The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

The mission comprised of a villager acting as bait to lure the assassin so Kakusa could take him out once he had a clear shot at it ; he didn’t like the plan. Well the idea of the villager acting as bait wasn’t that bad but still; there were still a few holes that he needed to fill. After receiving the details of the mission he asked the villager to meet him at the gates; Kakusa went ahead and got the village gate, awaiting the arrival of this ‘brave’ villager. The villager sure took his time, by the time the villager arrived it was already getting dark and Kakusa was pretty angry at him for that. He was already considering sacrificing the villager since the mission didn’t require him to protect the villager; it was about taking down the assassin or capturing him.
”It’s about time.. now listen up; this is the plan”, even though he was only waiting at the gate he wasn’t one to waste time. He had been thinking of a way to do the mission; considering his usual style of fighting he would choose the most efficient and effortless way to finish the job. ”I will pretend to be the villager with the information and you will pretend to be the ninja; for the illusion to be successful, both of us must remain at close distance. Leave the rest to me; all you need to do is act.”, Kakusa explained to the villager as the two walked out of the village gates.
By doing so, he really didn’t have to rely on the villager much; so if the assassin kept aiming for Kakusa the villager would most likely be out of harm’s way and instead of attempting to capture the enemy, the enemy will come to him. After his explanation he made the hand seals which resulted in a smoke around him; after the spoke dissipated his appearance was completely altered. Now, he was like an old man with apparently not even enough strength to stand straight; he was bend over and standing with the help of a stick. The appearance was perfect to deceive that assassin that the two would be confronting. The two now began to make their way out of the village’s boundaries and headed in an arbitrary direction; awaiting the assassin to make his first attack.
Name: Henge no Jutsu Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: E Element: None Type: Ninjutsu Range: Description: Hand Seals; Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents. However, while transformed only the user's shape and appearance changes. Meaning that if say the host turns themselves into a sword they won't be able to cut anything unless their body could do so naturally. This technique lasts for 4 posts with a cool down of 2.

The two walked for quite a while, the village was now out of their visual range. It had already gotten dark and on the path that the two had taken, they were the only ones. This was the perfect time for the assassin to attack. According to the information, there was only one of the assassins; if there had been more than one, then that would have been a troublesome scenario. They could have ended up in an ambush; in which case Kakusa might have gotten away but it would be an instant death for the villager.
Kakusa had been looking around to keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. After a brief moment he felt a rustle of leaves from his left side. The path existed between a thick forest, so the two were surrounded by trees; another perfect advantage for the stealthy assassin. However, being trained in the art of assassination since childhood, Kakusa knew how to deal with his kind. It was as he expected, suddenly a burst of kunai was launched from his left side. The villager that was heading ahead of Kakusa, pretending to be a shinobi had no clue about them. Moving as fast as an impulse or reflex, Kakusa grabbed the villager and pulled him in front of the kunai giving the illusion that it was the villager that fended them off. When the kunai got close, it was Kakusa who used a kunai and deflected them all.
”So you’re trying to get a feel for your opponents? Not bad, sadly for you.. this isn’t the real opponent.” Kakusa foresaw that the enemy would be using such tactics so his plan of pretending to be the villager was going pretty nicely. By then the assassin had already changed his location. Pretending to be the scared villager Kakusa spoke in a scared voice, ”Let’s hurry, he will try to attack again. We must hurry!”. Though Kakusa was acting, the villager was actually pretty scared, it was too sudden for the poor guy.
Once again the two continued to move ahead, now at a faster pace than before. The assassin wasn’t being serious the last time, the next time won’t be so easy. Kakusa was well aware of this fact and had already been preparing to use a few jutsu before hand by stealthily making hand signs and focusing chakra. He intended to use the materialized form of one of his illusionary jutsu, a jutsu that would most certainly overwhelm the opposition. However, he had to be careful and needed to pick his moment otherwise it would all be in vain, and he had just one shot at it too.

