The first of the Sharingan's powers is being able to see the flow of chakra. The Sharingan can tell if a person is under a genjutsu because the person's chakra flow would be irregular.

The Sharingan's second-most prominent ability grants the user an incredible clarity of perception, allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, though not to the same extent as the Byakugan. This also allows the user to pick up on subtle details, enabling them to read lip movements or mimic something like pencil movements. As the Sharingan evolves, gaining more tomoe seals, this ability extends to being able to track fast-moving objects before finally giving some amount of predictive capabilities to the user. However, even though the user may be able to see an attack or know it is coming, their body may not have time to react.

The Sharingan's third and most well-known ability is that it grants the user the ability to memorize any technique that he or she witnesses, apart from other kekkei genkai techniques. The user can memorize ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu with near perfect accuracy, allowing the user to use the techniques as their own, or even modify them to create their own new techniques. In order to reproduce a copied jutsu, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them. In addition to physical skill and kekkei genkai techniques, the Sharingan cannot reproduce jutsu dependent on other factors, such as summons that the user has not signed a contract with.

The Sharingan's final commonly-used ability is capable of inducing a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent through genjutsu cast by simple eye contact. More advanced Sharingan users can take the hypnosis ability even further to the point where a powerful summons or even Bijuu’s may be controlled. When this was used against summons and the Bijuu’s their eyes took on the tomoe pattern of the users' Sharingan while under hypnotic influence.

The hypnotic ability coupled with the other aspects of the Sharingan, can make the user appear as if they can "see the future". First, the user must perfectly mimic every move their opponent makes and possibly their thoughts and words through careful observation. Then, they suggest an action to the opponent such as hand seals for a jutsu that the opponent and Sharingan user already know and copy that. With these things done, the user can complete the action even before the opponent does, possibly using the Sharingan's genjutsu to confuse or delay them. As with other genjutsu, genjutsu cast by the Sharingan are capable of putting an opponent to sleep, inducing paralysis, replaying memories to someone else, or creating various illusions to deceive someone. The potency of the Sharingan's illusion is dependent on the user's knowledge and skill with implementing genjutsu.

Although the Sharingan consumes the user's chakra while active, the chakra levels that the user must exert is so insignificant that they can keep it active constantly. However, when a Sharingan is transplanted to a non-Uchiha, the chakra drain is significant, leading them to cover it up when not in use, to stop the drain.

The Mangekyō Sharingan gives the user access to several powerful techniques, including the powerful fire jutsu Amaterasu and the almost unbreakable genjutsu Tsukuyomi. The Mangekyō Sharingan erodes the eyesight of its users, eventually causing blindness, which can be prevented by obtaining another pair of Mangekyō Sharingan from a sibling. The new Sharingan is dubbed the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan

The Uchiha clan descended from the elder of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. The elder brother inherited the Sage's "eyes", powerful chakra and spiritual abilities. When it came time for the Sage to choose a successor, he questioned the two on what course of action they would follow to bring order to the world. The elder believed that might was the way to bring peace, while the younger believed love was the way. The Sage favoured the ideal of the younger brother, and therefore designated the younger as his successor, causing the elder to be filled with jealousy and hatefulness. From the younger son descended the Senju clan who would be the eternal rivals of the Uchiha.

Before the founding of the ninja villages, the Uchiha were one of the many mercenary clans for hire. Because of their Sharingan, the Uchiha clan came to be known as one of the two strongest clans, the other being the Senju clan. As time passed the Uchiha grew stronger, conquering whatever clans they came upon, such that, whenever the Uchiha clan was hired for a job, the opposing side would hire the Senju, and vice versa.

The Senju clan, grew tired of the endless fighting, and approached the Uchiha clan with a peace treaty. The leader at that time feared that an alliance would lead the Uchiha to ruin, but his clan disagreed, and he was forced to accept. The two clans came together to form Kusamugakure, with the leader of the Senju Clan, being selected as kage. They turned their backs on those who opposed the overall decision, and they defected. Now the Uchiha clan slowly regained their influence in peacetime but what happens next will depend on the generations to come.

