Personality: - Normal Personality:
Normally Tatsuo is quite, calm and cool, preferring not to show outward what he is feeling emotionally. Though he has no lack of social skills, he prefers to keep his interaction with those around him to a minimum. Ultimately he prefers not to get too attached to anyone, as he knows full well how strong yet painful forming a bond with someone can be in the long run. He keeps to himself during debates and expresses the ideal that his opinions are his own and that goes for others as well. Though he can seem coldhearted to the people around him Tatsuo shows a slightly softer side towards animals, not even he himself is absolutely sure why the beings of nature have found a way into his heart but he attributes this to the fact that since he isn’t fully human, he is just as much alike them as he is humanity.
- Combat Personality:
During battle, Tatsuo fights with fierceness and ferocity, never holding back against any opponent no matter their level of skill. Unlike his nature would suggest, he does not prefer to kill his enemies though at the same time he has no quarrel doing so either and he fights as if the battle is to death no matter what. He keeps a cool head and doesn’t allow emotions such as anger or arrogance to cloud his judgment in battle as giving into such emotions is just giving his opponents and unneeded advantage.. He is always watching his opponent searching for weaknesses and flaws of any kind he can exploit.
Likes: - What he likes:
Training: Tatsuo is always looking for ways to improve himself as a whole. He is always working towards improving the skills he already has or learning new ones altogether, anything he can do to better himself in anyway is something he strives for. He knows just like anyone that the limit to what a person can do is set by that person, there is always room to faster, stronger, and tougher. If you want to be those things however, you have to put in the effort to achieve those heights.
Power: The first side of the coin next to intelligence, this is the physical side of the coin. This can be misleading as Tatsuo is not power hungry in anyway. He is just always striving to become stronger and he has a deep respect for those that have worked hard to attain the incredible heights that he himself is striving to reach.
Intelligence: The second side of the coin next to power, and like Tatsuo has learned what you lack in one you cannot make up for in the other as both are equally important. Without the ability to discern what you see and take in information all the power in the world won’t do you much good if you have no idea what to do with it. This is the very reason that Tatsuo has dedicated his life to both equally instead of one over the other.
Dislikes: - What he doesn’t like:
Hypocritical people: Tatsuo is and always has been a stern believer in the idea of “practice what you preach.” He has a deep distaste for people who speak one way and then act another. He considers it a new low when you can no longer even follow your own ideals yet at the same time you can hold others to them. He finds it very intriguing how some people can hold others to a high set standard and not themselves.
Weakness: This one is a little confusing as he doesn’t despise weak people but the people who refuse to try and do something about it. If you have time to sit around a feel weak and sorry for yourself then you have an equal amount if not more time to get up and do something about. If you want strength you have to do something about it. Even the smallest amount of effort can make a difference if you really want it to.
Cockiness: Another thing he dislikes above others is cockiness within people. He feels that people who are cocky and brag about their own skills are in fact just trying to compensate for something they lack proficiency in by boasting about a separate skill of theirs instead. He believes sternly that his flaw can be somebodies death wish should they get too cocky in a real battle and let their guard down. That’s an opening most opponents won’t likely pass up.
Motivation: - Push on until you no longer can:
Tatsuo is motivated primarily by one simple goal and that is being strong. Tatsuo’s definition of strong however does not make this goal easily achievable for him as he believes there is always room for improvement no matter how strong someone thinks they have become. So where does this leave him? Well this leaves him with what in his opinion is the best kind of goal, the kind you never fully fulfill. This is the best kind of goal in his opinion because it means you’ll always have something you’re working for and striving to accomplish till the day you die. This leads to a life free of boredom for Tatsuo and that’s something he sees is worth it.
Fears: - His biggest fear:
Tatsuo’s biggest fear is, well, himself. He is biggest fear is of himself, or more accurately, his other half. He fears not being able to control the dark portion of himself and ultimately losing control. To him losing control over himself and succumbing to the darkness is a fate worth than death. He knows it will always be there, waiting to possess him at every chance it gets which means he will always have to keep it at bay and that takes its toll. He knows if he grows weak or helpless to the point this dark power has the opening it needs to take over his body, his only option would be to end his own life and he is fully capable of doing this should he have to.
