MirageRest in peace, let the truth be knownNinja ApplicationPersonalFirst Name: Kamui
Last Name: Xanadu
Alias: The One In Between
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Birthday: 9th June
Sexuality: Bi
Relationships: None
Affiliation: Village
Rank: Genin
Element: N/A
Specialization: Primary: Kenjutsu/Battoujutsu/Iaijutsu
Secondary: Taijutsu
Ninjutsu
Personal v2Personality: “I live by what life is..”Usually silent and doesn’t speak, Kamui prefers to look and watch what happens to something. This makes him very observant about things around him. He also doesn’t use sight when looking deeply into things, using what he learnt from his father, he uses the other senses. For example the sense of smell to determine the scent of a certain person or plant, hearing to identify the position of a person, taste to know what he is dealing with in terms of food and such, not to forget the sense of touch to feel what normally isn’t felt. Survival of the fittest that was how he was taught.
“I’m nothing but a fragment of your memory..”He also tends to disappear and reappear in places a lot, giving him the title of ghost or phantom. He also makes very vague and mysterious remarks, which make even the most intelligent of people in their thoughts. He also uses quite some good vocabulary in his sentences at times to confuse people due to the many number of meanings it may hold. He is also quite the puppeteer with people if he wants to of course. Secretive, he does not tell anything that he knows without something of equivalent value of course.
“Set them free.. I want to see those wings fly..”Kamui is compassionate and quite merciful at times. This is maybe because of his mother’s love for him. He loves to help people with problems and normally don’t ask anything in return but food or maybe accommodation for the day. Some may find him as a hidden treat but he believes in faith upon others except to those he suspects at least to a certain extent. He likes to see children growing up or people getting stronger as he firmly believes that one can achieve greater heights even with challenges ahead.
“Good is the enemy of best..”A quote he lives by. He yearns nothing more than perfection on his art or in this sense his swordsmanship. Although this is true, he practices moderation as well but only on the few matters that requires it. Strict in training and expect nothing more than discipline, he usually speaks with a naturally firm, charismatic and alluring tone that can enchant people to believe him. He also exerts an aura of confidence and tranquility around him that may at times calm people down.
“I’m here to guide you to the Netherworld..”Kamui is just doing what he does. Sending people safely into the afterlife. Some may call this strange as a job but its well worth it as he can find out things what others cannot. Given the point that he manages to fulfill the request of the dead, he’ll also reveal the part of the information that someone wants to know. Call it a customer policy when he does his job. Death to him is virtually non-existent, as he firmly believed he died and was reborn from the ashes of his old self. Although nothing suggests that he is really dead in the first place. True to a point, Kamui shows literally no emotion to people and remains an enigma due to his secretive nature and his lack of general feelings.

Clan InformationClan name Xanadu
Bloodline Name: Meikai no shugo-sha (Guardians of the Netherworld)
Bloodline Ability:Members of this clan are half-phantom and half-human. Although this is true, it also caused their Chakra pool to be completely removed from their body and deposited at a mysterious orb-like spirit of varying colour. (Explained in history) The spirit orb can only be seen only by the members of the clan or someone who has seen death happen in front of their eyes. Due to their lack of charka, the body and mind of the members of this clan, works faster and harder to grant them better traits in terms of physical and mental attributes, agility, speed, strength, endurance and et cetra by 3 times. They also have great insight and foresight over many things, have a very high level of concentration.
Genin, Chuunin:
During this level, they have to concentrate and absorb chakra from their spirit half. This makes it quite troublesome for those who want to be quick on their toes in battle. Although, they can use E~C rank jutsu’s with ease.
Sp. Jounin, Jounin, S-rank:
During this level, jutsu’s ranging from A~S rank will backfire on the caster if it involves charka but to counter this disability members of the clan are able to merge with their spirit half for only 15 posts. Thus, letting them access Jutsu’s from A~S rank. Note that if the jutsu involves absorbing charka from ones spirit half, it would require two posts for A~S rank unless stated. This can be used once per topic.
Below states the weapons that can be carried by the clan members. Note that the swords are passed down from their forefathers (Explained in history).
Virtues:Chastity – Increases jutsu damage by two fold.
Temperance – Dispels Genjutsu every two posts.
Kindness – Heals the user passively but at a small amount.
Charity – Has the ability to sap your life in return for an increase in power
Diligence – Able to continue a battle after being landed a critical hit
Patience – Increased focus, insight, foresight and senses.
Humility – Does not feel fear or pain when used.
Vice:Lust – Has the ability to sap life from the opponent to heal yourself.
