The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Subject: Tategama's Application Sat Apr 19, 2014 2:20 am
First Name: Tategama Last Name: Kurimuzon Alias:
Gender: Male Age: 12 Height: 5'5 Weight: 105 lbs Birthday: June 7th Sexuality: Bisexual Relationships: N/A
Affiliation: Boufuugakure no Sato Rank: Genin Element(s): Fuuton Specialization(s): Ninjutsu, Taijutsu
Personality:
Tategama has become an increasingly passive person by nature, though still has his own feelings and ideas that he holds true to himself. He will often remain silent within group conversations as well as when being questioned within a group. He perfers to wait to see what happens rather than jumping into a situation with unknowns still in the equation. Having said this, he can be attributed as being observant as well as analytic--delving into different routes a situation can go before they do. He will not often convey these ideas unless his group is in trouble or he completely disagrees with the method of whoever is taking charge. Even if he disagrees, he will often give up his side of the arguement simply because he is not one to fight and argue.
Likes:
Because of his pacifist nature, Tatagama's hobbies and things he like all follow that trait and as such--he enjoys the tranquil things. You can often find him on the edge of a cliff, feet dangling, watching the clouds as they pass in a contemplative state or perhaps mingling his more passive peers. Oddly enough, despite his rather quiet and conservative nature, he has a taste for spicy foods and enjoys curry and other spicy dishes.
Dislikes:
He loves his father more than anyone, that goes without saying, though both their personalities differ greatly and Tategama has noted this. Through multiple conflicts with his father, a rarity in the case of him creating them, he has developed a dislike for argumentative, aggressive or in any way abbrasive people.
Also, he dislikes those of an antagonistic nature and will usually not associate with them at all once they've displayed any nature that could be described as sadistic or malevolent. Even narrow-minded people that openly show disdain for bisexual or homosexual people are ones that Tategama would prefer to avoid.
Motivation:
Through his years growing up, nothing has been a bigger motivation to both his studies and training than being able to acquire the attention that his father has yet to give him. He strives in all ways, when he actually tries, in order to gain the acknowledgement and acceptence of his father that his has become a shinobi that Shidousha is proud to call his son.
Fears:
Fear in many ways seems to rule Tategama's live and everyday routine. He hides his glances towards boys and his actions mirror his desire to gain his father's approval. He believes that if his father found out his fondness to boy, he would immediately be disowned and scolded by him as well as the entirety of the village. In that lies his his two greatest fears which is being disowned or be seen as a failure by his father and in that, he is afraid that his father will one day find out that he is bisexual or possibly completely homosexual--the latter of which he hasn't determined due to inexperience.

Spoiler:
The cold whisper of wind slipped upon the land in a rejuvenating flush as the sun crept over the mountain tops and exposed itself to the landscape in which it was suspended over. It then became evident that the populace was animated in their daily duties, and like most others, Shidousha Kurimuzon was committed to his own. Considered an elite jounin within the village, the man of mid-twenties had created quite a name for himself and decided to settle down--as the life of a shinobi had no place for family.
He was semi-retired, able to still perform his duties although not on as a consistent basis as he was accustomed to. He met a woman shortly before this, prompting him to assimilate into a such as status in his shinobi career, and purchased a home from there with his stowed-away funds. The monotony of life wasn't something he held disdain for, though it left him bored and so he made up for it by spending much time with his wife. As a consequence, it was not long before he inpregnated her whereupon she gave birth to Tategama Kurimuzon.
Indecision about his path was fueled by his mother's wishes that he did not become a shinobi. In contrast, Shidousha wanted nothing less than for Tategama to follow into his footsteps and become a shinobi. He felt so strong about this that the he fought with the mother often and it caused them to grow apart. Inevitably, a shinobi soldier paired with a woman who did not favor such a life caused them to part ways. By then Tategama was at the age of six and chose to stay with his father and his mother moved from there back to her home village away from the shinobi enviroment.
Despite his decision to remain with his father, he held regret with his choice and subconciously assimilated moreso towards her personality than his. Inevitably, he took on a more pacifist personality that his father did not like. Arduous training and preparation would follow for the next two years before his father felt Tategama was fully prepared to enter the shinobi academy. When he did, at the age of ten, Tategama realized the differences between him and many of the other male students.
Tategama wasn't particularly interested in studies, though he found difficulty making friends with his peers as they were much more aggressive and competitive than him--leading him to isolate himself and as a consequence entertain himself through reading. His father noticed his reclusive nature and became harder on him, leaving Tategama to often feel that he had not yet acquired his father's acknowledgement, let alone his approval. Needless to say, a young boy who had left his mother in order to fullfill his father's wishes felt quite lonesome without the approval as the very thing he felt he was going against the winds to become.
He spent right about two years within the academy as he studied the complexities of chakra and practiced it himself--acquiring an eventual affinity which was displayed through efficient knowledge of the basic techniques he was required to learn. Upon the day of his graduation, his father was on a mission, which added to the feeling that his endeavor to gain approval from his father being a more intangible goal to him. Despite this, he was able to pass through the examinations with relative ease due to his studious nature and gained the rank of genin. When his father returned, he garnished the headband upon his forehead proudly and displayed it for his father.
Tategama felt he made head-way in the struggle he had with his father, although the traits within his personality had been embedded so that it would not change and it still waned his father from him. In a way this struggle defined Tategama in many ways other than his nindo, and left him with the desire to find a male figure in his life which showed him the compassion and love that he did not recieve from his father. That being said, his bisexual tendencies would develop from there and would flourish through his years as a genin.
RP Sample: The light trickled through the blinds of the windows, and no matter how hard he tried, the attempt to dodge it's all-encompassing grasp was performed in futility. Slender digits wrapped around the edge of the blanket and pulled as a shoulder hopped over so that Tategama's face was buried into the pillow and both facets of his cranium were given refuge from the light by the blanket. He snarled in distaste, his lids half-ascended over those peculiar yellow eyes as he pondered if he should get up or not. Just then, a loud knocking answered the inquiry.
"Tategama, get your ass up boy!"
The voice was loud and firm, and despite the agression of the voice and the words, he knew they were weightless beyond those elements. He pulled the cover away from his form and sat up--both legs slinging off the bed so that his feet could find the ground beneath him.
"I'm up dad.." The boy sounded off, though his voice was softer and not nearly as loud as his father's. He could hear the footsteps of his father as he made his way back down the hallway. With that, Tategama stood and performed the necessary hygenical routine he did ever morning before getting dressed and prepared for the day. He had just become genin and it was time for him to find out who his squad members would be--he was rather excited despite not showing it.
