The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Personality: Kenshi's diverse personality has been molded by the events and situations that he has experienced within his life. A prime example of this is his extreme regiment of training he puts his mind and body through every day. Due to his sister's travels, Kenshi's sister met many philosophers who shared their insight about life to her. One such philosopher was a samurai who had transcended his limits by working his body to near-exhaustion and his mind by meditation every day. Kenshi's sister trained under this samurai for a short while and integrated the self-discipline the samurai displayed into her own life. When she returned to Kenshi, she passed the teachings on to him, and enforced them with an iron fist. As a result, Kenshi pushes his mind and body past his limit everyday, surpassing his previous limitations each day. Kenshi hasn't let his standards and diligence be restricted to training, however, as he employs the attributes to which ever task falls upon him.
Before his sister's murder, Kenshi was told on more than one occasion that he outputted an aura that rivaled the sun in warmth. His previously friendly and personable nature led him to procure many friends over the course of his life, and has landed him in some pretty good situations because of it. However, this personality is a stark contrast to his current persona. Ever since his sister's murder, Kenshi has been cold and reserved, and others have not hesitated to tell him this in the past. Kenshi rarely speaks, only doing so when addressed by a superior or giving orders. This frigid demeanor that he wears has pushed away any hopes of relating to people, and as a result, Kenshi has become an individualist, preferring to be alone when possible. Even in light of this emotionless visage, there's more to Kenshi than meets the eye. Although he may seem cold and unapproachable, Kenshi enjoys helping civilians. Upon meditating, Kenshi attributes this to his memories of himself and his sister helping others in the various places they lived.
Even though Kenshi is very reserved and somber most times, he has proved he can be somewhat happy. This is normally the case when he's in the presence of a woman he likes. In addition to being around women, Kenshi usually warms up when he's eating and helping people. Nothing about Kenshi's past is known by his comrades, and mentions of his family are not taken personally, they just affect Kenshi and place him into a dark(er) mood.
While Kenshi displays a very somber and uncaring visage most of the time, in the depths of his mind he analyzes everything. Whether it be a combat situation or not, Kenshi is always on his toes. Some attribute this portion of his personality to his adolescence, in which he had to fight to survive, others argue it is due to the ninja life he has learned to adapt to. This aspect of Kenshi has its perks and has saved his skin on more occasions than one could count on their fingers and toes. Kenshi's analytic nature has also helped him survive, as years of practice has led given him the ability to notice if most people are lying. Although his actions do not necessarily illustrate it, Kenshi is very intelligent. The constant meditation and exercising of the mind has led him to become an excellent philosopher and strategist. This has its perks in battle, as he is able to think of attacks, counters, and maneuvers within a moment's notice. The philosophical aspect has also led Kenshi to eliminate some of the smaller demons that have tormented him in the past, yet bigger ones still affect him to this day.
As far as shinobi life goes, one could label Kenshi as a no-nonsense leader. His ability to come up with strategies and counters on the spot has proved to be a useful ability in the midst of battle, and his insight on battle has proved to be invaluable. An opposition to his cold behavior, Kenshi has proven to be a protector of his comrades during several instances. One such instance where Kenshi was forced to surrender a successful mission because he ordered his squad to retreat, therefore ensuring their safety.
Likes: Due to his rather violent upbringing, Kenshi has been placed in a disposition toward violence, and detests the idea of total peace; however, Kenshi will not hesitate to be friendly to others, if he deems the person in question a valuable ally. This situation is fairly common. One of the main staples of Kenshi's life has been training, and after years of diligently honing his skills, it has become one of the countless things he enjoys doing. Kenshi also enjoys the flavor of cinnamon and the coppery taste of blood. Kenshi also enjoys the company of women.
Dislikes: As a consequence of his thirst for violence, Kenshi has learned to dislike the typical "white-knights" of the world; The people who reject the idea of conflict and instead vouch for peace and tranquility. In addition, Kenshi abhors harming civilians, particularly women; if he finds a rapist, there is little chance they will go on to live. Kenshi also hates the taste of sweets, specifically chocolate.
Motivation: Kenshi, as of now, has no true motivation. He merely goes where life takes him, doing as he pleases along the way.
Fears: While not possessing any extraordinary phobias or fears, Kenshi doesn't particularly enjoy the idea of being trapped in a closed place while water fills up the space.