Gluttony – Loves to drink blood, the more blood, the more power.
Envy – Has the ability to copy the shape and effects of other weapons but its strength is 80% of the original.
Greed – The more Ryo one has in hand, the more powerful the weapon
Sloth – The being of slowness can have a very slow movement but very high damage output
Wrath – Increase all stats by two times but at a cost of your sanity
Pride – Being as pride, it does not like other charka except for its owner, thus it will push aside all other charka.
Colour to discern the seven members:
RedOrangeYellowGreenCyanBluePurple/IndigoPink/Violet(Note that each member can have a max of two weapons, one Virtue, one Vice and I’m stating the suggested effects but not the type of each weapon as I want it to be versatile for other members that want to join. Please take a look at the last post after approval as I’ll state who takes which Vice, Virtue and Colour.)
Location: Scattered
Clan History: Long ago, war broke out. Countless lives lost in the blood stained grounds, bodies rotting, souls left unrest. Scarlet flames swirl in wake, devouring anything in its path. Merciless. Unforgiving. It comes after each battle. It’s fate? To cleanse! It’s desire? To give peace to those who have passed on.
In truth the clan was just scattered bits of nomadic people. They have no intension nor relation to what happened to the outside world. They preferred to throw everything not normal to them and live in peace as they travelled from place to place, gaining knowledge on much of the geography of the world, not to mention some well hidden ancient temples, shires and hideouts. They also have wide knowledge over many rumours, myths and legends that held were around at that time.
Among every mystery, one of them stood out the most. The legend of the temple of judgement, Tamashī no handan. Although, none of the seven members founding members of the clan went there as of yet, the legend spread like a virus, unrelenting, ever putting people in a trance state of desire. Everyone thought it was salvation and eternal bliss that will be found inside but the clan founders stayed away, fearful that the corruption will get to them.
Alas, they couldn’t escape the fate that which the temple already predicted. Soon, all of the ten leaders and their families meet at the temple. The famed mystery of the temple of black and white. One side it was rotting with darkness, malice and sin, the other with pureness, clarity and virtue. Stunning it was but something or someone stood out. A certain elderly caretaker, stood to greet them. Unknowingly, their life has already been changed when they first came to know about the temple.
Time passed and each of the founding members changed, their families were told to wait for them far away, at the nearby river they all meet. Soon a ritual started, the caretaker revealed to be an immortal lady named Shikieiki Yamaxanadu, her job to get people to help her judge the living and send souls to their final resting place. She granted each of them a power they will never forget. Separate souls representing seven colours, their hairs having the colours of their respecting souls and weapons each depicting a vice and a virtue. Their gold was simple, to help people leave behind regrets and finally leave the world in peace.
Shocked by their predicament, each of them went down the path and the only way to move on was forward but slowly, each member will find themselves ever tied to this path. Unable to run away.
“The truth is that peace is always within..” Shikieiki said before the seven founding members left the temple and it will forever stay the same as time goes on for eternity.
HistoryHistory: Birth and Growth Arc:- Spoiler:
I was born on the 25th of November, healthy, fresh and smiling. My dear mother, still on the bed, tired, sweating and panting away, was delighted as the midwife showed me to her. She touched my soft skin as she smiled while being in aw that I’m well. My father was walking continuously outside, full of nervousness, unsure at what was happening within the room. My family or could be said clan was the nomadic kind, thus our living was quite simple. A small hut made out of wood by the river and that’s that. Nothing else. My father always said that one only needs love and a roof under his head to live and it was quite true to some certain extent.
My mother usually tells me stories about my birth and my early childhood. I was always crying over the smallest matter, from dropping a sweet to fighting with other children. Guess I was quite the troublemaker back then. Although I saw some of my friends go to what they call a Ninja Academy School, my father denied my access to go as he told me that he’d personally train me in the ways of the clan. I always wondered what my clan was all about. What so great about it? When I was four, which was the time I first took up my class with my father. He made me run until I can’t run anymore and the next day my legs were like burning in the pits of hell. The next day he made me do push ups and sit-ups. Then the next was swimming, meditation, projectile throwing, marksmanship and swordsmanship but he saved warfare strategy for the last and my father was determined to hammer it in me. He always stated that for every battle there is a strategy, a tactic to be used, be keen, be serene, be alert. It seemed like a never-ending quest of training and perfection.
