wanted so badly to retort with something the waitress couldn't deny. She just made a controlled effort to smile and picked up Rael's menu... since she had accidently left hers at her table. She hadn't really decided on anything yet even, she quickly scanned the contents for something delicious.
I don't know what my new friend here wants, but I'll have six orders of your spicy curry and three orders of miso soup...oh and three orders of grilled cheese sandwiches.
She couldn't help it, the waitresses mouth dropped open and her face paled again as she thought about how big the order would be... was this all just for this girl or was she intending to share it with Rael? She wrote it down on her notepad and then took Rael's order reluctantly and set off to the kitchen. Two unusual girls had suddenly met and now their little restaurant was full of tension and suspense.
While they waited, Semasu introduced herself to the quiet girl who probably didn't know what to think of the sudden and drastic change in the situation.
I'm Semasu Rankujo, Special Jounin. What is the pretty quiet girl's name?
Semasu continued to converse with her as she took some fresh breadsticks up and handed one to the girl to snack on while they waited and chatted; she had waited a decent amount of time and was likely famished even though she didn't show it. Semasu continued to eat them herself as she listened to Rael... how glad she was that she had decided to order a very large amount of fresh tasty breadsticks. She wouldn't have been able to share the small basket with Rael after all, she would have already eaten such a small amount by herself before the girl had ever arrived. Word count-1,125

Rael didn't know what to saw or even think. She was a sharp girl, didn't tend to let much past her and was pretty quick to taking to a situation, but this, this was just too much for her to gauge and understand all at once. She was embarrassed, flattered, uneasy, and even a bit happy. Such a weird mix of emotions; what was her brain doing to her at this moment? She wasn't even sure it knew anymore. What she did know is that she now had this strange, bold, attractive women sitting at her table, and was now suddenly not being ignored anymore by the restaurant staff. Over all, it was a good thing, but she still didn't know how to take it. She was blushing a bit though. Didn't even realize it. She had been doing so ever since they women first spoke and sat down at her table. How she doted on her as soon as she approached and continued to do so. How she spoke about her, defended her a bit, even just calling her friend, when they had never met even once before that day. Even just how the girl would ask for her name. It was just a sort of friendly demeanor that Rael just wasn't used to, and she would have to work her way through it, which would be difficult with how shy she could be. She was an extremely friendly person herself though, so as soon as her brain and heart caught up to the situation, she would at least be able to mingle and converse with this girl appropriately.
She gulped a little and accepted the bread stick from the women and nodded a bit, her face still slightly pink, her nerves showing a bit more than she would have wanted. "Rael." She said softly as she took a small nibble of the bread stick. "My name is Rael Kemuri." She continued to nibble a bit on the bread stick, looking down at the table a bit, not really at anything, just to avert her eyes a bit from time to time before looking back up at Semasu. Rael normally did social pretty well when it was needed of her, yet talking to this stranger who had managed to save her from her neglect had an effect on her. It baffled Rael a bit, but she would just have to figure it out as she went along with everything that had happened and would happen. After all, she couldn't just sit there and be quiet and slightly awkward around her new friend and savior. That would be rude.
After taking a bite of her bread stick and afterwards taking in a light breath, her few moments of awkward silence and averting, shy eyes were over. It was time to be the social, friendly girl she so liked to normally be. She looked directly at the girl and smiled.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Semasu Rankujo. Oh, and thank you by the way. If you didn't come over when you did, I would most likely have just left to go eat elsewhere. Which would have been a shame since I hear this place has rather tasty food. Though I'm a little surprised as well. I'm not used to such bold displays of heroism and forwardness, so please forgive me on my earlier silence."
She was a bit playful in tone with the last bit of what she had said, though her apology was very real. More than anything, she didn't want to seem rude or distant from the women, especially now that she finally got the courage of conversing with her. As the rest of herself had finally caught up, Rael could begin to formulate her thoughts and words much better. One of the details she picked up on was the last name of the girl. Rankujo. She knew that name. It was one of the clans that had become rather well known in the village, for both positive and negative reasons. She figured she wouldn't bring that up so much. Didn't want to possibly ruin the conversation by setting off the women with a possible bad misrepresentation of her background and clan. That wouldn't go well for anyone, nor the building. Rael was sure that it would come up sooner or later in discussion, but for now she just wanted to keep things casual and fun.
