| - Transformation Technique:
Name: Transformation Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: E Type: Supplementary Element: N/A Range: Self Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: Until the user runs out of chakra. Every post deducts 5 Points while active. Cooldown: Two posts. Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it.
The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful.
- Body Replacement Technique:
Name: Body Replacement Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: E Type: Supplementary Element: N/A Range: The users eyesight. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: Instantaneous Cooldown: Four posts. Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.
- Water Release: Hiding in Water Technique:
Name: Water Release: Hiding in Water Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: D Type: Supplementary Element: Water Range: Self, any water within a thirty foot distance. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: The user can stay submerged for up to 3 posts. Cooldown: Three posts. Description: The user blends in with water to be undetected by the enemy, similar to the Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Technique. It was shown that this technique is usable even in water as shallow as a puddle. While leaving concealment, water simply appeared on the floor and rose up, revealing the user. The user can be sensed by enemy shinobi but they cannot pinpoint their location, meaning they are essentially perfectly hidden. The user can be hit while emerging from the water.
- Hidden Mist Technique:
Name: Hidden Mist Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: D Type: Universal Element: Water Range: 300 Ft. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: Until user chakra runs out. Deducts 5 Chakra per active post. Cooldown: Two posts. Description: The Hiding in Mist Technique is a speciality of the ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dojutsu.
- Body Flicker Technique:
Name: Body Flicker Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: D Type: Supplementary Element: N/A Range: The users vision, with a maximum distance of fifty feet. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: Instantaeneous Cooldown: Three posts. Description: The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination.
- Water Release: Stormy Blockade:
Name: Water Release: Stormy Blockade Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: C (1/3) Type: Offensive & Defensive Element: Water Range: Within twenty feet of the user. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: The water it spawns remains constant. Cooldown: Three posts. Description: This technique allows the user to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crashing it onto the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant. This covers an area of up to 20 feet around the user, and the water can be used in conjugation methods to use a follow-up technique. The water, since falling from above, has an increased velocity and falls extremely fast, having a higher speed ratio and damage level than that of a normal attack. In comparison, the opponent would feel as though they have entered some of the worlds most powerful rapids. If an opponent were to be hit by this technique, it would cause them to have a sudden shortness of breath, and momentarily stun them.
- Water Release: Water Prison:
Name: Water Prison Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: C (2/3) Type: Universal Element: Water Range: Within 5 feet of the user. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: Until it is broken. Cooldown: Four posts. (Unless used simultaneously). Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move or breathe while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. It can also be stored in scrolls as traps.
Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water. This version of the technique for Sylvanas is similar to that of the Canon character Kisame, where a restriction on chakra is enforced, rendering an enemy incapable of using it within the prison.
- Water Release: Water Clone Technique:
Name: Water Clone Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: C (3/3) Type: Supplementary Element: Water Range: The user can control the clones up to 100 Ft. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: Until the clone is defeated or the user runs out of chakra. Cooldown: Two posts. Description: The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original person's power. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.
- Water Release: Water Formation Wall:
Name: Water Release: Water Formation Wall Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: B (1/2) Type: Supplementary, Defensive, Offensive Element: Water Range: Seventy-five feet in all directions. Specialty: Ninjutsu Duration: 10 Chakra per post while the water is active Cooldown: Six posts. Description: This defensive technique creates a wall of water around the user. Enemy attacks are completely intercepted by a fence of water blown out from the mouth, and is raised from below with tremendous might. For example, if an enemy were to be hit with this head on, it could very well knock them unconscious if not expecting it. The water is blown out in the form of a circle around the user, and it makes for a defense without openings. It is also possible for the user to control the amount of water and duration at will. The wall's strength and resistance change following the quantity of chakra poured down into the water, so a skillful shinobi will be able to build a sturdy one. Furthermore, because the field of vision is maintained even while defending one can easily go on to the next move, which is a great advantage. The wall can also be formed from a pre-existing water source. Strength & Weakness Chart:
- D-Rank Chakra: 30 Ft. Range, blocks/repels all D-Rank attacks and jutsu, but is countered by a universal D-Rank Earth Technique. Those with a D-Rank or below Endurance are swept up by the massive wave.
- C-Rank Chakra: 50 Ft. Range, blocks/repels all C-Rank and below attacks and jutsu, but is countered by a universal C-Rank Earth Technique. Those with a C-Rank or below Endurance are swept up by the massive wave.
- B-Rank Chakra: 75 Ft. Range, blocks/repels all B-Rank and below attacks and jutsu, but is countered by a universal B-Rank Earth Technique. Those with B-Rank or below Endurance are swept up by the massive wave Those with D-Rank Endurance alone struggle more and may drown. This can rise, drop, or expand radially only at the same Speed Rank of the Chakra being used in conjugation. IE: If casted at C-Rank Chakra Level, it would move at C-Rank Speed.
