Description: Hagane kawa - Steel Skin Technique, is the main and most famous techniques of the Metarumasutā clan. It utilizes the Steel(鋼遁, Kōton) element to turn the users body into virtually indestructible black metal. This metal is extremely resistant to weapon based and taijutsu based attacks. It also reinforces the amount of damage the user can do with their taijutsu/nintaijutsu, due to how strong and hard the black metal is.(This is the same for all levels and only changes based on the individual's strength itself.) The extent and effectiveness of the technique is based on the user themselves. These determining factors being skill/rank and mastery/understanding of their Kekkei Genkai. This will determine how much of their body can be coated with this black steel at once.
Genin: Able to cover up to two body parts at a time, usually restricted to the limbs, and only to a small degree. (Ex. Hands and forearm, up to the elbow. Same goes for the legs, limit is right before the knees. Reason being is that the restrictions to the body as of movement would be too difficult for a genin to control.)
Chunnin: Able to cover up to two body parts at a time, though they can cover the entirety of the limbs. Also able to cover the torso, though do to the size of area that its cover and protected, limited access to coating their limbs is restricted to that of previous stages. Movement of coated limbs are possible, though still difficult while the torso is also coated, causing the restrictions to the limbs.
Jounin: Able to cover the entire body and move normally. Has adapt control of the technique and can alter the amount that is covered as they wish, with the addition of more chakra. Due to the added weight of the metal, high speed movements are very difficult and near impossible when fully coated. When using lesser stages, movements of high speeds are still complicated and require exerting more energy then normal to perform.
Elemental Strengths and Weaknesses: (Best examples are with B-Rank usage of the black metal. Lesser extents for weaker cases.)
Fire(火遁, Katon): Fire based techniques and attacks are the biggest weakness that the black metal has. This is due to the metal only transforming the upper skin and muscle tissue of the user, leaving lower muscle tissue vulnerable. Normally this wouldn't matter since the black metal creates such a powerful defense, however, if treated with a constant exposure to a heat source of 1350°F (A pretty standard C-rank fire technique or higher. The higher the rank the less time needed to be exposed), the black metal will start to heat up, causing serious to devastating damage to the muscles and tissue that are vulnerable. If the user does not get away from the heat source and cancel the technique where it has been heat treated, then they might not be able to recover the damage done, even with healing later on.
Wind(風遁, Fūton): Wind based techniques aren't particularly strong against the black steel. This is due to the fact that most wind based jutsu are cutting variants, which the steel will be able to resist. (C-Rank and lower, while in A-Rank usage.) Stronger versions of these type of techniques also won't be able to slice through the metal, though the force from them can cause internal damage, though the damage will be weakened significantly. Another aspect of wind based techniques is the force they give off that can move a target. The black steel also provides a steady defense against this due to the added weight it provides. (Once again, only while in A-Rank usage.) Though stronger gusts of wind will be able to topple and move a target, though the distance they will travel will be decreased. However, the Wind element combined with Fire, can spell very bad news for those using the black steel, for it will increase the power of a Fire based attack or jutsu.
Lightning(雷遁, Raiton): Lightning based techniques are only slightly weakened by the black metal. Their force is only slightly decreased and their piercing ability is prevented. However, the force from the techniques can still cause internal damage and a great bit of push back if a direct hit is landed.
Earth(土遁, Doton): Earth based techniques are not very effective against the black steel. This is due to the fact that the steel can't be pierced and is harder than that of normal earth. Most earth based techniques and attacks can be deflected, broken, or out matched by the black steel, though force is usually required by the user themselves to do so. Though weaker Earth based jutsu(Some C-Rank and lower jutsu) can just be repealed by the metal itself. Though Earth itself isn't very useful against those using the black steel, while combined with Water, it can be used to create Mud based attacks. Mud is not very effective in the course of damage, but due to the added weight of the black steel, the target will sink rather quickly.(A-Rank mostly, though lesser ranks do still cause extra weight.) Do to the lowered speed of those using the black steel, as well as the restricted movement, dodging the mud or other attacks/techniques, becomes extremely more difficult. The only weakness that the mud possess is that of when it hardens. Once this happens, it becomes like that of earth, only more brittle and with the proper force, the target can easily break through it.
Water(水遁, Suiton): Water based techniques are not very effective against the black steel. It's force provided is much less than that of lightning so internal damage is hard to produce through force. However, due to its form, push back from larger techniques are more potent then that of Wind based ones. Though Water based attacks are not the best against the black steel, simple things like swimming are impossible, due to the weight and movement restrictions. The target will also sink a lot quicker if submerged. So to evade the chance of drowning, the target will have to cancel the jutsu(regardless of the level used) to be able to resurface on their own. However, when combined with Fire, Water based techniques become relativity strong against the black steel. Though it will not be as effective as Fire itself, water treated with heat can cause the black metal to heat up, causing the same damage as fire can, just to a lesser extent.