KyuuketsukiBloodline Name: sora no tamashii no chikara (Power of Empty Souls) Bloodline Ability: - Power of Empty Souls:
The Kyuuketsukiki clan is a mysterious clan that has been around for generations. Not much is known about the clan other than they possess incredibly dark chakra and are said to be spawn of half-demon and half-human origin, a race know as cambion. Though considerably weaker than the original ancestor of the clan, members can succumb to their demon side and allow it to take over. Doing so changes their physical form to a more demon-like state and drastically increased not only their physical prowess but the potency of their chakra as well. Less Experienced members however, can lose control of themselves if they retain the form too long and if that happens not only will they go off on destructive rampages, but the demon side of them could completely possess them which will never allow them to take human form again. They will remain a homicidal demon until they are killed. In order to try and prevent this, long ago one member of the clan passively combined his dark demon chakra with his human chakra, allowing him to keep the dark chakra in check and make controlling the Cambion form much easier. However this means that while in their transformed state, the dark chakra of the Cambion will begin to eat away at their human chakra and once their human chakra lowers to less than 10% their dark chakra will begin to take over and once their human chakra hits zero, they will permanently retain Cambion form with no way back.
Location: scattered Clan History: - History as detailed in the devils tablet:
The Akuma no Taburetto, meaning Devils Tablet, is an ancient relic depicting the clans history. Only those within the clan know of its existence and even fewer know of its location. The tablet depicts a time long ago when many wars were being fought for dominance between the many nations of the world.
A small nation led by an empress by the name of Katanya came under siege by unknown adversaries. Her armies clashed against the intruders, a battle lasting for many days. Her forces suffered heavy losses but it seemed as though the attackers were growing stronger with each passing day. One night as she looked out at the moon, she prayed to it, prayed for the power to save her people. When her prayer was concluded a spirit appeared to her. It was a bright purple spirit, teeth razor sharp and an aura that was so strong she could feel it weighing down on her from a distance.
The demon offered her the power she would need to not only crush her current attackers but the power to defend her nation from any and all hostile forces. When asked what the malevolent spirit wanted in return he simply stated all she must do is give herself to him then and there. Knowing this may well be her only option she reluctantly complied to his request, offering her body up to the demon spirit for the night.
When morning came she noticed she felt much different, her chakra felt darker, her body felt much hotter and she felt much stronger. Using her new found power she and her armies were able to wipe out all of the attackers and for many ages after prosper peacefully. However, some years later the demon returned one night and brought discerning news.
He placed his hand upon her stomach and instilled one last piece of his power within her however, this would ultimately be their last encounter. He stated that she would pass away soon, giving birth to the demons new son, the first Cambion hybrid and that by giving herself to him earlier on in life in exchange for his power, she could not refuse.
She would later give birth to the first true Cambion, the original and strongest of his kind. The son, a man named Samael had very different ideals from his mother and while she used her power to protect the people of her nation, he used his to not only eventually destroy his mothers people but spawn a new race. After this portion of the history pieces of the tablet are missing or distorted and it is unknown what really happened after those events depicted within it.