Bloodline Ability: Being a wielder of the Kadouton kekkai-genkai entails many things, and bestows upon the user a variety of abilities. Throughout the generations of Akatsuka that have shown signs of the Kadouton, they have either had an adept control over the two abilities, or complete mastery of one. The abilities are as follows:
Mitsukai Raikou (Angelic Lightning)
With this variant of the Kadouton kekkai-genkai, the user may utilize the energy found within the ions in the air, break apart the bonds holding an ionic molecule together, and harness the energy released from the broken bonds. From here, the user can add a touch of lightning chakra to serve as a catalyst, and the energy released from the broken bond will be turned into lightning. The lightning can then be directed and shifted into various forms, fulfilling its purpose as a combative kekkai-genkai. To a non-Akatsuka, it looks as if the user creates lightning out of nowhere. Due to the chakra laced throughout the lightning, it is nowhere near as bright as a lightning strike, but is brighter than a standard raiton attack. This process occurs in under a second, and the lightning's speed while traveling depends on the proficiency of the user:
D-Rank - 10 m/s C-Rank - 30 m/s B-Rank - 40 m/s A-Rank - 50 m/s S-Rank (Mastery) - 70 m/s
-
Aku Hisote (Devilish Flames)
With this variant of the Kadouton kekkai-genkai, the user may utilize the energy found within the atoms in the air, break apart the bonds holding a covalent molecule together, and harness the energy released from the broken bonds. From here, the user can add a touch of fire chakra to serve as a catalyst, and the energy released from the broken bond will be turned into fire. The fire can then be directed and shifted into various forms from a distance, fulfilling its purpose as a combative kekkai-genkai. To a non-Akatsuka, it looks as if the user procures fire out of nowhere. All fire attacks travel at a rate of 25 m/s. This process occurs in under a second, and the fire's temperature while depends on the proficiency of the user:
D-Rank - 100 K C-Rank - 300 K B-Rank - 500 K A-Rank - 1000 K S-Rank (Mastery) - 2000 K
In addition, if one is gifted with adept control over both abilities, the fire and lightning can be converged within one another, creating an attack that hits with blinding speed and devastating damage; however, such attacks can only be obtained once the user is of A-Rank level.
Location: Hyougagakure, Kazangakure, Shippugakure
Clan History: The Akatsuka clan was first revered as a ninja clan within the confines Hyougagakure. From its inception into the ninja ranks and through various wars and conflict, the clan gained notoriety as one of the fiercest clans within the nations. As the clan grew and grew and the bloodline continued to reveal itself among members, tensions brewed between the respective abilities, and the clan split into two factions: the Mitsu-Akatsuka, and the Aku-Akatsuka. Both factions would leave Hyougagakure in order to achieve an adequate amount of space between one-another. Their plans were dashed when Hyougagakure prevented them from leaving, as they were one of the key factions in the military, and the devastating bloodline was invaluable.
The Akatsuka fought for their independence on separate sides of the border, and with Hyouga torn between the respective factions, they were eventually able to snake their way out of Hyouga's iron grip; however, due to the intense battle the occurred while both factions left, the numbers of the Akatsuka diminished extraordinarily. The Mitsu-Akatsuka that were left would find their way to Shippugakure, while the remnants of the Aku-Akatsuka would find their way to Kazangakure. The clan members that held the ability to procure and manipulate both fire and lightning were known as the Kadou-Akatsuki, and the very few members there was stayed in Hyouga while the rest parted. The disobedience shown by the Akatsuka clan to Hyougagakure shinobi created an intense prejudice toward any Akatsuka members that remained in Hyouga, and as a result, the Kadou-Akatsuka were discriminated against by those who lost their loved ones in the conflict between Akatsuka and Hyouga.
