The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Description: Kitakaze is a scythe with a very long pole. The pole is around 1.60 meters and is black, with a white blade. The blade is about half a meter long. It is made of a mixture of rare metals that are incredibly sturdy but also very flexible, mixed with chakra-conducting metal. The result is an incredibly sturdy pole that can handle one A-rank attack before breaking, after which it can be repeared. The blade is made of a mixture of durable metal and chakra-conducting metal like Asuma’s trench knives.
Abilities: A well-versed weapon, Kitakaze has a few useful abilities.
Advanced Chakra Conduction The first is that it allows for greatly enhanced chakra-conduction. When Rainen channels wind chakra through the scythe onto the blade, it becomes sharp enough to cut a human in half with ease. When fire chakra is channeled through the blade, it becomes hot enough to cause second-degree burns after a few seconds of direct contact with the skin. It also allows for the use of numerous “Ninkenjutsu” techniques that involve gathering chakra in the scythe’s blade and releasing it.
Long-range Mode The second ability is that the pole, when infused with chakra, greatly increases in length up to ten meters. It also automatically becomes flexible and bendable like a chain. Rainen can control the pole with chakra, making it freely coil about. During this mode, the wielder can still channel chakra through the blade in order to increase its sharpness or make it hot, however no “Ninkenjutsu” techniques can be used unless stated in the jutsu’s description. Switching to this mode consumes 5 chakra.
Summoning Finally, Kitakaze has a summoning seal on its pole near where Rainen usually holds it. This seal is linked to a summoning tattoo on Rainen’s arm, hidden underneath his long glove. When Rainen touches the seal on his arm with his finger, the scythe is summoned to his location. This is something he applied after he retrieved the scythe again, to make sure he wouldn’t lose it again.
History: This weapon was given to Rainen by his father when he was promoted to Jounin. He kept using it as his signature weapon until he was forced to leave it behind when he fled the Blizzard Country for the second time, after he was ambushed by Hyouga-nin led by his mother. However, a short while ago he tracked down the weapon’s location and reclaimed it, adding a summoning seal to its surface to ensure he wouldn’t lose it again.