As Rael finished off her bread stick, she picked up another and began to nibble on that one. She was indeed hungry, though was a bit more so distracted with Semasu, who was vanquishing bread sticks left and right. It was a little amusing, and certainly fit what she had heard about the Rankujo's appetite. She certainly wasn't all that surprised about the food order that Semasu had put in being as such, though that was easy to say until the food itself would come out when it was ready. She was sure the amount then would make her jaw drop, let alone watching her eat it. Rael would have to promise herself both then and now not to stare. Once again, rudeness was not a part of her character. Still, compared to her little order of assorted sushi, miso soup, dumplings, rice, and wontons with a sweet chili sauce. Rael was a little relieved that the women sitting across from her was as big a eater as she was. Those who knew Rael always would make the joke that she was eating for two, and in a way, she was. Semasu though, she was eating for like six. Needless to say, the two girls appetites would draw some attention and drop some jaws. In a way though, just another means for them to get along in Rael's eyes. Made the idea of them being friends all the better, and Rael liked making new friends.

It was obvious by the look on the girl's face that she was completely surprised and possibly bewildrered; the upside of the situation was that Rael was blushing... whether she realized it or not, who knew. Semasu smiled disarmingly at Rael as the girl received the breadstick and then darted her eyes from the table and back to Semasu. It was indeed a bit awkward and Semasu was trying very hard to keep her nerve. Normally doing something like this was second-nature to her, she had flirted with several pretty women in the past month... but none of them had actually made her nervous.
Soon she had the girl's name, Rael. Rael Kemuri. It was a beautiful name, for a beautiful girl. Semasu had watched this girl ever since she had come inside the building, but she had no way of knowing if this girl was a sociable person or a recluse- from the gossip she had heard, Semasu wouldn't be surprised if the girl was distant and anti-social. Often Jinchuuriki were shunned just as Rael was being by the villagers: this did nothing to help the Jins bond with their Bijuu or even accept themselves. It was a viscious cycle that always ended with the Jinchuuriki losing control, dying and taking countless villagers with them. thus the cycle always repeated with hatred and ostracizing.
Semasu wouldn't accept that though, she could see through the petty veil of shallow people and genuinely appreciated Rael's presence in the village. For more than just the prospect of being the village's "superpower" The just feeling of this girl was enough to make Semasu know that being around the girl was enjoyable even if few words were spoken. It wasn't the case however, once Rael had recovered from the pleasant surprise and introduced herself- she had suddenly become more social and even apologized for the awkward silence. Semasu laughed heartily, not at Rael, but at the whole situation. Who wouldn't be speechless at some random women coming to your table and demanding service of the waitresses without the least btit of concern?
Likewise Rael Kemuri... but please, no need to be formal with me. If you don't mind, I'd like to call you Rael... at least until I can think of a good nickname for you.
She winked playfully at Rael as she ate another breadstick.
There's no reason for the Jinchuuriki of our village to eat somewhere else just because people don't like you. In fact, they should respect you: I have a mind to change how they see things. Starting with a punch to the face to reset their vision. Really, I'm not much of a hero- my clan has a bad rap for blowing things up for little to no reason. I just saw you and wanted to get to know you more.
She was likely to say more, probably something dumb or maybe something that would put Rael on guard or even make the situation awkward again. Fortune was smiling upon them though, the smell of the food caught Semasu's attention before she could make a fool of herself. Her short violent escapade about hurting people for Rael disappeared as the food was brought out. Two extra tables were set on the side and their food was laiden on the three tables before them. The waitresses apologized to both Semasu & Rael for the long wait and then they disappeared after refilling their drinks. Semasu ordered a small gourd of sake and two cups. It was always best to make a proper toast with new friendships after all.
The waitress's face lost all color as she thought of a Rankujo getting drunk, but she obeyed and brought out the contents anyways. She didn't know of course, that Rankujos couldn't get drunk easily... this small amount of sake was just enough to wet her tongue. Drinking wasn't her daily custom, but she wanted to make this seem special as her first introduction to Rael Kemuri. She eyed the girl somewhat and tried to gauge how well Rael could hold alcohol... she was a Jinchuuriki, right? So logically it seemed like she could hold a large amount. Semasu looked up and down Rael's body and assessed her, then again...maybe not. Regardless, it would be interesting.
Rael had shown a slight sense of playfulness and Semasu jumped on the opportunity to make the mood better. Her words had insinuated better times to come, such as giving Rael a nickname and punching people who insulted her. Rael had ordered a considerable size of food herself, enough for nearly two starving people even! Semasu smiled at the beauty of it, finally- a woman who could somewhat compete with Semasu that wasn't a Rankujo.... but what about weight gain? Since Rael wasn't a Rankujo, gaining weight was eventually inevitable. It couldn't be helped, Rael looked like such a delicate flower that Semasu couldn't help but wonder how she could eat so much and retain her beautiful form.
She made quick effort to thank the spirits for the food they were about to eat and then picked up a bowl of spicy curry: the smell alone on it was enough to make her eyes water a bit, this would be delicious. She took a healthy bite and tested the flavor before setting it down and trying the miso soup... it was good as well, far better than she had expected from a restaurant who treated guests poorly.
