Village News
The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Ookami, Kotaishi Tellme11

Personality: Kotaishi, the meaning of his name is prince. A name like that in a clan of feral beasts like the Ookami was a way of being arrogant. To place himself above everyone else in the pack with a name like Kotaishi, he often thought about what his parent was thinking giving him such a name. For the reason of whenever he introduces him to someone, and he receives a look of distaste, he hates his name. He'd much rather give you the name Ko or Taishi, but on those rare occausions when he's asked by a pack leader. He is forced to give his real name. Kotaishi Ookami - which can be translated as Prince of the Wolves by some.

Kotaishi is very prideful about him being an Ookami, being the first to tell you that his animistic tenacity comes from his clan. He also won't allow anyone to bad mouth his clan, even if it's only just a sub pack that had been wreaking havoc somewhere, if you mention them. You should speak of them individually and not as a whole. His rashness and recklessness can sometimes lead him to trouble, but he uses his instincts and smart to get him out of it 9 times out of 10. He will put his life on the line if it means protecting those close to him. His vicious loyalty is sometimes over shadowed, by his arrogant " I don't care what you do " attitude. But if it's in his power than he would without a doubt rush to there aid.

Back to his instinct, Kotaishi relies harshly on them. Thinking with his heart more than his head, he can be thrown into many difficult situations without really knowing how it happened. His mother always instilled in him that if others are in trouble and he could help solve that problem, than by all means do. Which is something that has stuck with him during his ninja career. Helping the young and old alike, sometimes even the evil doers if he didn't know the full situation. Still Kotaishi has been described as a reckless pup by many in his clan. He hates it, but he can't help it.

Kotaishi has an unusual trait of being very empathetic towards others. Whether they be friend or foe. He tries to understand there reasons. What forced them to become that way. Was a it a lack of love ? could I possibly fix it someway. This combined with his dog like determination drives many to feel safe around him. The boy's has never thought of himself during a mission. He puts himself over the group like a true pack leader would.

Likes:
  • Missions: Missions are Kotaishi's adrenaline rush. Whenever one is brought up, he begin to become overly excited and rushes head on into it.

  • Training: Kotaishi is very adept with training and through his harsh and vigorous routine as since looked forwards to doing it everyday. It's become a small pleasantry of his

  • Comrades: He enjoys the company of those that he knows will have his back. He feels he can talk to them and not have to worry about saying the wrong thing, or mentioning a the wrong information. To him comrades are just swell.

  • Fighting/Sparring: Any form of combat to Kotaishi is thrilling Though he wouldn't admit it, he enjoys the back and forth punches. The feel of his fist cracking a bone or two. He enjoys it all, every aspect of combat. But more than anything he enjoy the feeling of learning and becoming stronger through combat. Every battle he's survived made him stronger. Not to mention he had a knack for it.

Dislikes: Kotaishi dislikes many things in this world of ours, but none more than his own name. It stinks of arrogance to him. His name has created more problems for him than anything else, more than his recklessness, more than his rebel attitude, and more than his naivety. But besides that he dislikes rain, he hates the feeling his fur being pressed against his skin and the smell of approaching rain is horrifying. He also dislikes being given orders, though it's a key trait in his clan and being, he clenches his fist whenever forced to do something he wouldn't normally do. The massacre of the innocent, he hates it utterly and without a doubt. Which gives off a sub hatred for the smell of blood, that smell stains the walls of his nostrils for days on end. Kotaishi would rather go without his nose than have to smell a large amount of blood like that again. For this reason he despises the rival clan Kyuketsuki. They are always constantly fighting and for some reason he can smell blood exerting off the members.

Motivation:
  • Ookami Clan: Koatishi continues to progress to put his clan on the map one day. For his clan to be known and respected world wide. His desire to show up the Kyuketsuki clan is more than enough to push him pass his limits, but he also desires to start a pack of his own one day, with the strongest and most versatile Ookamis he can find.

  • Pride and Honor: His strong pride guides him down the path to being recognized as truly strong even if, at times it pushes him in the shadows. The counter part to his dark trait, is his need and want to be honorable. It may be a downfall but he would gladly let an opponent speak his last words whether it be a prayer or a curse. He deserved that much at least.

Fears:He fears no one, he doesn't fear imprisonment, he doesn't fear ridicule, he doesn't even fear dying. But he does fear letting does closest to him down. He fears not being able to protect his family or comrades, he fears the inability to protect the village like a shinobi should. And he fears losing to the Kyuketsuki clan. They are fierce rivals and all he wants to do is be there when they are finally beaten.

