Gender: Male.
Age: 12, Twelve.
Height: 5'9".
Weight: 153lbs.
Birthday: September 29th.
Sexuality: Heterosexual.
Relationships: None.
Affiliation: Tsukigakure.
Rank: Genin.
Element(s): Katon, Fuuton.
Specialization(s): Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Bukijutsu (KGJ).
Personality: Naturally cold and intense, Merasu walks around with a permanent air of tension surrounding him; showing disregard for anyone that he doesn't consider a friend. This usually includes peers, villagers, and those that hasn't earned his respect. However, this would all be bearable if he wasn't so blunt and exposed with his emotions. They are usually clear on his face and he has no qualms with approaching someone about it. In a nutshell, his first impression would notably be that of a King; someone who only sees those that he recognize and everyone else as insects.
This abhorrent personality spawns from his life as a Jinchuriki and the strict upbringing the village gave him. He's always suspecting the deception of someone and because of this sees his own honesty as Godly among the humans. In this sense, his superiority-complex was planted in him the moment others started looking down on and fearing him, their mixed emotions urging them to lie to him.
In regards to the Hachibi, Merasu has found the creature to be annoying. Their relationship being somewhat estranged due to the results that its sealing has brought upon his life. He only communes with it when he has too and its supposedly hates all humans, himself being no exceptions; however, her inability to allow him to die and encouraging words often clash with that statement. Among these whirlwinds of feelings, Merasu sometimes finds himself considering the right and wrong in situations. He is not immune to morality, it just affects him differently depending on the similarity to his own life.
Hachibi no Shujaku is normally quite fierce and prefers solitude. It stays high in the skies, where humans would normally not be able to breathe, so that nothing will come near it and to keep itself from destroying the entire earth, showing that it does have an untapped protective side, although this is not reserved for humans. Towards humans, the Hachibi no Shujaku is fiercely aggressive, and believes they are evil because of their violence towards one another.
Likes: Merasu doesn't like a lot of things and if asked openly he would be unable to answer, but to know him a bit better someone would have to get him to divulge these secrets. Though no one would never notice without stalking him, Merasu has a distinctive attraction towards canines. Both loyal and boundless in their courage; he respects their way of life and see usefulness and companionship in them. He also enjoys staring off at the stars; on nights that the world-wide screen isn't clear, he becomes visibly irritable. His favorite foods usually consist of delicacies being spicy in one way or another, and he utterly enjoys the taste of a hot coffee. When it comes to people, no archetype is available for being his friends but he often feels more attracted to those that are honest and truthful; which is far and few considering that he lives in the ninja world.
Dislikes: He detests humanity more than anything else. Their childish way of seeing the world in a black and white way leads to several problems. He also despises the way the world is sheepish and mob-like, ganging up one another just because one with power says to. It was individuality and self-awareness that made them what they were, when mindlessly following others they degraded themselves to nothing less than insects. He hates sweets and offers only a scowl to anyone that presents him with any. While he is willing to be used, he hates the way others boss him around, which eventually led to a powerful reaction to authority. Along with all these things, he becomes especially vexed when witnessing others gang up on the weak.
Motivation: Unlike others who wished to protect their friends and families, Merasu has but one motivation. He pursues lazily and at his own pace while keeping it hidden and veiled by his obedience, Merasu wishes to entice the world to change. Its a plan that's been brewing since his Genin days. He knows with the power of the Hachibi that he can become a force to be reckoned with in the Ninja World but along with that power he'll need powerful allies as well... or at least pawns.
Fears: Being the Hachibi has dissolved his fear of death and instead replaced it with the fear of losing himself. Since becoming the Jinchuriki he has experienced death twice and every time he considers the possibility that something is paid for dodging the inevitable. The Jinchuriki has cunningly implanted such treacherous ideas in his head but he can't help but think them true. To a lesser degree, he is afraid of large vermin: mice, rats, hamsters, etc.
Hachibi no Shujaku (Eight-Tailed Phoenix) Bloodline Name: Hachibi no Shujaku
Bloodline Ability:- Spoiler:
Physical contact with one of its feathers can cause third degree burns if they are only touched for a moment, and the longer the contact, the worse the burn. The Hachibi no Shujaku can also cause a loud, earsplitting shriek, followed by a shockwave that can cause buildings to crash. Each beat of its wings can create hurricane-force winds that can rip apart entire villages. At least once and only once per topic, it can die and come back to life, completely restored. This makes it an incredibly deadly foe.
