Personality:

It would not be unwise to say that Keiji is a living interpretation of the symbolic relationship between yin and yang - the polar opposites interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and that give rise to each other.

Yang -- the most noticeable between the two of Keiji's personality. It is immediately clear to anybody who meets Keiji that he is a charmer. Whether it be the confidence he displays when speaking, or the twinges of quirkiness that display themselves upon his face, or a mixture of the two, there is a certain aspect of Keiji's that makes him an overall personable fellow. In public, one can always find Keiji smiling and enjoying himself, entertaining others with his bright personality. While some may find the happiness Keiji displays over what seemes to be nothing overbearing or annoying, most view it as a desirable trait in a friend, which has enabled Keiji to procure and retain mutual friendships with most people he meets. Keiji embraces the core values of Nordic chivalry, being kind to all, giving glory to his gods, and protecting the innocent from evil (including himself).

Yin -- the more obscure between the two of Keiji's personality. While outputting a genuine, friendly demeanor, Keiji is never un-alert, knowing all too well how swift death is dealt to those who are complacent with safety. The quirky aspects mentioned before are a side-effect of this ever-present search for danger. Due to the witness of his parents' brutal murder and being literally almost bathed in blood, Keiji was placed in a disposition towards bloodshed and killing. However, this goes against the most sacred doctrines of his beliefs, both religious and philosophical. To mediate between being pure and to keep from going on a rampage, Keiji only kills those who he deems are not worthy of their life. It is not unusual for Keiji to kill, torture, or maim murderers, rapists, or other serious criminals. The darkest part of Keiji is the intense desire to find the ones who took his parents' lives, and take theirs as retribution.

In the simplest terms possible, Keiji is an honestly kind person with a dark past.

Likes:
Due to his violent disposition, in combination with the limitations he puts on himself due to his own philosophy and religion, Keiji enjoys granting death to those who deserve it. In addition, Keiji has always enjoyed the sound of rain, as the gentleness of it induces an atmosphere of tranquility. Another thing Keiji is very knowledgable in and enjoys thoroughly is the field of music, including theory and listening to it.

Dislikes:
Even in light of his early past in which he enjoyed doing so, Keiji now dislikes the thought of sleep. He would much rather spend his time doing something productive instead, such as training or studying new types of jutsu or history. In addition, Keiji also hates the sensation of itchiness and extreme heat. There is nothing Keiji dislikes more about traveling to other places than learning that the weather his destination may or may not be sweltering in nature.

Motivation:
Keiji has many goals despite his very low status as a genin within Boufuugakure. He considers the goal he has of the utmost importance would be to find the group of men and avenge his parents' death. Another motivation Keiji has is the promotion and spreading of his philosophy in which to help the world: help those who are righteous and good-hearted, and punish those who would threaten to disrupt the peace that the others produce.

Fears:
Essentially none warranting placement here, as the one fear Keiji ever had (losing his family) already was made a reality, and he has come to terms with it. The worse that Keiji can fathom in the current time is himself dying before being able to avenge his mother and father. Keiji also fears of what he may become if his view of his guidelines for killing becomes skewed or tainted.



Uchiha

Bloodline Name:
Sharingan, Mangekyou Sharingan

Bloodline Ability:
The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan can tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular.

The Sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like pencil movements. As the Sharingan evolves, gaining more tomoe seals, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user. However, even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not have time to react.

The Sharingan's third and most well-known ability is that it grants the user the ability to memorize any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from other kekkei genkai techniques. The user can memorize ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as their own, or even modify them to create their own new techniques. In order to reproduce a copied jutsu, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them. In addition to physical skill and kekkei genkai techniques, the Sharingan cannot reproduce jutsu dependent on other factors, such as summons that the user has not signed a contract with.

The Sharingan's final commonly-used ability is capable of inducing a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent through genjutsu cast by simple eye contact. More advanced Sharingan users can take the hypnosis ability even further to the point where a powerful summons or even Bijuu’s may be controlled. When this was used against summons and the Bijuu’s their eyes took on the tomoe pattern of the users' Sharingan while under hypnotic influence.