History: Birth Arc:Tatsuo was the first in his immediate family to fully inherit the Kyuuketsuki bloodline. This lead to his parents fearing him from the moments they entered the world. His father wanted him killed however a mother’s love is stronger than anything else and while his mother knew that her son was not fully human she couldn’t bring herself to kill her own child. As an alternative and a way for Tatsuo to at least have a shot at life, he was abandoned just outside of Tsukigakure no Sato, the Hidden Moon Village. It was here that he was found by a traveling merchant who often frequented the village’s vast marketplaces and lived just outside the village about a kilometer or so. This man had devoted his whole life to studying the Kyuuketsuki bloodline and when he noticed the child bearing the ancient symbol for the clan on his left shoulder; it not became the greatest of learning opportunities. Early Childhood Arc: Early on in life, Tatsuo had no interest in becoming a shinobi and as a matter of fact what he wished to be was a merchant like his adopted father, traveling the world buying a selling goods to the different villages and nations. At first his dream seemed easy to accomplish as he often followed his dad when he left on his expeditions to the different villages of the world. Tatsuo preferred visiting the moon village however as something about it just seemed right to him. Growing up his father taught him everything he could about the bloodline he had inherited and even confided in him that he was close to discovering the location of the mysterious tablet which depicted the clan’s history. He would be the first outsider to ever have laid eyes on it, had he lived that long that is. The Incident Ark: One night while Tatsuo was asleep, he had a terrible nightmare. A nightmare like no other, one so terrifying that he couldn’t tell if it was real or not anymore. The extreme fear he felt somehow stirred his dark chakra and he unconsciously awakened his Cambion form. He began destroying the house and when his father tried to stop him he not only attacked, but killed his father. He was seven years old when this happened, and it would change his life forever. It was this event that made him what he is today. Exploration arc: In order to prevent a similar incident from ever happening again, Tatsuo decided he needed to find the tablet his father spoke of, detailing the history of this cursed bloodline. He searched for a whole year straight using his father’s notes and diaries until he finally found the tablet in a faraway temple marked with the same symbol he bore on his shoulder. He read the tablet and the history of the empress who bore a son from a demon, the first of his kind. He read about how that son used his power to cause death and destruction. Not much of the tablet is left intact after that, so it was there the history stops. It was that day that he vowed he would never let himself lose control again, if the need arose where he had to take his own life to prevent it he would. Academy Days Arc: He figured the only way for him to control the darkness he held would be to grow strong enough to keep it in check, this is when he first began his interest in the career life of the shinobi. He began studying his father’s multitude of journals and diaries to learn everything he could about chakra, shinobi, just and etc. Then finally at the age of nine he moved to the hidden moon village and enrolled in the ninja academy there. It was very early on that he showed major promise almost to the point where he was considered a prodigy. Very few other students in his class could match him and even less could best him in just about anything. However ninjutsu and swordsmen ship were the areas he really excelled at, to the point they became his focus during his training at the academy. Present Day Arc: After he graduated the academy at the age of 11 he disappeared for almost seven full years before he returned to the village as a full time shinobi. While on his quest he worked very hard to understand his darker half in order for it to become easier to control. He learned during this time how to tap into its power for his own use but at the same time made sure he was fully knowledgeable of the risks that came with this extraordinary power. Now he fights for the Hidden Moon Village as a shinobi of their ranks. RP Sample: He slipped in and out of consciousness as he finally was able to lay his head down. He had been deprived of sleep for a couple of days now so a good night’s rest was well deserved at this point. He opened the window nearest his bed to allow the moonlight to sink into his room, the light of the moon was something that comforted him when he needed comforting most but this night would be just like the others, deprived of sleep. Tatsuo was stirred awake suddenly, a burning sensation creeping all throughout his body. He knew full well what was happening; while he was asleep his dark chakra was once again attempting to cease control. Putting it back in check was simple for him as he had done it many nights before for as long as he could remember. Using his human portion to suppress his dark side was second nature to him now and once the task was complete he sat up in bed and rubbed the fatigue from his eyes. ”No point in trying to get more sleep tonight, might as well go for a stroll.”Sighing as he quickly got dressed, he prepared for a midnight stroll. This was often what he did after an episode as he found it hard to sleep when they occurred. Leaving his residence he quickly began walking randomly with no destination in particular other than away from his home. He walked with his head held high and his eyes a deep glowing red, one symbol of his heritage from which he had inherited due to his bloodline. He walked with a cool demeanor, headed north to wherever the wind should take him guided by nothing but it and the moonlight.
