The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Subject: Ai-Ikari no Tsurugi Wed Jul 02, 2014 3:42 pm
Name: The Sword of Love-Hatred, Ai-Ikari no Tsurugi
Type: Katana
Rank: E
Quantity: Only one was made by Tomoe Gozen, a famous female swordsman and blacksmith in the Ancient era.
Description:
Spoiler:
It is very rusty and is weaker than a standard kunai and shuriken steel handed to active-duty shinobi. The hilt and sheath are coated with worn out gold, decorated with paintings of symbols of Indra and Ashura, namely human-like gods and beast-like demons. The purpose of this sword is not of combat, but for developing the darker side of Yuumaru. More info will be revealed in his threads in the future.
Abilities:
Spoiler:
This weapon has no combat abilities, and cannot be used in combat as it will break upon a standard, normal parry with another blade. It can however, grow back its blade. But it would still be rusty and weak. Why? Read the history below. The purpose and abilities of this sword will be discussed in the History section below and in my future threads. Also, one cannot channel chakra through this sword. Why? Again, read below.
History:
Spoiler:
The sword is special because it was a gift given to Indra Ootsutsuki, the only shinobi to ever defeat Tomoe in battle. Tomoe was an immortal, and so history records have no idea how Indra managed to "defeat" an immortal phantom lady, but he did. Tomoe promised to shape him a "sword unlike any other--a sword to change the world" if he defeated her. The female samurai warrior kept her promise.
Unlike the other seven swords, Tomoe's first sword creation had a special power: it harnesses the passions of its wielder, or "master." The sword can then turn good or evil based on the holder. There was a catch: if the wielder was a blank canvas, the sword will swing in favor of the side which the user found himself most recently in.
The sword helped in turning Indra to who he was, and its power also grew when Indra let it harness his hatred. However, during his battle with his brother Ashura, Indra felt the sword grow weak, and eventually, the sword actually flew from his hand during battle and let itself be held by Ashura. Tomoe's ultimate creation was drawn to love and hatred, and when it senses a stronger kind than the other, it will be drawn to that stronger force.
Ashura, now the master of the Ai-Ikari, fearing that the sword will create problems in the future because of its sheer power, had it destroyed after his battle with his older brother. His comrades soon found out that the sword, like its creator, was immortal. And so, Ashura instead used his strongest fuuinjutsu, and had every fuuinjutsu expert in his army of comrades help him "seal" the power of the sword. The result was the sword being forever rusty and weak. However, its immortal properties could not be sealed, and so it keeps growing back when broken. The seal made by Ashura and his comrades can never be broken, and Ashura even added a secret ploy to his fuuinjutsu, just to keep the sword from getting into the wrong hands: he added a secret jutsu that will seal the sword from any other wielder besides his reincarnations. Ashura also sealed the sword's chakra entry points to forbid anyone, even his successors, to even attempt to make the now useless, rusty sword usable. When someone that wasn't Ashura's successor touched Ai-Ikari, they will not be able to be affected by the sword's powers. Ashura did this believing that anyone who wasn't his reincarnation to be unreliable with a sword as dangerous as this, not knowing that someday, one of his successors might stray from the true path...
TL;DR: Once again, this sword's purpose is not for combat. This is for RPing and is useless in battle. It will NOT give Yuumaru new abilities. It will only affect his personality and course in RP.

The only issue I see with this is that you are using the Xanadu. There is no such thing as an eighth sword in the clan, so you can't make something that is derived from it. I like the read and it sounds legitimate. I simply don't approve of the Xanadu being used. Change this into something unrelated to the known clans and we can get the ball rolling on approving this weapon.

Perfect. So long as it remains ineffective in combat, it will remain an E-rank. However, this will still cost you a lot of ryo considering its regenerative ability. This will cost 160,000 ryo. Just do a couple more missions and you'll be rocking the rusty crap!
