As the sun began to rise over the beautiful horizon of the Hidden Jungle Village, the water rolling through the river, the light bouncing off of it, giving it a beautiful, bright hue. A thin mist covered the surrounding area, making things hard to see. It would be hard to notice the young man sitting on a rock, if it weren't for the sunlight that hit the water droplets, seemingly making them sparkle in the light. A small rainbow could be seen at any angle that you looked at, when you look into the mist. The forest around the river created almost a roof, in case rain began to fall. The large leaves and branches would shade anyone from a great deal of the drops of water, but not all.

The light poked through the leaves and branches of the trees high above, shining light down upon the dark haired individual that sat on a rather small rock. He sat shirtless, his top strewn on the ground a few yards away. He was without shoes or socks, and his shorts were for swimming, and not much else. They were perfectly dry, and the young man sat cross legged, his mind intently on a book he was reading.

Rumi sat there, unaware of his surroundings, unaware that he had made plans to read for a bit, before taking a dive into the river and enjoying the beauty of nature around him. But his novel, titled The Art of War, was engrossing, and he was reading way more than he had originally planned. Starting the book the previous night, Rumi had successfully read halfway through it by now. This book was the reason he was up so early. That, and maybe he could hopefully get some quiet time to speak to the Ichibi, who was otherwise silent.

The One-Tailed beast was odd, as it never spoke on it's own. The Bijû never uttered a single noise unless Rumi was the first one to instigate it. It was slightly irritating, but if Rumi was to gain the Chakra Beasts trust, he was to first follow its rules. The seal which claimed the Bijû rested on Rumis right pec, the seal looking like any ordinary tattoo, nothing about it particularly striking. It's blue color was in contrast to Rumis otherwise pale skin, but that seemed to be it.

So this is the Kusamuragakure river! Incredible!


Kotaro was on top of a tree branch towering over a great many others, gazing and taking in the misty yet beautiful scenery. In the mist covering the forest and river Kotaro spotted a rainbow, his eyes behind the sharp sunglasses staring into its beauty. Of course rainbows weren't knew to him. In Hyougagakure there were plenty due to the ice formations around the area. But still, it was rare to see a river that wasn't frozen in his home village. One reason why the rainbow on a wet surface intrigued him.

Kotaro was a tall young man, aged 17 he was 6'3", quite tall. His body was sculpted near perfectly from his fathers constant training as well as his time on the road as a musician. Behind the sharp dark sunglasses were a pair of crimson eyes native to that of the Kuya clan, bright silver white hair emblazoned his head, spiked out and long. His skin was slightly tanner then those from his village, albeit not by much, since he had been traveling most of his early life. On his back was a large black seal that covered practically his entire back torso, two others on the top of his hands, though all the seals were covered by clothing.

The clothing he wore however was a bit odd for someone from the Hidden Glacier village. His ninja headband was around his neck, though made not to choke him out. The only thing on his torso was a large black trench coat, tattered at the tail as if it had been shredded or worn out great at some point. The collar was large but instead of sticking outward went upwards before jutting out diagonally a bit, gold crosses emblazoned upon it. It was the only clothing on his torso and was opened upon the front, revealing his bare sculpted chest. His lower body was covered by dark pants and shoes, a silver cross emblazoned upon his belt. His hands were covered by black finger-cut gloves with cross shapes cut out upon them as well, metal studs along a comfortable area around the knuckles to aid in fist fighting just a tad. Though they wouldn't do much at all.

He was leaning forwards on the branch, hand over his eyes to cancel out as much glare as he could to aid his sunglasses as he admired the sight. It was then that he caught site of what appeared to be a silhouette in the mist. It appeared to be sitting, a bit hunched over, either sleeping or looking at something. 

Kotaro quirked an eyebrow and stood up straight, looking down at the river. "Well...." He rubbed the back of his head and thought his idea over. "Might as well...." He said leaping off of the tree and landing at the riverbed. He knelt down and placed a hand in the cool water. "Its...warm....Huh not sure why I'm surprised." He chuckled to himself before looking up at the figure hidden in the fog before him. Now that he was closer he could make out dark hair and that he was only wearing shorts, reading a book. Light seemed to shine down on him as well.

Well that looks like divine judgement. He laughed to himself.

A familiar, yet uncommon voice echoed softly through Rumis head, breaking his intense concentration of his book. The voice was not Rumis, nor Kotaros. It belonged to the ancient One-Tailed Chakra Beast. It's voice resonated in the Chûnins mind, and his head jerked up, surprised that the Bijû had spoken to him. The beast has always been a quiet one, not one to talk very much, so this sudden interjection was one that should be taken note of, as it was something special.

There's someone there. Look. The voice spoke to Rumi quickly and quietly. The Ichibi was not one to hold a conversation, or say more than a few words to Rumi at any given time. While Rumi has been the host of it for many years, he was still unable to communicate freely with him, or use him to his advantage in any sorts. It was slightly unfortunate that the 21 year old Chûnin was on his own, without this all-powerful beast aiding him in all his missions, in the Exams, in any fight he had ever had. He had a gift, yet he was burdened to never use it unless the beast himself was willing, which he obviously wasn't

Rumi looked to his left, his back and head straightening as he looked to see the person that the trapped beast spoke of. It's words were true, as a younger male stood slightly in the distance. Rumi could tell almost immediately that the teen wasn't from the Jungle Village, as he didn't look like he was from there to begin with. Rumi spoke a thanks to the Chakra Beast, his graciousness evident, yet the One-Tail stayed silent, its greatness sulking back into the depths of Rumis mind, to be silent and disappear once again, coming out only when it was wanted.

Rumi took a deep breath, before looking back to his book, his eyes scanning the words, and his mind absorbing and retaining the information. Yet Rumi kept one ear open on the other guy, in case he were to try anything of sorts, whether it be attack or introduce himself, Rumi would be completely prepared for this man to make any sort of introduction. Other than that, Rumi was back to his previous position.
