I have a suggestion to make, which I’ve spoken over with Eden herself in regards to Training Threads. This suggestion has been born in the conversations between me and Eden in regards to what I refer to as word-overflow. Since there is a minimum requirement on certain things (listed below). I personally am not one to have to do more than the requirement to get the skill/training that I’m aiming for if there is no additional benefit to writing out the full story; therefore, I have a suggestion to make.

As we all know the current system requires the member to do certain things in regards to what specifically they are training.

Training Jutsu Requirements
a) Pay Ryo to buy the scroll (per say) to gain access to the jutsu
b) RP the actual training of the jutsu so that it can be added to the members jutsu list officially (fulfill word requirement)

Training Bijuu Requirement
Word Requirement of 2,000 words for each Bijuu Training.
Jinchuuriki are required to do Bijuu Training’s 1 - 6 to successfully master their bijuu
Jinchuuriki 7-9 have to do their additional tail trainings.

Items that are approved with a Word Requirement
Upon approval of the item if it is given a word requirement the member must fulfill word requirement in addition to paying the ryo to obtain the item.



The new addition to the system which I am here suggesting is that for all training threads which you regularly DO NOT receive exp for be changed SO THAT you receive experience for all the words you do over the word requirement for that training.

This way, you’ll get your training done and will not have to feel obligated to stunt your story for the sake of letting those words go to waste. Hopefully this will provide a happy medium for Eden’s desire to let members extend and make the most out of the character stories as each member possibly can, and encourage members to continue writing for their characters story and receive what they trained for and experience for the story that extends beyond the word requirement for the training.

Ex. Old System
Jinchuuriki does 3,000 words for bijuu training. -2,000 words for bijuu training. 1,000 words wasted // cannot be used.

Ex. New System
Jinchuuriki does 3,000 words for bijuu training. -2,000 words for bijuu training. 1,000 words for (+100 exp)


In Addition
For someone to go above and beyond word minimum’s there has to be some type of reward system in place for incentive to do so. I have not thought of anything other that would fit in this present system other than additional exp. If maybe there was a main plot that everyone could role-play a part of in their own individual village there could be a given plot bonus which would be like a basket of rewards kind of thing. My only tif with this ... or trying to find another means of rewarding a member for that matter.... is pretty much null and void. The only way to really grow your character is from experience and that's what it boils down to is that additional experience to grow your character. Maybe could be a reward to automatically train certain things (skip word requirement for x amount of jutsu training etc.) or you could just do like a give away. Instead of saying you get xxxx bonus experience, you can also just say "you can increase a D rank stat to a C rank," or "you can increase the rank of one of your specialties by one"," or you can say "you can add an affinity or specialty to your character sheet for free."

I do not know ^.^
Anything beyond the exp for word-overflow, you guys can workout among yourselves, or you can leave bonuses and stuff like that only for village plots or site wide plots.

Sorry I just got back today and my concentration is a bit lacking.

Originally one does not get EXP for training threads the reward was the ability to use what was trained, rather than giving them EXP to use elsewhere instead of on what they trained for. See my point on this matter?

I am okay with awarding EXP for training threads, currently- people can get EXP for training threads if their not solo threads. In regards to solo threads, I agree what you said could be used, but it would need to be specified more. Though this discussion will also need to have Hisame & Eden's opinions.

I understand entirely, and training threads with other people do garner EXP;however, for instance Miyuki's current situation. There are no other active players in her village (reason why she is trying to get allowed to move out of the village). This puts members who are in villages with less activity at a disadvantage, because there aren't enough people to train with; secondly, there is always that element of time thing.. You can type up 1,000 words in one sitting to get a training thread done, and be done with it, but it may take a week or more to finish and get a thread updated if training with someone else.

This will help streamline that, and can get members' characters trained up, faster.

Also want to make sure I'm clear that the EXP you gain from doing the solo training thread (if this is approved) only counts from the words you type that exceed the required, word count for the training. Capeche?

We will go over this as staff, but it is a good idea. As for the EXP part for solo training, that is a better idea all together for over-word/count

That's what I'm saying! This way you can still do a training by yourself, and whatever words you go over you can get exp from. This way, people can still build their characters story and receive some type of reward for it rather than just cutting off the story at the designated word requirement.
