The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Subject: Out of the cold [Kara/Invite] Mon Jun 10, 2013 6:10 pm
Xavier, after weeks and weeks of having to debate with the seniors in his village, was finally allowed outside of its gates although he had to have at least one escort with him. Xavier and his new escort had made their way to the Cherry Blossom country where they would spend a few days inside the village of Kusamagakure. Today Xavier didn't really feel the need to have someone following him around so he would sneak out as soon as the sun breached the horizon, climbing out the window and out into the forest. The sun would now be making it's way into the sky slowly as X traversed the woods if anything he was probably lost but it was fine with him he just wanted to be able to take it all in for once instead of being rushed around the village by his 'escort'. Xavier's train of thought would be disrupted when he heard the sound of rushing water, picking up his pace he would make his way to the sound. He found himself standing before a rather large river didn't seem to end. He would approach the water, scoop some of it in his hands and splash it upon his face, it was rather cool but refreshing. He would take a seat beside the water and just relax some as the current surged forward on it's never ending path.
Xavier would lay down on his back and stare up at the sky, this was his first time visiting this village but he felt like it wasn't it seemed as if he had been here before, that or the relaxing feeling he had was making him think that way either way he was at peace. Unknown to Xavier at the time he would slowly drift off to sleep letting his dreams come forward and take shelter within his mind, when was the last time he had a dream like this? Normally all his nights were filled with nightmares and heartaches but now, for once he was resting peacefully, he wished it could always be like this...

There was something calming about the river by the forest, maybe it was the fact that this was really near the place that he had become the man he was nowadays, or maybe it was simply because the sound of running water was one of the most calming things in the world. Despite everything that Kara knew, and that was a lot, he had never quite been able to understand what it was about the human's subconscious that made rivers so relaxing. He was sure that if he asked grandfather, he'd probably know, but to disturb him with something so trivial would be a great waste of his power and responsibility, so he kept quiet. He walked as silent as a shadow crossing the land, moving down the shoreline until he came to something that he had not expected to see.
There was someone that he didn't know, just stood in the water, drinking from it like he hadn't drunk something in quite a while. Now. normally, one would not be worried so much by the fact that they didn't know someone from the village, but Kara wasn't just someone. He had a memory that was so strong most people were sure that he had a way to remember it rather than simply letting it all sink in. If he walked down a street, he could remember most people's faces, and he had a skill with names that very few did. So, if he didn't know him, that meant that he was not from the village. Not that that was necessary a bad thing, but he was in the village's territory. What was he doing here? He was going to have to keep his guard up and try to approach him.
As the boy moved to go to sleep, Kara slipped out of the trees, approaching him as slowly as possible. Moving closer and closer, he eventually hovered over him, before crouching next to him. A single hand movement and his kunai was out and little more than a centimeter away from the poor guy's throat. He wouldn't feel it, but it was still close enough to be a major threat. He didn't want to waste his voice on someone who could just be an attacker, so instead he merely cleared his throat very loudly, the same way one might if they were trying to get attention... which, in a way was exactly what he was aiming for. The voice of his Grandfather in his head was warning him to be careful, that if he wasn't his enemy before, the knife to the throat wasn't going to be helping anything. Unfortunately, cynicism and intelligence made a rather unpleasant combination, and so he understood that, whilst it wasn't a nice thing to do, it was necessary.

Xavier's dream continued as he slept he was unaware that someone had decided to hold him at knife point while he was asleep. The thoughts in his head slowed and ceased when a random sound could be heard, if anything it sounded like someone else entirely outside of his head. Everything froze and slowly started to fade away as he was beginning to wake up, he didn't want to but his body knew something that he didn't and was probably attempting to get him to realize that. Xavier would open his eyes slowly only to be meet with some strange guy holding a kunai at his throat, how nice. Xavier felt no need for panic if he died he believed it was somewhat his fault, falling asleep in a foreign place like this you have to always be on your guard. He would sigh "soooo you woke me up from my nap because?..." he looked up at the guy and waited for his response, there had to be a reason he woke Xavier up if he wanted to kill him he could of did so while X slept, maybe he was one of those psycho killers that like the thrill of seeing the terrified face of his victims before he killed um, well he would be at a loss there sense Xavier still had a rather calm demeanor about him so what was it?

