The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

The Tempest Release bloodline element is the rare, but most powerful ability of the Gekko Clan. The ability's most unique quality is the ability to stem from two three pronged combinations of elemental type. It can either be formed using any combination of the water, wind, fire, or lightning chakra natures. It is considered the original-- and more empowered version-- of the storm release. Depending on the 3 chakra natures put into the user's jutsu the Tempest release can be used in a number of ways most notably: changing the weather to change the battlefield and enhance the user's jutsu; creating high powered plasma based attacks; bending the elements to enhance physical capabilities such as speed or strength to great lengths. Although the tempest release is versatile and powerful, it is mostly limited by the user. The level of the users skill and number of chakra affinities makes or breaks the tempest release.
Physical Traits: A notable trait amoung the clan's members is their red hair, an attribute acquired from their shared ancestor with the Uzumaki clan: The sage of the six paths' third son.
Location: Boufuugakure
Clan History: A clan descended from the sage of the six paths' bloodline. The third son of the Sage, most notable for his founding of the Uzumaki clan, had a black sheep son-- Gekko-- who went in search of his own path. On his spiritual journey across the land he traveled into the thunderous mountains where the Tengu danced on the wind manipulating the weather to their own amusement. Gekko Uzumaki questioned the strange beings as to how they bent the elements with such ease. Intrigued, Gekko continued to question the Tengu of their ways. Eventually, the young Shinobi asked of them tutelage and guidance, they agreed. The Tengu were just as fascinated by the man and his ways, so they asked for a favor in return: if they were to teach him their elemental arts, he would have to allow them to learn the way of shinobi. After a number of years of learning the Tempest technique and mastering most of the basic elements of chakra: Gekko made good on his word and taught the Tengu of shinobism. The tengu, still fascinated by his ways asked a second favor of Gekko: to join the ranks of his shinobi in order to better understand the mortal's path. The Shinobi used his cunning to ask in return another favor from the Tengu. The tengu reluctantly agreed and asked him of his request. He stated that when the Tengu were ever away from him they would grant him their immortality, but the tengu unwilling to fully part with their immortality instead offered him their speed and heavenly aura which would protect him from harm and make him as fast as the wind itself. He accepted the offer granting them their gifts whenever they rejoined him. After signing one of the first ever summoning contracts with the Tengu and receiving their gifts: Gekko returned to the land below to face his fellow mortals once more. He thought gravely of his devastating power and how he could wreak havoc among the world, these thoughts tempted him, but he found he could not. Gekko's father Uzumaki sounded in his mind "Blind power may crush mountains, but it is a double edged sword. Cutting the soul of it's wielder." Gekko sought out a place to rest after wandering back into civilized territory. He found a farming clan in great danger of being slaughtered by the surrounding wars waged by shinobi clans inhabiting the nearby region. Gekko offered to defend the people in exchange for housing. The farmers initially rejected him upon finding out he was a ninja, and cast him out, but he stayed not far out of the way watching over them. When the day came that the warring clans clashed and threatened to slaughter the farmers in the crossfire, Gekko lept into action and defended the farmers using his techniques to drive off the shinobi. He proclaimed that the war around them would not change unless they began to stand up for themselves, and Gekko offered to teach a handful of them what he knew in order to protect their land in exchange for housing while he trained them. During his stay with the farmers clan, Gekko was sought after by one of the elder's daughters. Not after long they became lovers, and sought to be married, but the elder would never approve of an outsider to marry her. After the training had ended and he was meant to part ways with his beloved: he offered once more his services. He claimed he knew a technique known only by the heavenly bodies and himself, but in exchange he would ask for permanent lodgings and community with the clan. The clan thought over and deliberated his offer much, but rejected him still. They gave him enough supplies to leave on but would allow him to stay no longer. Yet again Gekko found himself watching over the clan, awaiting any sign of danger. When a larger, more familiar force from his homeland came to raid: he cast down a great strike of lightning, swelling the winds around them. He cast away the enemy forces without killing a single enemy. The farmers were awestruck and fearful of this great power. Once more Gekko persisted that he be able to share his power with the clan; this time the clan agreed to Gekko's offer and gave him permanent residence. After a few years he married his lover, and they started the Gekko clan.
Okay, so can you explain to me what the ability is? Does it use other elements to augment lightning? How does this work? What are the limitations for doing this?
