| Kusamuragakure Village Report
Hidden Jungle
Ruled by the Sakurakage, currently: Altair Satsujin
Clans: There are two main clans in the Kusamura, the first being the Yuhara. They were there since the beginning of the village, and were very close to the kage of this village. Along with the first Sakurakage, virtue, they established a village within the vast expanse of the jungle, naming it the Village Hidden in Jungle. Because of how close the clan was to the Kage, it was deemed neccesary that each of the members of the Yuhara become acquainted with the kage, and get on his/her goodside. As could be told the same about one certain member, Rin.
Another clan that was around for a long time within Kusamuragakure was the Nushi clan. A proud, and respected clan among the village, for who the founder was. She was a great woman at a time, but had passed on everything the clan was to a simple genin. A genin by the name of Dachou. Dachou was the first choice to replace Virtue as kage. But after tests, and a few eliminations, Altair Satsujin, an outsider was chosen over him. This angered Dachou, who would go on to let this fester within him.
Weather: In General: Because of the large and numerous trees always looming over head, the village is mostly clouded, with a few patches of sunlight spread over the village, especially around the kage building and in the center of said village. When it rains, it will drip down through the leaves of the trees, still hitting the village below.
Spring: Spring around Kusamura is exceptionally rainy(not compared as such to the hidden hurricane), as the trees need a lot of water to stay healthy. Evolution of the jungle has made it so there is more run-off than most other villages and so it creates more clouds, and more rain from said clouds. When it rains, it is usually a hard rain that falls upon the village.
Autumn/Fall: The leaves fall from every tree, as they usually would. But given the vast number of trees, the leaves fall everywhere, and stack pretty high up. Once stacks reached the height of four feet! This was a problem, and so steps were taken, so once the leaves fall, they are caught in a net, that will hold them until workers are ready to dispatch them.
Winter: Winters are terrible in Kusamura. Without the leaves to stop snow from falling, it piles into the village. The extra run-off is a bad thing in this case, given that it increases snow height as well. Snow can reach up to two feet during this season, which seems to irritate many of the villagers to no extent. The kage has found no solution thus far for this.
Summer: Summers are great for this region. The occasional rain happens, but is nothing like the spring months. It falls softer than before and doesn't seem to bother the locals as much. And because of the leaves on the trees, if villagers do not want to be in the sun, they do not have to! There is a greater amount of shade than most other places and this makes the villagers happy to live in such a climate.
Lay out: The layout of Kusamura is generally what you would expect: a village surrounded by vast jungle. Though this jungle serves a purpose, yes. The large amount of trees supplies the ninja of this village with more oxygen, so they don't lose their breath as easily as others would, and they've been known to live a bit longer than other ninja from other villages. Aside from that, the jungle holds dark secrets. There are caves, a test pillar(for akatsuki) and many jungle made booby traps. Not to reveal them all, but I feel that I must. Traps: Quick Mud, Trap Vines(grab your ankles, drag you along the ground, to the 'brain' of it, wrapping you entirely, squeezing you to death), wild animals, pits of spikes(man-made) as well as poisonous plants, that when touched, can paralyze and even kill(red kills, yellow paralyzes). Only villagers and the kage know where all of these traps are and how to avoid them.
Generally, there is a half and half skin-color for the villagers here. Half of them are tan, as they chose to stay in the sun when shade was available. And the other half is pale, or normal skin-colored due to staying in the shade instead of choosing the sun. This sparks a few arguments on which is better, but they live in 'harmony' as one could call it.
History: The Beginning: In the beginning, there was just a vast area of jungle. Virtue was travelling with the founder of the Yuhara, and they gave the idea to create something: a village within this vast wilderness. Yes, it seemed the perfect place for strategetic defense, and without second thought, they began to work. It took many months, to years to perfect the village. As there were times when wild animals would wander in, and attack some of the workers. Through perseverance, they finished the housing, the buildings, and even the gate, successfully making the first village ever in a jungle. At the end of the construction, the Yuhara voted and unanimously made Virtue the Sakurakage.
First Kage Makes Like A Tree, And Leafs!: There wasn't much on this subject, as the current kage hadn't found the note virtue left. He just knows that Virtue left the village for some odd reason, and had initially chosen dachou nushi to lead, but as we should see above, that is not the current case, no?
New Kage, And The Betrayal: Instead of Dachou, a long-time villager loyal to Kusamuragakure being chosen as kage, there was instead a different decision: Altair Satsujin. A wanderer who wasn't even originally from the village! He had wandered from his old village only a year or so before, and was living in the jungle for a few years. But instead, he was more qualified for the job than the Genin Dachou. Who'd have thought?(Sarcasm) Still though, the villagers were not too happy on the decision. And they deeply resented(if not hated) the new kage.
But Dachou didn't like how this turned out, still and he was determined to do something about it. He challenged Altair to a battle, and altair made it a hand to hand combat. The battle was in the center of town, so his subjects could look on, and know that he was compassionate, but would not tolerate challenges to his position. Foolishly, Dachou still wanted to fight, and once it began, it was over within a few minutes. The fight had left dachou broken and bruised, greatly injured. Seems the Sakurakage was not one to be messed with, eh? But Dachou was too proud to be beaten that easily. He left the village, and swore the next time, it would not be so easy. And the Sakurakage accepted this, being merciful and not sending ninja after Dachou. Mistake as dachou is currently seeking entry to the Akatsuki
Current Times: Currently, the kage is enjoying himself, trying to get to know his people better. The villagers still hate him, but they are learning to respect him as a warrior. They believe, should a war come, that he will be able to protect them from any one who would dare to attack them. And with the help of his cousin, the Atsusakage, this will go smoothly.