Good, this guy wasn't a heavy sleeper, as he woke up pretty quickly after he cleared his throat. Looking down at the guy, he took into notice the appearance of this guy. His clothes were still wet, indicating that he had either gone for a swim recently, or that he had been using the water for something else. He shouldn't be overly suspicious, sure there was a different village's ninja here, without him being told anything about it, but there was a fine line between smart caution and just being paranoid. Still, the knife stayed. Though, the sigh was a little bit surprising, he had expected him to... well, panic a little bit. Being able to stay calm even in a situation like this, it was something that he respected. Although, the question was phrased rather stupidly. He was complaining about being woken up rather than about being held at knife point? This guy had a stupid sense of priorities, although maybe he was just talking about why he wasn't dead already. This guy was either smart, or a complete idiot. "A dead man can't answer questions, neither can a sleeping man. Thank whatever you believe in that I happen to be curious about you." He said, his eyes casting over the boy's body.
The forehead protector that he was wearing was the one from Hyougakure, the village hidden in the glacier. There seemed to be more and more of those guys as of late, you'd think it'd be harder to have a flourishing population in the frozen wastes at the end of the world. Running the hand not on the knife through his hair, he sighed, trying to work out what to ask first. There was so much he wanted to know about this guy, but he was going to have to find out a little bit of the basics first. Such as whether this man was a threat to the village or not. It would depend on whether he would leave him alive or not after this interrogation. "You're from Hyougakure? I thought Kusamura had managed to avoid getting into a fight with your village, what exactly are you doing in our territory? Are you a spy?" he asked, his voice serious and deadpan, his composure as calm and concentrated as Xavier's was.

Xavier watched the guy with interest as he had woken him up for a reason, why? he didn't know at the moment but he was sure he would find out all in due time. Xavier anticipated that this trip would have no bumps in the road and would just be a peaceful one but obviously Xavier missed the memo that some of Kusa's people were crazy and would hold you at knife point if given the chance, Xavier would sigh (well this is just great, you try and take a nap for just a minute). Xavier heard the guy respond to his question about not having already killed him and he would smirk "that may be so but if you wanted to interrogate someone wouldn't it be better to bind them? Just a thought". He told him to thank whatever he believed in which almost made Xavier burst out laughing, managing to tone it down to a smile "Oh yes great and powerful wizard thank you for blessing me by having someone show up and hold me at knife point this is the greatest gift ever" the sarcasm was evident but Xavier couldn't care less at this point.3
And then the questions rolled on, Xavier caught the 3 rapid questions that were asked of him so he wouldn't answer them in that exact order, better to not confuse the crazy guy with a kunai in his hand. "I am from Hyouga yes, there is no fighting, I am here because I wanted to see what it was like, and no I'm no spy unless you always find enemy spies just lying around near the river trying to rest". Xavier seemed to have pretty much covered all the questions he had just asked and waited for the next few because he knew there were at least a few more questions this guy would ask.

He merely rolled his eyes as the boy was asking why he didn't just tie him up. If he was being honest, he would have, but he hadn't brought anything to do it with. He hadn't been expecting to find an outsider just sitting on the riverbank. It wasn't like this was a current occurrence, although he wasn't going to say that to this guy. However, the guy...smiled? Really, he was smiling? What on earth was there to be happy about in a situation like this? His next words surprised him, but there was something wonderful about them. "Oh yes great and powerful wizard thank you for blessing me by having someone show up and hold me at knife point this is the greatest gift ever" Now, maybe Kara was a grumpy old-man of a teenager, but there were certain things that he just found hilarious and that was one of them. He didn't move the knife back yet, but he broke out into one of the rarest things to cross his mouth... a warm smile, broken only by a small chuckle. It was a shame that this boy was from another village, he was quite smart. They would probably have gotten on in another life or another world, but for now they were going to have to be enemies for a little bit. He hated having to play this card but it was the only one left in his hand.
So, basically, from what he understood, the boy was definitely from Hyougakure, and there was still a peace between the villages, which might very well be broken if he didn't remove the knife. But, he wanted to look at the village? it wasn't exactly very beautiful, although someone who lived in a desolate landscape, it was very likely that the fact that there was so much life around here would make them very excited. Or maybe it was just the fact that it wasn't so quiet as the ice-plains of Hyouga. Sighing, he got back to his feet, pulling the knife away. He was an expert in close combat, so if he tried anything he would be able to fight back against it rather easily. "You'd be surprised, boy. The amount of stupidity that some people show off rather shocks me. I mean, I saw someone wearing bright pink and green in the middle of enemy territory, as if they didn't expect that to be seen." He sighed, slipping the knife back into it's place in it's holster before offering him his hand to help him stand back up. "Sorry about that, with me being who I am, I can't just let everyone go free around me." he said, although not letting him know exactly what he was. If he didn't know, there would be nothing to gain in telling him. "What's your name, boy?"

Xavier himself was quite surprised when his captor displayed a smile and not only that but he chuckled a bit, it at least showed him that he wasn't all bad or maybe not it was hard to say at this point. Xavier would wait as the information he had told the guy sank in and was processed, he would remain calm and yawn a bit as he let some of his thoughts leak into the front of his mind as he waited. After a few seconds the guy backed off and put his weapon away, he even explained how he saw some fool running around on enemy turf with bright colors on and at that Xavier would laugh "Suppose we all can't have common sense". He would take the guys hands and raise from his spot on the ground. Releasing his grip he would dust himself off as the guy apologized for what had just occurred "Eh guess I can't really blame you on that account, it's all good". The guy would ask Xavier for his name but he would be hesitant in giving it out, he was after all just held at knife point but being the guy he was he would shrug it off "the name's Xavier, and your's?"
