The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan can tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular.

The Sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like pencil movements. As the Sharingan evolves, gaining more tomoe seals, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user. However, even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not have time to react.

The Sharingan's third and most well-known ability is that it grants the user the ability to memorize any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from other kekkei genkai techniques. The user can memorize ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as their own, or even modify them to create their own new techniques. In order to reproduce a copied jutsu, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them. In addition to physical skill and kekkei genkai techniques, the Sharingan cannot reproduce jutsu dependent on other factors, such as summons that the user has not signed a contract with.

The Sharingan's final commonly-used ability is capable of inducing a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent through genjutsu cast by simple eye contact. More advanced Sharingan users can take the hypnosis ability even further to the point where a powerful summons or even Bijuu’s may be controlled. When this was used against summons and the Bijuu’s their eyes took on the tomoe pattern of the users' Sharingan while under hypnotic influence.

The hypnotic ability coupled with the other aspects of the Sharingan, can make the user appear as if they can "see the future". First, the user must perfectly mimic every move their opponent makes and possibly their thoughts and words through careful observation. Then, they suggest an action to the opponent such as hand seals for a jutsu that the opponent and Sharingan user already know and copy that. With these things done, the user can complete the action even before the opponent does, possibly using the Sharingan's genjutsu to confuse or delay them. As with other genjutsu, genjutsu cast by the Sharingan are capable of putting an opponent to sleep, inducing paralysis, replaying memories to someone else, or creating various illusions to deceive someone. The potency of the Sharingan's illusion is dependent on the user's knowledge and skill with implementing genjutsu.

Although the Sharingan consumes the user's chakra while active, the chakra levels that the user must exert is so insignificant that they can keep it active constantly. However, when a Sharingan is transplanted to a non-Uchiha, the chakra drain is significant, leading them to cover it up when not in use, to stop the drain.

The Mangekyō Sharingan gives the user access to several powerful techniques, including the powerful fire jutsu Amaterasu and the almost unbreakable genjutsu Tsukuyomi. The Mangekyō Sharingan erodes the eyesight of its users, eventually causing blindness, which can be prevented by obtaining another pair of Mangekyō Sharingan from a sibling. The new Sharingan is dubbed the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan

The Uchiha clan descended from the elder of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. The elder brother inherited the Sage's "eyes", powerful chakra and spiritual abilities. When it came time for the Sage to choose a successor, he questioned the two on what course of action they would follow to bring order to the world. The elder believed that might was the way to bring peace, while the younger believed love was the way. The Sage favoured the ideal of the younger brother, and therefore designated the younger as his successor, causing the elder to be filled with jealousy and hatefulness. From the younger son descended the Senju clan who would be the eternal rivals of the Uchiha.

Before the founding of the ninja villages, the Uchiha were one of the many mercenary clans for hire. Because of their Sharingan, the Uchiha clan came to be known as one of the two strongest clans, the other being the Senju clan. As time passed the Uchiha grew stronger, conquering whatever clans they came upon, such that, whenever the Uchiha clan was hired for a job, the opposing side would hire the Senju, and vice versa.

The Senju clan, grew tired of the endless fighting, and approached the Uchiha clan with a peace treaty. The leader at that time feared that an alliance would lead the Uchiha to ruin, but his clan disagreed, and he was forced to accept. The two clans came together to form Kusamugakure, with the leader of the Senju Clan, being selected as kage. They turned their backs on those who opposed the overall decision, and they defected. Now the Uchiha clan slowly regained their influence in peacetime but what happens next will depend on the generations to come.

1. The way of Survival

A few years previous from the time of the Uchiha Massacre, Uchiha Tomoya's grandparents were noticing the state of corruption in the village of Kusamugakure, fearing their elimination, or even more government problems to appear, they cleaned out their home and fled to the only village they believed they would be safe. They arrived at Nadaregakure, living Inconspicuously outside of the village in a small home that they had build themselves from the lush timber in the area surrounding the village. After months of living in their small hut, and going to Nadaregakure for food and supplies, Tomoya's grandmother was impregnated with a child.


The excited parents were forced to wait for the birth of the kids, continuing to live a peaceful and seemingly unnoticed life outside of Nadaregakure. As the time came, the two parents rushed into Nadaregakure, getting strange looks from all the people around, they rushed to the hospital. His grandmother gave birth later that night to a male who which they named Hagashi Krados hiding his actual last name with their alias. The officials of Nadaregakure began to grow a suspicion about the family, causing them to flee from the village for a large sum of time, so long that the child Krados, had already been informed of his heritage, trained to use Katon jutsu, and had activated his sharingan while being attacked by bandits on the road.


Krados and the now older grandparents moved back to Nadaregakure, Krados being in his early 20s now, he met a kind woman from Nadaregakure. He knew that the heritage was different, but he had to have her. He soon bedded and impregnated her with a child. Nadaregakure recalling their suspicions, found out the indentity of Krados, sending several ANBU to disperse of him, fearing the power he could one day hold. He activated his sharingan in desperation during this fateful battle, confirming their suspicions they killed him and his grandparents, leaving the woman, named Amaya, to fend for herself as a pregnate woman. She got a job waiting tables and a restaurant, doing her job with the problems that came from her state.


After long months of barely being able to stay alive and fend for herself, she gave birth to the child. She also knew his heritage, giving him the name Uchiha Tomoya, though not sharing it with anyone. Her job became alot easier for her, though having to care for her baby she was still living a poor lifestyle, though she knew she was raising the possible last member of the Uchiha clan, motivating her to keep him alive before herself. He reached the age of 6, being enrolled in the Nadaregakure academy, which taught him the three basic jutsu, only having him registered as "Tomoya" and nothing else. He graduated the academy with relative ease, though being made fun of in class for his strange hairstyle, and having supposedly only one name.


He had passed and graduated the academy at the age of ten, and went on to join a genin team, consisting of him and the two bullies that picked on him back in the academy, being generally forced to, he tried to get along with them, though never really succeeding in this task. He had his occasional missions and training sessions with his squad, it being quite a miserable time due to them never really thinking much of him. It was until a couple years of doing absolutely nothing that they were given a dangerous mission. The mission was to escort a simple supply caravan to the cloud village. The squad was on the way there when they were ambushed and informed that the supply caravan they were guarding actually had very valuable artifacts stored in their caravan, it was all a lie to make the mission cheaper. They continued with the mission anyway, though contacting the village about it. Eventually they were attacked by an opposing village's high-level shinobi, assaulting the caravan. The jounin amongst the genin fought in an attempt to defend them, killing one of them before being knocked unconscious. All 3 of them ganged up on the 2nd of the three, defeating the man, the third and final one arrived. He was sporting jounin gear, assaulting the 3 worn out genin, the 2 genin aside from Tomoya were easily dispersed and killed. Tomoya opened his eyes, revealing a sharingan. Tomoya defeated the last, shocked jounin using it, but it faded away(He doesn't have sharingan, it vanished after this.)


The Jounin carried Tomoya back to the village, informing the kage about it. He was allowed to stay in the village and live a normal life, though looked down upon as an Uchiha. His two teammates from before remaining a memory to him, he was one of the last, one of the only Uchiha in the world, and he was hated for it... he could only be left to wonder... "Why?"

the Jounin continued to teach him as much as he could, but he could only teach him some katon jutsu, and a bit of Taijutsu, not knowing how to help him with his sharingan or any of his special abilities. Turns out he would have to figure out this on his own. Tomoya, the Uchiha child who was destined to succeed. Tomoya grew acquainted with people in the village, making very few friends.
