Clan Information
Yuki Ichizoku
Bloodline Name: Hyōton, Ice Release
Bloodline Ability: Hyōton, Ice Release is a kekkei genkai that allows the user the ability to use water/ice techniques in almost any situation using the moisture in the air. Shinobi born to the Yuki Ichizoku innately possess Suiton and Fuuton chakra which are necessary to perform Hyōton jutsu. Those of this bloodline are also proficient in quickly learning the ability to perform hand seals using only one hand.
Physical Traits: Those of the Yuki Ichizoku descendants are varied in their physical makeup, though primarily have dark colored hair and a very fair complexion. They have a naturally sylphlike appearance, even the males though not always as far as all males are effeminate in appearance. They tend to have a slim build, their strength in their agility rather than brute strength.
Location: Hyougagakure
Clan History: The Yuki Clan (雪一族, Yuki Ichizoku) originated in Blizzard Country, from the western side of the land. During the time before the Shichiyou clan founded Hyougagakure, the various tribes of Burizādo-koku would fight amongst themselves. In these wars, different sides battled each other using shinobi, some of whom possessed kekkei genkai. The Yuki Ichizoku was amongst those of whom possessed a kekkei genkai, one who’s use left gruesome memories which lingered in the minds of even their own tribe. This led to the persecution of the Yuki Ichizoku after the wars. As the tribes began moving towards unification, most moving to the newly founded Hyougagakure their tribe feared that the terrible memories of the Yuki Ichizoku’s Hyōton (Ice Release) kekkei genkai would negatively impact their tribe’s reputation in Hyougagakure or out-right have them denied access. This fear led to the other kuran to speak amongst themselves of how to solve their ‘problem’. Unbeknownst and unaware to the Yuki, the other clans of the Western Tribe eventually decided there was only one thing that could be done. They gathered in secret and plotted the destruction of the Yuki Ichizoku. They called upon the strongest members of the clan and sent them individually on different ‘missions’, ambushing and killing them separately; fearing their power in numbers. After the strongest were dispatched, they gathered their numbers and attacked the remaining Yuki Ichizoku; killing or chasing off the rest of the clan. The ichizoku was nearly destroyed, the few surviving members scattered to either die in the cold or change their identity and live as simple folk, hiding. The few that manifest the talent oft suppress the ability and continue to hide even though time seems to have forgotten the bias against the Yuki Ichizoku.
Name: One-Handed Seals
Rank: E
Element: -
Type: -
Range: -
Description: Passive. Those of the Hyōton kekkei genkai possess an innate talent for being able to complete the hand seals required to perform jutsu with only one hand. This allows the user some tactical advantages, such as being able to restrain an opponent with one arm while still using their free arm to perform jutsu. While this allows the completion of jutsu with just one hand, it does not allow the ability to use more than one jutsu at a time. This innate talent requires the practitioner to know the seals with two hands and they must practice its one-handed use before being able to perform it under duress (one additional paragraph of training when learning new jutsu is required; to be completed at any time after the jutsu has been learned but prior to using the technique with one hand. Add 50 words to this training for each rank above your current shinobi level: IE Genin learning C-rank +50 words, Genin learning B-rank +100 words, Chuunin learning B-rank +50 words, Chuunin learning A-rank +100 words, etc).
D-Rank Jutsu
Name: Hyōton: Hissatsu Hyōsō (Certain-Kill Ice Spears)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: D
Element: Ice
Type: Ninjutsu
Range: Short to Midrange
Description: This jutsu is performed by causing the hydrogen and oxygen particles in the air to rapidly converge, freeze, and expand into numerous spikes of ice. These spikes of ice originate from near the user and expand outwards, depending on threat level and individual user proficiency. This jutsu is a defensive reflex at lower skill levels, with highly skilled practitioners being able to use it at will. D and C level users can use this as a defensive reflex in a lethal situation (where one perceives they will or actually will die). Advanced B to S level can learn to use this at will as an offensive jutsu (even advanced users must have previously used this jutsu in a life threatening situation or have had training by another practitioner whom can use it offensively before they can attempt to train this for offensive use).