History
History:
Birth-Arc
Spoiler:
The conflict between the two factions of Akatsuka had become mundane. It started off as a simple debate over which side was better: the ones who could twist and warp fire, or the ones who could make lightning dance and crackle. The tensions between the two just grew, and grew, and grew until finally the debate soon evolved into something much bigger, and soon the fighting consumed the entire clan. Nobody knew which side attacked first, but regardless blood was spilled on both sects and spilled by both sects. It wasn't long before the two factions split, and fled Hyougagakure. The Hidden Village of the Glacier wouldn't take such disrespect by one of their most trusted instruments, and held both sides of the Akatsuka with a vice grip. This, in turn, brewed more conflict; this time between the Akatsuka and Hyougagakure. Although the Hyouga ninja regime was large, the Akatsuka were not helpless, and the Akatsuka revolt would go down in Hyouga history as one of the most devastating things to happen to the village; countless numbers of casualties on both sides. The Akatsuka were able to escape, and the two factions went on to claim asylum in Kazan and Shippu; however, the few members of the clan that could control both fire and lightning remained in Hyouga. This would prove unwise, as the large conflict between the Akatsuka and Hyouga had forever marked one who held the Akatsuka name as a treasonous fiend. And they were treated as such. To cope with such mistreatment, the Akatsuka went into hiding within Hyouga; one such Akatsuka was a man named Ryo.
Ryo was one of the Akatsuka who held the ability to manipulate both fire and lighting, one of the Akatsuka who had to watch helplessly as their own brothers senselessly killed one another over something as stupid as pride. After being forced into hiding, as to avoid being killed for holding the Akatsuka name, Ryo was able to find a partner in a young woman named Izumi; and it was not long before the two conceived. Hitomi was born first, a beautiful baby girl, then Kenshi five years later, a healthy boy. As the years went on, Ryo would live happily with his family in the dingy home they had occupied. That is, until the day Hitomi was almost raped arrived on the Akatsuka's doorstep. The culprits? Two Chuunin, with their dicks out of their pants and ready to “celebrate” their recent promotion from Genin. Once Ryo came across his daughter's frail form being kicked and spat on in an alley, he went into a blind rage. You see, Ryo was a tall, burly man; his six and a half feet height and two-hundred pound physique was enough to make anybody shiver in fear. That is, anybody except ninja. The two Chuunin foolishly rushed the Akatsuka man, and Ryo was able to make short work of them. It took the medical examiner twelve weeks to identify the charred remains. However, several more ninja were nearby and felt the chakra flare from Ryo's kekkai-genkai, and he was immediately executed for treason. Hitomi scuddled back home, being allowed to leave by the Jounin, as there was no record of her being of Akatsuka blood. Izumi couldn't bring herself to tell her darling little boy why daddy wasn't coming home that night. Not soon afterwards, Izumi would contract tuberculosis. It was a fairly new disease that had claimed countless lives already. After many months of struggling with the disease, fighting tooth and nail in order to be there for her children, Izumi died, leaving Hitomi and Kenshi orphans.
Genin Arc
Spoiler:
The Akatsuka orphans had to survive somehow. Knowing they would survive long in Hyougagakure due to the village's disposition against Akatsuka members (as well as general inhospitality,) they packed essentials and fled Hyougagakure like their predecessors had done a generation before them. The orphans would go on to travel across the nations, doing favors for others in return for money in order to survive. The constant monotony of travel would soon take its toll on Kenshi, who came down with a terrible illness. Hitomi was able to find a temporary home for Kenshi to rest in, stealing funds from others and sending them to him to pay for the lodging. Whilst traveling, Hitomi came across a traveler who happened to be a philosopher – as well as a retired ninja. After explaining her and Kenshin's life story to the man, he agreed to teach her the basics of being a ninja. Such teachings included the fundamentals of self-discipline, ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Since Hitomi also let the man know that she was an Akatsuka, he pushed her to her breaking point, and as a result, she unlocked her kekkai genkai – the ability to control lightning. After several months of this training, Hitomi was able to return to a recovered Kenshi and relay what she had learned to him. Hitomi was no pushover, and she pushed her brother easily twice as hard as she had been. It wasn't long before Kenshi's kekkai genkai unveiled itself – the ability to make flame dance at his whim. The siblings would spend the next five years honing their skills, reaching genin level in strength, and training their kekkai genkai to new-found levels.