Advance Nature Elements: (Relative ones. More can be added based on request.)
Lava(溶遁, Yōton): Extremely effective against the black metal due to having a higher heat signature. It also will remain on the metal for a short time afterwards, which can cause more damage with the metal in place or not.
Scorch(灼遁, Shakuton): Extremely effective, much like Lava, however it will not remain for a short time. However, due to having a higher heat signature, it will heat up the black metal much quicker than lava or fire alone.
Ice(氷遁, Hyōton): Not very effective, since piercing power if much lower than that of lightning. It is also much weaker than that of Earth, so breaking or deflecting it requires very little to no effort, even for stronger based techniques. Freezing the target in a think block of ice is possible, though it would only provide more of a restriction in movement for a while, rather then that of any relative damage.
Physical Strengths and Weaknesses:
Durability: The black metal that covers the members of the Metarumasutā Clan's members, is an unique metal that is indestructible as all stages of it's usage. It is completely unable to be pierced, slice, melted or break through it. Though it is a very powerful defense, any part of the body that is not covered by it is unprotected. Even if the black metal is used to block an attack, if the attack goes beyond the target defended area though it can still hit the target, though the defended area could possibly remain safe.
Force and Damage: Even though the black metal can't be broken, pierced, sliced or melted, force can still travel through it and damage the user's muscle tissue and/or organs. The damage that is dealt is factored in based on attack type, rank, force applied, force resisted and level of the technique used. (Note that the black metal's density is a constant which does not change.) No matter the level and force behind a technique, if striking against the black metal, even with enough force to injure the target user, the strike will be somewhat diminished in some degree.
Taijutsu:
Genin:
D-Rank: D-ranked taijutsu techniques that strike black metal will cause no damage to the target user and very little to no recoil of the body. This changes if used by a shinobi of B-rank or higher opponents, as they will be stronger then the target user. Damage done is bruising of the muscle beneath the struck area.
C-Rank: C-ranked techniques that strike black metal will cause minimal damage to the target user. Pain and recoil, recoil being diminished by 20%. This changes if used by a shonobi of B-rank or higher, causing minor muscle damage and no reduction to recoil.
B-Rank: B-ranked techniques that strike the black metal will only be diminished by 10% and unable to be blocked entirely, causing pain, recoil, damaging of the muscles beneath the struck area and possible spraining or lesser fractures of the bone.
A-Rank: A-rank techniques that strike the black metal will hit with just about full force, over effectiveness only being decreased by 5%. Muscle damage being a constant and bone fractures within and around the struck area. Death is a strong possibility with the amount of pain, recoil and force that will transfer not just through the black metal but also the body, since the blow would not be able to be blocked.
S-Rank: S-Rank techniques can not be diminished or blocked by this level of use. It will cause death to the target struck, black metal or not.
Chunnin:
D-Rank: D-ranked taijutsu techniques that strike black metal will cause no damage to the target user and very little to no recoil of the body. This changes if used by a shinobi of B-rank or higher opponents, as they will be stronger then the target user. Damage done is bruising of the muscle beneath the struck area.
C-Rank: C-ranked techniques that strike black metal will cause minimal damage to the target user. Pain and recoil, recoil being diminished by 15%. This changes if used by a shonobi of B-rank or higher, causing minor muscle damage and only a small reduction to recoil.
B-Rank: B-ranked techniques that strike the black steel will only be diminished by 20%, causing pain, recoil, damaging of the muscles beneath the struck area and possible spraining of the bone. If hit by an opponent of A-rank or higher, bone fractures come back into play and some small internal damage.
A-Rank: A-rank techniques that strike the black metal will hit with just about full force, over effectiveness only being decreased by 10%. Muscle damage being a constant and bone fractures within and around the struck area. Death is a possibility with the amount of pain, recoil and force that will transfer not just through the black metal but also the body, since the blow would not be able to be blocked. Internal damage is also very common, which further increases the change of death.
S-Rank: S-Rank techniques can not be diminished or blocked by this level of use. It will cause death to the target struck, black metal or not.
Jounin:
D-Rank: D-ranked taijutsu techniques that strike black metal will cause no damage to the target user and very little to no recoil of the body. This changes if used by a shinobi of A-rank or higher opponents, as their force is still apparent, causing pain and small recoil.
C-Rank: C-ranked techniques that strike black metal will cause minimal to no damage to the target user. This changes if used by a shonobi of A-rank or higher, causing very minor muscle damage and recoil, though effectiveness is diminished by 50%.
