The islands in Ocean Country have been celebrating the arrival of the next Umikage, Saizo. The long bridge leading to SHIPPUUGAKURE NO SATO has been closed for outsiders because they wish to celebrate this moment with Ocean Country natives only.
As usual, the Storm Country has been hosting the Asgard Games to welcome their Kanetsukage, Cornelia. It's a double special occasion because Cornelia is also the first female Kanetsukage. She has been picked for her courage, loyalty and outstanding power by the BOUFUUGAKURE NO SATO elders.
Not only that, but the Cherry Blossom Country has become relieved as well. It seems that everyone is slowly picking up after the war now. KUSAMURAGAKURE NO SATO proudly presented their new Sakurakage, Altair.
TSUKIGAKURE NO SATO is still thriving on the merchants coming in and out. They have not experienced anything special lately. Their wealth has remained the same as they were not forced to invest into shinobi unlike the others.
On the cold isles of the Blizzard Country, HYOUGAGAKURE NO SATO has still refused to create a free traveling policy. Some habits never change. To protect their traditions, they have even warned outsiders to not interfere with their matters.
Now that everyone is picking up again, who will come out on top?

Saizo busted into the doors of the shrine, sweating so much. He was literally starting to evaporate due to the heat. Who thought it was a good idea to make a village in the middle of a volcano? They must have hated living. Seemed like the easiest way to kill yourself, live in a volcano. On Saizo's back, he had a giant bag, it was HUGE, bigger then what you would make ox pull! Now one would assume it to be climbing equipment, the trek to the village being quite difficult without it, but instead, it was filled up to top with water bottles and a shitload of ice in an attempt to keep it cool. This had ultimately failed as most of the ice had melted, but it had kept the water from evaporating completely. The water in his bag was the only thing that would keep him alive and hydrated in this temperature. He was kinda glad the village was destroyed. It gave the villagers a reason to leave the hell hole the village was created inside. He really had a grudge against the location, not exactly the village itself, just the volcano. Saizo would sigh as he decided to leave the bitterness outside and enjoy the uniqueness of the temple.
This temple was suppose to be in homage to the god of fire, Prometheus, made of the purest obsidian and granite in the volcano, quite a sight to see. Too bad it was not visited too much, but not many people could survive the heat. It was rather amazing Saizo was one of them, his natural body composition pretty much screams, don't boil me, but his curiosity prevailed and so he decided he would go. The original temple was bigger, but the main part of the temple, which was what he had came for was still there. Saizo would quickly get out a sketchbook and start drawing the shrine, every wall, every statue, each little symbol and figure. He wanted to get it all. He wasn't much of an artist but he had learned at one time. He was trying to preserve every bit of history he could, also planning to search for any artifacts once his sketches were done. He would have to hurry though, cause the heat was starting to get to him.

Saizo had studied the God, Prometheus for a while before going to the shrine. He had read that he was supposedly the one to bring fire to humankind. Of course, this sounded outrageous and probably was, having stretched the truth from the original significantly. He found the tale interesting though. This guy was apparently rumored to be the one who advanced human civilization from mud loving monkeys into the sophisticated herd animals of the current age. Well, it was a cute little legend, but highly unlikely to be true. Saizo was almost done sketching the first few walls, getting the details extremely accurate, or at least as accurate as he could with his current skill. It needed some work, but to most it would be quite impressive. This was probably his favorite part of the journey, only thing that would make it better is if it wasn't so damned hot inside. It was worse outside but still. His backpack laid on the ground as he sketched, nearly avoiding getting any sweat on the notebook.
He would stop sketching for a second while he moved over to his backpack, unzipping it and picking up a water bottle from inside. He would open it up and pour whatever amount of water into his mouth. "Ugh. Warm." he said in disgust. He hated warm water. This wouldn't stop[ him from drinking it, cause he needed too, but he greatly disliked it. The only thing missing in this exploration was a tiny Asian boy who called him Mr. Jones in a funny oriental accent. That would be awesome. Well, back to sketching, he would think to himself as he picked up his notebook, approached the main room and its statue to begin making the grand masterpiece.
Saizo would stumble around the ruins, quickly sketching his drawings with extreme precision. It was very impressive how well his penmanship truly was. If he hadn't become a ninja he surely would have become either an artist or a writer. Hmm, maybe he could take that as a side job for some spending cash later on in life. He would just have to see, but for now he was a ninja explorer. One of the best ninja explorers in the world, may he add. So good that he was able to see right through the secret doors in the shrine, well not literally, but he was suspicious. He would eye statues all over. He knew there had to be some kind of secret. He would put on his explorer hat(Indiana Jones style) and start digging around the ruins. He finally found a switch on the wall that looked promising. It was hidden as a torch but it was rather loose on the wall, so Saizo presumed it was fake.
Saizo then pulled the torch off the wall. To his surprise, it popped right off. It hadn't been a switch. It was actually just old. A bit embarrased, he would light the torch and pretended that he had planned that from the beginning. He then leaned on the wall, pushing a button in surprise. "Ah HA!" he said triumphantly. It was all as planned, get a torch, open dungeon, and exclaim victory. He would decide to wait a little bit before entering the dark room filled with steps, strategically assessing the situation as if he knew what he was really doing.
(Saizo I just gave up on this post because of it not going through twice in a row)
Walking up behind Saizo quietly with a water bottle in hand filled with ice so when it melted it would turn into cool water. Tapping Saizo on the shoulder he begins to speak "Sorry I am late I had things to take care of first before coming her. I also have something for you that I think you might like," he said handing Saizo the water bottle "I don't need you to evaporate on me right now." Requiem didn't do this kind of thing at all, but since it could lead to him knowing more about his scattered clan since he haven't meet one member of the clan. He looks at Saizo hat before asking himself "Why does he have a hat on as hot as it is in here?" Requiem didn't understand the concept of if you do something you have to look the part, but whatever Saizo liked to wear he wasn't going to judge him "So where are we going now that we are here anyway." he asked in a carefree, but yet calm manner.
"Well, come on old chap, your getting slow, I say. I almost thought of going on without you" He said to his the recent comrade who decided to show up. It wasn't really a surprise that he had taken so long. Saizo had kind of let his excitement get the better of him as he ran ahead and entered the temple, leaving him behind in the dust. All was well though. He had arrived just in time for the fun part. He would take the water bottle and tip his hat to his partner. He toke a big gulp, finishing it just about immediately. It was pretty damned hot in there. Hopefully Requiem wouldn't start melting. Saizo was almost taking his explorer attitude a bit too far, though. It had started out as an act, but now he was starting to enjoy it a little too much. He would point to the hidden entrance he had just uncovered and send, loud and confident. "We are going down here.". To be honest, he was a bit afraid to go alone. It was lucky that Requiem had decided to show up when he did. Otherwise he might have decided to skip this part. He carried his torch with him as he slowly started to enter the room and walk down the steps. There were quit a few. He didn't quite know how far they were after about 10 minutes of scaling down the stairs. He would let out a few small yells, just to test out the echo. See how long it toke for the sound to travel. By the sound of it though, he had guessed that they still had a long ways to go.