The host has the passive ability to burn anyone that touches their skin directly, though it can be "turned off". Normally, this only causes a first-degree burn on touch. At the first tail, the burns become second degree, and they are able to use the gold chakra. At the second tail, the burns become third degree, and the chakra can cause second degree burns. At the third tail, even the chakra can cause third degree burns and the host will begin to grow feathers on their arms. At the fourth tail, the feathers cover their backs, arms, and their hair is replaced by it. When they move their arms, they can create heavy winds that can knock an opponent back 10 feet. At fifth tail, their mouth is replaced by a beak, which can rip and tear, and the winds they create with their wings can cause an opponent to fly back 20 feet. At sixth tail, the host's entire body is covered with feathers, and their feet begin to grow into talons. They can now emit an earsplitting shriek that can blow out eardrums. At the seventh tail, the host's body becomes huge, and each beat of its wings can level buildings. At eight tail, they gain all the phoenix's abilities, including being able to come back to life once.

History: Prologue
Merasu was a child who's fate was twisted by the world, when his path was originally peaceful and fruitful, the Shinobi World came and diverged him into one filled with hatred and chaos. His story begun in a peaceful village, small and unnoticed by the majority of the world. It neared the storming village: Shippuugakure and that would be its downfall. That night, everyone believed it would be peaceful, that they would enjoy the music of the insects, the sounds of the storm. However, that storm was soon ripped to sunders and the Eight Tails revealed its fiery brilliance with a devastating screech.
A rose haired woman gripped the hand of her four year old, stared up at a calamity as a Dragon and Phoenix took to battling over their village. Lightening strikes obliterated entire summits of mountains while flames consumed the entire fields in a raging inferno. The battle was brief but it shook the country as the titans went at each others.
In the chaos, the Nine Tails Dragon had fatally injured the Eight-Tails Phoenix, leaving it to crash into village and creating a horrible shock wave. The shock was so powerful that it sent the woman and child flying into a wreck building. When the woman came to her senses, she noticed her hand was empty; her child was no longer in her arms. In a panic she picked through the wreckage, only to find him impaled on the ground, a wooden beam through his small body.
Distraught and panicky she tended to the boy the best she could with medical ninjutsu but found impossible frustration at the futility of it all. While she worked a vicious roared carried itself through the country-side and the Nine Tails vanished at speeds that was uncomprehending, leaving the Eight Tails damaged and beaten. That roar brought her teary eyes onto the burning bird, its very meaning bringing life to her next actions. Reluctantly she carried the child to the prone Bijuu, her words flowing out without reserves.
Your battle sealed his fate, so you will intertwine yours with him and let him live! The Bijuu threw a furious tantrum, screeching the clouds away overhead in its vehement animosity. The woman focused on the toddler in her hands, the boy's life force quickly draining in her hands. She could no bear the burden that she was about to put on this child's life, the discrimination that she had tossed him into. It was not of her own wishes but if it meant he would live; then it was worth it.
The moon's cratered surface was visible, its form outlined with a ethereal and silvery glow. As it shined down on the scene below it, the rose-haired woman weaved several handsigns together, her own breathing soon joining the speed of her hands, until finally her eyes shone as bright as the sun and her hair slowly floated above her.
Dark stylized runes snaked on the ground and converged on the boy, its very body becoming the canvas of its powerful mechanics. Not long afterwards, she found the eye of the large Bijuu on her, its own body soon being invaded by the dark runes.
This will save you... but it will also condemn you to loneliness, she sobbed, her hands gently rubbing the boy's pale cheek.
You could never forgive me for this, and I'am okay with that possibility. As long as you live and survive, I will forever be happy. Take care of yourself, Merasu. At the climax of the great jutsu, a brilliant rose made of flames explodes into the sky, its scarlet color becoming a beacon to the unsuspecting world that a Jinchuriki had been born and that a person had just sentenced themselves to death.
By the time ninjas from Shippugakure had arrived, they were witnesses to the battle-worn village that use to reside there. Mountains had been crackled and broken, entire fields and half the village reduced to ashes; the map had been rearranged by a titanic battle. Ninjas scoured the village, picking through the wreckage and burying what little dead they could find. When they stumbled upon the dehydrated skeleton a rose haired woman, her body face down in the ground and the name: Merasu written in front of her and below a rose-haired child, they quickly called the commander of the mission.
When he arrived, they told him that the child was alive and that he was burning up on level that should had killed him. The commanding ninja had known of the Bijuu battle. A few others, along with himself had been directed by the Shippuugakure to investigate but they never even fathomed that someone would be able to seal the beast, let alone that its Host would be a child.
Merasu's Story
For as long as he could remember he had always felt shunned by the people around him. He was told that his parents died on a mission, that he was the offspring of ordinary ninjas, living ordinary lives; but just how much of that was true? It seemed like everyone went out their way to either ignore him, glare at him, or to avoid him. Was his parents really all that great if that was case.
It was around this time that his world was taken for another whirl. In the midst of his sleep, he was snatched away from Shippuugakure and returned to the Land of Death: Tsukigakure. It was there that he learned his role. He was a Jinchuriki, a human sacrifice to ensure the balance of the world and he belonged in the Country of Death; or so became his fate when it intertwined with Eight Tails.