The hypnotic ability coupled with the other aspects of the Sharingan, can make the user appear as if they can "see the future". First, the user must perfectly mimic every move their opponent makes and possibly their thoughts and words through careful observation. Then, they suggest an action to the opponent such as hand seals for a jutsu that the opponent and Sharingan user already know and copy that. With these things done, the user can complete the action even before the opponent does, possibly using the Sharingan's genjutsu to confuse or delay them. As with other genjutsu, genjutsu cast by the Sharingan are capable of putting an opponent to sleep, inducing paralysis, replaying memories to someone else, or creating various illusions to deceive someone. The potency of the Sharingan's illusion is dependent on the user's knowledge and skill with implementing genjutsu.

Although the Sharingan consumes the user's chakra while active, the chakra levels that the user must exert is so insignificant that they can keep it active constantly. However, when a Sharingan is transplanted to a non-Uchiha, the chakra drain is significant, leading them to cover it up when not in use, to stop the drain.

The Mangekyō Sharingan gives the user access to several powerful techniques, including the powerful fire jutsu Amaterasu and the almost unbreakable genjutsu Tsukuyomi. The Mangekyō Sharingan erodes the eyesight of its users, eventually causing blindness, which can be prevented by obtaining another pair of Mangekyō Sharingan from a sibling. The new Sharingan is dubbed the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Clan History:
The Uchiha clan descended from the elder of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. The elder brother inherited the Sage's "eyes", powerful chakra and spiritual abilities. When it came time for the Sage to choose a successor, he questioned the two on what course of action they would follow to bring order to the world. The elder believed that might was the way to bring peace, while the younger believed love was the way. The Sage favoured the ideal of the younger brother, and therefore designated the younger as his successor, causing the elder to be filled with jealousy and hatefulness. From the younger son descended the Senju clan who would be the eternal rivals of the Uchiha.

Before the founding of the ninja villages, the Uchiha were one of the many mercenary clans for hire. Because of their Sharingan, the Uchiha clan came to be known as one of the two strongest clans, the other being the Senju clan. As time passed the Uchiha grew stronger, conquering whatever clans they came upon, such that, whenever the Uchiha clan was hired for a job, the opposing side would hire the Senju, and vice versa.

The Senju clan, grew tired of the endless fighting, and approached the Uchiha clan with a peace treaty. The leader at that time feared that an alliance would lead the Uchiha to ruin, but his clan disagreed, and he was forced to accept. The two clans came together to form Kusamugakure, with the leader of the Senju Clan, being selected as kage. They turned their backs on those who opposed the overall decision, and they defected. Now the Uchiha clan slowly regained their influence in peacetime but what happens next will depend on the generations to come.




History:

Childhood

Uchiha Keiji was born on a hot summer's night in the land outlining Boufuugakure to two loving parents. The family was close-knit until tragedy struck, and both of Keiji's parents were listed as casualties after slavers struck the village in which they lived. It was assumed that Keiji's parents gave their lives as to not let their child be conscripted into a life of slavery. A ninja patrol of Boufuu discovered the remnants of the village and the sole survivor of the attack: Uchiha Keiji, left traumatized after the attack. The mental abilities of the child were not hindered in any way; however, the violence and bloodshed of the fateful night left him with night terrors and the knowledge that his parents were cut down in front of him.

Before fulfilling his role as a shinobi of Kusamugakure, Uchiha Keiji was, in the simplest of terms, a lazy child. While most his age would be found engaging in games with others and socializing, Keiji would prefer to remain indoors and sleep. This lethargic lifestyle led to an awkward start in school, in which Keiji continued to be rather introverted. As was frequent of children in the age frame, Keiji was ridiculed and bullied by his peers as a result of his timidity, which only escalated as age also increased. By the time Keiji was 10 years of age, he was physically assaulted nearly every day, beaten to a pulp by a trio of know bullies. Striving to become stronger and ward off any future assailants, Keiji enlisted in the ninja academy.