B-Rank: B-ranked techniques that strike the black metal will only be diminished by 40%, causing pain, recoil and light damaging of the muscles beneath the struck area. If hit by an opponent of A-rank or higher, spraining of the bone can happen.
A-Rank: A-rank techniques that strike the black metal will hit with a diminished force of 25%, causing pain and recoil. Muscle damage being and spraining of the bone being common around the point of impact. Small amounts of internal damage can occur, which can lead to death if it becomes a constant. This can lead to death over time.
S-Rank: S-Rank techniques can be diminished at this level of use but only by 15%, causing a huge amount of pain and recoil. Internal damage and bone fractures will occur through out the body or point of impact. This can lead to death.
Bukijutsu:
Bukijutsu or weaponry specialty, is very ineffective against the black metal due to its strength coming from the ability to slice, pierce or break. Since the black metal cannot be sliced, pierced, broken or melted, when struck with an attack of this variety, the attack will come to a halt, being unable to make it past the black metal. In some cases, the weapon itself can even break, depending on the force applied in comparison to the force it is fighting against. (Unique/Custom weapons excluded)
Weapon Types:
Swords/Katanas: These weapons get their strength from cutting power and stabbing, they are almost completely ineffective against the black metal. Through these weapons can't cut the black metal, they can cause damage through additional force or overpowering said opponent. This can pose an issue though, applying large magnitudes of force with these weapons can rather difficult.
Force chart for this weapon via rank:
- Spoiler:
D - Very little force, no injury.
C - Some force, little to no recoil, no injury.
B - Lots of speed and force, recoil but very little injure.
A - Significant speed, sufficient amount of force to injure the user with muscle brushing and small internal damage.
S- Very powerful, will cause damage to the target, though it will still not cut or pierce them. Damage consists of some internal damage and muscle damage.
Projectiles/Archery: These weapons get their strength from their range and piercing power. These weapons are even less effective against the black metal due to the lack of power behind them. These type of weapons tend to deflect off the black steel, unless given extra power to cause recoil.
Force chart for this weapon via rank:
- Spoiler:
D - Very little force, no injury.
C - Some force, little to no recoil, no injury.
B - Lots of speed decent force, small recoil and very little injurey.
A - Significant speed, sufficient amount of force to injure the user with muscle brushing and small internal damage.
S- Very powerful, will cause damage to the target, though it will still not pierce them. Damage consists of some internal damage and muscle damage.
Blunt Weapons: These weapons are not overly effective against the black metal, however, unlike the other two, these types of weapons can cause damage easier against those with the black metal due to the force behind them. However, these weapons also tend to break far easier as well.
Force chart for this weapon via rank:
- Spoiler:
D - Very little force, no injury.
C - Decent force, little recoil, pain and light injury.
B - Lots of force and recoil, pain and some light tissue and muscle damage.
A - Significant amount of force to injure the user with muscle bruising and bone damage.(sprains and bruising.)
S- Very powerful, will cause damage to the target. Damage consists of some internal damage and muscle damage, as well as bone fractures and loss of consciousness.
Elemental Combinations with Weapons:
Based on the weapon used, see the elemental list above and contribute it to the type of weapon and the attack in question. Formula changes based on rank, element, and weapon type. Weapons that are used to produce for are generally better with forceful elemental combinations. (Exp. Blunt & Earth, Projectiles & Air, Arrows and Lighting.)
Name: Buki ni Karada - Body to Weapon
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Element: Steel(鋼遁, Kōton)
Range: Self
Specialty: Ninjutsu/nintaijutsu, Kekkei Genkai
Duration: Until re-modified or removed by the user.
Cooldown: 4
Description: Buki ni Karada - Body to Weapon is a technique that utilizes the Steel(鋼遁, Kōton) element and the Hagane kawa - Steel Skin Technique. Once the user uses the Hagane kawa - Steel Skin Technique, they are able to make modifications to their body where there is black metal. This involves things like sharpening the metal where their hands are, making their fingers like daggers, or grafting on a small but sharp blade onto their forearm, spikes on their knees, ect. Once the modification is made, it becomes a part of the black metal and the users body. If the user cancels the Hagane kawa - Steel Skin Technique where a modification is made or all together, then it gets absorbed into the black metal and fades with it. Weapons and modifications that are made by this technique are made of the very same black metal created by Hagane kawa, making it just as durably as the armor metal itself.
Modification Lengths:
Blades: Length of the blades that can be created can be no longer than 6 inches. (Limits will be set for certain techniques upon creation.)
Spikes: Spike lengths can vary based on the technique being used. (Single modifications can't exceed over 8 inches.)
Sharpening: Sharpening the metal that coats a body part raises the sharpened point/area by 5 mms/.2 inches.
