| Equipment Template Name: Remnants of Hermes: Thlívetai ton Theón Type: Grieves Quantity: 2 [1 Pair] Description: A pair of Grieves blessed by Hermes, Patron God of numerous things, for a special combat related ability. They are made of tempered steel, designed to take on heavy punishment without harming the leg. Abilities: Allows to user to hover [free movement while doing so, walking, running] three feet in the air. Maximum. The user can jump, crouch, and thus move his body position, but he can't stay up higher then three feet. So if he does a flip, he must land on his feet or he'll fall. If his feet right themselves with the ability active then he's automatically placed back at hovering height. Takes 10 Chakra to activate, and can last for up to fifteen posts, but can be deactivated at any time. Though if turned off it has a six post cooldown. Through the nature of the chakra bestowed in the grieves D rank lightning moves are 50% as weak, and D rank fire moves are 50% as strong. History: Genesis found these Grieves in his Familys' armory, they were inscribed with the Cadeus (sp?), the symbol of Hermes. Shortly after grabbing them, and after a few quests, he found them blessed by Hermes himself. Appearance: - Spoiler:

| How much can these take before the leg starts taking damage? I feel that even with the design if someone throws jutsu at them it wouldn't take it all. |

| They're made of tempered steel, that's it. They're grieves, made to protect the legs, but in a more classical steel. There's nothing actually special about the metal, if not for the mass amount of chakra weapons it would serves much better as full armor.
As is, they take exactly as much as high quality tempered steel does, and what jutsu does to them depends entirely on the jutsu.
If he was using their ability most lower-mid jutsu would primarily off-balance him before much else due to the floating... |

| Uhm... By 'most' I'm refering to how it depends on the nature of the jutsu used.
If the jutsu used is a blast of air, well obviously he's floating so he'll be knocked back more but recieve less damage from the actual blast.
If it's a giant rock fist it'll send him flying and still deal regular damage.
If it's a wave of fire it'll burn him slightly less because he'll be in the fire slightly less due to being knocked back. But will still be knocked around more.
Etc etc... Depends on the nature of each jutsu, physics just changes slightly because he's floating. |

| Im looking at the basics of naruto physics not real life physics so things like if it can block jutsu then list elements and ranks. And fire would do more damage since this is obviously using the wind element of chakra to help you hover. |

| Well, outside of it lowering the power of D rank lightning to E rank. As well as D rank fire being 1.5x as strong... That would be about it.... |

| Basing it off of other Wind walking jutsu on the site I'd say this is about D rank level fuuton thus it will cost ten chakra to activate. Also you have the following options to choose from, you must pick one. - Add in a duration for the ability to hover
- Add in a 5 chakra upkeep per round to keep it going

| Well, given how limited his actual height is [given he can't go up or down using hovering, eliminating any sort of escape tactic all other air walking gives, just jump/run/walk/basic movement] I'd say about 15 post duration. |