Ookami, Kotaishi Histor11

History: Kotaishi was born to the leader of the highest ranked pack of the Ookami clan, this being said he was already predicted to have strong wolf traits and powerful blood. His mother was a powerful Jounin of the Tsukigakure village. How a Ookami woman had reached so high was no surprised, the Ookami's along with their rival clan the Kyuketsuki was very talented and strong. Kotaishi was born on a starless night, the moon showed brightly over the small cottage, in the distant one could hear the agonizing moans of a woman in labor. Twenty three hours go by and her yells are quailed only to be overshadow by the cries of a newborn. A tall, slander man rushes in and looks deeply at the naked infant. The man's long arms reaches out and cradles the baby, as he takes a knee near the dark haired mother his voice would lightly fill the air " Your name from now shall be Kotaishi. For you are a prince among loyal servants." The three maternity maids look upon the new family with joy. Cause for the first time the vicious Dark Dog of the Ookami looked truly happy.

The early days of Kotaishi's life were of his father continually being surprised and prideful in his son. The first week of his life Kotaishi grew beautiful ebony hair with a shine as bright as his mothers. His father quickly brought that to his packs attention. The pack honestly was confused with his behavior, though he was still strict and stern he would casually throw in praise of his son's progress into the mission. A month after growing his hair the boy would grow his baby canines, just how perfect could this kid get his father would think. Every time he went off on a long mission and came back, his other half would have wonderful news on their baby. When he returned one day he had gotten the best news a Ookami father could get. His son was born with wolf ears. This meant the blood in him was especially strong and that he would grow up to be a strong member in the clan. He was so happy that day, that he actually lifted Kotaishi mother up by her hips while she held the infant. To his father, this day couldn't get any better and probably hadn't.

The infant is now a toddler and is running around everywhere. He has an almost bottomless pit of energy and his laughter fill the walls of his father's estate. In the afternoons he goes out into the large field and run around until his battery is on E. He rarely sees his father, but his mother is always there, watching, protecting him. As if he was more of a treasure than a human, she was fully devoted to providing and keeping him safe. His ear would finally make themselves more define and he would be established as a special Ookami within the clan. His father returned home occasionally and would play with the boy. It hadn't matter how tired he was from his missions or how emotionally drained he was. To him his family's happiness was all that he needed to see. His son begin to eat meat during this time as well. It was good to know his son had such an apatite. Even if it was only the back of a lamb's torso. He still ate every bit. He would often smile towards his son's innocent face.

As the boy grew his taste for adventure would also grow. He wanted badly to travel out the walls of the Ookami clan, to see the village he lived in. His mother often changed the subject of things whenever he would ask. She would say your much to young, your only six. That combined with the beautiful smile that she would flash him was more than enough to soothe the boy's courageous heart. He could remember every detail of her beauty, her warm skin exhibited a glow that seemed supernatural. Her gray slated eyes only heighten the insane elegance of her stature. But most of all the one thing that stood out the most would be her hair. It was jet black with rivers of shine going down to her back. He wondered constantly how someones hair could be that shiny but never asked the question. He would only be met by another of her gentle smiles. One day though he was lucky enough to go, but he didn't get the welcome he was thinking.

On one of his fathers off days, Kotaishi would ask him the same question he had his mother. His father for a long time stared at his hopeful eyes. He wasn't sure exactly what his son thought it would be like, but it was time he learned just how different their clan was. The tall man dressed himself in a traditional Japanese robe, his ears loomed over his skull and his tail swayed in the back of it. Kotaishi was dressed in a loose hakama and robe as well. The two traveled to the Ookami's clan gate, it was closed shut as if to keep their clan and village separate. It raised questions for the boy, but he hadn't asked them. For his ears would twitch at his father's expecting voice "Kotaishi..." To the boy his fathers voice seemed wavering, as if not sure of his decision. He looked up at his father's golden eyes " Do not allow them to see you weak. If it begins to overwhelm you...Hold it in until you reach the gate." Kotaishi wondered what he meant by weak, how could someone see weakness and was the village beyond this gate that bad. It couldn't have been, it was so beautiful from the top of his estate.

The giant gates would open slowly letting the two precede out into the village. The boy's father held on softly to his son's hand as they walked down a spiraling mountain trail into the village. Walking on the dirt with sandels on felt weird, he could feel every pebble and mound on the ground. He wondered why he couldn't walk bare footed like he had behind the walls of the Ookami clan. They approached the village and the people could be seen, going about their daily lives. Kotaishi attempted to bolt out but was held steady by his father firm grip " Stay close Kotai." His father spoke with absolute authority but somehow maintained the feel of conservation. The two walked carefully through the village, following his father's lead Kotaishi would at the most look around at the villagers. As they entered the middle of the village, he begin to feel eyes of contempt gazing at him from all around. He felt like he had lost the hand of his father and was left alone in a dark void. The boy could here the snickering of adults and wondering questions of kids, but the most memorable phrase heard was that of pure hate " Why are those monsters out of there pin ?" As he begin to shed tears the grip of his father would bring him out of his darkness. His hand tightened around his son's hearing the comment. It was than that he knew what his father had spoken of earlier. To hide his weakness was to hold his tears in.