One day, I asked my father on why he chose to train me this way. He merely stated that it was my destiny. Vague and confused by that comment, I went on the training as if my father was handing down something very important to me. A clan relic? A treasured piece of history or information? I didn’t know, still I remained loyal to my loving father. I didn’t realize my fate until I finally knew it will be these first and last few years I’ll ever spend with my father.
One day, my father woke me up in the morning, mother was making breakfast. She was smiling all that time. I wonder why, as it felt completely out of place even to me. After I got dressed and ate my bread and butter, I and my father left for the mountains. In the distant echoes of tears that can be heard, I closed my eyes as I was still sleepy. I never knew that it was the last time I’ll ever see my mother and little brother.
Temple of In-Between Arc:- Spoiler:
“Dark, murky, malicious at one side, bright, glimmering with pureness on the other.” Those words that could only explain the temple made out of stone that my father took me to. Simple, delicate and precise was its architecture. Old it was as cracks here and there could be seen. After that, everything went blank as I stood before an interesting statue of a person.
Once I awoke, it seemed that I was in a trance like state, my father, disappeared, gone from the world and I have grown to almost in my twenties. I was shocked, my legs were shaking. I trembled with fear at what happened to me. Suddenly a smoothing voice came.
“Let your heart be at ease..”
“Who are you..”
“You..”
With that, a spirit-like orb appeared in front of me, it let off a warm and familiar aura of peace but I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. I was still trembling from the shock, my muscles feel numb.
“Let me tell you what happened..”
Suddenly, my body rose by itself and then I got an electric shock of my life. Everything came back, what happened when I came here, my training to become one of the Keepers or Guardians, my father’s death to fully initiate me and my mother lost as she tried to search for us. Every single detail, every memory, every second that I spent was returned. I gasped for air as I fell to the ground again before the spirit sprinkled some purplish dust on the floor. It slowly materialized into two blades, one of pure white, one of pure black. From the memories, I finally knew that these were the blades that my father sacrificed himself for me to get. A tear went down my cheek as I took the blades.
“Your destiny is now in motion.. And i'm here to follow you to the ends of the world..”
Prologue:- Spoiler:
“Death is maybe the only way out. It seems that wishful thoughts of a bright and wonderful future were just a far away fantasy. Sinister and ruthless was my judgement. Torturous was my punishment. I will always remember the day as I stood before the “so-called” almighty courtroom with the insignificant and corrupted board of adjudicators, tied tightly with magical stings of fate, as they shouted word after word in debate on whether am I guilty or not.
In Truth, I actually don’t really know who I’m anymore. Maybe I’m just a person who is cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of divine intervention. Blast these infernal, venal and virulent vermin that stands before my path to everlasting happiness! The only reminiscence I recall was you and a young lady being stabbed as she tried to save me from utter annihilation from these van-guarding, vice and vouchsafing people who claim themselves as the deliverer of God’s Judgement!
Curse you all! I shall escape from this wretched prison! The only verdict for you vermin’s is vengeance! A vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such, shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous inhabitants of this world! My little brother, please be safe, once I’m gone, I do hope you grow up to be a fine gentlemen. I shall return with infinite authority and power to save both you and the others from these pitiable and counterfeit people who call themselves God’s left hand! Be well my little brother and goodbye...”
I wrote that letter long ago. Now, even though I’m free and my revenge tasted cold, I’m lost in the wilderness of the world around and about to lose my sanity. Such honorable fate for a murderer eh? Still I’m dumbfounded. He’s the only family I have left. Where are you, brother?

Endless horizons of green could only be seen from where Kamui stood. The winds blew gently as it picked up some withering leaves into the air. Kamui felt at peace but still it wasn’t in a way. He could see lingering spirits walking about, not at peace, not having a sense of fulfillment, not going to the Netherworld. Kamui yawned and then sighed at the look of such a thing happening, maybe he is partly pity those spirits but he’s got to do his job.
“Spirits, let me guide you.. towards peace..” Kamui’s voice echoed though the greenery even though he spoke softly. These indicated that only the spirits heard him as he saw them turning and giving a gaze only one that is dead could give. They slowly hovered towards Kamui but he merely smirks and unsheathes his white blade and slashes the nearest entity. It then disappeared in a tiny glimmer of light and into the blade, as if the blade was a pathway to the Netherworld.
“Simplicity is still your choice..” Kamui spoke once more but the spirits, lost in their objective, was near impossible to save. Kamui then had no choice but to send every one last of them towards the Netherworld. “May you have peace or at least some peace..” Kamui said before unsheathing his blade and cleaning up the mess that he made. "Time to go home I guess..” He said as he left for the nearby town to get some well deserved rest.