His entire childhood could be described as lonely. He played by himself, studied by himself, even lived by himself. There was days when he simply went by the name Eight Tails and others by Jinchuriki. The land of Death wasn't as turbulent as Shippuugakure but they sure were ruthless and merciless. They valued strength over everything else and it left him constantly looking over his shoulder, shivering from fear.
Eventually, he found himself constantly thinking about the state of the world. For most of his life, it seemed like all he was doing was being uprooted from one place and planted in another. He could blame but one thing and that was humanity's greed. Gradually he became more sensitive to the affairs and powers that controlled Tsukigakure, often sensing danger before it had struck. Even still, he had no one to defend or protect, so what was the purpose besides saving his own tails.
After learning the truth he could understand their sentiment; a force of nature was held up inside of him, he was basically a boiling kettle of tea. Throughout his years at the Academy, he learned that his exceptionally large reservoirs of chakra would be his blessings. If he put forth even a bit of effort to learn how to control and mold it, then his chakra would carry him further than any of his peers; perhaps even further than ninjas above him. All he would have to do is hone and control the "Bijuu" inside, to reign in her power and snatch it for his own. At the time, he didn't believe that it would be all that hard.
At the age 10 he graduated from the Academy and because of his case was not just thrown into a squad. Instead, he was sent into an entirely different program. Trained by a powerful Anbu named: Megumi, who was appointed by the Kage, he was put through grueling exercises and taught ninjutsu, taijutsu, and bukijutsu as well. The process of controlling the Eight-Tails, of reinforcing the seals were agonizing. Perhaps if his "sensei" hadn't been so cold and heartless, perhaps he would had come out better. But over several years of being exposed to it, he too learned how to guard himself and be cold.
Over time he was taken on missions with Megumi, her ruthless tactics were observed and more so, looked upon with awe. She skilled, even more so than her title had suggested. He believed she had some special ability but he wasn't sure. It was doing this incident that the Hachibi abruptly assaulted the boy, its rage never felt so vehemently, had shocked the boy and sent him to the ground. Its easily grasped his mind from there and its influence had slowly formed two of its eight tails.
Merasu instinctively burst from his hiding place and attacked those that around him. The ninjas were no match for his raw strength but in the process he also started attack Megumi. The woman held her own, restraining the Eight Tails cloak rather quickly and cared the boy back to the village. It was here that she recommended placing stronger seal on his body, for the Bijuu was not as docile as they had thought.
Taking into consideration the seriousness of concerns, they did what they needed and placed another seal over his naval. When he returned from the process, Megumi was waiting for him; her passion for his training returning ten folds from before.
A year later, after being secluded from others, he was entered into the Chuunin exams. Ruthless and cold he had his plan to reform the world already in action. Merasu easily defeated the contending ninjas. Incredibly intimidating, he disregarded his friends as insects and sheep, mere drones in a twisted a world that needed reformation. Since then he hasn't lost control over his emotions or revealed even a hint of his plan to anyone but his actions in the Chuunin examines earned him the moniker "Calamity". For not one of his opponents had lived after combating him. However, other judges felt that he had not earned his vest, that his ruthlessness was unprovoked and as such, he remained a Genin.

Merasu stood inside the Chuunin exam's waiting room, separated from everyone else in a smaller room. A singular window and door was all that occupied it but to him it was more than enough. Or, it was until one of his former friends barged inside, annoying the living hell out of him.
"Mer, you've changed. You killed those guys out there, you know that right?" spoke a raven haired youth, headband of the storm wrapped around his forehead.
Merasu kept his back towards him, his eyes on the glinting rays of the sun that passed through the clean window. To be honest, he had very few words to say but if it gave Raizo some closure then why not. "Yea, I know... What of it. This world is filled with cocky ninjas that kill just for the hell of it," he told him, looking up at him bored and stonily. "At least I'm killing with a purpose."
"Killing with a purpose?" uttered Raizo in disbelief. "Their families just watched you kill them, what kind of purpose is that, Mer"
"Genocide, Raizo. Its nigh time this world was purged of the sheeps, don't you think?"
Merasu's eyes were wide with excitement, just thinking about his plan coming to fruition brought him joy. "This world is filled with spoiled drones, thinking that following others are normal," Standing up, he clasped shoulder of his friend and walked out. "I'm going to burn them from this world, Raizo."
"Mer!" he barked. "What you're saying right now isn't something to joke about."
Merasu paused in his trek before taking in a breath, his voice lowering in tone. "Who the hell said I was joking? take the warning and change the way you carry yourself, scum. This king is on his way to his throne, and you better pray to whatever god you believe in that I deem you worthy to live in my kingdom."