Kotaishi's head was held low as they approached the Ookami's gate again. It creaked open to allow just enough room for those two to enter. As the door closed, Kotaishi would begin to shed tears, he felt like he had deserved that hate, that was worst thing about it. While he cried he would feel the touch of his father hand on his head, he was bent down to his level so that he would know his son understood " Do not cry Kotai. You should never have to feel shame for your blood." His hand would ruffle his son's dark hair " It is them who should feel shame. For making my son cry." By this time Kotaishi's tears had dried and he looked upon his father's face with innocence, seeing his father smile for the first time. It was so large and cheerful. But it was also a barrier for the pain, for in his left eye dropped a tear that could not be contained. That was the first time he had ever seen his father cry and it would be the last for a very long time.

Kotaishi looks off at the village that showed him so much hatred back than. Now thirteen, he resembles his father greatly, his dark hair laid baggily against his skull as his ear loomed overhead. Today was another day in the academy and he dreaded leaving the safety of the walls. He found himself walking the floors of the estate before running into his father. As usual the question was simple " Are you ready for school ?" Kotaishi would simply raise his hand in a open salute " Yea Yea. I'm on the way now father." He would reply. And this happened every other day, so you can guess how routine it was. Once again he entered the school with pure animosity for the normal kids their. Especially the ones that he had to look forward to hearing insults from. It wasn't like he was asking for attention, but he couldn't help it. His ears were like a sign saying " Hey I'm weird. Come make fun of me. " Or at least it felt that way sometimes. He guess being that year's number one rookie wasn't helping either. As he trained at the academy that night, he was approached by five peers that had something in particular to say about his clan. The brawl ended with Kotaishi wiping blood off his lip and walking over the worn bodies of the five boys.

That night, when he returned through the gate of the Ookami he noticed the fleeing figures of shadows leaving from over the gate. Kotaishi was never one pry in the business of others, so he continued on his way back home. As he walked, the crowd of people begin to grow bigger and bigger, he started wondering just what was this important that it piled on the streets. In his impatience Kotaishi leaped onto the building in ran towards his house, he was afraid to think it, but it seemed like the crowd was all gathered around his home. He came upon his house and notice his home was in shambles. Kotaishi leaped over the walls and into the backfield, he called frantically for his mother and father until finally he could hear the voice Doju, one his father's comrades. Hurrying over to his voice he would see the his father being held in the arms of his weeping mother. Kotaishi hurried over to his mother, sliding to the side of his father. Tears begin to swell up in his eyes as he peered at him. He was bruised and bleeding, his right arm was broken, along with his right leg " What happen ?!" His words were struggling and he could barely speak but the man still maintained his strong stature. The man surrounding his father told him of the attack, saying when they arrive the assailants had ran away. Kotaishi in anger gripped the collar of his father's nearest comrade " Why didn't you do something ?! You piece of shit !!" The man just sat there taking the boy's insults for he knew not of the pain he was feeling but it had to be massive. Suddenly his father spoke through the coughs of blood " S..Son. Do you know what..My name stands for ? " His eyes were drained of all color and his mouth was stained with his dried blood " Yaseichi.." He said repeating his name in what seemed like inner peace" It means..F..Feral Blood.." His son looked at him, tears flowing down his cheeks while he spoke " I'am not of full Ookami.. but You are. Take pride in your clan and village. Become the Prince I know you areee." With that said his father's last breathe left his body and his liquid gold eyes had closed for the last time.

Yaseichi Ookami was buried the next day and his memorial was the next week. After that Kotaishi was offered a position into a pack but refused the offer. The coming years brought nothing but boredom to his life. He went on several mission with his team, including two C's and with a few successful missions he entered the chuunin exams. Kotaishi passed the trials with difficult but in the end was made chunin by the village head in the leaf. His track there left little to be desired, but he had to admit the leaf was indeed beautiful . To Kotaishi his father's last words were something that was pushing him to take over the clan. But he hadn't want that for himself. For now he would move up in the village and think of that future when the time came. He would have to find away to honor his father's last words, but how ? It would need to be the absolute best thing that he could do for his dad.
