Clan History: The Ketsueki clan (かぐや一族, Ketsueki Ichizoku) is a clan that has been deeply rooted in the Hyouga icelands. The Ketsueki and the Shichiyou are allies in most aspects though the Ketsueki are a more shadowed clan in comparison. The kekkei genkai of the Ketsueki gave them the ability to stay in such frozen temperatures with clothing that would be seen on tropical islands or beaches. This gave them the perfect advantage for passive training for the younger generation which would come naturally to them later in life. The clan aimed to strive and keep itself alive by all means, even if it meant the down playing of their own abilities in order to keep outsiders from fearing the Hyouga for any reason.

Bloodline Ability Description: Ketsuekijunkan (屍骨脈; Literally meaning "Blood Circulation") is the kekkei genkai of the Ketsueki clan, which give them the ability to manipulate their own blood (their endorphins and iron). By infusing their blood with chakra, they could manipulate the growth and properties of their blood to their liking. The ability seems to not manifest itself in all clan members.

Apparently, this ability gives the user a unique physical structure, as when a clan member is fatally ill, no doctors outside of the clan know how to treat them and claimed there had been too little information on their body to give any medical treatments.

The main capabilities of Ketsuekijunkan is allowing the user to manipulate the speed of their blood count as well as the location of iron deposits. This allows them to create weapons of blood that can either protrude from any part of the body, or pulled out and used like hand held weapons from open wounds/gashes. The user was also able to create armor of dense blood underneath their skin by collecting the iron in the bloodstream. Immediately after the blood weapon is pulled out, the broken skin heals only slightly though the bleeding is little, regardless of the wound. Although it seems it takes a bit longer for a limb to become usable again or unless the user replenishes the blood consciously. They can even fire droplet's of their blood as long-ranged projectiles. Any blood that they remove from the body immediately regenerates. Users can increase the density of the created blood weapons, making them stronger than steel. This not only makes the created weapons very powerful, but also makes their bodies virtually indestructible; the blood can withstand even a chakra-infused blade in some cases, which is usually enough to cut through anything. The blood structure can also be hollowed out completely.

From what is known from the users of this ability have shown, most of them are also taijutsu-based, which are used for close combat and defence. However, the blood can also grow quite a large volume, and likely spew from each other, as a form of a ninjutsu, and that he can emerge from any of these blood weapons.

The Ketsueki covet this ability greatly, stating the kekkei genkai granted the user an impenetrable frame, which can resist any type of physical attack. In addition, should a Ketsuekijunkan user ever go on the offensive, they could instantly turn their blood into the sharpest spear. Overall, the Ketsuekijunkan is considered to be the ultimate taijutsu ability, which is held in high regard.

Drawbacks: As anyone would guess, the use of one's blood is dangerous. Most members of the Ketsueki clan have anemia due to this kekkei genkai. Many of its members have died fighting either from being careless or from the sheer stress and overuse of the clan's techniques.

Description: This technique makes blood-chakra flow through the body at a higher rate to form a skin-deep armour. Despite encasing the user's body, the armour has no apparent affect on the user's speed or agility. The armour is shown to be able to defend from all forms of blunt-force trauma. At the same time, it enhances the user's strength for more powerful physical strikes and break free or through restraints and walls. Because this technique works by constantly absorbed blood, it requires no extra chakra after initiating it, yet still needs a sufficient amount of blood to be performed. While powerful, it is highly absorbent and too much fire or water will eventually affect the user's mobility and reduce its defensive might. Also, if in a muddy terrain, the user's excess weight can lead to sinking under.

Description: The user modifies one of their upper arms to produce a blade of hardened blood to create a weapon of variable size depending on the users will. The user can then, if the weapon permits, stab chaotically and continuously which causes the opponents eyes to lag behind. The speed resembles afterimages, the hand with the sword is again and again visibly projected. And yet the movement is irregular which makes it difficult to predict. With each thrust the sword's track is very capable of changing. The attack comes from unexpected angles, causing a person's delicate defense reaction to come off guard. Though one can have great reflexes and moving ability, it is next to impossible to keep dodging the fierce attack until it stops. Thus if one showed an opening, a finishing blow will be dealt by one stab in an instant. The user can use or limit the amount of blood used to change the weapon, its density or its overall look.

Description: The Ketsuekijunkan grows several long blood blades from his/her body for use as weapons. There isn't any set form for the technique. Just like a willow that is shaken by the wind, the opponents attacks are simply parried and countered. Uncharacteristic of a willow, the hardened blood puncture and damage the opponents body. Though the user primarily uses two blades grown from the palms of their hands, they also uses several secondary blades grown from their elbows, knees, and shoulders. This skill form is incredibly acrobatic, using spins, charges, and long sweeping slashes to make the strikes more effective and to evade opponents' counter strikes. The user can also extend their blood to attack there opponents without having to adjust their own movement.

Description: This is the second of the two strongest techniques. The user spits out a great volume of blood from their mouth mixed with water, swallowing up and crushing the enemy with the advancing surge. The user can ride the wave, allowing them to move at high speed, and attack the enemy, now swept off their feet, without fear of counter-attacks. The amount of blood created is proportional to the amount of chakra used. The blood then forms into a giant orb, instead of letting it flow freely to maximize its potential.