Feverishly learning the book material, Keiji graduated ahead of his class, becoming one of the first to engage in learning actual ninjutsu and taijutsu arts. One of the instructors at the academy quickly noted the progress that Keiji was making, labeling him as a potential candidate for rookie of the year. It took roughly six years since his parents' brutal killings, but Keiji was finally able to say that he was proud of the work he had done. Whereas in the past he would lie in bed letting evils torment him, he would now combat the very same evils by training until his knuckles tore, his feet bled, and his body collapsed from exhaustion.

The instructors were immensely surprised and disappointed when they learned of Keiji's exit from the ninja academy. Keiji had not seen why he would be missed - he had learned what he needed at the academy, and changed his lifestyle as a result. Returning to normal public schooling, the now-twelve year old was pleased to see that the same trio of bullies that had made his early childhood a living hell were still up to their un-noble antics. Becoming a target by appearing to be his old self, hunched shoulders, looking at the ground, appearing weak and afraid, it was only a matter of time before the bullies struck.

It was the same as last time, first came the insults "emo fag," "pussy," and the like. It didn't bother Keiji at all, he had learned to block out most of their words just through focusing on something else, and he wouldn't fight them if they didn't attack first. The indifference to their words Keiji was displaying aggravated the bullies further and further, until the one phrase he had never heard in his life was muttered by the strongest of the group: "your mom gives nice blowjobs." Keiji froze mid-step among chorus of "oohs" and laughter. Something within him snapped. His body seemingly moving of its own accord, Keiji simply smirked as he continually smashed his old assailant's head into the ground, painting the floor-tiles red after one smack.

The assault of the trio of bullies left Keiji expelled and nowhere to go -- his landlord had canceled the lease on the apartment after word got around that one of his tenants was almost convicted of a crime. The same night of the assault, Keiji noticed that he had no nightmares during his sleep. Within the next couple of days as he lived on the streets, Keiji ran into one of his former instructors from the ninja academy. The instructor implored Keiji that he return and finish his training so that he could become a full-fledged ninja. Seeing no other option, Keiji accepted, living within one of the dormitories at the academy. During one of the many spars between students at the academy, Keiji spilled an immense amount of blood considering the nature of the fight, hospitalizing the other fighter for several days; that next day, Keiji noticed he had no nightmares, much like after he nearly-killed his past-assailant. After days of thought and research, Keiji concluded that he had to spill blood in order to remain at peace with the world around him.

RP Sample:

Keiji sighed, examining the man who he was about to engage in combat. He had seen the man at a pub before the preliminaries of the exam even began. The man was despicable, Keiji couldn't count the numbers of times he had witnessed his opponent grope women, insult others, and assault those weaker to him. Keiji's nonchalance quickly turned into an expression of longing and impatience; he wanted this man's blood on his hands and he wanted it now. The second the words left the proctor's mouth Keiji dashed forward with speed that his opponent had no hopes of matching. Bring his fist up into a devastating uppercut, Keiji sent the teen into the air. Keiji jumped up, seizing his airborne opponent and throwing him towards the ground. A chorus of pain-filled "ahs" made their way around the arena's audience as the boy landed face first into the congregation of jagged rock.

Keiji walked toward the motionless body, drawing his kunai and ready to deal the final blow. When just ten feet away from his soon-to-be kill, a jounin - maybe the opponent's sensei, stopped him. Looking into his eyes with a blank stare, Keiji quickly realized who this man was. The smug expression on the man's face matched the one on one of the mens' faces who killed his parents on that fateful night long ago. Erupting into a blind rage, Keiji closed the distance between them with incredible speed, jounin-level at least. The man had no chance to react as the genin from Keiji clutched his neck and slammed him into the ground, crushing his windpipe to a degree. A muffled "dumb bitch deserved to die" was all it took for Keiji to kill the man, ripping out his throat as he tossed him aside like a ragdoll, Keiji barely knew what happened when the man exploded in an excellent display of energy.

Keiji sighed, feeling as if an enormous weight had been lifted off of his shoulders.