A smirk crossed Semasu's face as she inspected Rael's meal, no spices? This wouldn't do; a meal wasn't complete without something spicy to make the rest of the food so much better. She took another bite of her spicy curry before spooning out another spoonful and offered Rael a bite- it was now the time for Semasu to go on the offensive and initiate her normal flirtatious self. She felt confident enough that she had helped set the mood for a bizarre scenario that was quite pleasant.
Try a bite of my curry Rael, it's not that hot but it still tastes great!
It was indeed very spicy, but not so much to Semasu- so she wasn't really telling a lie. The waitress had previously poured two cups of sake and left the gourd on the table for refills. Semasu quickly gulped down her glass of sake right as she offered Rael a bite of her food. It was a sly but interesting move... she had offered an indirect kiss from a somewhat casual perspective after passes a few flirtatious winks or words. It was enough to let any bi-curious woman know what the deal was, but a straight woman might second-guess the acts as overly friendly. She wasn't meaning to be pushy, but she was setting the time up for an embarrassing action of an indirect kiss in public and then a quick shot of sake to wash the undoubtedly hot curry down.
A few of the customers were still in the restaurant and some were even paying a lot of attention to Rael and Semasu- a violent explosive tsundere was being overly friendly with their Jinchuuriki. Semasu ignored them for the most partand smiled innocently at Rael. Word count-1,201

Rael was very pleased with how the first awkward situation was turning out, especially as she started to taste her food. The dumplings, the rice, the soup. She took little tastes of it all before devoting to any one thing. Amazing. Much better than she would have guessed from what she had heard of the place. She smiled happily, so pleased with the fact that she finally got to eat here, and she had Semasu to thank for that as well, for if she didn't step in and demand service as she did, Rael wouldn't be enjoying such flavors at the moment. Even the smell of everything was simply delectable. As she was nibbling and enjoying her food, she watched as the waitress poured her and Semasu some sake. She swallowed and thanked the waitress, who didn't respond to her, as her face lost its color as she looked at the Rankujo. Rael wondered if she was ill or something, but her expression seemed more worried than ill. Rael's attention was directed to her companion next though, before she could have any further thoughts on the matter. Semasu, smiling and being extremely pleasant, offered Rael a taste of her curry. Now Rael didn't mind spicy food, though she did prefer sweet things far more, which more so defined her taste. Still though, it smelled really good and she would try just about anything once. Being so she smiled at the women. "Okay." She leaned forward a bit and allowed Semasu to feed her the curry. A rather cute display, and a bit affectionate, especially between two people who had just met. Rael didn't think about that though, as she first enjoyed the flavor of the curry, just to regret her decision a moment later, as the spice roared in her mouth. Her eyes watered and her tongue felt like it caught fire. In a means to calm the flame, she grabbed her sake and gulped it down, not even tasting it, before moving onto her water and drinking down half of that as well. It didn't solve her issue, but it did lessen the burning sensation in her mouth. Not wanting to chug down the rest of her water, Rael quickly poured herself another little cup of sake and drank it. She took the time to taste it this time around, but her taste buds were too much in protest to really taste much of anything at the moment. However, their little screams were settled with the liquid, which was good, for the moment.
Now Rael, being a tiny little thing, was not much of a drinker. In fact, she had been of legal age for not very long, and had only had alcohol on a few occasions previously. Being so, she was sort of a light weight or 'cheap date' you could say. Being so, those two quick glasses of sake would hit her pretty hard once they worked their way into her system. Luckily, Rael was a rather silly drunk, so it would at least prove interesting to say the least. After a few bites of rice, she looked back over at Semasu, her eyes still a little watery.
"You and I sooooo have a different definition of spicy. However, from the parts I could taste, it was rather good. Though you can so keep the rest. I'll just stick to my sweet food."
With that, Rael nibbled at her wantons. Her display was certainly humorous for Semasu, she was sure, though not as humorous as things would soon get. As they ate some, Rael's face started to get a little flushed. It wasn't extremely noticeable, but surely Semasu would be able to tell, siting right across from her. It was the sake. It was starting to kick in. Rael, normally a very perky and social girl, didn't really change much when she got tipsy, drunk, whatever. Matter of fact, she became more so, as well as rather playful, which began to show as she played with her sushi a little bit, giggling and eyeing Semasu with the thought of seeing if she would try a piece. Being so, the tipsy little thing offered her a slightly swaying piece of sushi. "Want to try a piece? It's really good, though it won't put set a fire in your mouth." Rael smiled happily, as she offered the soy sauce dipped yellow tail to Semasu. She would try to feed it to her, as she did the curry to Rael, but with her hand swaying slightly, it would be interesting to see if she even could. It would be a humorous and cute display though, leading to a good laugh, regardless of the outcome, in which Rael, trying to aim for Semasu's mouth, was more so aimed towards her nose. To think, this was only after two little cups of sake. If she had any more, Semasu was sure to see a much sillier and clumsy Rael. A sight to be seen for sure, as her friends loved getting her drunk the few times before, just to see how much of a fool she made of herself, though all in good fun. Fun. Something that Rael enjoyed, and it seemed that, to her, Semasu would be a good person to have fun with. After all, she was playful and nice, as far as Rael had come to know within this short little time passed. Being silly and having fun for the rest of the day seemed like a good idea to Rael, though she was getting a little ahead of herself, which was common for her when she was intoxicated.