D: 5 feet max range, 3 spikes. Once per topic.
C: 10 feet max range, 3 spikes. Once per topic.
B: 10 feet max range, 5 spikes. 6 post cooldown.
A: 20 feet max range, 5 spikes. 8 post cooldown.
S: 30 feet max range, 7 spikes. 10 post cooldown.
Name: Hyōton: Hyōgan Dōmu (Ice Release: Ice Rock Dome of Magnificent Nothingness)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: D
Element: Ice
Type: Ninjutsu
Range: Varies
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Description: This is a defensive jutsu performed by causing the hydrogen and oxygen particles in the air to combine and slow causing the newly created water molecules to freeze in a defensive dome shape around the user. This ice barrier gets stronger and faster with the user's proficiency level. Due to the nature of Hyōton, it is 50% extra resistant to Katon jutsu.
D: The Hyōgan Dōmu is very weak, solidifying only in a flat pane of ice to block one direction. The dome expands to block the sides after a second post of uninterrupted channeling and completes to block all sides if a third post is charged. Blocks a single D-level jutsu.
C: The user has strengthened their Hyōgan Dōmu into an arced barrier protecting the front, arcing overhead and to both sides, a second post of uninterrupted channeling will complete the dome. Blocks a single C-level jutsu, repels D-level jutsu
B: The Hyōgan Dōmu can now be fully created without charging, completely surrounding the user. Blocks a single B-level jutsu, repels C-level and below while channeled.
A: The Hyōgan Dōmu is a powerful barrier now, allowing the user to block them self as well as well as any other within 5 meters, plus 3 meters per post of uninterrupted channeling. Blocks a single A-level jutsu, repels B-level and below while channeled.
S: The peak strength of Hyōgan Dōmu; few can utilize the Hyōton to this level. The barrier can be extended wide enough to cover a 10 meter area plus 5 meters per post of uninterrupted channeling. Blocks a single S-level jutsu, repels A-level and below while channeled.
C-Rank Jutsu
Name: Hyōton: Sensatsu Suishō (Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: C
Element: Ice
Type: Ninjutsu
Range: Short to Midrange
Cooldown: 5 Posts
Description: Sensatsu Suisho is performed by using Hyōton in order to manipulate the water in the air to create many senbon-shaped pieces of water in the air. These water senbon gather in a large number all around the front, sides, and back of the target. When released the senbon freeze, becoming as deadly as the real thing and streak from all directions at the target.
S-Rank Jutsu
Name: Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō (Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: S
Element: Ice
Type: Ninjutsu
Range: Short to Midrange
Cooldown: 10 posts
Description: Upon the activation of Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō the user can create large mirrors of ice at will. The most common technique when utilizing Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō is to surround the target with a twenty-one mirror formation: twelve ground-level, eight more above angled downward, with a single mirror at the top facing the ground. Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō however is not limited to this formation alone and allows the spawning of mirrors in any location within 70 meters; even midair at a distance. The User will step into one of the mirrors and their reflection will appear to be in all active mirrors. Once within the mirror they will be able to attack and move from each mirror almost instantly. The movement is so rapid they appear to be within and attack from every mirror at once. Even if a mirror is destroyed the User can leap from the fragments and either continue their attack or enter another mirror. Each mirror can be restored without much effort for as long as the jutsu is maintained. Maintaining Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō however is as taxing as it is dangerous; the User slows down the longer it is maintained. For the first post Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō is active, the User's movement are unable to be followed by anyone without the use of such things as a Sharingan. After the initial attack using Hyōton: Makyō Hyōshō, chakra is continually used to maintain the mirrors causing the User to slow as more of their chakra is expended. Above 80% chakra the User maintains the peak speed of the jutsu, above 50% chakra the user is 200% faster, above 25% chakra the user is 150% faster, and below 25% the user can only maintain an increased speed of 100% faster.[/b]