While Kakusa prepared his jutsu, the assasin had laid traps for the group ahead. Kakusa had been looking around for any suspicious things but preparing a jutsu required focusing chakra, so it wasn’t possible for him to pay attention to every little thing. The disguised villager walking ahead of him was only praying for his life so he expected nothing from him. Few moments of silence passed on, only the sound of their steps on the forest floor could be heard. Then a distinctive sound suddenly attracted Kakusa’s attention, the sound of a wire being pulled. He looked at the foot of the villager and immediately noticed the thin wire, placed carefully. He pulled the villager back but it was already late, the trap had been triggered.
The ground underneath their feet suddenly disappeared and the two began to fall. Kakusa grabbed the villager and flung him out of the trap before they could fall much deeper. He however, couldn’t find any leverage and continued to fall. The trap was bit deep but not that much so the bottom was visible, the bottom comprised of extremely sharp and pointy things. So if kakusa landed on them, his chances of survival were zero. Being a Onmyoton sure has its perks, he focused his chakra and two black surfaces appeared under his feet. The simple jutsu that he learned when he was a child proved useful. Solidified black colored surface comprising of chakra stopped his fall. Using those two as leverage, he walked while shifting their position hence elegantly walking out of the pit. ”cheeky”
As he walked outside of the pit, he was about to ask the villager if he was okay but the sight that awaited him was a bit shocking. While Kakusa was dealing with the pit the assassin had taken the opportunity and attacked the villager. The villager disguised as the shinobi was lying on the ground with his face down. Kakusa walked towards him and checked for his signs of life, apparently he was still alive only unconscious. So the assassin had decided to show Kakusa that he had seen through his plans. Until now he was using the transformation jutsu but there was no need for the disguise any longer. Kakusa released the jutsu, returning to his actual appearance. ”Alright, you want to have some fun then?”
With Kakusa around the assassin knew that until he had taken him down, he wouldn’t be able to escape with the villager. So the act of attacking the villager was a simple invitation to a battle, but not just a simple battle, a battle among assassins.

Name: Materialization Canon/Custom: Custom Rank: E Type: Supplementary Element: Yoton Range: Specialty: Genjutsu Duration: 3 posts Cooldown: 2 posts Description: With this jutsu one can materialize an object in one’s mind with the help of Yoton. Though these materialized objects are small(maximum size: a normal katana, that is 60 cm ). This is the very basic step that a child of the Onmyoton clan learns.