It was working wonderfully, at first it had been a little awkward but once the food had been brought out- all that vanished. Rael had been very hungry it seemed, even before arriving at the restaurant and even more so because she had to wait on her food much longer than expected! Their food was quite exceptional though, turning a few heads in the place with just the smells alone as it was brought out and set on their table: an extra table had been brought up beside theirs to hold all the extra orders of food that Semasu had ordered, not all of it could fit on their small table after all.
Their table really was small, it was near the end of the room near a window- Semasu had noted that Rael purposefully picked the small table away from everyone on purpose: which was also one of the reasons why Semasu had ventured to socialize with the girl. Even so, Semasu wasn't a big girl; she was considered average height and weight... maybe a little heavier than normal, but that was because of her "gifted" body- a blessing or curse from her clan, she hadn't decided yet. She had left the large comfortable table to sit with Rael and now she was pleasantly enjoying the girl's company at the small table, the table where she had to consciously think of where her legs were so she didn't bump into Rael's legs.
Rael responded positively to Semasu's indulgent idea of hand feeding Rael, Semasu was excited that the girl had opened enough to her to accept such a unusual gesture of affection and friendship. Semasu carefully but affectionately used the spoon and maneuvered it into Rael's mouth as she fed her, the girl's eyes had lingered on her until the spoon was near enough that she had to subconsciously look down to take the offered bite of food. Rael smiled happily for a moment as she enjoyed the powerfully wonderful flavors of Semasu's curry, but her face quickly changed to uncertainty and then amused horror as she tried to contain the powerful spices raging war in her mouth.
Semasu took another healthy bite of her curry as she smiled and giggled at Rael in amusement as the girl reached for her cup of sake and gulped it down and then some water, before refilling her cup with sake again and savoring the taste in her mouth to help alleviate the burning sensation. Semasu would find out soon enough what kind of drunk Rael was, hopefully she wouldn't drink too muh- Semasu wanted to spend a good portion of her day getting to know Rael, hopefully that wouldn't be too presumptuous of her.
To ensure Rael didn't become completely wasted, Semasu refilled her cup with what was left of the sake and gulped it down in one shot. She sighed with a semi-expressed sound as the fiery liquids washed down her throat, so yummy. Honestly I didn't think you would be able to handle that much spicy food, you did well to handle it like you did. Other people might have jumped out of their seats and ran around screaming like a wild person~
So, Rael liked sweet foods did she? Semasu would have to share some donuts with her later if possible, not right after a meal though... especially since both of them would probably be full from the food. Still, the thought of Rael enjoying a homemade donut that Semasu had cooked, was an appealing thought.
Her thoughts were interrupted as she studied her beautiful new friend, the girl's face was somewhat flushed- apparently the sake had went straight to her head! She was playing with her food now; her attitude had loosened up some and she was becoming playful, Semasu could do playful. Rael smiled at her playfully suddenly as she eyed Semasu and help up a wobbly hand with some sushi on her chopsticks, she asked if Semasu wanted a bite. She wasn't the type of girl to blush easily, but apparently Rael had caught her offguard, or maybe it was just the sake affected her? She blushed a bit as she accepted the Sushi, she leaned over the table a bit and opened her mouth and closed her eyes to accept the sushi into her mouth.
Instead she was poked in the nose with the sauce covered sushi and she opened her eyes in surprised as a bit of sauce was dabbed onto her nose. She eyed the sushi wavering in front of her and timed her playful bite perfectly as she took the chopsticks tip into her mouth with the sushi and pulled backwards, letting the chopsticks slowly retract from her pursed lips. She smiled happily at Rael as she enjoyed the sushi's flavor and Rael's company, so fully engrossed in the scene that she hadn't even remembered the sauce on her nose. Mmmm~ That sushi Is good! Here, have some of my grilled cheese sandwich~
Semasu had been chewing on a sandwich after she had finished her curry and soup, she was offering some more food with bread to Rael to reduce the alcohol level in the girl. Everyone knew that bread was a good off-set to alcohol because it absorbed the alcohol and leveled out the amount in the body and helped one to remain in a sober state. Semasu wanted to spend as much time with her new curious friend as possible and know some about her; she tore her sandwich in half and hand set half of it on a clean plate beside Rael. Our taste in spices might be different, but I can assure you that we share the same love for sweets. I love donuts, I even learned how to bake all kinds. Word count- 965