The two would return to Hyougagakure, confident that their new found proficiency in the ninja arts would be well accepted by the village. And it was. The two gained access to the village under fake names; after all, they had to be somewhat secretive about it. Hitomi was given the rank of Chuunin, and Kenshi the rank of Genin. They completed various mission in order to live, spending paycheck after paycheck and enjoying their new life of comfort; however, this was all soon to be erased by an unfortunate occurrance. While on a mission, Hitomi was forced to use her kekkai genkai in order to prevent one of her comrades from getting killed, and her Jounin captain reported it to the leader of the village. The two siblings were brought before the leader, and interrogated side-by-side. Hitomi spilled everything about her past, yet failed to mention anything about Kenshi being her biological brother. The two were to be imprisoned until a verdict could be reached regarding Hitomi; but while in the confines of a jail cell, the two siblings received an unexpected visit from two Chuunin guards. As it turned out, the two were siblings as well, and had lost their parents as a result of the Akatsuka revolt. The two then proceeded to make Kenshi watch as Hitomi was beaten senseless, and then raped before his eyes. Then the one thing that Kenshi prayed to God never to happen, happened. One of the Chuunin swiftly took out a kunai, spat of Hitomi's bruised face, and sliced her neck open. In a fury of blind rage, Kenshi was able to melt his restraints with his kekkai genkai, and then kill the guards in the most unorthodox of ways – at least for Kenshi. As it turns out, Kenshi was a carrier for wielding both of the Akatsuka's kekkai genkai, and he ended up electrocuting the two Chuunin to death. With his sister dead, and now enemy to all of Hyougagakure, he fled like he did six years before.
Chuunin Arc
Spoiler:
After his sister's death, Kenshi fell into a deep depression. The tiny apartment he rented out in a village nearby Konoha was unkempt and dirty, and all he would do is lay in bed all day. It wasn't until he heard a couple of thugs about to assault a woman that Kenshin was finally able to break through his depression. He sprung out of bread, and jumped out of his window, running to the nearby alley and creating a human barbecue out of the would-be assailants. The boy, now twelve years of age, realized he need to go someplace where he could help people and maintain the rush he felt when he entered combat. Such place would be a Hidden Village. Kazan and Shippu were immediately out of the picture, as the addition of a new kind of Akatsuka could reignite the feud all over again, something Kenshi sure as hell didn't want. If he joined another major Hidden Village, chances are there could be war, but he could also be well-recognized as an Akatsuka, so those were out of the hat as well. After a small meditation, Kenshi decided Boufuu would be the best. It was relatively secluded and had not gotten into any conflicts, yet. It was not long before Kenshi arrived before the entrance to the village and was able to join its ninja ranks as a Chuunin, his kekkai genkai playing a valuable rank in his promotion from Genin to Chuunin.
Jounin Arc
Spoiler:
After completing countless missions for upwards of five years, Kenshi was promoted to Jounin by the leader of the village. The first mission he was sent on as a Jounin required the slaughter of a cult on the outskirts of the Boufuugakure. The mission was completed with relative ease, and upon its initial completion, Kenshi was covered by the crimson blood of his opponents. It was in this moment Kenshi received his taste for blood and upon his returning to the village, his moniker "Akai no Kenshi." Now, he spends his time completing missions and honing his kekkai genkai abilities.
RP Sample:
Kenshi walked through the village streets, looking at every building he passed, trying to remember their purpose and who owned them. It was an exercise he had made for himself to try and train his memory. He managed to remember the purpose of a couple of the buildings that he had been into a lot, but he had trouble remembering the owners of some of the buildings, even some that he had been to multiple times in his life. It bugged him that his memory was so horrible, and he hoped that soon it would get better.
He knew that his parents worried about him a lot, especially his mother. She was always afraid that he would be found-out, and whenever he left the house she begged him to stay, out of fear that he would wonder off then get captured by the hostile Hyouga ninja. Sometimes Kenshi worried about that as well, but he made sure to keep out of plain sight, just in case. He also figured that it wouldn't happen, seeing as he looked no different than a regular citizen, and didn't know how to use jutsu.
As he walked he felt a couple of drops of water fall into his long hair, and looked up at the sky, noticing the dark clouds over head. He then pulled his dark hood over his face, and began to walk home. It wasn't a long walk, but he was drenched by the time he got into the house. He was greeted by his mother, who gave him a hug as he walked through the door. He gave her a big hug in return, thankful that he had such a loving mother. He then told his mother that he loved her and walked up the stairs and into his room, where he threw his jacket onto a chair and then fell onto his bed.

Due to the village member restrictions that were implemented not long ago, I couldn't have joined Nadarehakure; therefore, I change my village to Boufuu.