The jutsu he had used earlier, he didn’t discard it instead decided to continue using it, there was still time before the jutsu wore off. Kakusa picked up the villager on his shoulder and began to move ahead. This would maintain the illusion that the two were in fact carrying valuable information and fighting wasn’t one of their mission objectives. His previous trick had failed and the assassin had seen through it but the actions of the assassin depicted that he still didn’t know about the ‘information’. Even if it was little advantage, he would use it to gain the upper hand. A simple but efficient strategy as it would compel the assassin to attack them again. As long as he kept attacking, using his deductive skills, Kakusa would soon be able to figure out a pattern and finally launch his counter attack.
”I wonder what sort of abilities does this assassin have? Or what kind of elements is he capable of using? He hasn’t been the least bit clumsy about that and I’m still in the dark in that context. Considering that the previous trap resulted in the ground disappearing, it wouldn’t be wrong to think that he can either use genjutsu or earth style ninjutsu. However, it’s too early to decide whether or not that’s the case.” While he walked, he thought about everything that had happened so far. It would help him figure out a pattern and with that he could make his move. He didn’t want to waste energy, one move should be enough to take down one foe. However, that one move may need a bit of strategizing first.
”So far, he’s been very careful about keeping himself hidden. An attack from behind, then a trap ahead and then an attack while I was dealing with the trap: careful, swift and pre planned attacks. Based on this, he will attack from a position that’s not visible to me and is the most convenient place for him to attack from. If in case I’m off guard and caught in his attack, he should be able to be in a position to take advantage. So that means..” the grinning individual was now sneaking into the mind of the assassin. Like a snake that slowly slides towards its prey, ready to pounce. The poor prey has little idea until the very end and at that point, it’s already too late.
Kakusa assumed that the next attack would also be a trap and the assassin would be hiding nearby to take advantage. Of course he couldn’t guess what the next trap would be but if he could manage to avoid it that would give him the chance to attack. Walking ahead Kakusa noticed another thin string ahead, so the assassin had laid a similar trap as before? That didn’t felt right. However, he could use that to his advantage. He walked ahead stepping over the fine thread after he had made sure that there weren’t other camouflaged traps around it. The fact that he avoided the trap was frustrating for the assassin. Finally the assassin decided to take a more direct approach, exactly what Kakusa wanted him to do. From his left side, where the trees were more dense, he sensed someone’s presence. Right then he turned, letting go of the villager who fell on the ground like a sack of potatoes. The assassin had used a “kage bunshin no jutsu” or something similar to it because suddenly 20 or more shinobi were now charging straight at Kakusa. Each one of them carrying a kunai, Kakusa turned the surface he had summoned earlier into a katana, defending himself against the continuous barrage of attacks.
The assassin was most likely among them but he couldn’t be sure so for now defending was the right thing to do. With a swing of his katana he slashed through a few shadow clones. The clones disappeared resulting in a small smoke cloud. Witnessing this an idea popped into his mind, he knew just what to do to sniff out the assassin. This is going to be a bit costly but oh well, it’s the logical thing to do”. The katana disappeared and he stretched out the palm of both his hands, aiming towards the clone as he jumped back. A total of 30 black colored projectiles emerged from his hand and headed straight for the shadow clones. Both the shadow clones and the projectiles were a lot in number, not to mention too close for comfort. That resulted in a large smoke cloud as most of the shadow clones if not all were hit by the projectiles. In the smoke cloud, Kakusa made a clone of himself using “Bunshin No jutsu” and hid behind a tree. The villager was still lying on the ground while Kakusa had replaced his real self with a clone. The clone was meant to serve not just one purpose, it was also a trigger.
As planned, the frustrated shinobi fell prey to his plan. The shinobi attacked his clone and the shadow clone disappeared but it triggered the genjutus. In the illusion, the assassin felt himself caught in an icy prison. In reality, the assassin was now stationary, completely paralyzed. Kakusa casually walked towards him, took the kunai from his hand and stared at his paralyzed face. The same kunai had been used by the shinobi to take down his clone. ”Alive you could’ve provided useful information but there are other ways to extract information as well. This is what you get for troubling me so much”.
Finally the assigned mission was completed, the villager that had been ‘unconscious’ so far stood up after Kakusa took down the shinobi. Apparently he had been faking it, typical weakling. Kakusa grabbed the collar of the assassin and began dragging him along as the two once again began their journey. This time, heading back to the village.
Name: Kage no ame(Shadow Rain) Canon/Custom: Custom Rank: D Type: Offensive Element: Yoton Range: 30ft Specialty: Genjutsu Duration: 1post Cooldown: 2post Description: The user casts a type of genjutsu of many kunai being shot out from the caster's hand, but the illusion takes on physical matter in the form of a shadow kunai. A maximum of thirty kunai of shot out and each one will imbed two inches into the opponent's skin or scratch metal- they travel at 15mph and in a linear direction.
Effect: All Genjutsu-based jutsu can either be pure genjutsu or genjutsu materialized. Materialized Genjutsus must have a 1 charge post. A Genjutsu that has already been cast can be materialized after 1 post of charge if the opponent does not dispel it. Genjutsus are cast on foes by a clap of the hands, snap of the fingers or eye contact.
Bunshin No Jutsu:
Name: Bunshin No Jutsu Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: E Element: None Type: Ninjutsu Range: Description: Hand Seals; Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance and thus this clone can do absolutely no damage at all in any way. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse. The number of clones able to be produced is determined by the user's rank as follows. D Rank; 2 Clones. C Rank; 3 Clones. B Rank; 4 Clones. A Rank; 5 Clones. S/SS Rank; 6 Clones. 4 round cool down.
Final Jutsu:
Name: Ice Prison Canon/Custom: Custom Rank: A-rank Type: Offensive Element: N/A Range: 1000 feet. Specialty: Genjutsu Duration: 4 posts Cooldown: 8 posts. Description: After activation (which can happen via a trigger or other means) the subject for a moment feels no different, when he/she tries to move, he/ she feels his/her feet frozen. A sense of chill begins to move through his/her body from the toes and then moving up to the head. Slowly as the feeling grows, the person’s body stops moving and the target stops seeing reality what they see is ice everywhere. The entire body frozen in an ice cube large enough to surround his/her body. In reality, the target becomes completely immobile. For the entire duration the target feels cold and if they remain in the genjutsu for the entire time, even after the genjutsu ends, they still feel cold despite the fact that their real body never was cold. Due to this cold, they may shiver rapidly after words but that effect lasts only for another post(i-e 5th post), whether the target experiences this effect or not depends entirely on the target, it can be ignored if they wish.
