Everything revolves around experience because it required to upgrade your statistics and your shinobi title. Experience is gained through various methods:
■ Roleplay posts give you 10 experience for every 100 words that you type.
■ Missions give you experience upon completion. D gives 25 experience, C gives 50 experience, B gives 100 experience, A gives 150 experience and S gives 200 experience.
■ Events can give varying amounts of experience.
There are two fields of experience in your profile. The first field is the experience that you have gained via roleplaying which is accumulated by using the proper template and posting HERE. The second field is the experience that you have gained via missions and events. Both numbers added together represent your total amount of experience. It is therefore possible to pay for an upgrade out of both fields. The amount of experience to rank up one of your statistics is as following:
■ D -> C: 1,500 experience.
■ C -> B: 2,250 experience.
■ B -> A: 3,000 experience.
■ A -> S: 5,000 experience.
■ 0 -> D: 3,000 experience.
Visit the upgrade shop in the shops section to request an upgrade for your character. A mod will then deduct the amount of experience required for that upgrade and change your statistics. In order to rank up your character, you must have at least accumulated a certain amount of experience on your character:
■ Genin --> Chuunin: 2,000 experience
■ Chuunin --> Special Jounin: 6,500 experience.
■ Special Jounin --> Jounin: 8,000 experience.
■ Jounin --> Seinin: 12,500 experience.
Okay, we know that we have made it very hard to become strong but it will be more satisfying in the long run to only have a few strong shinobi here who have been dedicated instead of new member who rush themselves to Jounin in a week or two. There are also other options for experience:
■ Chakra: It costs 100 experience to increase one chakra point.
■ Summoning: It costs 1,000 experience to get a summoning contract with a C-rank summon. Other summons will have to be purchased with additional experience later on.
■ More to come.
Evening the field
Recently, it was brought to our attention that the system has a small gap in experience between a fresh shinobi and a premade shinobi. Currently, a premade shinobi gets all the benefit of their rank while a fresh shinobi has to do extra work to be "equal" on the playing field.
Example:
- A fresh Genin is given 6000 Exp to allocate to their character's statistics & must earn and spend another 1000 Exp to rank up to a Chuunin(yet they still posses their statistics from their Genin days. A premade Chuunin is given 12,000 Exp and benefits from their statistics without all the extra work. The experience needed to be "equal" for a fresh shinobi compared to premade shinobi is lacking and will be compensated to even out the playing field, so to speak.
Update:Upon obtaining the necessary amount of Exp to rank up, a Genin will be given 6,000 EXP when they become a Chuunin to allocate to their statistics. A Chuunin who ranks up to Special Jounin will receive 3,000 EXP to allocate to their statistics, and a Special Jounin who ranks up to a Jounin will receive another 3,000 Exp to allocate to their statistics. You may think they are getting extra experience, and a whole lot of it, but they are just getting what premade shinobi get without all the work fresh shinobi have to do.
■ Genin --> Chuunin: 6,000 Exp
■ Chuunin --> Special Jounin: 3,000 Exp
■ Special Jounin --> Jounin: 3,000 Exp
NOTE:If you are a member who started out as a Genin and are now a different rank, you can claim the EXP you were initially supposed to get.
Requirements: Must be an active member and have the staff's approval, all rank-up compensation EXP will be checked by staff, so you MUST have links to prove you started out as a Genin and ranked up properly in order to receive the compensation EXP. This applies for all shinobi who had ranked up using the current rank system (such as a premade Chuunin ranking up to Special Jounin as well). The experience received from the compensation per rank
cannot be used for shinobi rank-ups.
To avoid clutter, there is a thread associated with claims. Please post HERE.
NOTE: The Chuunin Exams here are a little bit different. This is not a mandatory step in becoming a Chuunin. If you participate in the Chuunin Exams, it will act as a "get out of jail free card." What that means is this: you basically skip the statistic and EXP requirements for the shinobi rank. The downside to this is that you won't get any of your statistics ranked up, so you will have more work to do in order to raise your stats.