Her parents lived in the Uchiha clan housing. It was midnight and the moon was high, her father was returning home after a day of work and excited to see his new born daughter. But not all was well when he saw a deadly flash of silver and felt his head disconnect from his body. Her father now lies in blood beheaded. Her mother pregnant with Mona was lying in bed waiting for her husband that well never comes. She heard the door open and speak out to greet him but she lay there stun to see a man in the doorway with a bloody sickle.

Her mother tried to scream until the man lunged and sliced her throat killing her instantly. Then he slices open the womb to reveal Mona with now blood on her. The man picked her up out of the womb and left the room.

When she was five she was a pleasant and happy girl. She has a best friend named Ken who is unknowingly the son of the man that murder Mona’s family. The both of them play with each other a bunch of times and ken taught her a few genjutsus. One day Mona went home and talk to the man named kenji about her day. But for some odd reason when explaining to kenji what ken taught her, the jutsus went automatic and she look into kenji eyes to witness a murder. She screams as she ran to the wall. Kenji was confused and was trying to calm her down but mona was yelling at the top of her lung but then kenji slapped her in the face making her fall to the ground. Without realizing it, when Mona looked up and locked gaze with kenji, he was under a Genjutsu.

Then iron hot rail road spikes impaled him in the eyes, mouth, neck and many other places that could cause tremoundess pain. Then Mona snapped out of it and saw kenji on the floor with blood

When mona entered the Academy at 6 years old, she was a vicious Kunoichi and still mourn about her parents. She was a excellent student that was very powerful with genjutsus and ninjutsus. After class ken would take her for Kenjutsu training so they spend time together every day. Mona gets good grades and other Academy students admire her. She got scrolls from the Uchiha clan from time to time so she can learn about her bloodline.

At the age of 10 she graduated from academy and became genin. She was still vicious but has a cool temper. Mona was enrolled in a 3 man squad. Until one mission her comrade has been killed including her sensei and was now on a verge of death. The enemy that they were supposed to kill was now above her with a katana in his hand. When he brought it down on her neck a burst of adrenaline rushed threw her body, then she quickly got out of the way and a second later she grabbed a kunai and threw it at the man neck killing him. Then she blacked out. Later when she awoken she found herself in a hospital room.

Remembering what happen she cried for hours because she lost another love one. Then a Bulky Jounin came into the room to cheer her up and told her she was a great Kunoichi and was a good fighter. But it did it cheer her up. When the chuunin exams came around and when she fought in the second round she merciless kill a genin.in the third round she had enough, she went on a killing spring and killed 8 genin. Luckily she got out of the village safe and unharmed. After that she began her life as a missing nin.

Seven years pass since she left the village. As she grown she trains every day to become stronger. Until on her 17th birthday her friend ken found her. Within an instance mona already trapped him in a Genjutsu. He told her that he was in a mission with kenji, he told her that he gave her genjutsus that would kill kenji. He did it want her hurt so he made her stronger so she can fight back against the anbu and save the Uchiha clan, and would love to say one last goodbye. Mona was almost starting to cry until she said thank you for all the time we have together. As she raised the Spike over his head as she said she loves him and brought down the spike upon his head. The Genjutsu breaks and ken now lays on the floor dead. She buried kens body and went off on a mission of her own. But to do that she needs a group that would support her, the Akatsuki

The Blazing Sun was high in the ever blue sky. The air was dry and only a breeze of warm wind. mona did it mind thou, The Temperature will surely be an advantage. She walked calmly to the training grounds thinking what the training would be like. Earlier today she got a note from a messenger pigeon from the Kazekage about the training session. As she got to the training grounds she noticed a few dead black lizards in the sand that have been roasted alive in the heat."man, even the lizards can't take the heat" mona said in amusement as she waited for the chuunin to come.

She was excited for the session because she wanted to try out her kekkei genkai and a few other tricks. Mona looked up to the blue sky and thought how her parents would be happy how strong she became."i wish you were still alive" mona said in a soft voice as she lower her gaze and look around the training ground. All she could see was endless hot sand and a small green pond.

The wind started to pick up a little bit, causing to stir a couple small dust clouds around the training ground. Sweat glands began to drip from her forehead and cheeks."jeez is so hot today, even thought I live in the desert I'm still not comfortable with it" mona whined as she wipe her forehead with her wrist.
