Mission: Damn Weeds = Link
Word Count: 1081/600A single man walked through the village, his silver hair and constantly slit-like eyes seemingly fixated on a single piece of paper. They would momentarily shift from the paper to the surrounding buildings, obviously trying to find a single one out of the many. The man wore dark blue clothes, embroidered with what one would simply think to be that of metal, iron from the looks of it. The sword that was normally in sight on the man was no where to be found at the time, more than likely left at home or being repaired.
The man walked passed a building and was about to continue onward but he gave pause, a single foot raised to move forward but his head turned itself to the direction of the building. It was separated from the others but it stood out...by the sheer amount of overgrowth that plagued the flowerbed and the home itself. This surely had to be the building and after checking with the paper once more, it confirmed it, this was indeed the place. He walked up the the door and raised his fist to knock several times before speaking "
Hello? Misses Yomochi, I'm here to help you with you plant problem...hello?" After a few moments, a voice answered "Oh yes, I did put in an order for help didn't I, please, if you could get started right away, I would be eternally grateful." and then there was silence.
He stared at the door for a moment, as if she would open it at any moment but there was nothing. He would simply have to get done and be on his way. He had accepted the mission on principal, no other would want to soil their hands with such simple work and with that sort of attitude, it would never get done and she would never get any help. He turned around and pulled up his sleeves and took in a deep breath. It would surely be a long day and he had a good amount of work ahead of himself.
He walked in front of the house and turned around to take another look at just what he had to work with. First things first, the plants on and around the home would be the easiest to get without much of a problem, the weeds in the flowerbed would pose more of a problem. He takes in a deep breath and holds his hands together in the form of the tiger "
Water style, water clone jutsu." With that, water began to rise from both his left and his right till there were three Lee's standing, one beside the other. The skill was a simple one and it was best for the task at hand as he was sure no one would join him. The clones would walk to the house and begin to pull the weeds from it, tossing them onto a pile with little care.
While the two clones worked on the house, they would surely not touch the garden, Lee would take care of that personally to make sure nothing would be missed or destroyed. In the midst of the picking, he heard the door open as he pulled a weed that would show that he was little over halfway done. He turned his attention to see that the door closes but something was off. He turned his attention to one of the clones that was finishing off the side of the house to go and see what it was. The clone brought it to Lee to which he stared. It was a single glass of what looked to be lemonade and a sandwich. Lee took the glass and sandwich from the clone as it then went back to work on the rest of the house.
Lee enjoyed the small break and ate the sandwich though after finding that it contained vegetables and after trying to force down a few bites, found that it would be good fertilizer but the lemonade was thirst quenching and then, it was back to work. With the close watch and more control over them, he let the clones come to work by his side and before the sight of the moon, the ground was fresh and there was a nice large, tall pile of weeds and unwanted plants. Lee clapped his hands free from the dirt and dust and then held his hands together in the form of the tiger once more "
Release." and as he spoke these words, the two clones dropped to the ground and formed two puddles of water as they had served their usefulness.
It was then that the door opened itself once more and Lee turned his attention to it once more "
I've finished...the...work..." his voice trailed off as he was met by the old lady herself, and she was winking at him "That's wonderful, thank you. Please, come in, keep an old woman company." "
No, I couldn't." "Nonsense, I insist."
Lee somehow had been coxed into the home with the door closing behind him. She offered him a seat that he took willingly and without rejection, he was here, no point in dragging it out. Misses Yomochi sat down next to him, a full seat away as to give him space. "What is your name lad?" "
Lee. Lee Ketsueki ma'am." "Please, just call me Yomochi, my husband died some time ago. He used to help me with the garden till he passed. He was such a strong man, like you are now. You remind me of him." She eyed him up and down as she said it which caused him to look toward the door. "Here, have a drink." The woman held a glass to him in which he took and downed quickly, to try and draw his attention away from the woman. They talked more and he was given more drinks till she scooted closer to him, she removing a shoulder to her top.
Music followed and hours passed as many sounds came from the home. After that, the door opened as Lee made his way out, his hair in a mess and a dazed look on his face. It seemed that the drinks the woman had given him were of the alcoholic nature. He would have to go and turn in that his mission was accomplished, making sure to leave out certain details that would not need to be mentioned.
