The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Subject: Hajiru's Mission Thread Sun Dec 14, 2014 7:28 pm
Just because people did not much think of him as a ninja did not mean he could not do jobs for the village. And in fact, perhaps because of that belief, it was made easier for him to find a job. Those that were devoted to be ninja and, you know, skilled and not fools or unskilled bastards like himself, preferred to do missions that provided action. Most of the low rank missions did not offer much of a test for ninja skills. If any at all.
Sometimes, Hajiru would even hear about gratefulness that he had taken the low rank missions so that others could do something more worthwhile to their talents. He never complained about the insults thrown his way, and that was perhaps a bad thing, but he had dealt with them for so long that it was all a part of life now. Perhaps he viewed them as true, perhaps he ignored them, no one would know for the smile on his lips as he offered to do the menial tasks.
Today, he did his best to ignore. He did not want anything dampening his mood, especially considering the mission he brought before the Kage as the one he desired to do. If all went well, maybe in the future he could inquire as to a permanent job with this person, but for now, he had to go through the Kage for it. Marching up to the Kage's desk, he smiled warmly and bowed, then slid the piece of paper onto his desk. Then waited.
Spoiler:

The mission had gone well, in his opinion, even if he had put up with a great deal of embarrassment throughout it. A couple of kisses from people getting flowers from other men; it was definitely an odd thing. Nevertheless, he had made the necessary deliveries, and gotten recognition from the owner of the flower shop herself. Now, he simply returned to the Fubukikage's office, and once more, made his way to the man's desk. Once there, he simply slipped the signed note across the table to the Kage, and took a step back to wait for ... approval. Or rebuke. Or whatever the case may be, either way, he waited, with his head bowed, and eyes glued to the floor.

Isais was about asleep when the genin entered the room. Isais would barely open his eyes as the genin would slide forward the note. Isais would approve the mission after reading it and started observing him. He seemed to have a serious question lingering over his mind, " these are troubling times". Isais would have the most stern face as he says this, "the girl to men ratio in Hyougagakure is slippin. In a decade we'll be a sausage fest. By then im leaving. Well on your way then." Isais would wave him off

It wouldn't be long before Hajiru returned to the Fubukikage's chambers. More missions, more!! Yes, Hajiru could use the money, but he also needed the excuse to get out there and do some training. Well, the D missions usually did not require much actual combat, so he would not get much training in that end of things, but one never knew. And, there were other things to train other than combat skills.
A bit intimidated by the Kage, himself, Hajiru slid the slip describing the next mission he sought to take across the desk before the Kage. Instinctively, he backed away after doing so, as if he were afraid the Kage would snap his arm off if he let it linger on the desk too long.
mission:

Isais would come into the office a bit late this morning. At this point in time he wouldnt really mind at all because there arent many people hed have to answer to. As he starts preparing his desk he would here papers being slid across his desk. He would look up to see the young Genin from a few hours ago ready to take another mission. Isais smiles as he sees the kids sign of curtesy and approves his mission. "Go ahead dude, there's much work to be done". Hed hand the mission to him and gesture for him to go on.
It would not take long, by his standards, though the shop owner had made quite the ruckus about it being quicker, that Hajiru returned. He did not want to jeopardize the benefits that could be had from those weeds, and still, he made it look as if he were simply tending to the garden. Hajiru had good hearing and heard no complaints from those that visited the shop, so in his mind, it was an outstanding success. So, once he was back in the Fubukikage's office, he slid the slip across the Kage's desk, to show the shop owner's confirmation of the job being done. Hajiru then, as usual, took a step back, and folded his hands before him as he awaited the kage's response.

Isais was really busy when the genin came in. He didnt expect for this kid to be soo quick with the missions. This brought a smile to Isais' face as he begins to read the slip placed on his desk. " Dude, You have to be the hardest working Genin, I know". Isais would place his approval and slide the slip back to the genin. " Keep up the good work, the village needs people like you."
Name: Catch that fur ball! Difficulty: D Location: Hyougagakure Reward: 5,000 Ryo Experience: 25 Exp Objective: Catch the Feline escapee. Description: It has come to our attention that Mrs.Mallard's cat, -Insert Name Here- has escaped from her home yet again. Not only has she come to us for our help but the cat is causing a ruckus within the streets of Hyouga. Your job will be to locate this cat, capture it, and return it to Mrs.Mallard before more harm can be done to our village... and the car of course.
Cats had spirits too, and just like the plethora of other spirits of nature, it was Hajiru's duty to see what the problem was, so that he could ease the spirit's discomfort. Whatever reason the cat had for running off was unknown, but finding it and stopping its shenanigans would be what Hajiru focused on. Answers were not as important in this case.
Once again, Hajiru brought the mission slip to the Fubukikage's office and waited before Isais's desk, silent as ever and awaiting approval. Someday, he might have the courage to look the man in the eye. Maybe. Possibly. Most likely not.

Perhaps this young shinobi had been expecting Isais but today he would have to settle for little ole Xavier. Though he wouldn't look directly at him, he still would approve of the mission and send him on his way, handing him back the slip "keep up the good work". Xavier would return to look over the papers before him. (Mission Approved)
